Dramen

I have an idea for a RP which would have Superheroes / Superheroines trying to keep the peace in a certain town or city. There would of course be Villains / Villainesses playing havoc with their peace keeping attempts.  Details can be suggested and worked out at a later date if there is interest in this by a few parties. I'm thinking that their would of course be fights and many possibilities for bondage and erotic interaction of any kind.

My personal preference is male v female interaction but this would be a group of males and females v another group of males and females. This could be done with many people or just a few. Just reply to this if you are interested or PM me.

Thanks!

Tydorei

TheVillain

Depends on the gender dynamics, but this could be interesting. I'm leaning supervillain.

Current Idea: Hush

Hush's power is that he's audiokinetic- he can create, manipulate, or cancel out sound with his mind. A rogue former-CIA spy, he went into the business for himself as a hitman. So yes, he's most certainly a villain in that he's one of the best assassins that money can buy. But he also does have a code of ethics; like no kids, no "kill the whole family to send a message" jobs, no cops unless they are crooked, and no capes unless they're crooked. So he doesn't do evil for the lulz, he does it because he's being paid- if shit is reaching "we're all going to die!" levels he may even chip in a few freebies because it's his home too. And let's face it. Nine times out of 10 if someone is willing to pay an expensive hitman to kill you, it's because you've done something that deserves it.

As for his personal life, he's all about the fast cars, good whiskey, steak, the benjamens, and beautiful women. Rumor has it he's a womanizer of simply staggering proportions- one who is rumored to particularly enjoy figuring out the identities of heroines and getting them to sleep with him in their civilian identities.

Rather interested. Thinking of playing either a villain with the best of intentions or a antihero depending how this falls together. I'll check in on this periodically and see if it picks up.

Niki315

A hero game would be fun ^^  I have a couple ideas for heroes or villains.  Since we've already got two villain types, I could go hero probably.

CaptainErotica

If we can keep a good ratio of male/female this could be fun. We don't even need that if we stray closer toward a more traditional supers RP. I'm thinking maybe a Green Arrow type(Ala Smallville).

Dramen

I'm liking how this looks so far... I agree if we get the right combo of people here, it could be tons of fun.

I'm thinking maybe a higher up hero for myself right now. I always tend to lean towards a villain so that would be easy too. But a big time hero sounds good too. Have a few ideas...

Paragon is his name... he's got most of the Superman tools like super strength, super speed, flight. He doesn't have heat vision or super breath though. Basically tons of super strength and speed, with flight.

He's a younger hero but high up in the heroes... thingy... if there is a hero organization that is... ((thoughts?))

Well respected but does have a bad temper and a darker side that he struggles with from time to time depending on if the villain or villainess knows what buttons to push.

Tydorei

I was about to ask what the power range of this game would be... so... is your character as strong and as fast as super man. Or does he just have super strength and is very fast. Cause, you know... superman cannot be beaten... Can you be stabbed or shot?

As it stands Hush, the only complete app so far, can't even dream of fighting superman.

Elven Sex Goddess

I am also interested in this.   As for being a heroine or villain babe.    I can go either way as needed.

However,  with the tag that there will be conflict between the two groups.   Free form might not be the best way to go.   So will there be a system used.  Such as Mutants and Masterminds for example.

Dramen

Paragon is extremely strong and extremely fast and can fly, but he is certainly no Superman. I don't really want any untouchables you know? I think it best if anyone can be beaten... of course some should probably be more experienced than others and that sort of thing.

Elven Sex Goddess: What kind of system would work well with this do you think? I'll be honest. This is sort of my original post here and my brainchild but I am not that experienced in setting rules that work for group games. So what do you think?  I'm open to ideas completely.

Crud I'm just so freaking excited that there was even one reply much less this many...  :)

As far as Character information, I was thinking we could set up something for that once this moves closer to starting. I'd think there would be some type of thing like:

Name:

Original Name (if applicable _[clark kent for example]):

Powers:

Weaknesses:

Physical Stats (height and look... that sort of thing):

Bio (a brief [paragraph or so] history):

--
That's just for starters and suggestions...  any pointers or suggestions?

Niki315

If there's conflict, it comes down to the honor system.  We're all adults here, we should be able to limit our advantages and disadvantages in some way so that we don't all end up over the top and unable to do anything.  My character's going to be actually fairly weak in terms of super powers, but has a very useful utility kind of power.  She's best at dealing with minions and small time enemies and probably can't hold her own against anyone of real power.  If there's a hero's league or something, I'd probably end up being the weak link.  Like Aquaman.

