The origins of the Orchid Club date back to the 1970s. At the height of the hippie movement when love was free and easy, a group of women in San Francisco, California took it upon themselves to create an environment where their daughters could explore their sexuality in comfort and safety. Over time, it would grow and expand to have chapters in Seattle, LA, Miami, New York City and several other cities over the years, even expanding internationally after a time. Despite this expansion, as the 70's gave way to the 80's, members of the group recognized the need for secrecy and started to take precautions that would eventually cause the Orchid Club to become one of the most well-hidden groups in the world.

Admittance to the Orchid Club comes from invitation only and each chapter is run by a small group of older women with input from the younger women. With a goal and focus on offering young women a safe place to explore and discover themselves in all aspects, men are perhaps the most closely monitored of the members when going through the initiation process. Once invited to an event by a member, and the offer is accepted, they are required to sign a Nondisclosure Agreement in order to protect the secret nature of the group. The potential recruit is then closely watched at their trial event to determine whether or not they will be a good addition to the group. Some key aspects of that are their ability to respect the boundaries of the girls and the comfort level that they inspire with their presence. Behavior outside of Club events and functions are especially monitored to ensure the secrecy of the Club as a whole.

Once their trial event is over, the girls will decide whether a new member will be welcomed back or not. If they’re accepted, they then have a standing invitation to attend any event at any Club branch around the world. This is to ensure that if a member moves, they can still continue to be involved in the local Club branch of the city they are moving to, if they decide to do so. In the early days of the Orchid Club, upon acceptance as a member, the new addition is given a pendant in the shape of an orchid flower. When worn in public, it allows members of the Club to recognize one another even if they’ve never met before. In recent times, the orchid symbol has migrated to other forms of jewelry and are even worn as tattoos by some members.

Over the decades, the Club has grown and evolved, but has stayed true to their mission to provide the young women a place to safely and comfortably explore their sexuality. Events are held monthly and locations can range from members' homes to rented venues and all sorts of other possibilities. Themed parties also occasionally occur and are considered some of the most fun events that the Orchid Club provides.

January 18, 2020 - Reboot Announcement

WE HAVE A BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!

We are doing a hard reboot of the Orchid Club! What is a hard reboot? How about we’ll explain what a soft reboot is, which happened to the Orchid Club Group Roleplay in late 2020, some months after the world, including the writers on Elliquiy, was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. A soft reboot in roleplay terms retains existing characters and the connections between them. It also retains the setting that was established where the characters interact. Storylines and plots may change in a soft reboot.

A hard reboot is essentially wiping the slate clean. For this next version of Orchid Club, we are changing everything, meaning new characters, new setting, and therefore new storylines to be played out. If you have an existing player from the last iteration of the Orchid Club Roleplay, we are allowing you to bring them back, but any lore or connection to the last version (which was set in Miami, FL) will not be canon with the current version. We continue to look forward to a rebalancing of character development versus smut scenes and the GM's want to steer more towards character dynamics. Do not worry, as smut will still be in the roleplay, but will have a lessened presence.

The most major change for the hard reboot is the setting. The game will now be set in New York City, NY, including the five boroughs: The Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island. The date the game will be set to is August of 2021. To save everyone from the stresses and anxiety that COVID continues to bring to the world, in the time jump, COVID and its worldwide effects are non-existent in this roleplay. Another change is the location of the monthly Orchid Club parties. The GM’s have decided to keep the parties in one location, a high-rise penthouse in Manhattan. The exact location is known only to the members and strict access is enforced. This space is not exclusive to parties and the members can come and go as they please, using this space for whatever they need on any given day.

