Sounds good.

This game will be starting soon but keeping the interest thread open for now. IT is first come first serve.

No longer accepting children of Jupiter (Have 2 pending, Josi and Lunar) (Claimed or unclaimed)
No Longer accepting children of Neptune (Have 1 pending, Amelia)
Only accepting 1 more child of Pluto (Claimed or unclaimed)
Everyone else, including lesser deities are open. PM me first before picking a deity, some abilities might need to be made/added.

Amelita

Name: Nadia Cohen
God or Goddess Parent: Neptune (Cabin Leader)
Claimed or Unclaimed: Claimed
Age: 18
Any Background Info: Nadia is the result of an affair between a married young woman and Neptune, a one time thing that the poor thing thought would never be known until she realized she was with child. When Nadia was born she showed obvious signs of being a little more than just your average Jane, but her mother managed to hide this from her unsuspecting husband until she was two years old. By then she'd started to exercise skills more obviously like breathing under water, re-defining the term 'splash' at bath-time and creating small rivers out of the sprinklers in the back yard. There was really nothing her mother could do but admit the truth. This led to a terrible fight between the couple which ended with them placing Nadia in the care of the Lupa and from that day she was raised by the great wolf mother.

Nadia's mother was killed by monsters when the girl was five years old and she isn't welcome at the house she was born in. She's a permanent camper and her strongest ties are to the people who raised and trained her, though she is well aware that they didn't do that out of love but simply because that is their job. She has older siblings, the children of her mother who have been raised by their father. She's never met them since she was left at camp.
She was claimed at age ten.

Fatal Flaw: She doesn't trust anybody. This means she only truly relies on herself in whatever crucial situation and that can have the same effect as being arrogant or proud to a fault, even if those are not traits of her personality.
Weapon or Skill: Telepathic connections to equine animals; can create small hurricanes around herself (which include lightning and storm clouds) strong enough to throw enemies and deflect weapons; can harden water into shields without freezing it; can breathe underwater; hydrokinetic.
Extra info- might add later.
Future Goals Ensuring the death of the monster that killed her mother; mastering her skills to the point of perfection. Other more specific goals will probably shape IC during the game.
Fears She's claustrophobic when the confines are not of the aquatic variety.
Likes Water and anything related to water, be it activities, objects or ideas. She likes music, being outside during heavy storms and horses and other equine animals.
Dislikes Dishonesty, clownish behavior, small spaces and bullying.

Josietta

Name: Jenna Smith

God or Goddess Parent: Jupiter

Claimed or Unclaimed: Claimed

Age: 17

Any Background Info: Jenna and Jarod were dropped off at the Camp as newborns. Their mother died during childbirth and their father obviously wasn't present. However he sent someone from the camp to take them away and drop them off with Lupa to keep them together and out of harms way. He prayed he made the right decision and that those two would be everything he hoped they could be.

As Jenna grew up, everyday Jarod pushed her further in their training. He woke her up early every morning and they trained hours upon hours. They were claimed by their father after they collaboratively defeated two hell-hounds at the young age of 8 years. The two twins have been nearly inseparable and are two of the best fighters in the camp. They proudly wear the symbol of their father on their arms, which is painstakingly inked over biweekly until they are old enough to get it permanently inked into their flesh.

Fatal Flaw: Attracted to items and people of power.

Weapon or Skill: Sword with electrical shock capabilities and a shield that has the capabilities of using air as it animates itself, but only if she has been injured and has only one usable arm. Having trained opposite her brother since she was able to hold a weapon, she is expertly skilled with a sword and shield and is constantly pushed to her limits whether she likes it or not.

Physical Description:
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

Extra info- The twins mother was actually killed after giving birth by an evil nurse in an attempt to separate two possibly powerful demigods.

Future Goals: To be at a level that her father will give her more power than a demigod and grant her immortality.

Fears: Being crushed to death and failing her father

Likes: Fresh baked chocolate cookies with ice cold milk, hunting, hiking, nearly any sport that requires rigorous movement, stamina, and training, self sustaining individuals, most colors that are vibrant - pink, white, yellow, green, blue, and pretty shiny things.