Dramen

I like the sound of that. I mean any big story parts can be worked out in a planning thread or OOC thread so that there aren't any or many conflicts.

I'm thinking more a story than a game (more post oriented than rolling dice oriented in other words).

I love that character idea Niki315! Sounds great!

I'm going to say that in a straight fight, yes- Hush no change against a Superman-type. But then again, Hush would never let the situation get to that point. He cheats, and he knows when to just leave.

And just to make it official.

Name: Hush

Original Name: Kevin Cronin

Powers: Audiokinesis - Hush has the ability to sense, create, control, and cancel out sound with his mind. In theory there's little limits to this power, though in practice actually gathering up enough sound to make a power blast strong enough to knock a paragon out of the sky is completely exhausting to the point he'd pass out afterwards.
Spy Training - While not a power per se, Hush has been as about as well trained in spycraft as the CIA is capable of doing.
Networking - Keeping a few friends from his spy days, he has a small network of informants and suppliers just a phonecall away. Including Calculus, a super-intellegent villainous information broker that offers his services as agent/supplier/information hub/legal advisor/health insurance provider/ anything that doesn't involve him actually going out into the field in return for a 10% cut.

Weaknesses: Women. God, he just can't get enough of them. Currently STD free at the moment, but that's mostly because Calculus has a couple mad scientists on call that are more then willing to cure any disease for a fee. Rumor has it he has a complete list of his past sexual conquests somewhere in his possessions, it's over 600 names long, and includes the civilian identities of multiple super-heroines. In his defense, the encounters are always consensual and he almost always uses a condom.

The truth is not quite that macho-impressive. He is a shameless womanizer that is at the moment STD free and Calculus does know scientists that between all of them could cure every STD on the planet- that is true. Hush does keep a complete record but it's only photographic so there's no names or personal information. It is in the triple digits, which is impressive in itself, but it's most certainly not over 600. Finally, he does go out of his way to include women that live in the same area of a super-heroine that look like they could be the civilian identities of the super-heroine- but this is mostly for chuckles as he has no idea if they really were them.

Disability - His sense of hearing is tied to his psychic powers. If he's ever in a situation where he loses his Audiokinesis power he also becomes completely deaf.

Physical Stats: Thanks to his deep spy training, Hush has Olympic Athlete level strength, speed, agility, and stamina. If he competed in the Olympics he probably would not win in any metals, but he'd put in a respectable performance in any and every event he got into. Appearance-wise he's been described as "James Dean, the 50's movie actor one, if Jimmy worked out more". Handsome yes, but not quite handsome enough that the stories about how many sexual partners he's had is believable at a glance. It does however become believable when his looks are used in concert with CIA Seduction and Sedition training.

Bio: Born without many of the inner ear parts needed for hearing and the son of hardcore REO Speedwagon fans, Kevin tried to enjoy his parent's music as well by putting his hand on the speakers and feeling the vibrations. This ability to feel the vibrations soon extended to just being in the same room, then the same floor, then the same building. Completely baffling doctors, it would really get onto certain intelligence circle radar when in a moment of panic he cancelled out all sound within a wing of his school for the deaf when he was 16. Confirmed to be Audiokinetic, Kevin was recruited by a secret branch of the CIA that dealt with optimizing their use of psychics. The branch collapsed after the CO was revealed to be using his psychic assassins on his political opponents as well as genuine threats to the American people, and Kevin went into business for himself with the only real friend he had from the secret CIA branch- a super-intelligent hacker and information broker codenamed Calculus. Ever since then he's been one of the best assassins money can buy- and definitely the best that still calls his parents on weekends.  :P

Name: Paragon

Original Name: Daxon Kleig (personal friends call him Dax)

Powers:
__Strength: He has the strength to bend solid steel. This is his foremost and                      strongest power. He can also take more damage than a normal strength human male.
__Speed: He’s not as fast as a bullet but extremely fast. It’s equal to about three times normal speed.
__Flight: He can fly as fast as he can move on the ground. He’s not fond of flying all of the time but it has it’s uses.
He can also take more damage than a normal strength human male. It runs along and is equal to

Weaknesses:
__Temper: His temper has been known to get the best of him as he has some roguish tendencies. If a villain or Villainess knows what buttons to push they can get him off of his game.
__Burnout: If he uses his powers too much over a long period of time, Paragon gets extremely tired. At that point he is slightly weaker than a normal strength human male. It comes on his suddenly and if it happens at the wrong time can be devastating. Most of the time it isn’t an issue because his strength and speed allows him to end fights quicker than his powers burnout. But it has happened. Once in this weakened state, it varies how long it lasts. If he is able to rest and recuperate his strength it won’t last more than 15 minutes. If however he is attacked while weakened, it can last much longer.

