I tend to find running games a little bit tiring with all of the stating and other things that go into it, but I do like playing them. I have been wanting to play a gunslinger character from the moment that I laid eyes on the character, only issue is most games I come across forbid them or don't like guns or other things in the campaign (like Samurai or Ninja, also featured in Ultimate Combat).

So I am looking for a group, established or one we could start that would accept my gunslinger girl. On the sex side of things, I'm open to most anything but the better the story and other characters, the more exciting the prospect!

RubySlippers

Not to mention things like godlings, come on what can be cooler than becoming at 20th level a true god!

I want to run one.

Muse

I think they're herculean types from one of the third party sources.

I could run for a gunslinger.  ^_^;;  I've got a bit going right now, but it's not going too fast, and I can tap one of my unused character histories for plot elements.

Crusade against a goblinoid nation anyone?

Would be awesome, there's always a cause for good old fashioned goblin killing.

“I’d like to tell you a story,” the petite purple haired woman began, addressing the gathering of adventurer’s in a tavern in northern Nirmathas."
“Once upon a time there was a little girl named Zazy.  She lived in the village of Vree north of Nirmathas and west of the orc infested Hold of Belkzen.  Her father Zarzuket was the master alchemist and her mother Fijit was a beauty loved by all.
“Kraetos, king of the goblins, sent a great army against Vree, and though the gnomes fought with all their cunning and all their strength the goblins soon had them all in chains.
“Zarzuket and his family were taken to the castle of the goblin king as slaves.  Zazy and Fijit had to work as scullery maids, but were spared the worst suffering the goblins could inflict so long as Zarzuket used his alchemical skills to arm the goblins with fire and poison.
“When little Zazy discovered what her father had too do, she whispered, "Defy him, father.  Defy the goblin king.  The black angel will protect mother and I."
“Her father smiled fondly and asked her, "Why is your angle black?"
“Zazy giggled, "So the goblins can't see her when the candles are out silly."
“For many years Zarzuket never did as his daughter asked.  Sometimes, she forgot about her angel, but in her dreams, the dark skinned woman held her while she cried.
“As Zazy grew closer to womanhood, her father was so fatigued by thought of the suffering his work caused that his orange hair faded 'til it was white as snow.  He groused and grumbled 'til Fezle the Overseer dragged his wife and daughter before him to teach him the price of defiance.  Fezle bound Zazy's hands over her head and laid open her back with a whip.
“Zazy clenched her teeth and made no sound.
“The vile goblin stroked her back again, and Zazy bit her lower lip 'til it bled.
“A third time the white hot pain caressed her back and Zazy screamed her mother's name.
“The gnome girl knew another stroke was coming and pledged before the gods that she would not cry out for her father, would not give the goblins any more power over him.  As the agony scorched across her a very different name ripped form her soul.  "Ater Angelus!"
“Then it was Fezle's turn to scream as the black angel ripped out his right eye with her claws.
“The angel slashed Zazy and her mother free and fled through a window with a gnome in each arm.  She had no wings yet, but magic enough to jump the wall.

The young woman closed her eyes for a moment, gathering her self control.  “That was five years ago.  The goblin’s are now at the border of this nation, and my father is still their slave.  Ater Angelus and I have grown strong and are ready to take the fight to them.  Will you help me?”

Damn it more biase against the gods! (hurls lighting bolts on the mortal realm)

Ruby...  Let me look at it.  If nothing else I don't know how well it will fit the setting.

What are godlings?

Its a class ,third party, where you have the blood of a god in you or are a chosen champion destined to be a god if you hit 20th level. I personally don't see a big issue they have different sorts but compared to pathfinder classes never seemed overpowered. Some traits and things are roleplaying friendly like slowing aging not a game thing but you can live a long time and what godling of the goddess of lust say wants to become a god looking old.  ;)

But I thought this game would be for odd types if not that is okay.

It depends on what is needed there are four flavors of godling after all.

Do you need anything special in the group?

EDIT: I'm thinking a human daughter of Calistria, one of her many dalliances with a very exceptional human male and well he left her in his care. Not sure of what godling to take they all have promise.

Blinkin

Ok, how about a human ranger with a wolf as an animal companion?

Cythieus

The character concept I have been working on is a young maiden named Madison. She was the daughter of a smith and betrothed to her father's apprentice. On the night following their wedding she finds him making time with a prostitute while he thinks her to busy with her friends. She didn't react right away, even bothering to finish the ceremonies and let him retire back to the room to wait for her. She crept into her father's workshop, grabbed a pair of pistols and went up to where her now-husband was waiting. She killed him and without any excitement or crying, she just left. Left town, took the guns and kept moving.

She's not quite right in the head, she won't hurt someone needlessly. But she is happy to hurt someone if they push her too it. She speaks of her husband as if he just left her on the wedding night and she isn't sure what happened. It's a strange character to play, but would also be fun.

Muse

Sounds like fun.  :)

There was one, I forget the empire, but it's small. I think it shouldn't be too hard to look up, though. I hate the regular guns though and I don't really get why revolvers are so forbidden. They're no more powerful than, say, a giant repeating crossbow.

I can look the empire up.

Muse

*chuckles*  You need to take a better look at the guns then.  (And the gunslinger.)

The damage is around the same is what I mean, though the guns do ignore armor up close. (which I think is brilliant)

Muse

*Grins*  Exactly.

At a certan level, you get to add your dex bonus to your damage, too.

Then there's a nice feat called, I believe, Deadeye shot?  Deadly Precision?  *Runs to look*

The crossbowman archetype adds dex to its crossbow damage. But I get what you're saying. If you're close guns make all the difference.