Dislikes: Cold Showers, poor sports, whiners, orange anything -- color and food.

Amelia...gotta ask, what do you mean in your CS about "other equine animals"? Just asking for clarifications, I hear equine and think horses, was wondering (since she's a daughter of Neptune) if meant aquatic instead or just something related to horses???

Amelita

Nope, thinking horses is right. Equine is horses, zebras, big pretty roman mythology seahorses, pegasus like creatures, etc...
Neptune's wagon was pulled by these seahorse things if I'm correct.

zebras, giraffes, pegasi, hippocami are also equine animals and part of those family. It's also one of Neptune's demigods affinity with animals deal. Those Big 3 demigods are pretty overpowered.  XD

-reviewing new characters-

LunarSage

Name: Jarod Smith

God or Goddess Parent: Jupiter

Claimed or Unclaimed: Claimed

Age: 17

Any Background Info: Jenna and Jarod were dropped off at the Camp as newborns. Their mother died during childbirth and their father obviously wasn't present. However he sent someone from the camp to take them away and drop them off with Lupa to keep them together and out of harms way. He prayed he made the right decision and that those two would be everything he hoped they could be.

As they grew up, everyday Jarod pushed himself further in his training, encouraging his sister to train alongside him.

Fatal Flaw: Weak Resistance to Power

Weapon or Skill: Jarod has trained his body into a hardened instrument of war.  His body is able to withstand tremendous amounts of punishment as via his training, he pushes his limits and has almost killed himself more times than he can count.  His sister has joked that the monsters won't need to kill him... he'll end up doing it with his training.  He has thus far exhibited none of the traditional powers of his father... rather he has trained his body in uncanny strength, speed and durability.  He wields a large two handed warhammer that was given to him by his father when he was claimed and he wields it extraordinarily effectively.

Physical Description:

Future Goals To become the most powerful demigod in the world.

Fears That he will not be strong enough... for what, even he doesn't yet know.

Likes Training, Eating, Sleeping, Training

Dislikes Weakness, Those who refuse to learn how to fight and train, Whiners

Amelia- If your character is done for now, you are free to post it. (Noticed you have a fill in later, which I assume is open for plot stuff.)

Lunar and Josi- Replace Lupa with Luna and you are improved.
Three Zues Demigods, god damn the ego in that villa has to be ridiculous.  XD

Jefepato

Name: Will St. John
God or Goddess Parent: Trivia
Claimed or Unclaimed: Claimed
Age: 21
Any Background Info: Will's father, Alphonse St. John, is a somewhat distinguished professor of history living in Seattle.  Will has little memory of the man and doesn't much care.  Taken in at age 2, Will's temperment was never quite suited to the militaristic lifestyle of the camp, but with little choice he eventually got used to it.  He began having strange dreams shortly after he turned 5, but it wasn't until he was claimed four years later that the secrets his visions had whispered to him began to make sense.

Will likes to make himself useful around camp, while trying to maintain as much of an air of mystery as he can get away with without creeping everyone out.  He often asks people who come to him for help for some bizarre component or service in exchange, and he will never, ever admit whether it's actually important or if he's just screwing with people.  He knows at least 17 different recipes for a love potion, and he will not brew any of them under any circumstances.
Fatal Flaw: Vengeance and spite.  Will can cling to a grudge forever.
Weapon or Skill: Magic.  Will is capable of numerous mystical techniques (in large part because he suspects he may be the only spellbreaker on hand if the camp runs into a sorcerous problem), but he has an especial penchant for potions, and keeps many of them in a bandoleer under his cloak.  His favored weapon is a sharp gladius given him by his mother, with which he's deceptively quick; it doesn't seem all that fancy at first glance, but whatever substance Will anoints the blade with clings to its sharpened edge especially well.  He tends to apply the nastier potions in his arsenal when he's in a bad mood.  He's also a surprisingly good cook.
Physical Description: Will is a tall young man, somewhat on the thin side, with dark hair, bright green eyes, and a devilish smile.  He usually prefers heavy clothing, all the better to disguise the fact that he's in awfully good shape for a guy his size.  He often carries a small satchel full of inexplicable components, and wears a short blade at his side.