Physical Stats:
Paragon stands at 6’2” tall and has a muscular build. His is not a body builder’s physique but lean strong muscles. Facially he has been told that he is beautiful by a select few. While most don’t agree with that, the consensus would be well above normal. He wears various styles of tight outfits most with black in the coloring. They all have a thin armor weave within the fabric that helps protect.

Bio:

Daxon Kleig was born to middle class parents and cruised through a normal first few years of life. At the age of 10 he started showing signs of being significantly stronger than other children. No one had an explanation for it but young Dax over time would grow into a super powered teenager. He started fighting injustice at school as he grew older and from there evolved into what he is today. To this day he doesn’t know where his abilities came from exactly. There are only rumors of previous members of his family that had similar gifts but nothing concrete.

Once an adult, Dax took the name Paragon and officially became a Superhero. He is proud of who he is and doesn’t even wear a mask. Most of the people who grew up with him knew he had special powers anyway. So Dax figures there is no sense in hiding his face.
He has been extremely successful and at the age of 31 is considered one of the top heroes anywhere. The only thing that nags him is that his temper still flares up and gets the best of him from time to time. That is something he tries to work on.

Those are two good examples of what would be a good character sheet I think. I guess we can just post it here until we get enough to move it forward. We might have enough already. Is there a certain number you need?

Black Orchid

Add me in, I love a good superhero/Villain RP, I, of course, will be a villain—I never really liked the do goodies—my character will be female, and a villain, so add my ratio to the board. I'll post up a profile later when one is made, I just thought I'd leave myself a little reservation. Shall I use the profile format above?

Sure black orchid.... sounds good to me...  yours sounds like a character that would work well..

@TheVillain: So where would this be do you think? Human big groups_NC? I'm really so new at this part of it. I'm up for getting it started as soon as we can. Of course people can still join up when it's started I guess.

Edit: I think at this point we have one or two more girls than guys. It's at least pretty close. That works with me.

TheVillain

Small groups, big groups is earned when a group game has over 1000 posts all told. And if you plan to toss in rape into this game you put it in NC. I personally don't plan to, though if someone wants to for story I won't argue. At the moment, I'd say Bondage: Human Small Groups- though it really depends on what every else wants to.

I love supers stuff.  I'd personally really like to play something similar to a Green Lantern type character.  It gives him the option of having lots of entertaining toys at his disposal.  He should probably be a bit more of a vigilante type than an ultra clean-cut hero, though.

...

If we were going to use a system, I'd recommend Truth & Justice.  It's substantially simpler than M&M, which I think is very important when not everyone is a real system-person.  And it allows for social or other attacks, which I think is pretty important.  If (to use an example above) someone had a weakness for women, then flashing some skin at him would actually be a viable combat tactic.

MURPG (Marvel Universe RPG) is another good game system to use for PbP. It's diceless and pretty easy to learn. If we want to try it I can help people with the system. The only major downside I can see is that creating characters would delay the start of the game.

I'll have my character bio sheet done up sometime today.

Dramen

Can you explain a little about the MURPG for those of us sort of new to PbP RPs like... like me :P?

I like the sound of no dice. But I'd have to hear more about it to know for sure...

Black Orchid

Aw... systems... I really hoped for a free form, as a newbie to systems, I'm sure you can smell my disdain. I've played systems before (small, and very unorganized) but it makes me feel a little restricted and bites at my creative flow. I guess I'm willing to learn, if someone would elaborate on how this whole system would work...

Actually, I decided to get off the fence and I'd prefer it if there's no system. Let's just all agree that if your character gets too munchkiny then it gets eaten by a sandworm. Deal?

WyzardWhately

Well, if we'd lose people over having a system, we probably should just forgo it.

That being said...

