Marvel VS DC [RPG]

Ten years ago to new Teams Fought the Justice League and the Avengers. Since then a rivalry between the two of them occured. The world was changed with the arrivals of Aliens, Gods, Mutants, Inhumans, Metahumans, Atlantians, Amazons all taking their place in the world. Other superhero teams such as the Fantastic Four, The Justice Society, The -Xmen and the Titans all formed but soon disbanded after conflicts within the Superhero community kept occuring, heads continued to keep on butting. However some believe that maybe just maybe just maybe this wasnt supposed to be the case. That the World wasnt supposed to be the way that it was, that infact the world had been altered and changed, that two universes had merged together that had no business been together. A small band of Heroes will now work together to uncover the truth.

Infermation:

1. This game will be focussing on Action primarily taking place in New York City.

2. The game is set in its own continuity with its own timeline in place but based loosely off the 616 marvel verse.

3. "Homebreweds" characters are allowed.

4. Characters like Jean Grey, ARE all allowed but not poessing godlike powers i.e the Phoenix force, no "Mary Sues".  Remember even Superman has Kryptoniate.

5. Characters ages and backstory's willy varies but no character under the age of 16.

6. Created characters need to fit realistically into the marvel canon. IE be a mutant or an inhuman, give reason for their powers.

7. Just because a canon character was in a relationship in the comics doesn't mean your PC was.  It's up to the individual players.

8. This is not a sex focused game but rather a story focussed game. However it still will feature scenes when they occur.

9.  GM ran plots and allow for character/player developed plots as well, who are encouraged to make suggested plotlines.

10. The game is "sandbox" in style.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is a freeform game, so fight scenes shall be discussed and planned with GM approval. I.E the outcome of a fight as we are not using a Dice system to determine such factors within the story. In many superhero fights luck and chance are factors to the eventual outcome and that will be taken into consideration here.
Former villain's may have been *Reformed* and are now heroes, but you need to explain that in their bios. It needs to be a credible reason.
Each player may start off and submit Bios for TWO characters to start off with. But if you claim more then one character you must be willing to write double the amount expected of a player with one character.
Your GM for this game will be VoluptiousVixen (main GM).
None Playable Characters.
Captain America/Steve Rogers
Supergirl/Kara Zor El
Ant Man/Scott Lang
Red Robin/Tim Drake
Quicksilver/Pietro Maximoff
Catwoman/Selina Kyle
#1
Player Name: VoluptiousVixen
Real Name: Diana Prince
Age: Looks 30 (Is actually 250) Amazon years
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual (Switch)
Base of Operations: N/A (formerly New York City)
Powers: Flight, Super Strength & Speed.
Weaknesses: Magic and pysch attacks. Diana is physically the strongest woman on the planet. She can withstand much however The Gods ALLWAYS design a flaw and she can be killed by those who created her. Sometimes her Amazonian pride can be a great weakness to her.
History:
Born to Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons, Diana lived a serene and joyful life until the intervention of Steve Trevor upon the island of Themyscira. A tournament was held among the Amazons to determine the representative that would return to Man's World along with Trevor. Diana defeated the other Amazons but was tasked with the final challenge, deflecting a bullet fired from a gun by her mother. After winning the contest Diana was awarded a suit of armor and the Lasso of Truth and left for the United States, though upon her arrival she was arrested and detained in a cell. Falling into despair, Diana was visited by the Gods of Olympus in their animal forms: a peacock, deer, owl, mouse, eagle, dove and tortoise, who granted her the gifts of strength, speed, endurance, empathy and flight.
Shortly after coming to the outside world, Diana interrupted a terrorist attack and was named "Wonder Woman" by the press. She continued to use her gifts to fight for peace and justice in Man's World. She later fought who she thought to be Ares, though in truth it was Phobos and Deimos who were disguised as their father. Fearing that she would eventually discover the truth and free Ares from his prison beneath Themyscira, the Gods of Olympus sent Phobos and Deimos to erase all memory of Themyscira from Diana's mind. The twin gods were unable to erase the memory, so instead they later implanted false memories regarding her home to deceive Diana, leading to a completely separate origin story and causing her to hallucinate new adventures. Diana was unaware that her memories had been tampered with, and believed the falsifications until her search for the truth led her to Ares himself years later. In her false memories, the Amazons traditionally procreated by raping and then murdering sailors who happened too close to their island. Hippolyta was barren, and legend told that Diana was born of her mother's strong desire for a child, a lump of clay brought to life in the form of a girl; the perfect Amazon, as she was born of no man. The truth, though, was that Hippolyta had had an affair with Zeus, and Diana's real parentage was hidden in order to protect the Queen and her daughter from the wrath of Zeus' notoriously jealous wife Hera. Unbeknownst to Diana, her mother also gave birth to her twin, a brother named Jason.
Justice League
Upon becoming a super-heroine, Wonder Woman became a member of the Justice League in 2018. Her ambassadorial duties required her to visit Washington D.C., with army officer Steve Trevor as her liaison. When Parademons stormed Metropolis, Wonder Woman resolved to defend the city, meeting the heroes Superman, Batman, Flash, and Aquaman. They also met the young hero Cyborg, who attempted to warn them against the evil alien conqueror Darkseid. Unfortunately, Cyborg's warnings were meaningless, as Darkseid had already arrived. Although Darkseid had initially beat them without effort, Superman rallied them in order to confront Darkseid as a team. Wonder Woman proved crucial in Darkseid's defeat, stabbing him in one of his eyes to prevent him from using his Omega Beams. This gave Superman and Cyborg enough time to throw Darkseid back into his home-world.
