I just heard there is a chance that this new law will be passed Thursday and if it is then that means all sites that the government deems inappropriate will be removed from the internet and if you try and get it back then you go to jail. Or something along those lines, not sure if I said it correctly or not. So I was wondering if there is a possibility that Elliquiy might be removed due to sexual content?

Because streaming sites, downloading sites and maybe porn will be removed if the law is passed. Hopefully we don't lose Elliquiy! Anyway yeah tell me your thoughts...

As far as I know, said law is currently unconstitutional. The Internet falls within Free Speech and all that, so there is no chance that it could get passed, and even if it did, there would be a **** storm so big that it would get repealed fast.

This kind of thing can only exist in either the kind of Draconian society portrayed in films like Equilibrium, or places like North Korea, where the Government and the people have about as much communication as a failing marriage.

Still, the thought of something like this being passed is pretty frightening.

All such sites don't have such protection communities can go after pornographic sites if they wanted to since its obscene content, its just impractical to go after sites one by one. And many are not in the US proper. I would think unless your having actual child porn pictures and movies as opposed to stories about sex with children with no art or pics ,just an example since its literary under former court precedents in the 70's, it would be hard for the FEDERAL government to go after. Normally this is a state or local juristictional matter to prosecute.

I don't think this site would be affected at all. If you think about it rps are just stories being made by two or more people. Now if we did have some porn pics or something on that nature there would be danger, but as far as I know I really doubt something like elly would be affected by this.

Cheka Man

We should be safe as long as we avoid child porn and that level of disgustingness. I doubt that the FBI will send an undercover agent in here anytime soon.

Obsidian Isolabella

I did not even hear about this law, and seriously? That sounds like they would be messing so badly with Free Speech and all, so I really doubt that they would get to pass it and even if they did, SOOO many Americans would get furious over that.