MURPG uses bidding instead of dice.  Bidding is blind, so there's some guesswork which takes the place of randomization.

More specifically, you have ratings in various attributes (powers, skills, abilities, etc.), and a pool of stones.  If you want to, say, blast someone with your laser eyes, then you'd bid stones for your attack and they'd bid for their defense.  The reveal is simultaneous.  The numerical rating of the attribute is the maximum number of stones you can bid, and your pool refreshes by a certain amount each round.

This is probably doable via a PBP format, if we had a referee to whom both participants could PM their bids for a given round.  There's more complexity to the game than just that, of course, but I'm not going to type out more than is necessary to get a feel for it.

However, I don't particularly *like* MURPG, and I don't think overall I'd recommend it.  Character generation is complex enough that we'd need someone to make character sheets to order for those not familiar, and the game is pretty easily breakable - some concepts or types of characters are very much advantaged over others, in ways that aren't necessarily reflective of the genre.

I'm going to say right now, I don't like systems—especially in this sense since I feel this is more story playing than card/dice/level playing games—but I don't want to influence my hate for them. As said before, we're adults here, and I'm sure with a strong story hold, and a little PM with another, we could make an agreement on who wins what fight and when.

I'm very—no—extremely lenient when it comes to being a winner or a loser, so I find myself easily falling into anyone's storyline they have set when interacting with my character. I feel a system is for those who cant bare to forfeit a fight and actually lose for a change, so they allow the systems to forcefully decide for them, but like before, we are adults, we can have a pleasant PM over how a fight would go about, and list why we feel our character would win such battles.

With our strengths and weakness, it's obvious who should truly win; like say, if my character had super speed, but get's easily distracted, and another character had some kind of super sound wave, but can't really move when they shoot the wave in a certain direction. Super Speed Man could win because he could dodge the sound waves, and hit Sound Wave Guy while he's currently frozen in his vibrating screech/ or Super Speed Man could lose by being knocked out of his speed by the raking sound Waves that Sound Wave Guy threw at him. Something liked that, chatting over a PM, and we should be able to respectively come to an agreement.

Oh, like that. And for the record, so far from what I've seen my guy will probably lose if it's a fair fight. True, he's also the type to avoid a fair fight as much as possible- but if it does happen best he can hope for is hiding.

Elven Sex Goddess

#30
Name:  BAD
(Bodacious Action Dame)

Original Name: Raquel Hunter

Powers:  Regenerative;  the ability to self heal.  In amazing fashion, from broken bones to open gaping wounds.  Is suspected she has the ability to regenerate from a single cell.  Through this has never been put to the test.
Olympic class athlete;  Physically conditioned as a Olympic athlete.   Highly skilled Alpine skier,  mountain climber, sky diver and scuba diver.
Judo; rank of 10th Dan (red belt)   only a handful in the world reach this level at a time.
Connections;  Connected to the extreme action sports culture and world.

Weaknesses:  Power handicap;  Aside from her regenerative power.   Bad is no where near the scope of the heavy hitters.   Despite being a world class Olympic athlete and a red belt in Judo.
Bimbo factor;   Bad is highly intelligent,  but her lack of common sense.   Is so brazen, it puts her in a whole new class of bimbo.   In which she makes the 'house bunny' (movie) look like a valedictorian.

Physical Stats:  Hair color/style;  Black / long voluptuous full body, eye color; brown, height; 5'4" (162.6 cm), weight; 127lbs (57.6 kg),  measurements; 34C - 24 - 36.
Bio:  Racquel hails originally from  Galena, Illinois.   From a well to do family of upper society.   That had vacation homes from Aspen, Colorado,   to Key West Florida.   At one time,  Raquel was on the junior circlet with Alpine skiing.  As she had aspirations to skiing in the Olympics.    It is at the age of thirteen that she had a siginicant accident on one of the slopes.  Where her femur broke in such a way from a fall on the slopes.  It actually broke skin and protruded.   However,  by the time she was airlifted to the hospital.   Her leg was no longer broken,  nor was the bone sticking out of her skin.    This would lead to a daring bodacious attitude of hers that she would push things to the limit.   From turning to sky diving,  how fast she could take her bike up to.   The adrenalin rush is a big high.

