Temptation is new on the job as he is replacing his predecessor who has retired.  One piece of advice the outgoing temptation said to him was that people are motivated to do things mainly by sex, money, hatred, and love.  Even simpler than this, he went on to say, was that people mainly do things to get something they want, to keep something they already have, or to give those very things to those they love and of course to take them away from those they hate or keep those they hate from getting things that fit into that category.

He was nervous about starting his job as he knew letting down the guy with the pitchfork usually meant you received the pitchfork in a place you really didn't want it.  To gather some motivation and some ideas Temptation goes to a bar one evening to listen to what people had to say as they either celebrated their successes or tried to drown out the memory of their failures.

He begins speaking to a young lady who was sitting by herself wearing a lovely smile.  He assumed she was on the hunt for a mate so he asked if he could join her for a drink and she agrees.

After talking to her he becomes amazed at the tragedies she has endured and how even after all of this she seemed to show no trace of bitterness or anger.  Before long he found himself hanging onto her every word and he was finding himself becoming very attracted to her.  She was funny, and by no means was she a prude or overly preachy.  In passing she mentioned some of her experiences and she had done some very wild things in her past.  Some were things she said were mistakes, not because of the consequences but because she said they resulted in harming other people although that was not her intent.  She had no regrets as she knew she would make even more mistakes in the future but she new she was smart enough to learn from the past and was content in the knowledge that each day she would handle things better than the day before.

On his first day at work Satan gives him his first assignment.  The woman he was to tempt was the very woman he met at the bar.  He was first told to get to know her and when he felt he knew enough about her he was to report back with what he thought the most evil thing he could tempt her into doing and from there he would be given his ultimate assignment in regards to this young woman.

A discussion about the specifics would be needed for this to work.
