I know that there are lots of quote threads out there, but i wanted to start one where people can share any quote.  So if you have a quote that you like please share it.  There are no genre restrictions, the quote can come from any where at all.

To start i would like to share a piece of wisdom my uncle told me once.  He said,

-from a school textbook of biology I once pored through. The guy also had an extra x gender cromosome (XXY) which is supposed to make you a likely criminal (could be an outdated theory). Anyway, those last words struck me as being very odd, like two arrows pointed at each other. "Antipathy to authority", that's recognized, but "antipathy to opposition": how do you show that if you're not already the boss?

 From the tv show Blackadder Goes Forth, a comedy about World War 1 and in this small extract from the last episode Captain Blackadder explained what started the war.
