Beware the Gifts of The Traveler. This strange deity that walks among the material realm, his appearance ever changing. Known as the Gift Giver, he shares a wide collection of artifacts and objects around the world. They say to beware for his gifts aren't always what they seem for even a deity in the mortal realm must find some form of entertainment to pass the time. One item or collection within the Traveler's possession are simple texts, stories, tales of rare quality. Many who claim to have read these secret written pieces talk of them each vividly. Some claiming only a single volume exists while few boast of witnessing stacks of these leather bound inked pages. Each retelling is different but all are of similar genre. These wild and wonderful tales of fantasy are smut. Written to such detail and emotion that each sexual adventure is seemingly not penned by hand but recorded through pure action of the protagonist and fellow actors.

A figure now stands before you. This figure you've saved from a mugger. This figure you've met at a warm tavern table. This figure you've targeted as your next pickpocket. His form always unique and just as planned. He carries a tome of detail that catches your eye. Rather offered with a grateful word or taken supposedly without a mark's knowledge. This leather bound book is a curious piece that earns your time as you sit down to read. It's words quickly envelop you as you become engrossed in the story. You think only for a moment of what it would be like if this story was centered around you. Taken by drowsiness you fall asleep and feel a cold surface as you wake up to a stone tiled floor or worn wooden bed. A voice in your head whispers. "This story is yours. Find the book and it will come to an end. Fail and you'll forever be my toy to play with in this world. Success or Failure, either one should prove satisfying."

To keep things simple. A book belonging to The Traveler has found it's way into your possession and transported you to a different realm that exists solely within it's pages. This will be a Roguelike Dungeon-esque campaign that traverses a fantasy world within a fantasy world. I'm hoping to run three or four single character journeys that could cross paths depending on how each player acts. This will be a Fifth Edition DnD game with female characters ranging from 3rd to 5th level. The way each character got their book is up to the player and does not effect their start. Each start will be tailored to the character's class and other information. Player's will have a choice between level 3, 4, or 5 for their character. All fights will be roughly at the same level of difficulty for the characters. Those that choose level 5 will start with nothing but their small clothes/underwear. Choosing level 4 will grant some mild equipment to start with such as weapons, armor, or mundane items and gold. Level 3 will grant a magical item or two depending on what the player wishes for. All equipment for lower levels will be discussed. An additional challenge will be listed below for any interested in a more challenging experience.

- - - Game Mechanics - - -
- Female only characters please. No Gnomes, Dwarves, Halfings, and such. Dragonborn, teiflings, and other less human like races are allowed but please use images that still relatively human like, I can provide examples.
- Stats will be 4d6 drop the lowest for all six stats. You must have at least three 15s or higher for the rolled stats to be valid.
- Characters of level 3 and 4 please tell me what you'd like and I will give gear accordingly.
- As this is a constructed world in a fantasy setting. Death and dismemberment will not happen. All of the severe consequences one might experience in a normal game will be replaced with other forms of punishment or failure. Ex - Character falling in battle and is then used by the monsters. They may wind up in a cell or sold as a slave there after. They may also wake up in the last tavern room they stayed at as if going back a chapter.
- Periodically I will list out potential options available for the character to take. These are not the only options available merely a few open to keep the character's story flowing consistently
- Passive Skills such as perception, Insight, Investigation, and any other skill applicable at the time will be written out with the information hey provide. The passive skills may list out potential actions that can be done. Ex - Passive Perception, A hidden door is along the western wall. Ex - Passive Insight, This man is visibly likely to jump you the moment you let your guard down and would ravage you here in the alleyway. These skill can still be rolled if you are looking for specific information as you may have better luck when you focus your mind.
- Starting knowledge, You know your in a world fabricated within the book. You know that finding the book you had been reading will free you. You know that you will be stuck in this world if you don't find it. There is no time limit. And you know that people will look at you crazy if you say that their reality is the result of you fantasizing about being in a smut novel, or anything of the kind. All of this knowledge however is still an option to share.

- - - Extra Challenge - - -
This is a random challenge. You get to choose the basic information such as Appearance, Name, Race, Age, etc. Starting with stats however you will roll 4d6 and drop the lowest for your stats starting with Strength. You will do this in order for each stat you roll, STR, DEX, CON, WIS, INT, and CHA. There must be at least three 15s or higher for the stats to be valid. Having rolled your stats in order you now can choose your other character information to fit with the stats. This is to add a random element to character creation and to challenge those interested in potentially playing classes they may not other wise.

I'm quite interested in this! I'll draw up a character sheet in a bit.