Now her moral compass is not so clear cut.   As she borders on a real gray area of morals.    Really as to which side she falls.  A heroine or villain babe, just depends who does the greatest sell job to her.   Because the real truth in her world.  Is not right or wrong.  But  that rush of adrenalin junkie she is.

Through the moniker as a super, is perhaps a stretch.  However, what ever side Raquel falls into.  She is a quite capable side kick.  Thou not limited with no potential for growth.    With additional gadgets,  the adrenalin junkie could be transformed into a super type and not just a side kick.   Speaking of growth and improvement.   Raquel is currently taking lessons for acquiring her pilot's license.   As she looks for new avenues to explore for that rush.

Finally super or side kick or both can simply be tossed out the window.   For she is the Mary Jane that can survive, thanks to her unique mutant gene factor of regeneration.  That a hero or villain can get close to.   With not fearing that his enemies will use this against him, by going after her.

(Work in progress)

Well here is my first stab at submitting a character.    Can go either way with her.     An free form be fine.

Dramen

Nice Elven Sex Goddess! Love the pic too.

Yeah I don't think we need to use any kind of system either. Lets just start it free-form as has been discussed here and then we'll figure out solutions to problems as we go.

So I'm going to start the official page soon. Do I move this page or start a new one? Who knows how that works? LoL help...

CaptainErotica

I agree about not using a system. I merely threw MURPG out there as a suitable system should we decide to use one.

Here is my character I am thinking about playing. I actually made him for a MURPG game, so he will need a few tweaks, mostly to his age and stuff. I left it in MURPG format in case anyone was interested in what a character might look like. I'll make a new sheet before we start.

Also is he ok with everyone else? I'm asking mostly in regards to the fact that anyone involved in an erotic scene with him, might be subject to some pretty kinky stuff (slime and slime tentacles).

WyzardWhately

Name: Starlight

Original Name: Derek Tenenbaum

Powers: Derek Tenenbaum was granted a cosmic ring, to use protecting the world from superpowered or alien dangers, due to his great will and courage.
Cosmic Ring: The ring has many functions, minor and major.  Major functions include protecting him with force fields, allowing him to fly, providing life support, and the ability to attack with energy or create "hard energy" constructs.  The ring can theoretically form anything he can imagine, but in practice it's limited by his finite knowledge and experience.  He could create a sword, a flashlight, or a motorcycle, but not a teleportation device or an effective surgical robot.  Minor functions include language translation, various types of scanning, transforming his clothing into a costume, turning itself (but not him) invisible, and various artificially intelligent information applications that he frankly doesn't understand and can't be bothered with.  The ring also keeps him in good health so long as he wears it, but this doesn't really amount to more than the typical comic book hero's resilience.
Badass: Derek isn't a world-class athlete or high-ranking martial artist, but he's in good enough shape to wear a tight costume without embarrassing himself, can handle himself impressively well in a fight, and is certainly one of the most fearless people on the planet.  This is a quality that might never have been noticed without being selected for a ring, but it does allow him to rise to heights of heroism unattainable by normal people.  His will and courage allow him to overcome pain and fear that would stop a normal (saner?) person.

Weaknesses:
Item Dependent: Without the ring, Derek is nothing more than a competent and very brave baseline human.  He could potentially manage some action-movie stunts, but wouldn't be a match for a reasonable supervillain or a bear* in a fair fight.
Starlight Power:  The ring is weak against Darkforce.  Normal darkness flees before the ring's light, but supernatural or animate darkness and shadow can overwhelm his energy constructs and temporarily dampen the ring's powers.
Mask Addict: Derek loves being a superhero, more than anything.  He's gradually shedding more and more of his normal life and spending increasing amounts of time in-costume.  Derek is disappearing and Starlight is more and more his "real" self.  If anything ever happened to take the ring away, Derek would probably do anything to "get back in the game."

Physical Stats: Derek is 5'11", and in good shape but not a bodybuilder.  He has blue eyes, sandy hair, and a few tattoos that would be covered by a t-shirt and shorts.  There are a few scars on his body, a handful of them worthy of remark. (But nothing has left a scar since he started wearing the Ring...)

Bio: Derek was a talented but directionless young man before he found the ring.  He had spent some time as a soldier, some working on a ship, a period as a firefighter and an EMT, a brief stint in chef school (he never finished), has worked as a reporter and a PI.  He'd pick a profession, get his license, start to do well, get bored, and move onto something else that interested him.  But then...he found the ring.  While doing his first solo rounds as a Park Ranger, something silver fell from the sky and spoke to him.  It told him he had been selected for his great courage and willpower, and clamped onto his hand.  Ever since, he's had the most exciting and challenging job anyone could imagine.

