Hey guys, I'm a friend of Rev's that he told about the RP, and it seems pretty awesome since you guys are a small group re-rolling due to the classic Elliquy effect of people dropping out.

If there's still room for me, please let me know.

There is indeed :D

What makes you say that? :-)

EDIT: Also, we should probably save a spot for Latooni, since she showed interest.

They both sympathize with the poor man from first hand experience. xD I feel like Yuge would sort of be like... he used to be just like Leo, and still is at heart, but he's also more familiar with how things really are, and is more used to working outside the system when he needs to.
O/O: I was going to make a barebones F-list as a rough summary, but then it logged me out and I lost my progress, so I made a VERY barebones F-list instead: Here.

Alrighty woo-hoo!

I'm in the middle of a reply-spree right now, because League of Legends tends to vamp away my time when I get stuck on it, but I'll start rolling up a character once I'm caught up.
If you're reading my RPs from the outside and like my writing, feel free to drop me a line! I'm always looking for new, fun partners. :D

Makes sense. Leo might not agree with him trying to work around the system early on, but as he sees that Shinra just legitimately doesn't care about the slums, he'll probably change his mind...

Mark me down as interested. I have completed both FF7 and Crisis Core 100%. I also own FF7 AC on dvd. (Got it when it first came out.) So this concept interests me. I've RPed a few FF7 RPs and they usually end up crappy and full of drama because they use the characters from the game. I hope this doesn't turn out the same!

Oh no, almost 100% fullly original characters.

I MIGHT see about having some canon characters appearing for a scene or two, like a boss fight with Sephiroth or fighting alongside the Turks or something xD but its just as easy to make up an original SOLDIER or Turk to use, so who knows. Either way the focus will DEFINITELY be on the original characters, and all of the main characters will be original.

I love FF7 so consider me in, I'll get to work on a sheet and post it up tommorrow. Now to think about what kind of guy I want to be...

Rachubka

Haaa. Okay. I've checked this RP like, seven times, so I guess I am interested. I was leaning more towards the medic (since almost everything else is filling up).

I might make a character tonight or tomorrow. It's the weekend for Halloween parties! Yaaaaay! Might not go out though thanks to poop ankle and poopier rain. Also not a giant fan of using anime pictures for character profiles, but we'll see. :O

That sounds pretty awesome. I'm sold.

So I take this takes place before director Lazard goes AWOL?

I'll take position of Demolitions Expert if that is ok? Will work on profile now.

Demo expert is open! :D

And yes, this is before Lazard goes AWOL, its before the Mass Defection, the War with Wutai is still going strong.

Well, if you'd prefer a description is fine too xD;

I suppose written images are alright, I'm actually uploading a screenshot I took in Second Life of an avatar for Yuge xD;

I edited the limit breaks. Sorry for the math bits, I have a tendency to be statistically inclined.  8-)

Updated Yuge's sheet with a pic, basic limit breaks, and a themesong.

Also, I liked the limits for everyone, though for Joshua a trap does seem a bit too... pre-meditated for a limit break. They're typically last bursts of strength or something to that effect.

Name: Relena Shinma
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Rank: Staff Sergeant
Position: Demolitions Expert
Weapon:

Pistol - CZ75
SMG - Skorpion

She only uses these guns when she finds herself in a situation which would require her to defend herself. Both guns are light and barely have any recoil. Perfect for her style use and needs. But when not in use they sit hidden on her person.

---------

Grenades - She usually carries your basic flash bangs, smoke grenades and normal grenades that go boom, in a two belts that go around her hips and across her torso.
Other - Relena carries a variety of different explosive, such as C-4 with her in her trusty, military issue backpack. Which she has dubbed her "Backpack of fun times." She can make nail bombs and Molotov cocktails from seemingly nothing and has specialist training in the use of Rocket Launchers. However, she needs assistance to use it due to the recoil and weight.

Materia: (Leave this blank, as materia will be assigned to your character when the squad is formed up.)