Future Goals: Become a greater sorcerer than any of the obnoxious witches who've tormented heroes throughout the ages.
Fears: Will's mother scares the crap out of him.  Although she's certainly given him useful advice on occasion, she's always cryptic; he has no idea what she really wants or expects from him, and he's terrified of what she'll do if he fails her.
Likes: Crossroads, gateways, full moons, roast pork, mysteries
Dislikes: Confectionery, high noon, Tyrian purple, arrogance, people asking him for love potions

Wow, 7 new replies while I was typing.  I'd better get my post in quick before the game fills entirely with only the Big Three's kids!

Thanks Ame! I knew Neptune had an affinity with horses (or at least that Poseidon did since they were his gift to Athens when he and Athena were both vying to be the patron diety of the city) but just wanted to make sure I knew what you meant. Clarification is a good thing for this blonde sometimes hehehe.

Game is starting in "The Forum" for now.

BrokenCyrenity

Name: Solara Hunter

God or Goddess Parent: Phoerbus Apollo

Claimed or Unclaimed: Claimed

Age: 18

Any Background Info: Solara was born to a famous contemporary musician who cherishes her deeply. It didn't take long for her mother to realize that her daughter had a gift that far surpassed her own. Knowing from the beginning that Solara was the daughter of Apollo, she pored as much musical talent into her as she could. At the age of 5 Solara was told who her father was and what that meant. Soon she found herself studying Roman mythology, trying to find out as much as she could about her father, putting all of her strength into music, she even took up dancing and sculpting.

Seeing how much effort Solara was putting into honing the gifts given to her, her mother put her into the Camp when she was 7. Sadly a few years later her mother died in a plane crash while on her way to a performance. This caused Solara to stop all of her artistic ventures. Once she found out what a bow and arrow was Solara never put it down, one of the best around at age 11. When she was claimed at age 13 it got her started back with her music and artistry. Having never really hated her father she accepts all of his gifts, including a magical bow and never ending quiver she got for her 15th birthday. Solara may be quiet but she is persistant and will fight to the death.

Fatal Flaw: Being overly shy she finds it hard to open up to anyone. Solara usually keeps to herself and her music. She hasn't sung for anyone at the camp since her mother died and all of her art work is hidden in away in her room. Even with all that she is still a bit cocky

Weapon or Skill: She has great skill with a bow and arrow and a crossbow. Her singing can cause anything and anyone to relax or heal. Can play any musical instrument. She is pretty handy with daggers also. Has superb balance. Can see the truth in anything and anyone

Physical Description:

Future Goals To become a full Goddess. To perform in front of millions like her mother.

Fears Failure. Losing her voice.

LikesAnything that has to do with the arts. Music. Loyalty. Target practice.

DislikesThe color pink, people who rely completely on others, and liars

Aiden

Brokencyrenity- Approved, normally the children are left at the camp at age 2 but Apollo personally came to the Lupa and ordered her not to eat you. I will leave Bubby (Our Lupa) to decide if she accepts you fully or sees you as an outsider. It still took him quite some time to claim you for reasons known only to him, but it had to do with how much he loved your mother and the pain of losing her in such an unfortunate accident.

Kendra

Name: Bremusa
God or Goddess Parent: Mercury
Claimed or Unclaimed: claimed
Age: unknown
Any Background Info:
The only daughter of Amazon queen Penthesileia who had been tricked by Mercury. On discovering her state of being, she was greatly angered and swore if she gave birth to a male she would kill it herself. Thankfully Mercury who had fallen in love with the beautiful woman, touched her womb while she slept and to the queen a girl was born. With the beauty and strength that her mother was famous for, Bremusa was kept a vital secret. Being the daughter of Ares and Otrera, Penthesileia knew herself what it meant to be a demigod. She wished to protect her daughter from everything and sent her to a hidden Amazon camp in the depths of Greece. Named after one of her mothers closest colleagues, the young Amazon grew up strong and swift but far from the eyes of her father.