The First Justice League had been rivals of another team the Avengers.  However such members as The Green Lantern, Black Canary and Martain Manhunter had retired. Other heroes have come and gone as part of the Leauges ranks. However Diana is for now a mainstay
#2
Hero Name: Scarlet Witch
Legal Name: Wanda Maximoff
Origin of Powers: Inhuman
Age: 30
Sexuality: Hetrosexual
Description (Appearance): Standing at 5'5" and weighing only one hundred and ten pounds, Wanda Maximoff appears as your typical fair-skinned young woman.  Generally, Wanda dresses in dark and red clothing and adds just enough cosmetic around the eye to contrast her eyes.  She wears more gothic and punk type clothes as well as things to represent her gypsy heritage.
Powers:
Probability – Scarlet Witch’s domain. The extent of her powers, to this day, is still being recorded, but so far: she is able to fire spheres of hex magic (these have varying effects on their target that range from comical to devastating) that are dependent  on her line of sight and vary in strength (depending on her mental state and physical condition). The House of M Incident demonstrated at Scarlet Witch’s powers can become a global phenomenon, capable of disabling the Mutant X-Gene, bring the dead back to life, manifesting as red beams of light, and completely transforming people and matter. This power has been diminished after she banished the Phoenix force with the help of Hope Summers.
Telekinesis – Scarlet Witch can levitate objects and manipulate them. She is also able to make telekinetic forcefields. The extent of her telekinesis is unknown, but she relies mainly on her probability-altering abilities.
Illusions and Constructions – Scarlet Witch is able to warp reality enough to create illusions. This is different from her ability to craft constructions, however, which are physical images capable of anything – she has been known to conjure entire armies to assist her.
Special Skills and Other:
Wanda can play the piano and is a mistress of the art of chess. Wanda can speak English and Latvian fluently.
== Disadvantages ==
Being a Witch and being a what she thought was a Mutant are nothing when compared to being the mother of children who turned out to be the shards of Mephisto. Wanda’s greatest weakness is her mental state – she is capable of losing it with the best of them. Even after her *farther* magneto was revealed not to be her farther she still feels a connection to him.
Equipment:  Wanda uses the Book of the Darkhold. Even though she shouldn`t be using it.
History:
Wanda Maximoff and her twin brother, Pietro, were born to a nomadic Romani witch named Natalya near Novi Pazar, in Serbia. Afraid of harming her children due to her perilous lifestyle, Natalya Maximoff placed the babies under the care of her brother, the ventriloquist Django, and his wife, the gentle Marya. When the High Evolutionary and his Knights ravaged the region where the Maximoffs lived in search of babies for his experiments, the twins were kidnapped by a catholic priest and brought to the Evolutionary's citadel on the Wundagore Mountain, in Transia. The High Evolutionary made alterations to the twins' genomes, disguising them as regular mutants. The babies were nursed by one of the Evolutionary's servants, the humanoid cow and midwife Bova. While under the Evolutionary's care, the newborn Wanda Maximoff was imbued with the mystic energies of the Wundagore Mountain, which was in fact a prison for the demon-lord of chaos known as Chthon. From that moment on, she acquired a natural latent talent for the practice of magic. Bova and the Evolutionary attempted to have the twins to be adopted by World War II heroes Whizzer and Miss America. However, the former fled in desperation while the latter perished after a miscarriage. Instead, a disappointed Evolutionary returned the babies to Django and Marya Maximoff.
Wanda and Pietro lived a happy childhood, constantly travelling alongside their foster parents' tribe in Central and Eastern Europe. Wanda's potential for magic eventually attracted the attention of a powerful coven formed by Margali Szardos, Maria Russoff, and Lilia Calderu. Calderu approached Marya Maximoff and had her bring Wanda to Castle Russoff. They hoped to recruit Wanda into their coven as an apprentice, being able to predict her future as a relevant magic wielder. However, servants of Chthon, Taboo and Damballah, interfered with Wanda's initiation. The battle only ended once Wanda was able to manifest her hex powers for the first time, accidentally allowing Chthon to reach out to her soul and make it known that Wanda was not allowed to join any coven. The witches then returned Wanda to her family.
Under their family's protection, Wanda explored her mystic potential freely while Pietro manifested an unusual superspeed power. Afflicted by poverty and the lack of opportunities to provide for his family, Django began to steal food for his starving family and enraged villagers attacked their caravan. Using his phenomenal speed, Pietro fled from the camp with his sister. The circumstances of their separation from their clan were so traumatic that not until well into adulthood could they remember anything but the barest details of their childhood. For the next few years, Wanda and Pietro wandered central Europe, living off the land.
