While the link explains the meaning of the day for Australia and New Zealanders it is a commemoration for all the sacrifice men of innocence, led to believe thy were fighting the war to end all wars, the freedom still holds true and with troops around the world in conflicts we remember those we lost and those who keep up the fight to keep us safe

Its not a celebration of war or a political issue its a war that made our country defined us as a nation and  I wanted to share with other here on E the importance of one of the few patriotic days we have left in our country and that of those in New Zealand

It's always good to remember those who came before and who sacrificed all in the defense of their home and family.

A lot of folks forget that those who step up, hold up a hand and pledge their lives in the defense of home and hearth. Without them, and their modern peers, we might not be where we are.

You might not agree with what your government makes the soldier do.. but like the poem says.. without him you couldn't protest him.
