High School with a Supernatural twist (interest check)

Throughout the world, they live among us... not the government spies 'they' or even the alien invaders 'they'... but the so called creatures of the night... they are as divided as people as the humans they pretend to be. Most of them feed upon humans... and many of the Supernatural believe that humans should be kept as cattle only... something to feed on rather than care for. Others... assimilate themselves into human culture, going to school, college or work as their visible age would excuse... Others... assimilate just for easy prey at any time. The possibilities... are endless.

Werewolves are a physically strong people. Their colourings can be varied and even unique. Though they can make the change at will, and have complete control... once a month the beastblood in their veins wins over. They are fairly easygoing people by large, if easy to enrage, though each Werewolf is individual and these are not fast rules for the race. They live long, often thousands of years before they die of natural causes and often have bad blood with Vampires.

|Vampires are a generally intelligent people, clever and witty. They are often pale and usually have bright eyes, blues or greens. They often rely on their wit, though their strength is impressive compared to humans it pales in comparison to most other Supernaturals. They are the longest naturally lived Supernatural, since no one could tell you the average lifespan of one. They are a snide and witty people in general, slow to anger and slow to forgive, and unchanging in their way. They tend to disagree with werewolves.

Constructs are a uniquely gifted type of risen undead, by design unable to rot and containing their own mind. They are just like any normall human... only immortal and lacking a heartbeat and breathing. They do not feed on humans, but hold a dislike for human necromancers for creating them and yanking them from the afterlife.

Angels are a balanced people, avengers of good and choice. They have wings, which usually match their hair in colouring, and are generally quite athletic looking. They can easily hide their wings when not in use and tend to fit in easier in Human society, dubbing themselves protectors of Humanity. They get on better with Werewolves, whom they consider mentally insane as opposed to actively evil. They loathe Vampires in general and consider Constructs abominations by nature. They have a longer lifespan than Werewolves, though not as long as Vampires.

And there we have it... feel free to make your characters unique, you don't have to fit them into my 'Generally this race is' and so on. So in general this will be a freeform RP, set in high school... mainly focusing on the social aspect and the possible friction between the people's race. Anywho, that's it from me. Perhaps we can come up with other negatives, such as needing to wear shades as the sun blinds them, and without regular doses of sun screen they burn easily.

Also, what's to expect in terms of violence? If I were to play a vampire, it would be a sort of self-hating one that aims to kill off the rest of his kind, and then killing himself last (I know, not the most creative). Or for an Undead/Construct, one that would actually aim to spread the Zombie-esque disease so that everyone could forego the Heaven/Hell split and just remain immortal on Earth.

Biography: Marcus was sent to earth on a scouting mission, as preparation for the apocalypse, while here became fascinated with human interaction with super natural beings, such as himself. He also found him self to be enamored with human women, his father was the demon of lust so the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. After some time of living on his own in the human world, Marcus wanted to see what life was like as a high school student. Following this he's enrolled in the first he could find. Now Marcus spends his time messing with the student body and prowling for a constant mate, the angels look cute.

Other notes: Marcus has small shape shifting abilities as well as being able to turn parts of himself into various creatures that follow his orders (i.e. his fingers can break off and form into crows for observation) he is also amateur in fire control.

Ah yes, I've been WAAAAY too lax in some specifics here... essentially the sunlight weakens vampires... they become essentially human in direct sunlight... note direct sunlight, behind clouds and in shade they have no weakness. Garlic brings on a severe allergic reaction based around a bizzare kind of itchy, burning hives. Drinking blood is more of an ADDICTION than a need... the blood makes them stronger and more powerful at the risk of physical withdrawl symptoms. :3

edit: Also the violence is up to players, My character is fairly shy and so on, but others can be more violent... in a similar RP a friend had a Vampire Supremacist, which was hilarious next to my Liberal Vampire. :3 Just have fun with it.

Biography: Luna was born in the mid fifteen hundreds, the daughter of a hunter and trapper in Ireland. At the age of eighteen, her father was bitten by a rampaging werewolf while out hunting... on his first full moon he changed inside the house, killing the entire family... except Luna. Luna's father ran away into obscurity, but Luna was frozen for the next five hundred years as an eighteen year old.

In the early sixteen fifties she moved to London in England, where she lived peacefully and relatively uneventfully until the early eighteen hundreds when she was offered a place on a ship to America. She took the long journey, locking herself in the brig during the full moon, leading the men to believe in the Howling Ghost of the Mary Clare, a myth that lives on to this day. She travelled around the States from Eighteen Thirty to now, only just deciding to settle down in New York for a little while... go to school... be normal for once in her life.