Welcome to the Orchid Club, a group roleplay game based on various avenues of sexual exploration, age gaps, and at times, incestuous acts between family members. Please note that this is not an incest roleplay. Although some scenes within this game include such acts and your character may have an interest in it, it is not the primary focus of the game. As some players may not wish to read posts containing incest and not-so-popular kinks, the GM's kindly ask players who are roleplaying such subjects to place them in spoiler bubbles, like the one below:

Rules

To play in The Orchid Club group game, you must first follow and adhere to this list of rules and guidelines:

• First and foremost, we strive to remain compliant with any and all rules and guidelines handed down from the Staff of Elliquiy and expect the same from our players.  If at any time, we find that the game or someone in it is not in compliance, we will take immediate steps to correct this.
• Currently, we are allowing the character limit to increase up to 5 BUT there is a requirement on that.  If you choose to have more than three characters, you MUST maintain at least 1 post per character each week.
• All Female characters must be between the ages of 17 and 55.  All Male characters must be between the ages of 35 and 55.  No male characters under the age of 35 are allowed at this time.
• Please be courteous and be aware of another player’s Ons and Offs. If a certain action is being performed in a scene that is listed in the player’s (or character’s) Off section, he or she has every right to ask you to change it.  And if you refuse, then they can bring it the GM's attention and we will address it from there.
• Any non-consensual situation is strictly prohibited in the game.  It can be a part of a character’s history if you wish, but it is not allowed at all in the game. Should there be any scene where consent is questionable, we will require any clarification as soon as possible. If we find any non-consensual activity in the game, the offending posts will be required to be changed and a warning will be issued on the first offense.  On the second, you will be asked to leave and not be welcomed back.  Non-consensual activity goes against the very core of the game and will not be tolerated.
• As a way to try and ensure that scenes do not get stalled, considering the changes everyone is continuing to experience during this time, we require at least one post every 3-4 weeks from anyone involved in a scene.  On the first time that this becomes an issue, we will contact you about it.  The same with the second time.  On the third, we may consider asking the player to step back from the game.  We do understand that there are times where life does not allow this and just ask that you make a post in the Absence and Apologies thread informing everyone of the situation.  Details are not required, just a notice so that we are aware that there is an issue.
• If a player withdraws from the game or has not communicated with the GM’s in a timely manner (see above guideline), the GM's hold the right to move the characters belonging to that player into an inactive status. If a player’s circumstances become favorable and the player is able to come back, we can move their characters back into an active status.

Info Regarding Dub!con/Non-con

• This game has been placed in its own board, within the Non-Consensual Human-Freeform Big Groups section of Elliquiy. This is in acknowledgement of the fact that some scenes that will take place may walk the line between what is and what isn’t considered non-consensual.
• Non-Consensual sexual behavior is NOT allowed in this game.  However, Dub-Con is allowed.  Dub-Con, for those that do not know, is short for "Dubious Consent" and involves a situation where consent is unknown or uncertain. A scene with dub-con may begin as a non-consensual act but evolves into a consensual act. It is also dub-con if an act was consensual, but further along elements are added that make it non-consensual (which can result from intoxication, coercion, manipulation, abuse of authority, etc.[1]). For an example, click the link at the bottom of the guidelines.  At Orchid Club events, ALL acts must be completely consensual as per the nature of such events.

Non-Con vs. Dub-Con:  We understand that there may be some confusion on the difference between the two terms.  In the interest of making it clear, we have the following example of Dub-Con.

• Karl Henderson has an argument with his eldest daughter, Joanna Henderson. In his anger and at the end of his rope, he takes her over his knee and begins to spank her against her will, beginning the situation as a non-consensual act.  However, over the course of the scene, repressed sexual tension comes to the front and Karl and Joanna engage in consensual sexual intercourse.  This is an example of dub-con.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What sort of group will this be?
A: With the potential for friendships, romance, smut and some kinky flavors, as well as the potential for dub-con to appear, this has been put into its own board, in the NC: Human Freeform Big Groups section of Elliquiy.

Q: How do I get my character approved? Do I need my character's connections sorted out?
A: Send your character sheet(s) in a PM that includes all of the GM's so it can be looked over for blank sections or anything that will not work in the game's mechanics or story. Connections for your character is not a requirement for approval, but the GM's will work with you on connecting your character to other characters.

