I am considering running a 5th ed adventure.  I want to push plot and character choices. I want to ideally have it fairly active and hoping to see multiple posts a week by players.  I tend to be active, so it is my hopes I can respond at a moderate pace.

Common and uncommon races.

Level one characters.  If there is more interest, I will post creation format.

Consider me interested, actually :) Already have a few ideas I'd like to explore.

Faeli

I am interested, although I am slightly on the bus(t)y side... I can likely do three posts a week, but more than that is pushing it :)

HopeFox

I'm interested in a D&D game, and I've been keen to try 5E. I only have the free PDF that's online, will that be enough to make a character?
If you're such an iconoclast, where were you when we trashed Constantinople?

Lyku

The free PDF does have the core rules and it has most classes / races.  If you want to explore something outside of the book, free free to contact me and I will be glad to work with you.

So for character creation, I am viewing a mid strength campaign, largely as it justifies me being merciless and you all being heroes.

For this reason, I am going to be having stats be done on the points system, using a 32 point module, so higher than the recommended 27 point from the book.  Stats are redeemed at the following point amounts.

8 - 0 Points
9 - 1 Point
10 - 2 Point
11 - 3 Points
12 - 4 Points
13 - 5 Points
14 - 7 Points
15 - 9 Points

For now, I think I am going to restrict it to 5 players, but if there is a large interest, I am willing to open a parallel game in the same open world. (Different story / angle while allowing the actions of one story to affect the other)

Besides that, creation is standard rules for a level 1 character.  I will emphasize that I will be allowing many of the variant rules for 5th ed.  The emphasis is to be more role playing than roll playing.

I know I haven't posted any details regarding the game.  Plot/story/some basis to work off of.

I don't plan to.  <_<  I want people to work more developing a character they want to play then one they feel would be appropriate for the campaign.

Well, one basic thing, what's the smut content, if any?

Lyku

It's my job to present the world.  Those decisions are up to you.

Elf

Darkvision (see 60 feet black-and-white in pitch-dark)

Advantage on saving throws against being charmed; immune to magical sleep

All elves have a bonus proficiency in perception

Trance: Instead of sleeping, spend four hours in a sleep-like state but remain fully aware of surroundings.

Wood Elf (subrace)

Wood Elves receive +1 wisdom (already included).

Wood Elves base walking speed is 35 feet.

Wood elves are proficient with longsword, short sword, longbow & shortbow

Wood Elves can attempt to hide in the wilderness even when lightly obscured.

Knight

You are from a prominent family, or perhaps a knight. Rank has some privileges.

You are proficient in riding a horse.

One extra language of your choice (already included).

You are proficient with at least one kind of gaming set. Consider bringing one.

Fighter

Most fighters are proficient in riding a mount.

This fighter selected the protection fighting style, which allows a fighter to impose disadvantage on an enemy attacking an ally within five feet, if you are using a shield.

Second Wind: As an action, regain hit points equal to 1d10 + your fighter level. Once per period between short rests.

Level 2: Action surge -- use it to take an extra action on a turn. Must take a short rest before using again.

Level 5: Extra attack on any round that includes an attack.

Level 9: Indomitable -- once between long rests, can reroll a failed saving throw.

Level 11: Two extra attacks per round.

Level 13: Indomitable -- twice between long rests, can reroll a failed saving throw.

Level 17: Two action surges between rests, but not on the same turn.

Level 17: Indomitable -- three times between long rests, can reroll a failed saving throw.

Level 20: Three extra attacks per round.

As for me, I am not opposed to smut, but I also won't have it be the focus.  I do actually want to play the game too ^_^.  Anything that may or may not happen to me (from either other players or DM machinations) are fine!

HopeFox

That is a very fine character portrait and I can't wait to meet her!

I have a few ideas. I'll go through the book and see what comes to mind tomorrow.

I love both story and smut, and honestly can't get enough of either. Looking forward to it!

I think your modifiers next to your abilities are completely inaccurate, but you seem to have them reflected properly elsewhere.  That being said, if you are using base human template, it is +1 to all abilities, which would put your base stats at 8, 13, 14, 15, 13, 15.  With those stats, you used a total of 35 points and are overspent.

As a wizard, you have the list of spells that you know.  What spells do you have prepared for day one?  You have 2 1st level spell slots.  Also, you are a 1st level wizard with an intelligence modifier of +3.  Your prepared spells should be 4 as I recall.

Can I use the variant human build for my character? Two +1 ability boosts and one feat. To face the wrath of Zatoichi the Blind Monk, I may suck at ranged combat and opponents might have to close to melee range but he would be so heroic cool.

Editted the sheet to add what you asked for.

I don't understand what you mean "how am I gaining advantage on Insight, Perception, and Inspection checks" because I'm not.  The sheet simply lists the values if I have advantage and if I don't.

Misunderstood what you ment on your sheet.  Most people tend not to put that on that and it is actually a good thing to do for that.  I was originally viewing it as you did have advantage instead of the +5 bonus when you are at advantage.

Character is approved.

I'm working on some kind of elven cleric of Corellon Larethian. I'll have something up soon.

EDIT: On that note, what is the setting? Greyhawk, Forgotten Realms, or something homebrew? Specifically, which set of gods are we using?