Luna has real trouble controlling her form during intense emotional outbursts, so when angry or sad she may slip. She is generally a withdrawn, sweet girl... and all she wants is a bit of attention.

Other notes: Luna has travelled extensively, and her main method of monetary gain was her violin, which she plays as well as the best in the world.

Biography: Relatively young compared to most members of her species, Miranda was born amidst the Renaissance and the beginning of a new world. Always more of a philosopher than a fighter, Miranda lapped up the teachings of the greatest Renaissance humanists, developing a unique outlook on life which differed radically from the rigid, dogmatic beliefs of her fellow angels. More of an individualist than a collectivist, Miranda has no views on any species as a whole and judges each individual on her own merits; as a result she views Constructs with pity rather than disdain and possesses no hatred for Vampires or even Demons.

Becoming something of a pariah amongst her own kind, it came as little surprise when she finally fell from grace and disappeared, abandoning her duties to protect mankind. Completely vanishing for several hundred years and almost entirely forgotten about, Miranda’s thirst for knowledge has led her to finally resurface to try and live the normal life of a high school teenager. Not that anyone would recognise her these days; her once flowing golden locks are pitch black as are her once shimmering white wings. Having become so proficient at hiding what she truly is, even the most observant would offhandedly dismiss her as just another human, while her bitter, unapproachable demeanour has pushed away anyone who tries to get to know her.

Other Notes: Miranda has the ability to hide her presence, ensuring that even those with a “sixth sense” can’t identify what she truly is. Most of her other powers have severely atrophied from lack of use, although she can heal minor wounds and weakly manipulate light and darkness.

Bio: Spencer hails from New Orleans and has always been fascinated by all things supernatural. A descendant of Marie Laveau, the most powerful voodoo queen that Louisiana had ever seen, so Spencer has been finding out all that she can about voodoo and the power that could be in her veins. Her parents died in an automobile crash when she was 7 so she was raised by her grandmother, who raised her in the ways of voodoo. Although, her grandmother started noticing that if Spencer worked hard then she could become powerful. Maybe even take over for the old woman when she couldnt do it anymore. They had to leave New Orleans because of some reason she wouldnt tell Spencer so here she was, starting at a new school.

How would you feel about modern-day Dopplegangers?

You might know them as changelings, shapeshifters, mimics, or whatever, but the basic idea is that they can change their appearance to whatever humanoid form they want.  Think Mystique from X-Men if you're familiar.

I can see this kind of creature getting into all kinds of interesting situations in a high school...

Name: Sam LaVerne (Current Name)

Biography: 1339 Stands as the year of his "Rebirth" proclaimed by the terrible man who dragged his soul back to the living. In a fit of rage and pain upon being forced into a body, he murdered the man responsible with the very tools he used. The next few years were spent physically destroying himself to no avail, he could not die again.

With a new body, he couldn't proclaim himself as his original being, such actions were be heresy to the people's eyes. With a different name, he sought out the remnants of his order, The Knights Templar. Only a few lived, but no longer claimed to be Templar. With the order dissolved, he joined a growing group calling themselves Masons, stone workers. With his help the group flourished into an order itself, guarding it's trade secrets, and working to better themselves. As time passed, his body did not age but his fraternal brothers did, he knew he had to leave them to there work.

Through history he remained hidden, joining those he believed to have worthy intentions and shortly after leaving them the same. However he did not simply watch, he learned. joining schools every few decades, discovering new skills and arts as he roamed the world. He may be dead, but he can see the world as it lives. He still yet searches for a way to end his abnormal existence.

Other notes: Automatic regeneration of physical body and skill with any form of weaponry including unconventional. Natural actions such as digestion and blood flow are now voluntary and can only be done with focused.

(Let me know if anyone has any other ideas for him or if I should tweak anywhere.)

Name: Vivien 'Viv' Maximon

Bio: A fighter at heart with some of the most talented skills, she has leaned the art of swordsmanship and is talented in Martial arts. Being trained from a toddler, she was taught by the best of the best and is a direct decendent from a long line of known mercenaries. Ever since she was born she fought to play a part in this massive universe, had worked to serve her brother and sisters in arms..up until she was forced to go back to school... a sort of punishment for her which she still couldn't believe was happening.

Vivien had reached the age of 18 where her family thought it would fare well to mix with other races. The world was constantly changing, but this didn't lesson the fact that she wasn't interested in sitting in a box, staring at a box and then eating from a box...not that she did those ordinary things in general, but she had a preconceive notion towards school life...and it was gonna suck!
It was a lesson from her family whom wanted to teach her how to socialise, to be away from her own and learn the skills for the rest of her life... she really didn't consider they were being serious, until she witnessed the letter herself. Her rage venting only to destruct a most treasures painted wall in her home...another reason they said she had to be sent away.