It was only with Penthesileia's death at the Battle of Troy by the hand of Achilles himself that the magic surrounding and protecting her daughter were lifted. Mercury found her in no short time and sent her back to the Amazonian village where her mother had ruled. With her namesake killed in the same battle, there was only one other who knew of the childs heritage for it all had been kept secret. Antianara, the new queen was displeased to see the child return and felt her right to the throne would be usurped when Bremusa reached the appointed age to vy for the position. She was not of devious means however and instead trained the girl to breaking point, determined that if she were to die fighting to retain her crown, she would do so in a fair and brutal fight. An honourable death for any Amazon.

Bremusa never claimed her right as Queen of the Amazons, no matter that her mother and grandmother had been it before her. She survived her training and one day while hunting came across a lone man. He claimed to be her father and told her of her life to that point and stories of her mothers deeds before her death. He bequeathed her to go to the Roman camp of the demi gods that had been established after the fall of Troy, she went and fought in the bloody war between the two camps only to succumb to the mist that the gods exacted upon them.

She stayed on at the camp to aid Lupa in the training of the new demi-gods, not remembering any of the Greek brethren or her history with them. Not recalling even the part where the Greek Achilles had killed her mother or that she should despise him rather than work side by side with him at Camp Half Blood.

Fatal Flaw: Unknown
Weapon or Skill: Strong athlete; excels at all sports; incredible speed and dexterity; ability to teleport; Athletic trainer.
Bow and arrow efficiency
Excells with chakram
Physical Description:

Extra info- will help me develop quest/ideas for the game.

Likes her time spent training new recruits
Dislikes rookie demigods with a chip on their shoulder

[note: though this character is my own, the other Amazons mentioned are not and neither are the fates that be-felled them all.]

Aiden

Kuroneko

Name: János Aleksandr Erdenko
God or Goddess Parent: Nox
Claimed or Unclaimed: Recently claimed
Age: 20
Any Background Info: Among the Roma, the old ones know it takes a drabarno of great skill to attract, let alone seduce the Night.  The Old Gods are not easily impressed, especially one that sleeps as deeply as the Goddess of the Night.  Such was the case with Janos’ father, a renowned fiddle player amongst the gadje and even more respected by the Roma kumpanias as a drabarno.  Christos Erdenko was a man whose powers were held both in awe and not a little bit of fear, but his ability with the fiddle won over anyone who harbored any doubts.  Though he lived apart from the kumpania, as all drabarni, he was welcome at every fire.  When the dark beauty came out of the night to sit by the fire and dance to his music, he made no objection, though he had never seen her before.  When she asked to share his bed, he made no complaint, though he didn’t even know her name.  She disappeared before the sun rose.  When she returned nine months later with a child in her arms, he welcomed the gift, recognizing her from his dreams as the Goddess she really was. Christos vowed to keep her identity secret, raising him in the old ways, until she decided to reveal herself to their son.

Janos excelled at his father’s magical teachings, and has had the gift of Sight since he was a small child.  Following in his father’s footsteps, he is also a musician of some skill.  In the past three years, he has begun to play at his father’s concerts and on his recordings.  Though they lived from hand to mouth, they had each other, and life was relatively good.  The two were on their way home from playing at a Rom gathering when Janos had a disturbing vision: he saw that his father would die violently.  Before he could tell his father, their old, beat up car was hit by a drunk driver.  Christos was killed in the accident, and Janos was thrown from the vehicle.  Because the driver was the son of a wealthy businessman, he was left off with a warning.  Alone, full of guilt and without a kumpania to call home, Janos had nowhere to turn.  It was his mother who gave him a purpose.  Revealing herself to him, she explained just what he was and took him to the Camp.  He has been there for a handful of months, learning to hone his abilities.

