Republican Candiates for 2012 -Have they lost their bloody minds?

I usually discuss politics at length, but right now I'm not in the mood. That being said, the Republican candidates that have a shot at the nomination are either sleazy, crazy, or both. I mean Herman Cain is a lunatic, and so is Rick Perry. Cain knows nothing about politics or foreign policy, at all. Even the Tea Party wants him to step down. That's how big of an embarrassment he truly is.

Romney is a sleazy used car salesman who forced mandatory insurance on my state, and then claims everyone here likes it. It's not true, I don't know a single person who likes being forced to pay for overpriced, under-coverage insurance.

Obama should do a lot more, he's been mediocre thusfar. But he will 100% guaranteed be re-elected with the field of crazies going against him. Ron Paul is the most sane and he's extremely reactionary.

Thing is.. for a president to do something, he's got to be able to get folks to compromise and talk to him. While he is willing to talk and mediate, neither side seems to have a lot of statesmen(women) who are willing to cross the party line to pursue the common good.

Each is entrenched with their collective heads up their asses and can't see they are getting nothing done by being rigid dogmatic idiots.

It's actually quite interesting how the craziness of the Republican Candidates this time around, seems to just give the international media scene a chance, to discriminate against the right wing of American politics. Living in Denmark I don't know that much about what is going on from day to day, but I do get the bigger picture, and to me, it's just gone from being fun, to being crazy, to being sad. I mean, don't they realize the whole world is laughing at them?"

that's the problem every time I talk to someone from another country they badmouth america and honestly I can't blame them concidering it's nutters like Bachmann that make the international news.
I might not be all behind prez Obama, but he comes off as sane and abroad has made a lot of good headway, I think that's what history will remember him for, Killing bin ladin, keeping out out of a depression (even if we remain in resession), premoting international cooperation, his relation with the arab spring reveloutions, and one wise move everyone in my house agrees on, not taking the front in Lybia and letting the NATO alliance work togeather instead of seperately.
if I don't like the canidate they put forth, or if they continue fear mongering about "commie socialist muslims tryin to take your guns and tax you" I'm voting him into office again, maybe they'll realize how stupid their being if we them the kick in the nads enough times.
it might be a few times, the far right (I'm center right leaning myself) are slow learners when it comes to political idology.

oh funny fact, there is no such thing as a "free market" so when I hear a few canidates talking about it like god I snicker.
every market has restrictions, such as "no child labor" and "no selling or buying slaves" but if you agree with them you don't see the restrictions.
any change is resisted and debated, some people back during the days of the robber barons lobbied for child labor to not be outlawed caliming "it would restrict the child's freedom to work when he or she wanted to do so." we all see how that argument crashed and burned.