Quick question: is it a problem for you if I have issues with online dice rollers (knowing how they work)? If you're okay with it I'd rather use physical dice, or if you'd rather be technical about the rolls you can make them.

Are there any class based restrictions in addition to being a medium sized pretty race? I normally restrict myself to published official material only, but I know the next questions is going to be is XY allowed, or do you use UA content. Best to clarify it outright.

Also would this game be forum based in one main or multiple separate threads or on discord for the individual adventurers? (I'd prefer forum)

1. Not a problem at all really, I can understand having issues with programs. I can make the rolls if you'd like (Quick Rolls. 14,11,15,16,7,17), you can also roll if you'd prefer, just add what you roll to your posts and such.

2. No class restrictions, published materials only please. Volos, Xanathar's, and Sword Coast are fine.

3. One group thread here on the forums. Each character will receive their own post and I will state if two players cross paths.

After about thirty sets of rolls not qualifying due to the 3 15+ requirement (rolling down the line for extra challenge!) I got a set finally. 11, 15 13, 16, 17, 10. Going to turn her into a half-elven bladesinger/monk with total levels of 4.

Kept rolling for fun and 8 sets later got another good set for a human barbarian (17, 17, 15, 14, 11, 7), I'll keep her in reserve in case my initial character ...retires from adventuring.

Rolling down the line for the extra challenge then trying to come up with something for the first set that's playable is incredibly fun. I recommend everyone try it out! I was intending to make a warlock or bard and had to come up with new ways to make my initial idea at a backstory work with the dice.

I'll note my interest, if you still have the space open.. Also, not that I want to play one, but dorfs can't be sexy? tz tz. I bet I can find a rule 34 proving that wrong. *ahem*

Other thought, this is geared as individual adventure, so basically make the character you want, without much concern for a group dynamic, right?

Desired Gear for 4th level: A Greataxe'staff', a fanciful wizard robe and tome (it contains what amounts to doodles), with feather and quil, some nom noms, A comfy pillow.
Book Details: Arkana, as her name implied was the child of a lineage of sucessful mages, with many a prestigious family member claiming titles at courts, magic schools and arcane laboratories.
It was not ment to be. Arkana learned to read and speak somewhat educatedly sure, but she was, as her father put it 'not quite ideal mage material'. Which didn't stop her from trying.

There were -many- kind of magic after all. Failing any and every spellschool test and with a certain.. rivalry with any sorcerous teachers, she finally found a fey-warlock as teacher, a nice old man, when he wasn't trying to talk to squirrels who helped unlock at least a little bit of Arkanas 'hidden magical potential'. His believe in a healthy exercise regiment and natural diet also helped her blossom into a beautiful .. and strong woman. When finally she returned to demand participation in the trials for an adept mage none could deny that she had beaten any of her opponents, for she had done that.. more literally than most, simply strolling through lightning and fire, casting a few sparkles and knocking out her target. She had technically used magic however...

So she was granted the title of full mage and with it came the funds to purchase magic books, which however, she found that despite her sucess and supposed acclamation as proper wizard she still struggled with. She combed through the bookstores, demanding a tome of power that she could propably read through (and none of that cursed soul stealing nonsense, thank you very much) Until a, for her tastes, far too mysterious wanna-be looking shopkeeper offered her a tome and promised it would if not give her what she wanted, certainly change her life..

Favored Kink: While somewhat romantically inclined Arkana has strong submissive leanings, others taking control, with her being made to like it through magic or corruption. She might even secretly fantasize about some of the creatures she fights. What truly would distract her however, is a combination of a display of dominant seduction to make her lose control and a feeling of being appreciated, used and improved by someone greater than her.

I feel almost guilty, because my first array was starting at 10, 12, 15, 7, 6, 12... and my second started at 7, 9, 9, 7. Variance is weird.

Book Details: Bani is one of the disciples of a man once known as Genchu the Exiled Sword. The old man picked her up as an orphan in the aftermath of a pirate raid when she was young. Living in an abandoned mountain shrine, Bani thought that Genchu simply needed someone to attend to the cooking and cleaning (as the gods knew Genchu had not talent for either). When she was old enough, however, he placed a sword in her hand and told her it was about time she started ‘earning her keep’. From that point on, night and day, he drilled the art of swordplay into her mind. When he deemed that she was “good enough not to get herself killed”, he began bringing in other students. There were never many at a time, Genchu was a demanding instructor and most failed to meet his exacting standards.

