I have this problem with putting this picture up as my avatar. It's my background for my profile else where and I wanted to use it here. But even after I re-sized it , I still can't it to take. The picture here is not the re-sized one but the real thing.

Did you re size it to the correct dimensions?  Avatars can be 150 pixels wide by 200 pixels in length. Also, did you try uploading it to the Wiki?