Wanda accidentally set fire to an unnamed village with her powers and was attacked by villagers. One of them proclaimed her to be "a Scarlet Witch," which would later become her codename. Magneto arrived at the scene, and rescued Wanda from the villagers. Due to this rescue, Wanda felt indebted to Magneto. She was willing to serve him until her debt was repaid.[49]
Wanda and Pietro were later recruited into Magneto's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and, as the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, fought the X-Men on several occasions.[50][51] Throughout her tenure, Wanda fended off romantic advances from fellow member Mastermind. She proclaimed that she would rather die, than become his wife.[49]
In their initial battle with the X-Men in Santo Marco, the Scarlet Witch knocked out Angel, who had incapacitated her brother, in retaliation and brought the captured X-Man to Magneto. But the X-Men forced them to abandon their prisoner and even the entire country.[49] At their next scheme, Scarlet Witch disagreed with Magneto's plan to kill the X-Men. During his attempt to kill every X-Man except the captive Angel, Scarlet Witch used one of her hexes to short-circuit Magneto's control panel. She injured one of Magneto's hands in the process. Before Magneto could "teach her a lesson," Wanda hid behind her protective brother Quicksilver. Subsequently, Wanda was nearly injured by debris created by one of Cyclops' blasts.[52]
At their next conflict with the X-Men, Quicksilver was easily captured by Marvel Girl. Wanda was worried about her brother's safety, and asked Magneto to save him. She instead learned that Magneto was about to fire a deadly weapon against the entire group of X-Men, willing to sacrifice Quicksilver's life to gain victory. Wanda tried to stop him, but Magneto threatened to kill her for defying his decisions. Namor intervened on Wanda's behalf and destroyed the equipment before it could be used.
When Magneto, Mastermind, and Toad fled from X-Men's attacks, Wanda chose to stay behind. All by herself, she demanded that the X-Men release her brother immediately, but she was in no position to impose demands. Namor, however, came to her aid and started to fight the X-Men. He easily defeated the Beast and the Angel but was immobilized by Cyclops' blasts. Before their fight could escalate further, Professor X intervened, revealing to Wanda that he had placed Quicksilver under mind-control. He was willing to release him to Wanda's custody, as he didn't consider the twins anything more than Magneto's pawns.
To have her brother returned to her, Wanda convinced an angry Namor to back down. Upon leaving the scene, Namor remarked upon his attraction to the Scarlet Witch. But her beauty reminded him of Susan Storm, and he feared that this potential relationship would be similarly doomed, and he would end up being rejected, so he departed.
They soon abandoned their terrorist activities, while Magneto was imprisoned by the Stranger, and joined the Avengers. The remaining founding members had all gone on a leave of absence, leaving Iron Man to lead an all-new lineup including Wanda, Pietro, and the archer known as Hawkeye. By then, the Scarlet Witch would have rather become an actress, but she never had a chance to pursue such a career. They left the Avengers after the Scarlet Witch lost her powers and Quicksilver was shortly influenced by Magneto again. When Quicksilver fought the Flash he was lost in the Speedforce. Wanda blames the hero the Flash for her brothers *death*.
Relationships:Magneto/Erik Lenshire (Farther/Enemy), Quicksilver/Pitero Maximoff (Brother Deceased), Polaris/Lorna Dane (Half sister),  Batman/Bruce Wayne (Enemy), Zatanna (Rival), John Conestine (Ally), Flash/Barry Allen (Enemy), Cyclops and the X-men (Former Enemies now friends).
Iron-Man/Tony Stark (Friend), Hawkeye/Clint Barton (Friend), Wasp/Jan Van Dyme (Freind), Hulk/Bruce Banner (Friend), Thor Odinson (Friend).
History
Thor is the blood-son of Odin, All-Father of the Asgardians, and Jord, who was also known as Gaea, the earth-goddess who was one of the Elder Gods. Odin claimed that he sought to father a son whose power would derive from both Asgard and Midgard (as the Earth realm is called by Asgardians), and hence he sought to mate with Jord. Odin created a cave in Norway where Jord gave birth to Thor. Months after the infant Thor was weaned, Odin brought him to Asgard to be raised. Odin's wife, the goddess Frigga, acted as Thor's mother from that time onward, and for many years Thor believed her to be his birthmother. Not until many centuries later did Thor learn the purported truth that Jord was his birth mother, though the Phoenix has asserted that Odin had lied about Thor's parentage and that it was his birth mother through Firehair, an ancient human mutant and avatar of the Phoenix Force, claiming that Gaea was a lie to ensure that Thor would dedicate himself to protecting the Earth. In truth, Gaea was Thor's birth mother, with the Phoenix acting as her midwife, but when the newborn Thor was assassinated by King Laufey the Phoenix resurrected him, leaving him permanently imbued with some of her power.
I wasn't going to, but...
Johnny Ohm
Hero Name: Johnny Ohm
Legal Name: Jonathon Olstrum
Origin of Powers: HYDRA Genetic Experiments (He Doesn't Know.)
Age: Mid-20's
Sexuality: Hetero
Description (Appearance): The 6'2" Johnathon Olstrum has a powerful build, black hair, and blue eyes. A southern boy at heart, his most dramatic defining feature used to be a series of tattoos up his arms and across his back that together read "Fear No Danger / Shun No Labor / Lift Up Rifle, Pike, and Sabre". Since then however he's had most of the tattoos altered and also acquired a large quantity of scars from electrical burns. Dresses and is thoroughly into the "Rock-A-Billy" culture with a healthy mixing in of Biker culture as well. Keeps fit and lifts weights, a habit he got into in prison.
