She usually stutters when attempting to talk to new individuals. It is common to see just asking for her friends to enunciate for her when other can't understand her broken voice pattern.
History;  Mary is for the most part your common bookworm stereotype. Being picked on has become commonplace for her due her height and bookworm habits. It especially went wrong when another girl rejected her loudly, revealing her bisexuality to every student in the area, increasing her torment for years to come. She'll commonly be found in the closest library, reading quietly in a corner. When she's on the Internet though, Mary is an extrovert. Free from the shackles of her oppressive social life, she's made tons of friends and is a popular figure, under the screen name of "Book Battlia". She runs a hit culture review site. None of her family is aware of this. She currently is a freshman in college, choosing a major in literature and a minor in web development. Her past from public school is behind her, though it has still left a crippling effect on the girl's self-esteem. She never really goes anywhere without a friend by her side anymore. The worry of being randomly picked on or messing up her speech in an important situation still plague her to this day.

Personality:   Kenna  is a pretty easy going fun-loving type of guy who doesn't take himself too seriously, he is ever the optimist and a source of enthusiasm and charm in whatever company he is in. He is a multi-talented guy who likes to sing, dance and crack jokes- an entertainer who likes to bring smiles to peoples face. It's pretty hard to not like a guy like Kenna.  He can be a bit dense, naive, overly idealistic and tries too hard to please at times, but he's a genuinely well meaning guy, beneath the surface of the happy-go-lucky stoner persona lies a wiser than you would expect well-grounded personality.   

History:  Kenneth is originally a native of the Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, though his mother immigrated to the states shortly after his father was murdered during the uprisings.  In America he lived with his mother, who at the time was just starting her career as a nurse, the only child of a single mother Kenna always felt a sense of aloofness in his life, which made him mature faster than most other children , as a youth he would often observe the interactions of fictional family sitcoms and a part of himself longed to be like a sort of steve urkel character who brought families together with his wacky hi-jinks. He learned much about American culture from television and by the time he entered middle school, he was no different than any other kid born in the states.

Around high school time he started exploring his talents,  he learned how to play a guitar and started his own garage rap-rock-step band in which he continues to play as the groups front man. His relationship with his friend turned high school sweetheart has been off-set to say the least.

I see Zel more as bicurious than directly bisexual, but I think she would try it, probably exaggerate her attraction to girls a little because she thinks of bisexuality as one of her endearing quirks. (She's a little weird sometimes.)

t'd add an extra layer if they have a sexual history... especially if Zelda is not shy about admitting it, because she's been lucky enough not to have faced a lot of discrimination/torment for her sexuality.

Personality;  Jessica has always had a pretty strong personality. She is very bold and never backs down from telling people what’s on her mind. She is very determined and takes everything as a challenge, refusing to quit something until she has completed it. She is very friendly and caring, wanting to always protect those she cares about. But, she is also very flirty. She loves to tease people and is very open about joking around with sexual matters. She is very outgoing and loves to have a good time, especially with the ones she cares about.
History;  Jessica had a decent childhood. She never knew her father she had always figured he had run off when she was born. But, she later found out it was just some guy her mom dated that dumped her the second she got pregnant with Jessica. But the two of them managed on their own. Her mom worked two jobs so Jessica was home alone a lot growing up. But it helped her grow on her own and develop a more individual personality. She spent a lot of time reading fantasy novels, something most people would not have guess knowing her. She also got pretty into sci fi. Once she got into highschool though she decided it was time to develop more of a social circle. She joined the volleyball team and used that as her means to meet more people. So when she wasn’t home spending time with her mom she was at a party. If their wasn’t a party going on she was going downtown with friends she had made. Jessica usually did everything she could to keep the party going and quickly became known as a pretty fun person. These parties is where she started to get most of her experience with sex. She hooked up with a couple guys as well as a few girls once she realized she was equally attracted to them. Aside from the partying Jessica is a very normal and sweet girl, she doesn’t tell anyone except her closest friends about her home situation, out of fear that people would make fun of her or her mother for her father’s absence.

Great :). I like that idea. Maybe a month or so ago, Mary accidentally sipped some alcohol one day at their dorm (she's terrible at holding her liquor) and became susceptible to Zelda's questions and direction for the rest of the day, one thing leading to another.

*nods* Your idea does seem better thought out and more in character. I'm guessing Zel would have smuggled the liquor, encouraging Mary to join her in drinking. Mary becomes extremely clingy when she's drunk, probably following her friend all the way to satisfy her needy urges.