Exactly.

It does seem that both Alkenstar is exporting, and likely that a few smiths outside of Alkenstar have learned to produce them themselves without being gunslingers.

They are not rogues, there are special skills that class has. Even if I took disable device and the like she doesn't get some of the class abilities needed.

I was going to go one of the magically potent ones an adept godling most likely at this point.

I'll fill that role iwaki thinking of putting together a barbarian rogue

Human Adept Godling

http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=394547

Right now she is a ravishing godling who is a fine oratory performer, raised by an elf after she was found in the woods but she doesn't know which divine power she is the child of but well was found to be of a divine lineage kind of hard to hide that around elven folk. Her spell path is the Witch Spell List and drawing off of her Charisma. Her abilities are fairly eclectic mostly her magic is tough to overcome, she can take a potion OR scroll and blend it into her body as a tattoo until needed (has tattooes) and doesn't need to drink or eat unless she wants to. Longer term I plan to work on her being a capable character focusing on her as a socially capable performer but with some suprises.

I took the variant favored class so she gets two more divine traits later one one at Level 7 in fact for something fun to play with on the extras.

Not sure of her domain at this point however she gets one, and can be anything.

Name: Hugh Manchester
Race: Human
Class: Ranger                                                   Favored Class: Ranger
Level: 6                                                            EXP:
Alignment: Neutral Good
Age: 22                                    height: 6’1                    weight: 198 lbs

Description

Hugh, standing at an impressive 6’1, is a ruggedly handsome figure of a man with long, slightly curly chestnut hair that frames a tanned, strong-jawed face. His features are dominated by deep, dark blue eyes and lips that always seems on the verge of curling with some secret mirth. Well toned muscular limbs accentuate his wide shoulders and chest that flows into a toned abdomine and waist. He moves with a predators grace and a deliberate, determined pace. He is most often seen in well made, if worn comfortable clothing in shades that blend into the environment around him.

Personality

Hugh is a man who enjoys life with a zest that could leave some winded simply by watching him. A constant, vibrant energy seems to infuse his every breath and he firmly believes that life is meant to be lived, people enoyed and humor above all is to be encouraged. If you’re as likely as not to die tomorrow, live for today! A relatively good natured person, he is as much at home in a crowd of people in a tavern as he is in the wilds of the outdoors as he tracks evil beings wherever he might find them. His only true companion seems to be a large wolf who is rarely away from his side; although he has no problem keeping a lusty wench company for a few nights here and there.

Background

Hugh is the only son of adventuring parents who’s main ambition in life was to see what laid over the next hill and behind the next tree. Traveling with his parents, Hugh experienced a wide range of locations and the wonderlust of two people very much committed to each other. For the first 13 years of his life, the world was a constantly changing place with new things to experience each hour.

Just after Hugh’s 13th birthday, he was moving through a thickly forested region with his parents; on the move once again for the next town down the road when they were set upon by a band of goblins that had been terrorizing the locals for several months. The short fight was little more than a massacre and within a seemingly few minutes, Hugh’s parents were dead and the teenage boy left for dead amist the looted campsite. For the next several days, the youth stumbled along the packed dirt road until an old man happened across him and took him in.

“Sasha” was a ranger of some note who had been slowly cutting down the goblin band over the last several weeks and after finding the site of the latest raid, had set out to find the owner of the footprints that had wondered away; unknowingly in the ssame direction as the goblin raiders and had nearly walked right into their camp. Over the next several years, Hugh would learn from the old hunter and learn the intircates of the bow and hunting those who would hunt the goodly and innocent folks; taking on the profession himself as he matured.

It was on such a mission that an older Hugh would stumble upon an abandoned wolf-cub trying to nurse at his dead mother’s tit and take the scrawny thing in. Although he named the rediculas name of “Bob” the wolf took to it quickly enough. While Bob would never be tamed, they developed a intense bond and as the wolf grew to an alarming size, a respect for each other’s abilities.

The game is over here, folks:  https://elliquiy.com/forums/index.php?board=364.0

Blinkin, he looks pretty good but did you remember your racial +2 to one atribute?

Also, I believe Boon Companion is capped by your hit dice, making your wolf level 6, but not 7.

I forgot the +2 attribute, so I'll make an adjustment to the attributes. I'll probably do something with Wisdom, but not sure.

Let me look at the description again on the wolf. I thought that I saw something that may of confused me.

Editor's Note
This feat has some unclear wording. While it has not been updated in an official errata release nor has it been added to the online FAQ a Paizo developer blessed the following wording change:

"Benefit: The abilities of your animal companion or familiar are calculated as though your class were four levels higher, to a maximum effective druid level of equal to your character level. If you have more than one animal companion or familiar, choose one to receive this benefit."

I can see my own confusion, I think. druid level as if it were your level... so, 10 level druid, minus 3 was 7, but it wouldn't matter because my level is 6... got to redo the stats and take away a feat and trick... also drops him back to "medium" in size... sure I can't have a level 7? *grins*

Spoil sport!

I made the changes; it actually helps the wolf as while he looses HP and STR, he gets a little boost in DEX. That's the only real changes as the companion changes little between 6th level and 7th. The changes are in the creature itself's advancement at level 7.

I reduced dex by 2, then applied the +2 attribute bonus to put it back to 16... then took the 5 buy points and increased INT and WIS to get a +1 additional mod. That adjusted several skills significantly... I also forgot to add in favored class bonuses and split the 6 between 3 HP and 3 more skill points.

So, I think Hugh is right now... did you catch my tongue in cheek humor? Hu-man-chester? hehehe