Powers: Johnny Olstrum is now known in the media as Johnny Ohm, a bigoted and murderous supervillain with terrifying electricity powers. Truth is, in his own words, he's actually a pretty open guy and "I ain't ever killed nobody that wasn't tryin' to kill me first", but the electricity powers are very real.
Electrical Resistance - For reasons as of yet unknown, Johnathon Olstrum's body was unusually resistant to electricity even before he officially got his powers. Too the point that he survived three rounds in the Electric Chair.
Electrical Absorption - Johnny Ohm naturally detects and absorbs electricity in the environment around him, even static in the air. He doesn't even seem to need to be conscious to use this ability and with a bit of concentration he can use this offensively to depower machines and vehicles, for example.
Electrokinesis - Johnny Ohm is a full-fledged Electrokinetic. Johnny Ohm doesn't seem to generate his own electricity, but he can absorb, store, and release large amounts of electricity for a varity of effects including electrical energy blasts, electricution of opponents, ionization of materials around him, electromagnetic propulsion, and some basic manipulation of nearby electromagnetic fields.
Special Skills and Other: Johnny Ohm is a middle-to-decent hand-to-hand melee combatant from the school of bar brawling. He's also a talented mechanic, specializing in motorcycles. He also knows a thing or two about criminal networks.
Equipment: A motorcycle named Charlene.
History: Johnny Olstrum came of age in South Carolina with a family that for most of his formative years was so poor that they couldn't even afford electricity. Johnny had an instant distrust for others, especially Authority. A true rebel, he could barely contain his rage and was constantly on the lookout for trouble. He spent his life running afoul of the law, and on paper he crossed the line from petty criminal to murderer when he was 24 when he supposedly beat two gay men to death with his bare hands in a bar brawl during Mardi Gras in New Orleans.
Except that's not true. He *was* at one point a real bigoted piece of shit of a human, but he's been working on turning his life around. The truth is that while he was in the bar at the time and extremely intoxicated he actually tried to stop the murders that were actually committed by bigoted and corrupt police officers. Framed for the murders, he was convicted and the crime was seen as so brutal that they actually brought back the Electric Chair - all the while he professed his innocence but it just made him seem like he felt no remorse. A few weeks ago they flipped the switch on Johnathon Olstrum, but it looked like something went wrong and Johnny survived. So they tried again, twice. After his third round in the chair the prison blew a transformer which Johnny seems to have used to escape.
At least, that's what he thinks happened. The truth is, Johnny doesn't remember what happened in that prison after the third time they tried to fry him. He just knows that a few days later he woke up in a cheap motel room outside the prison in fresh clothes and the wiring in the room was calling to him. Surviving three rounds in the Electric Chair, then waking up with Electricity Powers? Can't be a coincidence, and Johnny is going to find out what's going on - and clear his good name while he's at it. Fear No Danger, Shun No Labor, Lift Up Rifle, Pike and Sabre.
Green Lantern Govets
Hero Name: Green Lantern Trainee Govets
Legal Name: Govets Von Tor-Waeca, Wotan-Ka-Na [Translation: Govets of the Warship Waeca - Fist of the Wotan Armada]
Origin of Powers: The Wotan do practice cybernetic enhancement as part of their culture, but Govets's main abilities come from being the possessor of a Green Lantern Power Ring.
Age: Adult
Sexuality: Hetero
Description (Appearance): Wotan rarely appear anywhere in public without their trademark encountersuits, full protective gear with lots of purples and greys. Most of these have been replaced with Green in Govets' case. Under the helmet though he actually is surprisingly humanoid, basically the main distinguishing features to a human are purple skin, pointed eyebrows, and some obvious cybernetics.
Powers: Wotan modify their bodies to survive in extreme environments, including the vacuum of space for a fair amount of time. What sets Govets apart from other Wotan is that he's actually the first Wotan to earn a Green Lantern Power Ring which grants him all the abilities that implies.
Special Skills and Other: Govets is considered a talented engineer even by Wotan standards.
Equipment: Green Lantern Power Ring
History:
When dismissed Govets didn't say anything at first, just gave little nods as he pondered how he's spend his hour. It was all so much to take in. Assigned to finish his training with Earth, It didn't make sense to him, honestly. Humans were known to produce some great Lanterns but why send him there? Granted, it's not like he had a Sector, the Wotan homeworld was destroyed Millenia ago. It's only by resorting to Space Piracy that they managed to survive at all.
Lantern Govets picked himself up off the ground and went up, up, up into the Black Seas around Oa for some perspective, quickly slipping the bonds of Oa's gravity and getting out.
Of course it's a surprise when the Ring actually caps off his speed even when he gets out into space, but that doesn't matter really. Just something he files away for later. Flying through the Black Seas without a Ship just felt wrong. Not bad necessarily, but with a ship the relationship between Voyager and Voyage was different. It was something in it's own right, at the very least a symbol of teamwork and a whole crew working together to survive. Together.
Apologies, Lantern Govets but Communications with Listed Hostile Races is regulated. You may continue but your communication may be reviewed by the Alpha Lanterns at their convenience. Would you still like to continue?
"Yes. Continue. I have nothing to hide."
"Captain, we're being hailed over long range communications. Energy signature says it's a Green Lantern."
Captain Ranna of the Waeca normally would have them to tell them to dive into a Black Hole but today was different. Instead she rises from the Captain's seat and taps a key on her suit. Only one other suit gets a corresponding light in their display, and under the helmet she smiles. But of course, she can't show that. Not with the Green Plague.
