Sara Mills is the 28 year old daughter of Regina Mills (A.k.A. The Evil Queen) and her true love, Daniel. Sara was conceived the night before Regina's marriage to King Leopold, Snow White's father. Regina never told King Leopold the truth. Because of this, it was assumed that Sara was conceived on the ill fated wedding night. Sara was raised as Snow White's younger sister. Though succession would not allow Sara to take the throne unless Snow White was dead. Regina already deeply resented Snow, because she'd been forced to marry King Leopold. Not only, was Snow favored by the King, but she would someday be Queen. Regina and Sara were virtual prisoners. The spell Regina's mother had cast, prohibited the Queen from leaving the kingdom, unless she was accompanied by the King. Because of the King's favor to Snow, Sara was often left behind with her mother. Regina vowed that she would never force her daughter into a loveless marriage or cause her the same pain that had been inflicted upon her. She decided that the only way to keep her daughter safe from such pains, was to take her revenge upon those that had hurt she and her daughter.

Bent on revenge, Regina became a student of Rumplestiltskin and cast the Dark Curse, sending everyone to a land without magic, Storybrooke, Maine. Snow White and Prince Charming had a daughter, Emma. While they sent Emma to Storybrooke, in the enchanted wardrobe, Regina protected Sara with magic, ensuring that her daughter would accompany her to the new land. Regina raised Sara well, a perfect name sake to the Evil Queen. When Sara turned 28, time stopped for her, she would remain ageless, so long as the curse was never broken.

Emma grew up in the real world. She was an orphan, left to the foster system. She became a bail bonds person, successful but totally alone. She was on her way to New York, for a case. She got lost and her car crashed on the road to Storybrooke. She was taken to the hospital and for some reason, she found she was unable to leave the town. The town called to Emma so much that she decided to stay.

She met Sara Mills and it was love at first sight for them both. Emma and Sara fell in love and began a romance, much to the dismay of Regina. The Evil Queen's daughter in love with the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming, that can't happen! Regina obtained the same poisoned apple she'd used on Snow and made an apple turn over, a gift for Emma. Sara saw Emma with turn over and recognized it. She'd been trying to get Emma to believe in the curse, but as much as Emma loved Sara, she just couldn't believe it. Sara bit the turn over to prove that her mother was trying to sabotage their love and Sara fell under a sleeping curse. Emma took Sara to the hospital. Dr. Wale couldn't find any cause for Sara's condition and Emma went back to their apartment to search for a cause. Emma found Sara's story book and when she handles it, she gets a flash of memories and realizes that Sara has been cursed. Emma eventually wakes Sara with true love's kiss and then the adventures really begin.

~This idea takes place in the Once Upon a Time universe. Knowledge of the show and fairy tales is recommended. I would prefer to play Sara Mills. However, I am open to playing Emma Swan. It is a female/female pairing, the real life gender of my partner is irrelevant, as long as they can play a woman effectively. An OC character in the place of Emma Swan is an option, so long as the character is the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming. The story does not have to follow the episodes of the show perfectly, but I would like the overall idea of the show to be represented. If you're interested, please feel free to pm. ~A Serpent is still a Beast~
Once upon a time, a handsome prince had a heart of stone. He lived in one of the most beautiful palaces in all of the Enchanted Forest. He prided himself on having the best of everything. Nothing was too good for him. He loved his gold, his jewels and his finery, but there was nothing he loved more than own reflection.

On the night of a horrible storm, an old woman came to the prince's door. All she wanted was shelter from the bitterly cold rain. In return, she offered a single red rose. The prince turned her away because of her haggard appearance. After he dismissed her a third time, the old woman's ugliness faded and revealed a beautiful blue fairy. The Prince tried to apologize and begged the Blue Fairy's forgiveness. She told him that the damage had been done and in punishment for his unkindness, she transformed him into a Dragon. She told him there would be hope. So long as his heart was hard and unfeeling, he would remain a beast. If he learned to love and more importantly won the love of another in return, he would be changed back into a prince.

The prince had little hope for his spell being broken. After all, who could ever learn to love....a beast?

~The Beast of Storybrooke~
When the Dark Curse was cast, the Dragon was sent to Storybrooke. He was sent in his human form. His cursed name was Brendan Drake and he was the richest man in Storybrooke, he owned half the town. That was Regina's gift for allowing her to cast the curse. For twenty - eight years, he made the citizens of Storybrooke miserable. He was landlord to all of the properties and the pawnbroker that acquired valuables in exchange for favors. Even though he was no longer a Dragon , he still hoarded treasure. As for Brendan's original curse....

Alanna Bellamy is actually Princess Bella from the Enchanted Forest. She was the kindly daughter of a poor King who sought the Dragon's help during the Ogre wars. In exchange for the Dragon's help, she went to live with him as his companion. She was terrified of him at first, but over time she began to have compassion for him and even love him. She had wondered if she would be the one to break the Dragon's curse shortly before the Dark Curse was cast.

Alanna is now the Librarian of Storybrooke. She feels a deep loss for a love that she can't remember, filling her days with reading fairy tales of Knights and their Ladies Fair and of Beauties who tame Beasts. One day, she's cleaning out the attic of the Library and she finds the story book. When she opens it and starts reading, she knows the truth, that the Fairy Tales she's been reading are true. Because of Regina's curse, she's doomed to never remember her love for the Dragon. The memory would always be just out of reach, which was also a punishment for Brendan, since he had to endure Alanna not remembering him.

~This story is set in the Universe of Once Upon a Time. I do not expect the episodes of the show to be followed perfectly. I do expect the overall idea of the show to be present. I would prefer to play the OC character, Alanna Bellamy/Princess Bella. It is an M/F pairing, the real life gender of my partner is irrelevant as long as they can play a male effectively.