If only he could figure out a way to make it pay something...

*This is what superhero RPG lovers refer to as "the bear test" for new PCs.  What would a given PC do if confronted by a hostile, but otherwise normal, bear.  Any PC who can't escape or defeat the bear is probably underpowered.  This is especially useful when deciding whether or not to accept the results of a particularly perverse bout of rolling in a random character generation system.

Um...thumbs up/down? I've got an interesting idea for an evil psychic bouncing around, but scanning over the thread shows 3 male heroes, 1 female heroine/sidekick, and 1 male villain + 1 female villain. A bit tilted in favor of 'male' and 'hero', but I can only solve one of those problems. :/

EDIT: Included. Now it's just imbalanced in favor of 'male hero'. I think I can let myself start working then, help Team Evil even the odds a bit. :D

Mark up one villainess; I've made my character and posted her.

I've just realized something I wanted to add; should we place something, like a big sign saying Superhero/Neutral/SuperVillain above or below our characters, or something? Just so we don't get confused?

I happen to be interested. Elven Sex Goddess' suggestion of Mutants and Masterminds as a base furthered that. I'm in a bit of a dilemma though, I have a char in my box that I'd like to use but Elven beat me to the regeneration thing.
I'd still like to join though, if people wouldn't mind? My char is more a female Wolverine/Sabertooth style with the regeneration and basic abilities though. Feral, basically. I can post the info to be looked over beforehand if you'd like.

IMHO: A little power overlap isn't bad.  It's concept overlap that hurts.  Think how many heroes have super-strength and some degree of invulnerability.  Even in the Big Seven JLA, there are two with heat vision, four with superspeed, and five with superstrength.  Doubling up on regen isn't even vaguely weird.

The concept behind her is ... I don't have a word for it. She was born here in the states in the area of the 1850's. She was born with inhuman traits, similar to Sabertooth, so she was sold to a circus. She was saved by another feral at a point, and was then looked after by them. She has a general dislike for human's because of the way she was treated. She has perhaps a deeper dislike for those with abilities who can pass as normal, because until recent years she couldn't. Regardless of her dislike, she will not tollerate people being mistreated.

Name: Puppeteer

Original Name:Dr. Yuri Fantanovich

Quote: 'A mind is a terrible thing to waste - I think I'll make use of yours.'

Powers:
Psychic Possession: Dr. Fantanovich can project his consciousness out of his current host body into that of any other body in view, typically immediately displacing the person's mind and taking direct control himself. While dwelling inside a host body, he treats it as though it were his own, including any paranormal abilities they might have. This does not give him immediate access to knowledge or memories of the host, though the host's mind remains intact and he can mentally interrogate the captive mind for whatever he needs. Unusually powerful or determined minds can resist his control or even forcibly eject him, but they are extremely rare, and anyone he dominates for an extended period of time typically ends up with significant mental trauma.
Post-Possession Suggestions: Upon taking over a host body, Dr. Fantanovich can implant any number of hidden  commands into the host's subconscious, set to trigger at a specific time or in response to a certain stimulus after he leaves them. These commands can be of almost any nature, and when triggered, take effect with the same force as if he were still in direct control, making the average person unable to resist carrying out the instructions.
Functional Immortality: Dr. Fantanovich's mind is tied to his current host body, and he can transfer between them almost instantaneously. His bodies continue to age as normal, but he can easily just pick up a new host whenever he desires. As a side effect, this makes him extremely difficult to capture, since he can abandon his current body and flee into any nearby bystander to escape or continue fighting.