"Are they in range of the ion cannons?"
"Negative, ma'am. Signal is coming from Oa itself, or very close by. We're about as close as we can get without setting off their sensors, we think."
"Pity. If it's Green Lantern Govets I'll take it in my ready room, if it's anyone else give them the co-ordinates of the nearest Black Hole then cut the channel."
"Aye, Ma'am."
Her name was Ranna, Captain of the Wotan Warship the Waeca. A Wotan ship was never particularly large, but they always seemed to carry more firepower and umph in their engines then the size of their ship seemed to say they should have. There was a reason for this, mostly in that a Wotan ship rarely flew alone, it was supposed to be an Armada after all. There were however two exceptions to this design philosophy, a Mothership which protected and raised the children - and the Warships.
And right now Captain Ranna was taking a signal from a member of a known enemy of the Armada, with only Engineer-Priest Vaes by her side. Of course he would be. They were getting a call from their son.
"Green Lantern Govets, state your business."
"Easy, Ranna. You've done the traditional posturing."
"I just called to say this morning I got my first assignment that finishes my training. I won't be assigned to a Sector, I'll just be going where I'm needed."
Vaes has the stronger emotional outburst, wrapping an arm around his mate and pulling her close out of pride. Ranna just gave a low chuckle, almost missed on the communicators. She is however the first to speak.
"I said the day you left, you had the makings of a fine Captain. The Armada is missing out."
"Nonsense. He's a rivet-monk through and through. But she does have a point, apparently there were family members of the Vesper Council on that ship, We've negotiated a cease-fire."
"That's great to hear."
"It is, what you did was wonderful. But I should warn you, it probably won't last. Too many supplies are low, and too many of the other Captains hold onto grudges."
"The War with the Vesper started over a miscommunication 50 cycles ago and everyone knows it. Why let it continue?"
"The Universe doesn't have to make sense to us, Comet."
"No, that's not good enough. I'll petition the Guardians to help negotiate a peace treaty. The whole thing is idiotic, it Stops here."
"You could be going against the Will of the Captains just for saying that, Rivet-Monk."
"I'm a Green Lantern, Father. The First of our Species. Remind that to the Captains."
"Govets." Captain Ranna speaks, silent at first as she seems to need to consider the situation, but she knows what she's going to say already. Because it was a stupid war, everyone did know that.
"Mother."
"Hifu's Star. Waeca Out."
The communication ends, and officially that is that. Depending on the next few cycles and the Will of the Captains, Govets might have just accidently declared war on his own people. All sorts of things could happen from this point on. But right now, the Waeca opens up all of her guns and loads them with some flares and some chemicals saved for occasions like this.
Three quick rounds, a little Wotan tradition. A blessing for new ships to the Armada and a sign of good luck and well-wishes. The crew might have been a bit confused as there were no new ships nearby but with a ring providing distance sensors, Govets knows.
"...Actually, I take that back. He would make a good Captain. I still say he'd be an even better Engine-Priest, but he'd make a damn fine Captain."
"The Council of Captains won't like hearing about this."
"...That's their problem."
                                                                                    2013-2014
The year before two Superhuman teams formed the Justice League of America, its members been the Martian Manhunter, The Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, and Black Canary. The Avengers consisting of Iron Man, Hulk, Ant Man, Wasp and Thor. The League took down Starro the destroyer from another world. The Avengers went up against Thor`s half brother Loki who tried to take over the Planet. The League went on to face off against the Frightful Five, as well as Grodd the Gorillia and The Brotherhood of Mutants. The Avengers went up against Hydra, The Enchantress and Task Force X. However when Loki and Lex Luthor Came up with a plan they pitted the two teams against each other. The fight came to a stalemate given how evenly matched they were in strength and skill. The Team Leaders Iron Man and Martian Manhunter agreed to *keep put of each others way*. Superman was revealed to the world when the Kryptonian squad lead by General Zodd. Tony Stark and Bruce Wayne went head to head in business, when Stark was developing the Extremis programme which essentially would give normal humans meta powers Wayne shot it down as best he could. A serious rivalry between the two friends really started here. They would meet under their guise's as Iron Man and Batman and fight, Tony would take stock of this fight and start a long term Relationship with his chief of staff Pepper Potts and even move in with her, Bruce however would become more of a loner and would even start to brand his criminals in Gotham City as a warning not to mess with the Dark Knight of Gotham City. Thor would stop a INVASION of the Dark elves in London and would be aided reluctantly by the Wonder Woman. Heh, thought of another one using such a d-list DC property that it might as well be an OC. Especially because I want to rewrite him a bit. Think I'll put off doing an official write-up until we get a few more female characters though.
Short Version -
Callsign: "The Heckler"
Bio: Stuart "Stu" Mosley is a struggling comedian in Gotham known for being dry and absolutely acidic with his put-downs, and who makes ends meet helping out in his neighbor's grease-spot of a diner, known simply as "Eats". He's also got a hell of a secret though. He's a metahuman. A pretty powerful one too, as far as he can figure. The issue is that Capes of all stripes are fucking idiots and he wants no part in that life. Besides, his power is almost entirely defensive so there's not much point in him going out and trying to fight crime and other metahumans anyway. Or at least, he didn't think there was.