Appearance:

Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

Backstory:

Relena was the result of what was originally a one night stand between a Icicle Inn, sassy barmaid and an unappreciated, ShinRA scientist. However, upon being informed of her birth, he took responsibility and had both mother and child bought to Midgar. Shortly there after they married took up residence in the wall market district, where her mother worked in a local fashion shop.

It was at the age of 8 when ShinRA were holding a "bring your child to work day" that Relena discovered her passion and almost got her farther fired. While being shown where daddy worked, she wandered off while he wasn't looking and went into what seemed like an empty lab. As children do, she got her hands on some chemicals and thought it would be fun to mix them. Although unharmed, the blast that was created, made enough of a loud bang and smoke to set off the fire alarms, and pull the ShinRA HQ building on full terrorist alert. Once the smoke cleared they found her, with some of her clothes chard and her giggling about how fun it was to make things go "boom."

Since that moment she has always had a fascination for making things go bang and the hows and whys they went bang. She has also enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together. Although, things got a little interesting once she began learning chemistry and physics at 12. Once she had enough knowledge she would pull pranks, to the point where she got punished at school and annoyed her parents, and her friends parents relentlessly.

When it was almost time for her to finish school ShinRA came in for a career day and showed the different professions they offered. They had anything from breath taking scientific teams to army combat. The idea of blowing shit up for a living, to her it meant she got to what she loved doing best. Only on a bigger and more damaging scale than the pranks she pulled.  It also meant she wouldn't get punished for making things go boom any more.

So once she finished school, much to the protest of her parents, she enlisted in ShinRA's army. Although, she was quite disappointed they they were taught armed combat before explosives. Relena quickly proved her use in the area, when she and fellow new recruits were ambushed during a field drill by anti-ShinRA rebels. She managed to think on her feet and made a molotov cocktail out of some medical supplies, that proved crucial to their victory. Since then she has come leaps and bounds in the world of explosives and has become both respected by all that know or have worked with her.

Theme:
Limit Breaks:

1.1: Hazy Days - Throws a grenade that blinds and mutes enemies.
1.2: Toxicity - Throws a grenade that poisons, confuses and puts enemies to sleep.

2.1: Boom - A small bomb is planted that will inflict 1/4 of the enemies health in damage.
2.2: Kaboom - A bomb is planted that will inflict 1/2 of the enemies health in damage.

3.1: Tick Tack - Triggers a timed bomb that will down from 10, then upon explosion it releases a gas that reduces magical abilities over time, for a period of time.
3.2: Final Count down - Triggers a timed bomb that will count down from 3, then upon explosion does 1/2 damage on a group of enemies and leaves all them blinded.

4.1: Fallout - Triggers a remote bomb that will kill enemies with status effects or who's health is below half. Above half it cuts health in half, leaves them with poison or confused and makes all healing effects reversed.

This just basics. Hope it is ok so far. ^^

No sure what rank she would be though. :(

Florence

A bazooka seems somewhat more of a heavy weapons thing, I imagine a demo expert would focus more on things like c4, blasting charges, grenades certainly, but they'd focus more on the delicate explosives that would require a lot of specialized training. I'd imagine your average soldier could pick up and fire a rocket launcher. I likewise imagine the heavy weapons expert to be the one who focuses on handling the heavy weight and recoil of large weapons and on knowing the ins and outs of the weapon.

I don't see a problem with her using a rocket launcher, but I'd like to make sure we're on the same page, and I expect the rocket launcher to weigh her down more than it would a heavy weapons specialist.
Other than that, I like the character. I can't really say what her rank would be without knowing her backstory, as it really depends on how long she's been serving, what her record is like, etc.

