Based on the trilogy by Anne Rice, I was hoping to start up my own little castle and get some lords and ladies in there to play with some princes and princesses.

A question I had was how much are we keeping with the books.  As I remember it, a Prince or Princess is brought to the court for 5 years, made a slave, and then sent home when the 5 years is up.  Or, will they be there for the rest of their lives?  The concept I had would have to be tweaked just a little if he is going to be there forever.

Another question, for everyone.  Who will be a Lord or Lady?  And who will be a Prince or Princess (aka slave)?  Me, I will be playing a Prince.

First off, welcome to the site LadyFox.  Glad you made it over. 

Second, I missed the song when it came out.  The radio stations I listened to at the time didn't play it, but remember friends going on about it.  Downloaded it a few weeks ago, and loved it.

well, ideally, i would like the same number of doms and subs....and so far, we have 2 princes, 1 princess and one lady...(maybe more, my math is kinda bad...) so we need a few more doms...that way i can get everyone paired and no one is left out...
as for the parties, well, those will happen on a regular enough occurance, although not *all* the time...maybe once a week, so the doms can get together and compare their skills =)
As for how many groups that I want, well...however many I need...I mean, if 20 people join, then we'll have 10 groups...which means 10 different stories all going on at the same time...
Of course, the doms could always get together and play with their subs, if they wanted. Thats always encouraged, we like group activities =)
And then there will be the lucky sub who gets a session with the queen...

Not sure about the magic, don't recall much magic in the books.  But yes, think there is room.  As Fred has said, we have one Lady, to control 2 Princes and one Princess.  If I am missing someone, please let me know.

As for the magic, I don't recall any being used in the books.  But I didn't read them all the way thru and it has been awhile since I had read them.  Not saying there couldn't be magic.  Just that I don't remember it.

Vrees is a special character of mine who pops out of her box now and then.
Wouldn't really play her here anyway and I am quite able to manipulate without the use of magic *grins*

There wasn't any magic in the books... except for the magic of overpowering confidence and control.  Something which in and of itself can seem magical, can it not?  I look forward to perhaps having a Lord to train me... please....?  LOL