Then, one day, Genchu sent each of his students on a uniquely ridiculous errand. Quietly, each assumed that it was some kind of oblique lesson, but they attended to it earnestly in their way. When they returned to the shrine, however, they found that their home had been set ablaze. Sifting through the wreckage, the found the remains of armored warriors from Genchu’s homeland … apparently exile had been insufficient in the minds of his former lords. Genchu’s own body was found huddled in the basement. It seemed that he’d won the battle, but had ultimately succumbed to bloodloss. His students buried him, then, silently, went out into the world to use the skills he’d passed to them.

By the time Bani encountered The Traveller, she was already regarded as an accomplished hit woman. No matter how you consider it, the art of swordsmanship is the art of killing, and an artist cannot create without a canvas. They met on the coastal road, two strangers heading north with the coming of spring while the roads were at their most pleasant. Bani offered him some of the food she was in the midst of preparing, and the Traveller remarked that she’d make someone a fine wife one day. Bani merely laid her hand on her sword and said it had been a long time since she’d thought of herself as a woman … to which the hooded man remarked that was a terrible waste.

The two of them travelled together, sharing fanciful tales of the things they’d seen or heard about during their years on the road. They got along rather well, but once they reached a fork in the road it became apparently they’d be parting ways. The Traveller held up a finger to stall her farewells, reaching into his bag and producing a worn book with a leather cover and no apparent title. She tried to turn it down at first, knowing what books could be worth, but he insisted saying that it was payment for the food earlier. She tried to turn it away again, saying there was no way her cooking was worth so much, and he laughed again and said that he’d read it many times already and that the stories would serve her better. Bani hesitated a moment longer, but she’d been taught not to refuse a gift three times, and finally took it as graciously as she could. The Traveller chuckled a bit and told her that if they met again, she could be sure to tell him how she enjoyed it, and that would be more than enough recompense to cover any overages.

It was a few days later, when Bani had managed to get a ride on the back of a merchant’s cart that she finally had an opportunity to begin reading. She’d blushed a bit and given a rueful curse to the hooded man’s sensibilities once she figured out what manner of book he’d gifted a young woman … still, she had to admit, it was a compelling read. Minutes turned to hours as she quietly paged through book on the jostling, bumpy road, warmth spreading slowly through her body as she unconsciously rubbed her thighs together and periodically worried her lips at the salacious escapades that she read. As the sun began to dip below the mountains, she heard the caravaner set a lamp on a hook hanging from the front of the cart, apparently intending to press on to the next rest station. Unable to read, Bani tucked her bedroll under her head, intent on a quick nap … though as sleep took her, scenes from the book kept resurfacing in her mind.

Favored Kink: Bani has long had some D/s leanings, (her relationship with her mentor wasn’t exactly healthy) but what truly captured her imagination while paging through her gift was the detailed illustrations of women in bondage. She finds something beautiful and art-like in the arrangements, and somehow the stripping of power necessary to create such artistry just makes it more exciting.

I'll admit, I was keeping a Dragonborn Fighter (Samurai) in my back pocket in case Monks ended up being strangely popular. Au Ra are a neat stand-in when you want to monster girlify the Dragonborn.

The app is all good? I'll admit I wasn't sure the pitch was the best fit for the game, and then I got kinda rambly with the background.

Book Details: Jessica Wilder wasn't exactly the brightest gal, or the richest one, but she had a feeling that she would be destined for greatness. She had a wandering spirit and an optimistic personality, along with some decently quick wit. However, she often felt like she was held back by her parents, who simply wanted her to find a rich man with money and marry into his wealth. They nearly succeeded with their plan too, if Jessica hadn't ran away shortly after turning 16.

Her new life on the road has a rocky start, but she managed to scrape by with enough money thanks to a few odd jobs here and there. As luck would have it, however, she would be on one of those odd jobs at an old dock when a notorious thief tried to stowaway on a ship. Jessica managed to spot the man heading inside and subdue him, and managed to claim a sizable bounty on him. From that point on, she began working as a bounty hunter, using her charm and quick wit to track down criminals and claim rewards for capture, even picking up on their lingo and a few of their tactics.

One day, after a particularly difficult bounty, she went to go collect her reward, grumbling about how she needed some time off for herself. She managed to meet the person who posted the bounty, a figure masked by a heavy cloak, who only offered an ornate book as payment. As Jessica began to chew the man out for being so cheap, he simply laughs before taking his leave, disappearing quickly. She's angered by this development, but she does take the book home for reading... and become quickly enraptured by it, being caught up in its spell...

Favored Kink: At one point during her travels, Jessica was attacked by a giant squid after she fell overboard on a ship. While she did manage to escape the clutches of the beast with her life, she didn't escape unmolested. The encounter plagues her dreams, and she can no longer go on long sea voyages without thinking about the incident... and fantasizing about it. The book is by a beloved bizzarofiction author of mine, though more in the middle-tier of his works, more of a parody than an erotica, still, due to sheer similiarities of ideas might be worth a gander.

