Flame felt like slamming the phone against the wall, his tone going deadly cold, so carnal he sounded more animal than beast. “Did you not fucking hear me? You speak to Sydney again and your jugular is mine. Understand Chase?” He thundered, primal and threatening by adding his name, proof he knew of him.

Suddenly Sydney wakes up and hears Landon on the phone. She walks into the phone and walks up to him and holds his arm. "Hunny who is that??" She looks really worried.

"Whoa bro I don't know who the fuck this is but I'm just checking up to see how my girl is doing. Relax and chill the fuck out bro."

“Your girl?” He snapped, giving Sydney his back as he spat into the phone viciously. “If you want to die, call again. I fucking dare you.” He snarled, gripping the phone tightly in his fist.

I get really mad that you turn your back to me so I walk out of the room slamming the door as I crawl on to the bed and bawl my eyes out. I hate that I do this to him and that I can't ever not hurt someone.

As Sydney stalked away from him sobbing, Flame let the phone slip from his fingertips, his snarl evaporating until only hurt and concern stood there. Discarding the phone without a glance to it, it thudded to the floor as Flame followed his girl to the room, seeing her crying, sobbing against the sheets. Brows furrowing in pain, he moved to her and so gently pressed his chest against her back, balancing his weight to show her he was there without hurting her. “Baby, please don’t cry.” He whispered, brushing the hair from her eyes softly,

She groaned as she looked over at him. "Just go away okay. Maybe I was really wrong about you. Maybe you really are like the rest of them. I hate to think that but maybe you really are and i'm just seeing that now." she says to him. She really loves him but she is really really scared of what he might do to Chase and what they might do to their relationship. She loved him with everything that was in her but she was really really scared of being hurt yet again.

Pulling away from her, Flame glanced at the ground, pain etched into his expression before he leaned down to kiss her forehead, flexing before he walked away from her as she wished, head bowed while he brushed his hand through his hair, grabbing his duffel bag from the door and walking out into the hallway. Maybe she was right... Maybe he was just like the rest...

She looked at him as he attempted to walk away. She couldn't let him do that. She just couldn't. He was the one possible person that could save her. "Wait don't go. Please. I was just really scared when you were talking like that on the phone and you turned your back to me. I was scared you were just ignoring me. I hate that." She waited to see if he'd hear her and come back.

Flame paused and rubbed his hand down his face while he sent a glance to her over his shoulder. “That is how a man acts when the woman he loves is being spoken to by someone like him.” He murmured, sitting on the edge of the bed once again, burying his face.

She looked at him. "I know I'm sorry. I am really an emotional little baby. I love you hunny." She smiles as she rubbed his back.

Flame exhaled slowly, jealousy climbing in his stomach. "He called you baby. and asked of how you were." He growled thickly, recalling his affectionate words for her when his tone had held nothing.

She looked at him and nodded. "He was probably drunk. He gets all nice and sweet and affectionate when he is drunk. He's weird. Just forget it okay. I love you and only you baby" She says as she keeps rubbing his back.

Relaxing beneath her touch, Flame nodded and stared at the floor, elbows on his knees, hands hanging limply. “I’m sorry if i frightened you.” He murmured.

She smiled and nodded. "I know that you are baby. I was just scared you'd do something you'd regret." She hoped she was wrong though.

Flame snorted gently. “I would not regret it, but i wont do it regardless...” He murmured, stretching across the bed horizontally.

She smiles as she put her hands through his hair. "I just don't want you doing something like that. That is not the person I know you to be. You are soo much better than that. "

“Sydney... my occupation for my entire life has been to assassinate people, and you still think me a good guy? You are the one person i would never intentionally hurt.” He confessed, exhaling slowly.

She nodded. "I know that was your job once. But you left that. That is not you anymore. No you are not a good guy. You are my good guy. I feel like your my Superman. " She smiles as she continues to caress his hair.

Chuckling without much humour, he stroked her cheek with the back of his knuckles, staring up at her from where he lay. “as long as your my damsel.”

She nodded. "No i'm your princess right? " She smiled as she looked at him. She was so much in love and he was so damn sexy and cute. She thought about how lucky that she was that he came into her life.

“Your my everything.” He rumbled, staring deeply into her eyes, a tender smile pulling his lips. Gods, he loved her. Didnt know how he had ever lived without his girl. So beautiful and innocent.

She smiled. "So are you sure your okay with meeting Mike tomorrow? *Mike is her older protective brother*. "Oh yeah my Dad told me to tell you that if you need a job there is always something open for you at the restaurant. " She smiled at him.

catching her wary look, he bursts out laughing. "Its a fireman." He chuckled, cupping her neck to bring her down for a kiss.
