Hello Lisztes, I'll submit a character as soon as I can!

Max, I find 5e pretty easy to pick up:  basic mechanics of character creation beyond assigning ability scores can be done in basically picking 3 packages:  race, class (and a subclass), and background.  I found it much easier to learn than the time a friend tried introducing me to 3.5e!  The SRD online is not too hard to navigate.

  Party composition shouldn't matter too much for this game, given the set up, but it is currently looking melee heavy. As tangerine says Max, 5e is pretty easy to grasp, especially just the basics, but if you still find a little daunting you can just tell me general stuff (race, class, archetype) and I can walk you through how to flesh out such a character.
