I seriously question if its even possible to get a Big Daddy drunk xD those things have got to have some pretty high resistance...

Hemingway

Delta can get drunk. I have empirical evidence. And it's not pretty.

Drill Specialist + alcohol = trouble.

I just hope Bioshock Unlimited heals my woes for the series (which is admittedly not many, but still big ones). I find myself more and more jaded as a gamer though.

Wii 2: Rumored to have hardware slightly more powerful than 360 and a Touch screen Controller.

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/109303-Rumored-Tech-Specs-Give-Wii-2-More-Power-Than-Xbox-360

...O-o...That sounds awesome.

Thats a bad idea. If a Wii console has hardware capable of doing good graphics for ANYONE, then every man and his dog will be making Unreal Engine 3 games for it. Its completely against their policy of exclusive long running franchises with naive fan bases that will viscously defend the games and spend as much money as told to, even for straight ports.

By keeping the hardware a pile of shit and beetle husks, they ensure the only people releasing quality games for it are the ones that have taken the time and commitment to learn to get actually good graphics out of it, usually people so deep into their Nintendo contracts they can't really get around it. See, if all the games on Wii looked passable, would Metroid Prime 3 turn any heads with its actually pretty graphics? No!

All the rest are forced to come up with Wiimote specific gimmicks since they can't just add ragdoll and explosions and motion blur to everything.

THIS IS HOW NINTENDO GETS RICH SOMEHOW DX

Hey if you can explain Nintendo's scheme then maybe you can give me the answer to why Blizzard is rich. Seriously, all I can figure is that when you open a W.O.W. or Starcraft II box PCP-laced acid and cocaine dust all blow out and instantly addict people to something that was vogue in 1998. DX

This was my theory regarding those collectible card games of 15 years ago.  I know people that bought shrink-wrapped boxes as 'investments' and then watched the bottom fall out of that market.

The buyer/seller market for cards is pretty bad, the player base is still good.

This.  Mr. Oniya still gets some use out of his decks with pickup games (not nearly the rabid amount that we saw even 10 years ago), but when we were strapped and looking for ways to get by, I was looking at the collectibles markets to see if the black-border Rage cards we inherited from a friend were worth getting rid of.  Answer?  No.

QuoteSources now confirm to IGN the new Nintendo controller allows players to stream entire games to the device from the console, saying it's like a miniature television. The screen size on the controller is also confirmed to be six inches in size.

....No fucking way....@_@ Nintendo is the future!

I can't wait to see what other things about the Wii 2 will be announced....it's already been confirmed that the controller has a 6 inch touch screen (Along with the above abso-****ing-lutely amazing information) on it and resembles a gamecube controller.

@_@

Well..sign me back up for Nintendo, guys...I'm hooked.

Thats sounds almost as pointless as the 3DS. :/

:/ how is the 3DS pointless? It's the next step in portable gaming.

I really need to fire that up again sometime soon. Heartbreakingly difficult at times with the slightest mistake punished ruthlessly... but it's your mistakes being punished, not the computer getting arbitrary advantages and you can look back and see what mistakes they were. Similar to the early X-COM games (which I also need to play again)... make you scream at times (I've had my whole team wiped out in the 3rd or 4th turn before) but so rewarding.

The amount a dedicated modder community can add to the game is incredible to the extent there's certain series (notably Total War) that I basically don't play until the mod community has got hold of it... although it is worth noting that many of the Total War games are essentially broken when released meaning that until official patches are released mods are basically your only hope.

Wolfy

Playing Portal 2.

God am I loving it...especially a certain robot pal. :D

Wolfy

OMG....I love GLaDoS in Portal 2.

Dude, screw that thing. There is little to no difference between that and the DS except for the 3D. and to be honest, I don't give a crap about 3D

When the psp learns to get up and scratch my ass while playing halo, then that will be the next step in portable gaming. :P

Some people, me included, would like 3D hardware and games that support it, but its not something you can release a whole new console for... like motion controls.

Inkidu

I applaud Nintendo for taking the hardware-innovation approach. Still, 3D will only catch on when someone can get rid of the glasses, and make it where it doesn't work in limited viewing areas. I'm not going to buy a 3DS because 3D has never worked for me. I'm not going to spend $250 plus dollars American on something that might or might not work. :P

Plus their advertising strategy is borderline fraudulent. T.V. commercials showing off the 3DS's capabilities. Well, maybe on 3D T.V.s. I, for one, know that I'm not actually seeing 3D footage. Not a smart move, Nintendo, but it's probably the only one you've got. :(

I'm still waiting for 3D FPSs. Making you feel like you're part of the environment. Leaves brushing against the screen and that sort of thing. Your weapon being affected by your surroundings, pushed aside by stones and such. Yeah. I'm waiting for that.