When his neighborhood was attacked by a supervillain, he discovered that his wit is just as deadly a weapon as his ability if he uses it right. And now that the Superhero community is aware of him it's not like he can stick to the sidelines forever anyway...
Power: "The Hecker" is actually one of the most powerful Energy Absorbers on the planet, the only big downside of his ability being that he can only absorb one type of energy at a time and he has to consciously decide to switch types. When he is set on Kinetic Energy he simulates Invulnerability to most forms of attack. However, he doesn't have any sort of superhuman strength so usually in a fight he has to rely on throwing out so many cutting insults to his opponents that they make mistakes.
Cold Heritage
#12
Hero Name: Ghost Rider
Legal Name: Johnny Blaze
Origin of Powers: Deal with Mephisto
Age: 36
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Description (Appearance): Johnny is a tall, muscular man. He he has blond hair and green eyes. The man's height is 6'3" and he tips the scales at some 220 lbs. Typically Johnny dresses in riding leathers.
Powers: Johnny Blaze is possessed by Zarathos, a corrupted Angel bound to the service of Mephisto as a Spirit of Vengeance. This possession allows Johnny Blaze to transform into the Ghost Rider.
As the Ghost Rider, Johnny Blaze has several superhuman and supernatural powers:
- Superhuman Strength
- Superhuman Stamina
- Superhuman Durability
- Superhuman Agility
- Regenerative Healing Factor
- Supernatural Awareness
- Hellfire Manipulation (Hellfire Infusion; Hellfire Projection; Hellfire Constructs; Hell Firestorm)
- Sin Manipulation (Sin Perception; Sin Eating)
- Ride Symbiosis (i.e. mental control over his chosen method of transportation, most often a motorcycle; bestowing the supernatural durability of the Rider onto the ride, making it a vessel of Zarathos as well)
- Soul Manipulation (Soul Reading [which may be performed without transformation]; Soul Cleansing; Soul Consumption)
- Mystical Chain Projection
- Penance Stare (the Ghost Rider stares into another's eyes, causing them to see and feel every bit of pain they have ever inflicted on anyone in their entire lifetime; whether an individual feels 'guilty' about hurting others is immaterial - the Penance Stare returns what was inflicted in absolute, equal measure)
Weaknesses:
- Heavenly Weapons (weapons forged in Heaven or appropriately blessed can inflict great harm on the Ghost Rider - typically powers unassociated with Heaven are unable to provide the appropriate blessing, e.g. the Norse or Greek pantheon)
- Anti-Angel Measures (weapons, magic, and wards designed to counter Angels are effective against the Ghost Rider - Zarathos, despite being bound to Mephisto, is not a Fallen Angel nor a Demon. Zarathos never rebelled against Heaven or rejected God, but was corrupted by the cruel torture and manipulation of Mephisto and Hell)
- Host Separation (separating Zarathos from Johnny removes his ability to transform into the Ghost Rider, and thus, all of the associated abilities)
- Innocence (the chains and hellfire of the Ghost Rider cannot harm the truly innocent)
Special Skills and Other:
- Expert Stunt Rider
- Occult Knowledge
- Skilled Hand-to-Hand Combatant
Equipment: Motorcycle, shotgun, chains
History: Johnny Blaze's early life was in a traveling stunt show where his father, Barton Blaze, was the main attraction. Johnny learned his father's craft and performed high-flying, death-defying stunts on a nightly basis. This brought his fame and fortune and he led the high life. This idyllic existence was marred, however, when Barton received a cancer diagnosis. The disease progressed unchecked, resistant to all medical treatments. The Blazes poured every cent they had into radical and experimental treatments, but nothing worked. Without a cent left to his name, bitter and resentful, Johnny found himself at a crossroads one night nursing a bottle of cheap whiskey to dull the pain.
As the full moon's light pierced through the clouds, Johnny found himself joined by a mysterious man. The mysterious man offered to save Johnny's father from the cancer, if only Johnny would sign a contract. Without even considering the costs or ramifications, at the lowest point in his life, Johnny Blaze signed in his own blood to the laughter of the mysterious man, who disappeared into thin air the moment Johnny finished his signature.
That very hour, Barton made a complete recovery. It might be called miraculous, but its genesis was at the other end of the spectrum. Restored to the man he was before cancer ravaged his body, Barton Blaze was once again a man in his prime! He returned to performing stunts - pushing the envelope farther and farther, living life to the fullest with his second chance. Eventually, however, Barton's reach exceeded his grasp and he performed a stunt that was beyond his skills, leading to his fiery death.
Johnny was reunited with the mysterious man once again at his father's funeral. The man revealed that he was no man at all - but Mephisto, the Lord of Hell! And the contract, which Johnny had not bothered to read, entailed the sale of Johnny's immortal soul and eternal service to the Lord of Hell. Mephisto took Johnny Blaze to Hell in a flash of fire and brimstone, and there, subjected Johnny Blaze to six hundred and sixty-six days of torture such as only Hell could deliver. And once that was done, Johnny was prepared as a suitable vessel to house Zarathos, the Spirit of Vengeance.
Mephisto returned Johnny to earth, transformed into the Ghost Rider. Given a list of damned souls escaped from Hell, the Ghost Rider hunted these evil wretches to the ends of the Earth. This hunt brought the Ghost Rider into the path of heroes and villains alike over the years. Ultimately, Johnny Blaze managed to hunt down all of these escaped souls, and assumed that would free him from Mephisto's service. To his despair, this was not the case, and as the Ghost Rider he continued to enact Mephisto's will on Earth, keeping lesser demons and evil-doers in line.