I have been working with someone for the hacker position, so only heavy weapons is fully open right now, I think. I'll double check to be sure.

here she is! Pre-approved by Finn and everything! :D

Name: Rachael Aulin
Age: 19
Gender: Female

Rank: PFC
Position: Infiltration specialist (stealth + hacker)

Weapon: Rachel's halberd- an extending purple polearm that Rachael keeps mounted on her back until times of need. The handle actually collapses into itself, making it surprisingly easy to transport despite being an awkward weapon for most in Rachael's profession to carry around. She likes it since it prevents her from falling into the stereotypical pitfalls of daggers and blow-darts that her fellow thieves seem to rely on. Besides, it helps having a legitimate weapon on hand just in case things happen to get out of hand, though she's still far from a proper fighter. Her motorcycle, which she typically only uses for transportation, also seems to have a few hidden surprises as well.
Materia:

Appearance:
Backstory: Rachael has always lived by the belief that if she is able to take something, it deserves to be hers. Even when she was young she was often pillaging small trinkets from local stores or small food vendors of their wares. While part of it did come from greed, it was more just the fact that she wanted to test just how much people cared about their belongings. If she was able to take them, then obviously they didn't value their belongings very well, and Rachael was more then happy to relieve people of such dead weight. Rachael grew up to be a bit of an anarchist, believing that 'the system' was corrupt and that all of the rich and powerful were inherently evil.

As she got older and learned right from wrong she realized that while stealing from certain people who were less fortunate then her was most certainly wrong, stealing from the RIGHT people wasn't only a fantastic way to send a message to the world, but also a hell of a way to make a living. By the time she was 17 she became renowned among black market vendors for always bringing in unexpectedly high quality goods, and she was dreaded among some of the wealthier families and establishments, as those seemed to be her prime targets. While she had a more grounded view on the world then she did when she was a kid, she still knew that there were wealthy people who did terrible things to earn their power, and she wanted to make them bleed from the place that they held most precious, their wallets.

This would continue for another two years without incident until a particularly high profile heist went horribly wrong due to the fact that Rachael was set up by a contact of hers. After a harrowing two day chase from the authorities, she was arrested and brought in to justice. Much to her surprise though, instead of being thrown into jail and fined for all the financial disarray she caused among some of the wealthiest families in Midgar, she was told that she had the option of serving in a secret sector, using her 'special skills' for the sake of Shinra and working off her rather hefty debt that she had worked up over the years. Naturally, since Rachael figured that she'd look terrible in a prison outfit, she accepted. Surprisingly, they even allowed her to keep her equipment, since her tools worked out rather well for her in the past.

Limit Breaks
1.1: Playful Trickster: Rachael stabs her polearm into the ground and positions herself on top of it briefly, disorienting her enemy before she descends in a different location and releases a powerful shockwave upon landing.
1.2: Overload: Rachel sends a shock of electric force nearby, causing firearm based weapons to misfire for 1 second. In rare luck based cases, said firearms could potentially explode as well.

2.1: Tidechanger: Rachael jukes the next incoming physical attack and retaliates by blindsiding her opponent and attacking fiercely from the back, often for critical damage.
2.2: Shock blast: Rachael erects a shield against the next magic or laser based attack, absorbing the shot, amplifying it, and returning it to it's attacker.

3.1: Shadow burst: Against organic enemies, Rachael's emergency stealth systems will engage, cloaking her for 3 seconds and revealing the enemy's weak points during the duration.
3.2: System burst: Against robotic enemies, Rachael will send forth a powerful burst of electronic energy, overloading them and shutting down various systems for 5 seconds.

4.1: ???

Name: Landon Bracket
Age: 23
Gender: Male

Rank: PFC
Position: Heavy Arms guy

Weapon: (In close combat) A automated heavy rifle which fires armor piercing ammunition as default ammunition. It has grenade launcher under the rifle for variable explosive or special heavy ammunition meant fired from bigger weapons. In more distant combat he uses cannons and mobile heavy arttilery eguipment. Besides this he has special eguipment to deal with heavily armored targets or targets in cover. He wears heavily plated armor which helps him shrug most medium and small firearm bullets and make him ideal to stand in fray in fire combat and move swiftly in his gear.
Materia: (Leave this blank, as materia will be assigned to your character when the squad is formed up.)