Q: How old should daughters be? How old do Fathers and Mothers need to be?
A: All Female characters (Daughters and Mothers) must be between the ages of 17 and 55.  All Male characters (Fathers) must be between the ages of 35 and 55.  No male characters under the age of 35 are allowed at this time.

Q: How does The Orchid Club organize their parties? And where do players post in-character entries?
A: In previous iterations of the Orchid Club Group Roleplay, there was a party held each month at differing locations, like a warehouse or at one of the families’ households, known only to the members of the Orchid club, as they will have invitations to grant them entry. For the hard reboot, any and all parties will be held at a designated penthouse in Manhattan, with security only allowing access to Orchid Club members. This party or event will be placed in a Party/Event Thread. Once a party/event is over, the finished party thread will be locked and a new event thread will be made once it is open. What is different this time around is that this penthouse will also be open on days outside the party or event and members can come and go as they please from this space.

Q: Can I still join if the roleplay has started?
A: You can always join the RP by submitting a character sheet, but the party/event thread is not always open to new characters joining.  There are plenty of opportunities for side scenes while waiting for the next party, however.

Q:  How do the events work?  How do I get started?
A: You're going to need to get invited to a party by an existing member of the Daughter's Playground.  This person will let one of the founding daughters know that they're sponsoring someone, and you will get to go to the party. Such a connection is required for a character to be approved.

Q:  How does a character become a member of the Orchid Club?
A:  A character, whether it be a daughter, father, or mother, will have to be invited by an existing member of the Orchid Club, and then accepted by the club as a prospective member. They are then required to sign a Nondisclosure Agreement in order to protect the secret nature of the group and at a trial event, are monitored for their behavior with other members. Based on their behavior during their trial event, the girl will decide whether to invite the person back to another party or not. If accepted, the new member will be accepted to all Orchid Club events from that point onwards (for more info, see origin story above).

However, that's just story canon and doesn't apply to actual mechanics.  For our purposes, we assume your characters pass all trial periods and are fully accepted into the club if your character is approved.

Q: In what location is the game set?
A: For the hard reboot, the game is now set in New York City, NY, including the five boroughs (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island).

Q: When is the game set? When and how often will the game time roll forward to the next month?
A: For the hard reboot, the game is set in the year 2021, in the month of August. This is due to school starting in the Fall season, which is still warm enough to comfortably walk outside in less layers. Any scenes taking place before the present may be roleplayed in an appropriate History Thread. There is no set timeline in real time for moving game time forward. As GM's, we do our best to gauge how far along the planned scenes for the month have progressed and make a determination accordingly to move time forward in-game. You will always be notified before this happens and we'll do our best to give everyone plenty of time to wrap up their current scenes before we do. If you do happen to have a scene that takes longer than the time we give, you're always welcome to continue it in the History Thread.

Like the soft reboot before the game’s hiatus last year, canonically, we are choosing not to include the current events containing COVID-19 and the pandemic it continues to cause in real life.

Below, we've provided a code for a character sheet for your character. Please fill out and complete to the best of your ability and send your sheet in a PM to GM's Eliza and Countdown. If there is anything missing or if there is something that you are not sure about, we will be able to point it out and assist you respectively.

Some guidelines:

• Even if your character is aged below 18, all the pictures of your faceclaim must be aged at least 18 years old, in accordance to Elliquiy's rules on images.
• If you have photos that you want to upload, we recommend uploading it via Elliquiy's wiki website, Elluiki. It's free and easy to use.
• Please refer to the current Character List (in Character Sheet Thread linked below) and NPC List to determine which faceclaims have been taken. If you do not find a faceclaim of your choosing in the character list, please post in this thread or send a PM to the GM's and we will let you know if a faceclaim has been taken or not.
• You may wish to add your character to an existing household. Please see the current Family Trees in our Information Thread and coordinate with any players assoiciated with your chosen household.
• We allow players to adopt a character sheet that has been withdrawn by another player due to inactivity or some other reason. This process involves more steps, including requesting permission from the original player. If you are interested, you may browse the Inactive Characters Thread.