Weaknesses:
Host Body Dependency: The bodiless essence that remains of the original Yuri Fantanovich is effectively helpless, and cannot survive long outside a host. His physical capabilities are completely dependent on those of the body he is currently occupying, and the unstable nature of his cloning techniques limits what he can build into self-made bodies to merely above average, far from outright superhuman. Attempts to possess superhumans or abmortals usually result in failure, since they often have exceptional willpower to coincide with their power. Repeated body-jumping in close sucession also rapidly depletes his energy, forcing him to retreat and recuperate. Similarly, he has no combat training or athletic practice himself, and cannot extract such training from dominated minds, only make use of the physical side effects.
Single Presence: Although his ability to implant hypnotic suggestions into people allows him a large supply of potential pawns, he is only capable of directly controlling one host at a time. An abandoned host immediately regains full control of its body, though he frequently embeds commands that prevent an ex-host from becoming a threat to him, and the psychological trauma of his presence is still harmful.
Megalomania: Spending every sleepless moment as a tormented, spirit-like creature isn't healthy for anyone's psyche. 'Puppeteer', as he frequently takes to calling himself, considers every other person on Earth to be inferior to him and at best worthy of being a potential host, which frequently results in his underestimating potential foes. Even after being defeated by them, his self-assurance is such that he will quickly dismiss it as a fluke and remain confident in his eventual triumph.

Physical Stats:
Variable. Dr. Fantanovich/Puppeteer wears bodies like cheap rubber gloves, and discards them almost as casually if the situation merits it.

Biography:
Yuri was once a brilliant scientist, holding doctorates in both neurology and applied genetics, alongside lesser degrees in an assortment of other fields. Unfortunately, his keen interest in fringe science and outright paranormal phenomena meant he frequently struggled for funding to support his experiments and research. He worked with self-proclaimed psychics reportedly capable of performing astral projection, or otherwise sending their minds out of their bodies, scrutinizing their geonomes for a common similarity that could be the root cause. Eventually, he thought he had succeeded, and set to splicing the deviant code in question into the most deserving test subject - himself. It worked...partly. He gained the ability to separate his mental essence from its physical body...but once he did so, he did not know how to return.

Bodiless and helpless, the sensations drove him a little bit mad, and his brain-dead former body expired long before he worked out how to insert himself back into a physical shell. This didn't bother him unduly anymore, though, since he found himself with the ability to take over a body regardless of if it was already occupied, the previous owner reduced to a screaming ghost in their own mind. He needed funding, and used his power to get it, taking over hosts and forcing them to transfer assets to numbered foreign accounts that he later emptied, purchasing the equipment he needed to continue his research.

And if you did so, who got raped? At least two bodies and three people, only one of which gave legitimate and knowledgable consent. A woman having sex with her husband would be consensual, but if he was currently being possessed/mind-controlled, now she's actually with someone else who she didn't consent to (a similar example, I'm pretty certain it's rape if a woman agrees to sex with their husband/boyfriend and the man's twin brother takes his place without her knowledge). For that matter, what about the guy? He probably didn't agree to have his body used this way...did he get raped too, and was it by the woman or by the person doing the possession?

My head hurts now.

Well, you can rape a comatose person, so I'd say you'd also have raped the body of the person who you were inhabiting, at least under common-law rape where a judge has some discretion.  IT might not hit the exact statutory definition in the real world, but we can assume that in a world where there are superpowers, shit like this WILL be illegal.

I was thinking more like some forcible incest or incestuous seduction, if we had anyone whose kinks ran that way.  Simple SO/Spouse stuff is also potentially pretty crazy.

I was thinking of making a mutant type character. Her superhero name is 'Dragon' as she can create and manipulate fire. Her appearence is also slightly draconic, with black leathery wings that lay just beneath her skin, but slip out when needed, clawed hands and feet, yellow eyes and two gazelle-like horns.

Here are my dice rolls: http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/player/WyzardWhately/

WerewolfofLondon

Name: Dragon

Original Name (if applicable _[clark kent for example]): Jessica Steele

Hero/Villain: Hero

Powers: Can create and manipulate fire. Incredibly tough skin (bullet-proof) Flight.

Weaknesses: Water (will burn her if splashed on her or if caught in the rain. If dunked in a tank of water, her tough skin will harden further and she will cease to move. Also can stop her using her fire powers.)

Physical Stats (height and look... that sort of thing): She stands at around 5ft 4ins, and has a slim build. Her skin is pale but blemish free. Dragon has two jagged scars running either side of her spine, these are where her large black leathery wings burst from when needed. Her eyes are yellow, has two black gazelle-like horns growing from her head, long dark green hair, has a long black reptilian tail and raptor-style claws on her hands and feet. She usually wears hot pants and a haulter-neck top and no shoes as it generally makes life easier.