Eventually, the Ghost Rider crossed paths with a truly innocent and holy individual. With this individual's help, Johnny learned the true nature of Zarathos - an Angel corrupted by Hell - and was able to confront Mephisto and destroy the contract that bound himself into damnation. Freed from Mephisto's control, but still bound to Zarathos, Johnny Blaze wanders the world, exacting vengeance on the wicked.
Just for a giggle - Snowflame -
Callsign: Snowflame
Alighnment: Villain
Bio: Snowflame's true name is unknown, but it is known that with his powers he easily took over the Isla Nevada Cartel and basically rules over the small South American island nation like a King. Isla Nevada is now basically a world-wide trade hub for various drugs thanks to it's King that has called himself "The High Priest of the Cocaine God, and the Instrument of it's Earthly Will". He might have been kidding at the time. When sober he gives off a bit of an 80's throwback vibe, but he rarely is completely sober.
Power: It's been said that Snowflame's power is that when he's high on Cocaine he really is what other users of the drug only feel like. As such when completely sober he has no superhuman abilities but with Cocaine use to fuel his powers he has the following abilities.
- Superhuman Strength
- Superhuman Speed
- Immunity to Pain
- Short-Range Pyrokinesis
- Able to induce a drugged Euphoria-like state in others by touch.
- Accelerated Healing
- Slowed Aging
It has been theorized that other drugs can give him other sets of powers based on those drugs, Cocaine is just his favorite. This however is unconfirmed.
Mavis Albright
Basic Information
Name: Mavis Albright-Cath
Alias: Broadside, "MAC"
Role: New Hero
Gender: Feminine Dominant
Sexuality: Gender-Blind Demisexual
Age: Physically - 25yrs, Mentally - 18yrs [Human Standard]
Height/Build: 6'8"ft (182cm) & 235lbs (106kg)
Hair/Eye Colour: Sunlight Blonde/Ultramarine Blue
Faceclaim: Taylor "Tayrex" Nelms
Notable Features: Unquestionable "Uncanny Valley" façade in both appearance and aesthetic. Single Nasal Piercing; Absent Rite of Birth
Personality & History
Personality: Mavis is an all-around altruist at heart. Therefore the majority of her characteristic traits involve wanting to help others in nearly any way she possibly can. Although as the sayings "No good deed [...]" and "The path to Hell is paved with [...]" go, not many who come across her would be able to distinguish such a forceful optimism. Of course, it's only a microcosm of what Mavis's moral compass centers. Where she finds fault in many things that could be perceived as malicious or malevolent, others might call a grey area. Thus the lines of what is right and wrong may be blurred when Mavis is caught in the middle. In this area of mental strength, Mavis falls notoriously short, and suffers from the delusion of grandeur involving heroism and villainy. Especially when the example led by others often delves into said grey area nearly every time a documented act is reported. A believer in Absolutes, Mavis often finds herself confused when introduced to complex ideas, or instructions. Meaning of course the woman tends to takes things literally and realistically to a fault that borders on dangerous levels in times of discretion and pragmatism. For honesty, respect, and valor are true traits of a hero; or so she thinks. Given these are essentially the qualities she believes a Hero should possess, she sticks to these principles to a degree that's aptly attributed as "inhuman."
History: Known only in documentation through secret classification as "The Absent", Mavis hails from a frustratingly complex web tree of deep space dwellers that may or may not truly even exist as far as Earth knows. A collective somewhere out in the void of all things that managed to reach out and touch base with the floating paradise of mostly humanoid beings, the early gestation of the Absent was nothing short of a pinned incident in comparison to what the planet had been through. First contact had been made whomever-may-know long ago, and was established rather quickly, save for the only stipulation that while these dark beings remained among the denizens of Earth, that their identities be transparent. While these space-walking neighbors agreed to do so, the oversight of just what and whom exactly these people were came at as a surprise once the studies and interviews were complete. Not unlike some of the super-powered inhabitants of the world, these creatures too possessed unnatural capabilities and abilities beyond normal measure.
Mavis however, was a star among most of her peoples' scarce numbers. She was almost a perfect embodiment of humanoid means in nearly every way. Except of course for the unnervingly large stature and insane levels of sheer willpower one would expect of a young Absent who drew breath for the first time. Born in the oldest recorded place on the continental Northern Hemisphere of St. Augustine Florida, Mavis started her life off with nothing short of a simplistic childhood for her own sake. Early on her forebears knew something wasn't quite right with the child. Whereas she maintained a rather unhealthy strength and glow about her, the intellect of her species and genius-level mental fortitude seemed... Lacking. Her folks figured it must be a side-effect of having spliced their peoples' DNA with what local material they could safely and ethically gather from Earth, and wrote it off. There was hope that the educational system Earth provided would at least keep Mavis on par with Humanity, if only to prevent unnecessary risk to both their daughter and the people around her.