Fatal Flaw: As the son of the Goddess of Night, his abilities are weaker in bright sunlight.  He is also vulnerable when receiving a vision while awake, as it takes all of his attention.
Weapon or Skill: Janos is highly skilled with knives with both hands.  He has uncanny accuracy when throwing them and is deadly in a knife fight. As Nox’s son he has an affinity for shadows, and can use them to render himself and anyone or thing he is in physical contact with invisible.  He describes it as ‘stepping aside’ into another place.  He can see exceptionally well in the dark.  Like his mother he has the gift of prophecy and clairvoyance.  He often has dreams that come true.  Like his father he is a skilled violinist and an up and coming drabarno, having learned the old ways from his father.  He is particularly skilled in knowing exactly what someone needs to help them sleep.
Physical Description: 6’ 1”, shaggy black hair and hazel eyes, Janos is wiry and thin, leanly muscled.  Both ears are pierced, and he wears a number of silver rings on his fingers.  (see pic)

Extra info:
Janos speaks Romani fluently and speaks with a slight accent.  He is entirely home schooled.  He is just starting to get his own gigs and and some minor recording invitations.
Future Goals: Janos hopes to become as skilled a musician as his father and to learn to master the traditional skills he passed on to his son.  He also intends to one day to avenge his father’s death, once he has mastered his abilities. He also yearns to make his mother proud of him.
Fears: Janos relives the vision of his father’s death over and over again, always wondering what would have happened if it had come just a few seconds sooner.
Likes:  Espresso, fruit tea, wine, music, animals, women, jewelry, food of all kinds, being alone, good conversation, the night, shadows, sunset, places of power.
Dislikes: Crowds, bright sunlight, pity, know it alls, elitists and racists.

Winterborn

Kind of a work in progress at the moment, see what Aiden says about it.

Name: Martin Ray Coffey
God or Goddess Parent: Mars.
Claimed or Unclaimed: At GM's discretion.
Age: 17.
Any Background Info: Coffey hails from somewhere in the South, but declines to say which state exactly, though his slightly twanging accent may give it away in any case. Due to a number of incidents, fights and vandalism, he spent most of his latter high-school days in military reform school. While there, he learned how to keep himself physically fit, as well as gaining some knowledge of hand-to-hand combat. More regularly, he became a student of military history and the societies that made war in the best way; through this he became enamored of the Roman war machine, but also of the Native American style of warfare.

Before he was able to complete his education however, news reached him that his mother, Chief Petty Officer Mary Celese Coffey, had disappeared and that foul play was suspected. Her last known location was Naval Base Coronado, west of San Diego, which was Martin's destination before being diverted to San Francisco and the Camp.
Fatal Flaw: Duty; he cannot give up on the mission (whatever it is) or his team (whoever they may be), even if keeping to one means losing the other. Even outside of dangerous quests or activities, this sometimes gives him a very stubborn, one-track outlook where he focuses entirely on a single objective without noticing much of anything else.

Weapon or Skill: Coffey has an in-born affinity for all crafted weapons, but particularly prefers short swords of the Roman Spatha type and tomahawks. It is possible that his father's blood confers some other skill or talent upon him, but it is not apparent at this time.
Physical Description: Fit and lean, his naturally pale skin is the tanned and weathered hide of an outdoorsman. He keeps his dark brown hair in a bristling forward-swept crew cut, which accentuates his ramrod-straight military posture and a liking for battle-dress uniforms. His hazel eyes are bright and clear, set beneath two arching eyebrows, one of these bisected vertically by a pale scar that reaches to his hairline.
Extra info- Speaks Spanish almost as well as English and generally in a more refined manner.

Future Goals To fight alongside a great warrior, to prove himself as a great warrior, to earn his father's approval (after Claiming).
Fears Failure, flying bugs, tight spaces (claustrophobia), anything mind-altering (visions, hallucinations, drugs).
Likes Open vehicles (motorcycles, convertibles, Jeeps, etc.), open spaces and countryside, cooking, sweet tea, fighting with a purpose.
Dislikes Enclosed vehicles, leadership, large cities, coffee, chain-smokers, fighting without purpose.

Aiden

Kuruneko- App looks good, please post it in the character thread (Demigod skills/ approved apps)

Winterborn- Will you be a new arrival at the camp or do you wish to start the game already in the camp? If you chose to arrive the day of the Sumner banquet, the moment you step into the camp you will be claimed by Mars.