Viv has been known as a bad ass angel. Getting caught doing things that should have her strung up by the Lord himself. She usually gets what she wants and has no problem fighting dirty..being nice never served anyone and especially if it's not for her benefit.

Other Notes: Great with most weapons, she secretly has a fetish for them..drawing blood and bringing on pain is something that brings a sparkle of joy to her life. She can also read minds, but that doesn't usually give her much incentive as the minds of most of her kind are too clean, to pure...too boring. Vivien has an amazing ability in art, able to create a landscape in which you feel you could walk into and truly live it...often she spends her quiet time indulging in this peaceful past time.

Other notes: Frank was nearly killed but Seraph saved him and turned him into a Vampire. Frank wears a cross necklace which helps him fight his Vampire nature.

Biography: A mysterious Science teacher who harbors a hatred of humans. He's been left for dead by many hunting vampires but they never seem to finish him off and he usually moves to a new location. He is very protective of his privacy and hates when people are Nosey in his business. Working at the school for almost 20 years, he was nearly fired after a janitor was found dead near his room, but evidence could not be pinned on him and he was let off free. He has an obsession with collecting rats which he feeds to his 'snake', or at least that's wht he tells students. He has a large Iron Maiden in his closet which he prizes as part of his 'antique collection'. As Frank's Master he is always trying to bring out Frank's vampire side and 'de-humanize' him. Being hunted as long as he has, Seraph harbors a Hatred for anyone who is religious and works for God. Seraph takes joy in killing Angels, usually making a show of his cruel sport in attempt to draw out God and eventually kill him. His hatred of Angels also leads to him often berating them and mistreating them in class.
Other notes: His 'Snake' is actually his adopted daughter Mariah whom he hides to protect her from humans. He turned Frank into a vampire to be Mariah's husband when the time is right.

Biography: Mariah's mother was killed during the Salem witch trails. As a good friend of hers, Seraph spared her baby daughter and hid her. Many years later her existence was tippped off to hunters of witches. After leaving Seraph for dead, the hunters attempted to kill Mariah as well. When Seraph returned to her body as its life was slowly coming to an end, he chose to save her by turning her into a Vampire, despite her being much too young to be turned by old vampire laws. From that day forward Seraph hid her from the world, protecting her. But being unable to experience the world has left Mariah wanting to escape her prison. It was one of these attempts to escape that left the school janitor dead.
Other notes: Anyone who visits the school at night believe it to be haunted because they can hear her crying.

Biography: Jon Maleth comes from an ancient bloodline of mortal warlocks, rare male witches who while being incredibly uncommon, often have a level power and passion that outweighs that of the average witch. While most witches lived solitary existences on the fringes of society, warlocks would often instead blaze a trail of hellfire and discord before burning out. The Maleth bloodline is one of the most notorious human bloodlines amongst the supernatural circles, all due to the actions of one of Jons ancestors. A powerful warlock, Marius Maleth was arrogant and stubborn, and tired of angels and demons interfering with the affairs of mortals. He felt that the hold of heaven and hell over mankind was tyrannical. He fought demons and the occasional angel, and in the end, as several hellfiends surrounded him, he swore a blood oath. He swore that he and all of his descendants would neither enter heaven or hell, until mankind had true freedom. Of course, by doing this, he dammned all of his descendants, an a further curse was laid upon the Maleth Bloodline by vengeful demons, who felt deprived of the Maleth's souls- no Maleth would ever marry, every Maleth would be a bastard, and only one Maleth would live at a time. No Maleth would ever meet his father- the elder would always die at almost the exact moment of the sons birth. Jon was raised an orphan, but he always knew his own name, that his father spoke in his dying breath. At a young age, he was snatched up from his orphanage by one of the supernatural, an ancient vampire that was distantly related to his bloodline, and raised by this vampire. The forces of the supernatural wanted the Maleth Bloodline brought under their thumbs, and this was the way to do it.

Other notes: As a warlock, Jon has an instinctive innate ability to manipulate the magic of the soul and the spirit world. He can create fire, move things without touching them, speak with the dead, even manipulate the emotions and feelings and sap the energy of most beings, with the exception of angels and demons. He also cannot directly affect vampires, as they are soulless. However, he can still hurt them through more mundane means. However, unlike various supernatural beings, Jon is mortal, and does not have the supernatural speed of a vampire, the immortality of an angel or demon, etc.

I'm also considering joining.  I have an idea for a girl who is basically unaware of the supernatural element but is becoming suspicious and stumbles into it rather accidentally.
