OK, this is a story idea that popped into my head over the weekend and that I haven't gotten out of there yet - that's usually a good sign. This story takes place in a world somewhat like our own, with a few notable differences. It is the Eighteenth century, and our story focuses on a particular building in the middle of nowhere in northern England. In this world there is definitely magic, witches and wizards. People have known about it for centuries - millennia even. There's no secret magical society hidden away from the 'muggles' here, and they're not integrated or respected members of society. They're feared, reviled, hunted, and studied after numerous cases throughout history of mages killing, controlling, ruling over, and torturing normal, decent, humans with their unnatural powers. The work was initially carried out by the church, in ages past, who would burn 'witches' at the stake after a lengthy period of torture and interrogation. Things have changed a lot over the centuries though, with handling of these 'deviant abilities and persons' passing to secular authorities (who could never entirely rid themselves of the title 'Inquisitor' in the public imagination) who have been trying to make Deviant Persons more safe and hopefully ... useful.

The recent addition of Reformed Mages to society, always under heavily armed guards and kept under lock and key of course, using their abilities in the public good has been controversial but largely successful. The details of the reformation process they're put through is kept as a very closely guarded secret. Those handling the reformation know that there are a few who simply do not break the same way most of their peers will. These cases are handled on an individual basis, with some simply being executed, others taken for study, and many being claimed as some kind of living trophy and kept by senior Inquisitors and connected/wealthy men once they have been placed under some kind of control through any one of a number of methods.

My character here would be an Inquisitor who has been chasing your, Deviant, character for some time now. Our story would start either shortly after her capture (or with her capture) when she's taken bound and temporarily stripped of her powers by some specially constructed restraints to be 'reformed'. I'm leaving that process intentionally vague and open - but given that this is E I'm hoping we can think up something suitably perverse to put the poor witch through. The aim would be to warp her mind and body to serve as a trophy for the man who captured her. We can discuss what sort of state she'll be in by the end of it, I'd like to be flexible about that (my O/O is a little out of date, so as long as it doesn't involve one of my offs I'm happy to talk about whatever idea is running through your head as you read this) and fins something we'd both enjoy - even if your character will need some time to learn why it's best for her.

As much as I'd like to leave things open I do like the idea of your character being fitted with a number of specially constructed, enchanted, toys and bindings to control and change her, on top of the training and potions/elixirs she's being made to take. When she's progressing well and the Inquisitor is happy to trust her with a little more leeway he might dress her up in some of the more interestingly restrictive outfits of the time (over the toys and bindings of course). She'd probably be put into a rather restrictive corset fairly early on, either a more normal one or possibly something more along the lines of this brass monster here.

As a general aside I try to check my ongoing stories at least once a day, and do my best to reply on the same sort of schedule. I'd ask you to understand if RL gets in the way at times (and would understand myself if that happens to you), and would prefer it if you would also try to check and reply as often as possible.
