I'm in the process of trying to come up with a new character.  My mind is just a little numb from work and life.  Any ideas on what I should play?  I like alot of variety in my characters.

Well the scenario can be in any time, including the future and any sort of character or situation.
Pehraps a better way to work round it would be to choose a sin, or a player you would like to paly with and see what you can come up with together?

If your so indecisive about whether to play say fantasy or sci-fi settings then theres an easy way to figure that out. Do both  ;D

I am contemplating restarting this game with fresh players.

Some of the 'oldies' here will hopefully remember it, we had quite a lot of fun.

For those who don't want to mow through 8 pages of waffle, (lets face it, between the squirty cream fights and the micky taking, there really was only about two pages worth of game discussion), I have placed the basic game premiss and rules below...

A game based on the seven deadly sins:
Pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, sloth.

Explore each of these 'sins',
Daemon's tempting and seducing mere mortals into committing that particular sin.
The temptation doesn't have to be of a sexual nature, though given the nature of this forum it most likely will be.

For discussions sake the Daemon's are based on the 'traditional' fallen angels, but those who choose to play Daemons may take their influences from whatever source they wish.

Lucifer: Pride
Mammon: Greed
Asmodeus: Lust
Leviathan: Envy
Beelzebub: Gluttony
Satan: Wrath
Belphegor: Sloth

Of course, every sin has it's virtue to counter balance it.

Pride ...... Humility
Greed ..... Generosity
Envy ...... Love
Wrath..... Kindness
Lust ...... Self control
Gluttony......Temperance
Sloth ......  Zeal


I intend to throw the odd spanner in the works by popping into the game as either an imp to further torture the poor victim or the spirit of the relavent virtue, to harrass the daemon.

How it works

It is invisaged that there will be players as Daemons and players as the tempted.

Once the game is started, I will fill in any vacant spaces as an npc.
Unfilled Daemon spaces will be left unless there is a player who wants to be tempted.

Rules

The main rule is that there are none.
(Other than the site rules and personal rules as agreed between players)

This is very freeform and the more twists and tangles the better.

Have fun, suprise and confound each other, make each other work at trying to accomplish their goals.

Daemons can have as many powers as they like, as long as it is consistant and in the spirit of the game, but will have to be stated in their profile from the start.

The only thing that I insist on is NO GODMODING   I cannot and will not allow any player to tell another player what they have done or how they have reacted. Leave the actions open, let them react, much more fun for all concerned.