By the time Mavis had reached her age of Rite, it had been decided by her bearers that the mark of the Absent was to be carried on regardless. Though after having come to terms with making sure the youngest of their kind was prepared for the world to become one of its denizens by societal means, it was too late to make any true choices. Mavis had already fallen in love with the idea of heroics and protecting the inhabitants of the planet and utilizing her special talents for the betterment of everyone. To act as some sort of bridge between the indigenous inhabitants and the Absent as they were. Only after learning of the truth behind their first contact until recent note, Mavis felt somewhat anxious about the fact that her people hadn't been to Earth only a handful of times... But in fact, had been visiting "Terra" regularly in order to study and assimilate with the populous. For what true purpose, she didn't know, nor was she told... Since at the time she was expected to be enlightened on everything, including what it meant to be a Hero for her kind.
Superpowers:
  • Absent Physiology: Mavis's main attributes pertain to many Superhuman-Level aspects she possesses due to her natural state-of-being. Which consists of: Strength beyond natural Human means, Invulnerability to most conventional threats, and a Redundant Stem-Cell Structure capable of healing all manner of bodily injury when given enough time to recover.
  • Prime Senses: Mavis's main sensory system is unnaturally heightened. Unless actively focused in utilizing her main senses to Track, susceptibility to overstimulation can cause her to seize up and shut down.
  • Rebound Kinetics: Mavis's physical self is capable of absorbing unnatural forces from outside threats. When actively receiving kinetic force, she is able to absorb and redirect it back to its source.
Equipment:
  • Banded Suit: Coverall Suit of Mavis's meant for all-weather, all-terrain, and all-situational hazards. Often worn underneath civilian clothing when not in immediate use.
Skills:
  • "Bloodhound" Scent: Mavis is able to differ certain scents and distinguish heat and light to track down persons and items of interest; a side-effect of dealing with myriad flora and fauna alike during her upbringing.
Weaknesses:
  • Low Speed: Mavis isn't the fastest being on the planet. Primarily due to her size and partly due to relying mostly on instinct and reflex for majority of her life. However, being built the way she is, damage and injury is a non-issue for the most part in order to make up for her inability to accelerate quickly.
  • Low I.Q.: Mavis isn't the brightest bulb among those around her. Almost dangerously so, should she slip into a confusion-induced frenzy or fit of rage when tasked with remembering too complex of a task or instruction. Inversely, this makes her semi-immune to mental attacks and hypnosis.
#22
Hero Name: "I love reading those theory articles which say I'm the Batman. As much as I'd like to kick ass like that guy, just ask my personal trainer if I have the stamina to do more than half an hour of light Jiu-Jitsu every day. No, actually, don't ask him. I don't need that kind of mockery every day for the next twenty years."
Legal Name: "Bruce Thomas Wayne."
Origin of Powers: "I'd like to say that I worked hard to get to where I am. The truth is my parents left me with the means to help Gotham City by any means necessary. It just feels unfair to get the hand I was dealt, so I'm trying to pay it back."
Age: "Where'd that question come from? Hah, I'm joking. I'm forty-six years old."
Sexuality: "Now isn't that a personal question? Joking again, but I'm not going to answer it. Let your readers conjure up whatever stories they want to hear and all that."
Description: "I'm not sure I'm the person to ask about that? Most people in the city would just call me a rich, entitled *REDACTED* but I guess if I had to describe myself... tall, about six foot four, although I try to add a couple extra inches here and there when I can. I like to work out, so I guess you could call me athletic. I think everyone in Gotham is talking about my blond locks and blue eyes these days, so make sure to get a great picture of them for the cover, okay?"
Powers: "I thought we covered this. My folks left me with a truly obscene fortune, and I just want to make sure that everyone in Gotham gets their fair share."
Special Skills and Other: "No, I was never a chess Grandmaster. I just happened to beat one when he was visiting Cambridge, but what most of the news stories miss is that he beat me in the ten games before that one. I caught him when he was distracted, that's all. I did drop out a few months later though. Anniversary of my parents' death hits me with some depression. I ended up in Southeast Asia for a little while, learned a bit about how to get in touch with my truer identity. My mentor while growing up, Alfred Pennyworth, met some interesting people there during his travels, and helped me to reach them. They're hard to find, but worth knowing."
Equipment: "No, I wouldn't call my car collection that outrageous, but I can see how most people would see it that way. As much as I have to maintain appearances to keep Wayne Enterprises running, I mostly just take what I need to keep myself afloat. My suits are something to keep up and maintain as needed, but my modded Dodge Charger is certainly my most prized possession."
History: "I think everyone knows about how my parents were killed in front of me when I was eight years old. Things are a bit of a blur about that time. I just went through the motions for a few years after that. My mentor, Alfred, was the one who pulled me back from the abyss, I'd say. British, former military. His unique combination of physical therapy and tough love really helped bring me back. Even so, comes a time when those events just come back and it's difficult to put them behind me, so he sent me to the people who mentored him back in the day, when he was dealing with his own trauma. Like I said before, Nanda Parbat is a tough place to find in the Himalayas, but it changed my life."
"I spent most of my twenties there. I guess it took me that long to come to terms with what happened in a healthy way, but comes a time when you have to come back home and really face what happened. When I got back, I realized that Wayne Enterprises had been pushed toward elements which really were making Gotham a worse place, so it's been my campaign to make it a company that worked for the city. My dad apparently had a hands-off approach, but the truth is that it and many other corporations in the city have become leeches, sucking the life out of this city. My ambition is to take the fight to them on their own ground. I hope to see Gotham a much better city by the time I'm done."