Appearance (on duty): Landon Bracket is intimidating figure on duty. He stands six foot tall in heavily armored combat suit where his helms eye sockets glow faintly red from infrared vision which allows him track his targets from darkness with heat vision and makes easier time aim targets through thick steel walls as he can detect heat signs of them and using armor piercing bullets. However in offduty he is laid back slim muscled athlete who has surprising amount of muscle power in his arms and legs and back to carry all heavy eguipment around. He is quiet spoke and does not speak much about himself and is dedicated for his work. Kind quiet serious person.
Backstory: Landon Bracket is from Costa del Sol, the much famed coastal resort town. He was born to parents who ran hotel and restaurant combined complex in there. He had sister in youth called Jaemille, they were close as siblings could be yet being different. Landon was default shy quiet boy where Jaemille was ongoing energetic personality. However while swimming she got suddenly pulled under the waves by something....Landon tried pull her free whatever it was and he saw only glimpse of the shape of the creature and it was not octopus....but somekind sea monster?!

However her death cries and tragedy of loosing his sister made him further quiet and disconnected from everyone, including few friends what he had. Years later he saw some Shinra soldiers fight off a angry pack of beasts near Costa del Sol and it sparked him idea join the Shinra military. In there he studied all forms of firearms, but most exclusively the big guns as he desired to shoot down big nasty monster and beasts of wilderness with efficient enough force blast them off the map and leave no trace of their presence. Then for his expertise in heavy weapons he was assigned to the new special unit.

Limit Breaks
1.1: Wild Burst - Fires a wild burst salvo on group of enemies, injuring them. Has higher miss chance than regular shots.
1.2: Battle Adreanline - Recovers some amount from injuries and start act swifter for a time (cure+haste casted on himself).

2.1: Unyielding Stance - Become filled with grim determination to stand on ground and return all offense in kind. Enter berserk state and counters every attack hitting on him with counter shot. Unable do other actions than attacks but the attacks do more damage than normally during the stance and come off more quickly.
2.2: Napalm Bomb - Fires a special armor piercing incinderary rocket ammo on single target. Causes heavy damage and sets target on fire for time which burns off the target.

3.1: Tear Gas - Causes group of enemies variable condittions; blindness, confuse and poison.
3.2: Inferno Blast - Fires off materia empowered warhead missile which causes massive damage on group of enemies and ignores armor because blast is part magical (materia) and also because of high heat of the blast (chemical).

4.1: Bombardment - Fires off explosive rocket for leaping burst to leap high into air. Then he rapid fires with bazooka with explosive warheads which cause heavy fire, cold, electricity, poison, gravity and one untyped damage blasts on single target or spread ammunition shots around to group of enemies (max 6 = 1 shot each).

Inari

I don't think heavy weapons guy would have any explosives considering my character is covering that. >.>

Florence

Grenades are fine, as they're simple to use. Pretty much anyone on the squad is qualified to use grenades. As for grenade launchers and rocket launchers, yes, they make things go boom, but the skills required for them fall more under the category of heavy weapons, since you basically just need to carry them and pull the trigger, and handling large weapons like that is the heavy weapons job description.

Explosives has more to do with complicated explosives, like bombs, plastic explosives, breach charges, mines, and the like.

Though two of your limit breaks, Zaer, do concern me. Unyielding Stance says that he can use limit breaks... that would be limit breaking within a limit break, and it seems like a bit much. Also, his final limit break would be a bit wonky to work out. At certain points in the story, they may not have any support to make it usable. If you want to use that limit break its fine, just... be aware that by the time it gets far enough in the story for him to unlock that limit break, he may not be able to use it.

Ok, edited bit my limit breaks. Overall idea is that he is heavy armored guy with big powerful automated rifle and meant as front line man. But if given task he can handle bigger heavy weapons like arttilery cannons, mobile weapon platforms (like tanks and use their cannons) and so on. Limit breaks are surrounded on idea he is front line and with his heavy armor and some limit breaks he works as kind of 'tank' who soaks some weaker counter fire from enemies. Also if enemy is under heavy cover he uses grenade launcher use tear gas or make smoke screens for cover and overall give cover fire support to let other team members approach target.