Bio (a brief [paragraph or so] history):Dragon wasn't always this way. She was born into a normal family and had a normal childhood. It was only when she hit puberty that things started to change. It all started when her mother went rushing to the aid of her screaming daughter, to find her in her room crying as her hand was seemingly on fire.

Things got worse as she found that her young daughter seemed allergic to water and couldn't even go out in the rain. During a heated argument with her father, blood sprayed from the young girl's back and a pair of wings sprouted... at that point her parents no longer knew what to do and sent her to a hospital which specialised in mutants. Here she was kept under close watch and the docters were fascinated to witness her full mutation.

Once it was established that she was not a danger to the public, she was set free on probation but has to go back for check up's and tests to see if there was anything they could do to solve her water allergy and maybe make her into a a more valuable asset.

If you are interested please post your character into the main thread for characters of the game by clicking here: Characters

Could be yes... things got stagnant so I am checking on interests remaining. We seem to have some interest but maybe need an overall clearer direction...

So yes it's open and we would welcome you. Also though lets kick around some ideas for an overall direction. It should somehow pertain to the story as is maybe just give a focus.

I'll tell you that Paragon is in trouble or was when we left him. I like where that was going and I think his character can have a very dark future which could be interesting for everything... thoughts? I know the guy messing with Paragon could be a good big villain... secretive and powerful...  thoughts? You with the new male villain any ideas on how we could improve this story and continue it?

OOps I posted this in the wrong place... check here for more about the story and the actual thread we started: https://elliquiy.com/forums/index.php?topic=62564.msg2955852#new

We can talk more about it there. THANKS!!!!

If this thread is still going on, I'd like to join as a cannon marvel character. If not, I'll make an original villian.

TheGlyphstone

It's an original universe only, though you're free to make a Marvel-character expy if you want....Dramen's own Paragon is an expy of Superman, for example.

Shadowsteel

I would be interested in joining in. How many of each side are there, currently? I could go either way for alignment. I have a character concept, but tailoring it would depend on which side another player is more needed for.
Sworn to the Oath of Drake

Shadowsteel's theory on the transitive property of handcuffs - through association, especially by physical contact such as hug-piles - legitimate reason is given if you have reasonable reason to apply handcuffs to one particpant, you have reason (excuse) to apply handcuffs to all of them.

OOC's Beware! Because really, when is it not
an acceptable time for handcuffs?

I would like to add a bit of a ditto to nepoia's question: is there still room for another person or two? Such as myself? Personally, I'm thinking along the lines of a male, water-themed neutral, but I'll need to consider it more, pending a green or red light from here. If it's all good, I'll probably have a character all ready and raring to go quicklike.

Thanks Much,

What do you need more, heroes or villains? Sykopth has an idea that is very close to my own...drat! (but props :))

TheVillain

As I understand it, we have a few more heroes then villains and we have more male characters then female characters. So if you want in, the way that will increase your chances the best will be write a villain that either is female or, even better, turn around and sell this game to a couple female players and get them to join in as well.

But I'm not the GM so don't quite me. Just tossing in my two cents.
My O/O's / My A/A's / My Ideas
Update - Apologies to all my partners, real life is exploding and I've gotten far behind.

Dramen

We are still male to female heavy 6-4 (one hero went away and was replaced by a female villain). That also though means we are now villain heavy. So actually we need a female hero... or thevillain's magnificent suggestion of bringing two females into the game is great too. Do that and a male is cool.

Post in the OOC for more guidance and to see how the game is going.

Ramael

You could start the game and let other players (females if you need) join at a later date? this would add some interesting plot points...just I don't really have a spare two ladies to hand at the moment. However, if that is a necessary prerequisite then I will happily bow out for now.

Dramen

No, man I was just letting you know. We still need good characters and good writers. Feel free to drop by the characters and OOC threads and introduce a character. I'll let you know from there but we only have like ten people so we could use more.

WerewolfofLondon

As active player and current storyline leader I'm officially bumping this thread!

We currently need....heroes and heroines to join the Justicars in their vigilant watch of Bay City. The Shadow Guild is under new management and spreading its nefarious tendrils throughout the city, and the Justicars need new recruits to stem the tide of chaos!

That said if we get enough good-guy attention we could justify getting another villain/villainess in, too.

Please check here(background and setting) and here(char sheets) for more info.

THIS is the link to the sub forum itself.

Looking forward to seeing/fighting/scheming/flirting/other with you on the mean streets of Bay City...
