I think one of my biggest hangups with perfume and cologne is that it's heavily gendered. I don't understand the whole thing. You can like a smell but feel uncomfortable the moment it's on you? Why do people do these arbitrary things? Flowers are feminine by definition? I could swear they had sexes of their own...
gone for more spontaneous surroundings. bye to those that showed interest.

I can only wear perfumes that are pure essential oil based, as synthetics make me have an asthma attack.  That being said, I love Rose Geranium, Neroli and Sandalwood, and often mix my own perfumes.  I also love Lust from Lush and the pure EO perfumes from Aura Cacia, Pacifica and Bath and Bodyworks, which no longer makes my favorite rose and sandalwood.  Meh.

For the most part, I like dark, spicy scents with deep notes rather than top note flowery scents, though hints of those top florals can be lovely as well.  I like to wear perfume in my hair because it lasts longer and the scent changes less ;).

My one and only sent is Curious by Britney Spears.

I have been wearing it for about 4 years now and don't leave the house without it.

I love having a signature sent because I know every time one of my ex's smells it they will only think of me :D

When glammed up for going out, I use Chanel no5. Got my first bottle when I was 28 as a birthday gift, and I reinvest in another bottle yearly as I've have used it since.  To me, it's one of those scents that get better the longer it's on you and is timeless.

If I wear a perfume daily, I use Suddenly. It's cheep and cheerful - I can buy it in a local supermarket for less than 5 euro a bottle.

On my husband, I honestly love good old Hugo Boss or one of the David Beckam colognes.

If you can't do synthetics, BPAL would work just fine for you because they use absolutes.  If it says it contains grave dirt, sage, and black leather, for instance, it means they actually used grave dirt, sage, and leather to make it.

Lust is Lush's jasmine scent, yes? I used to have a bar of Lust soap, and it smelled amazing.

When I was a teenager, I tended to wear spicy scents. Nowadays, I seem to be favoring floral and citrus scents. Personally, I'm in love with fragrances from Dior, namely J'adore (I own a bottle) and Miss Dior (I want a bottle).

My favorite evening/going out scent is Addict, by Dior. It's very, very heavy but it smells better than anything I've had before. It's just not a daily wear perfume.

The one I've been wearing most lately is the new perfume Fame by Lady GaGa. I adore it. It smells different on every person in a very, very obvious way. And for me it just works very well with my body chemistry.

I have Miss Dior, and it's amazing! :D I really should sample J'adore as well. :-)

^ I find that J'adore has a distinctively lighter scent than Miss Dior. It's a very straight-forward and clean smell, where Miss Dior has more full-bodied floral notes, so it's nice for everyday wear. My only issue with J'adore is that it doesn't linger quite as long as I'd like, but it's still pretty and I love it. :-)

Inis because it has a nice clean scent. Their scents are not too overpowering, but just right.  I have allergies, and have not been able to wear other fragrances, but giving Inis a try I found it pleasant to wear.

BraveEarth

It has a hokey name but I absolutely love how it smells, I currently have some one now, Or I tried I was rushing from the shower to the campus today.'

Bath and Body Works Secret Wonderland

Panduhmoanium

I hadn't used it much until I got a bottle for Christmas, but Stetson = the way to go for cologne.

There is a body wash that I am in love with. Its called Sensual Jasmine Vanilla. You can get it at bath and body works.

There is a perfume that I love too. Its by Paris Hilton [shocking I know] called Heiress. The other one by her I love is called Can-can. I put that on when ever I am feeling frisky and my husband goes crazy for it.

Since I don't have much to do before lunch time, I figured that I could reply here. I have a very good friend in a shop that sells lots of colognes and other "ladies only" products, you know? They very often receive tester sets, and more often than not... they receive a few too many. In short, she tends to give me one for me or for my mom as gifts, in the end we have a collection of fairly expensive colognes/perfumes and the like. I don't have a favorite and I use one or another depending on my mood but... I will try to rate them.

JP Gaultier (6/10 smells too mature for me)
Armani Mania (8/10 I like it!)
Armani Code (8/10 Similar to the other one, but it feels a little bit more youthful for me... or maybe it's the other Armani... now I'm not sure!)
Chance Chanel (8/10 Another good option!)
Dolce & Gabbana The one (Ick, 6/10 and I'm being nice)
Inspiration Lacoste (9/10, I really like this one!)
Black XS (it's very light but in a wrong way, 7/10)
Chloé (9/10 it's also very light but in a good sweet way, I love it)

And that's all, I have others but I'm not sure if they're well known or not. I hope this helps!

I don't really like perfumes personally. However my housemate absolutely loves perfumes and has filled our house with them, so I've smelled a few.

The only ones I've really liked though were from Penhaligon's of London, especially their English Fern cologne. They seem to have a much more subtle smell.

There is one particular male cologne that I love called Diesel fuel.

I all honesty, I've been in the market for a lovely oriental scent. Oriental being the term for spicy warm smells such as cinnamon, clove, vanilla.

I've also gotten my interest piqued by the "gourmand" type smells that have an edible hint to them. I've seen things like chocolate and cotton candy and other such things.

I'm a big fan of both Oriental-type scents and Gourmand scents! :D A gourmand scent that I particularly love in Tokyomilk's "Let Them Eat Cake." It's vanilla-y, delicious, and sweet, but not too sweet. A perfect cuddling scent! ;D

Grandmother bought me a bottle of this cologne called "BLACK XTREME"... I sprayed some on my wrist and I'm glad I didn't get pulled over on the way home because it smelled like straight vodka.

If I'm going out, or it's a special event, then I'll use Jean-Paul Gaultier's Le Male - a really nice, clean, fresh-out-of-the-bath scent. If I'm entertaining a lady (though I admit, there's fat chance of that ever happening again, lol) I'll deploy Givenchy Gentleman - an amazing scent, which actually once prompted a woman in a Chinese restaurant to come over and sniff me. And for all the right reasons, I might add. :-D

For general day-to-day use, I usually go for Brut. Yeah, I know - use more than a modicum, and you'll end up smelling like the inside of a vacuum cleaner. But I've found that just a tiny little bit smells sort of nice and comforting; I guess it's because I grew up in the 1970s, which was Brut's 'splash it all over'* heyday.

*best not to actually do that, though.