The stats certainly offer themselfs up for it. I'll deliberate if I want to be human fighter variant for the feat and a hint of magic, or go all in barbarian half-orc-'wizard', perhaps depends on what picture I can find that catches my fancy. "I CAST INFLICT WOUNDS!!"

Lael was very beautiful and extremely charming in an endearing sort of way. She had learned to use her charm and beauty as a means to get her way. Becoming quite skilled at reading others, she was usually pretty good at figuring out how best to get what she wanted from them. In this case, she needed the man distracted enough that he first he would put his book down, but afterwards he wouldn't be thinking about the book until she was long gone from the tavern.

Lael approached the man, flashed her bright eyes and smile, flirted a while, and handed him a key she had nicked off of one of the other patrons on the way to the man. She invited him to join her later that night just before she subtly swiped his book and turned to leave, ensuring she swayed her hips to keep his attention.

By the by, I've been thinking, with the idea of this campaign, would it be prudent to also provide a book/erotic story as inspiration idea, or do you have that one covered by having everyone share the same? ^^

Well, the first point that I’d make is that we’ve only seen like half the proposed characters, so there could still be a hard swing coming.

That said, I’m not exactly surprised that people’s pitches are martially inclined. I mean, the core pitch is that there’s a lot of solo stuff going on, playing a caster without someone to frontline for them is pretty risky. I mean, you’re not seeing a lot of archers either, right?

Of course, full casters are largely unshackled from gear concerns so you could take that Level 5 option with no real consequences aside from the near-nakedness. Furthermore, running out of HP leads to sexy times rather than horrible death, so maybe running without support isn’t that daunting either.

I guess my theory is that we’re all “Trying too hard to build for competency in a solo environment” or “maybe we’re trying to avoid submitting a bunch of overly thirsty thots”.

I mean my thought process didn’t go much beyond “I like this picture, and I’ve never played a Monk before. I wonder if Kensei ever got updated for 5e…”

It just so happened that the INT was extremely low for a lot of people (myself included). The idea was to roll random stats and make a character that would fit those states. So being a lot of people rolled higher strength/dex, you get a lot of melee builds over INT based casters. I considered going warlock (which could have been fun for this campaign), but decided to try something new and play a barbarian.

When I write a character I think about having fun first, being strong last. Sure low int into martial was a simple enough decision, but I've had more fun than I should just going wild with a concept rather than ever worrying about efficacy.

Low Int is more viable in 5e because Int is less powerful in this edition, rather than in something like 3.5e or Pathfinder that has skill points. The counter argument is that Investigation is practically the 2nd coming of Perception, but it highly depends on how the GM in question sees it. It also doesn't help that there are so few Int based classes/archetypes in the PHB.

Description: Since transformation, Marius (or rather Marie) retains strong physical physique in form of lean muscles which however do not diminish her femine charms (round butt, B+ sized breasts with dark red nipples and carpet matches drapes). Book Details: Marius was drinking upon his sorrows in local tavern when a merchant joined him for few drinks. Merchant was compassionate man who wondered reason why Marius was deep in his cups but he refused to tell, but the man however left a tome on table. For free because he was over the stock and Marius seemed a man who needed cheering up. Marius curiously took the tome and it described a valorous young woman's adventures, adventures where she saved damsels (and spend night with them) and also spend nights with other mighty figures and was confident, wise and independent. She was even captured once by drow who tried torture and break her, but in end her own willpower and prowess along with intelligence she outsmarted her captors (ravaged a drow matriarch) and then made her escape! The details of her adventures were quite arousing to read, the way how she as female took control of situations was admirable but also interesting and Marius sort fantasized to be like her....before alcohol and drowsiness he passed out in his room.....but when he woke up he would be in quite a surprise.
Favored Kink: Marius has always been dominant/aggressive, but he fantasized most femdom as the female figure in the book and he found it quite arousing. Turn tables around on men, women and monsters alike. Also break stereotype of shining knight in shiny armor not being a male but rather female.

Marius Mandaren was born to Cormyrian knight, early his life training and trained to become a knight like his father. However fate intervened when his father in doing his duty angered a red wizard who then send his agents to their house and burned it down after murdering his father, he was spared only because intervention of a harper, a woman who had spied said wizard for long while. The woman was Dove Falconhand. She recruited him, he helped her defeat the wizard's thugs while Dove focused on wizard and managed defeat him.

Since then he decided he instead becoming a knight of one country, he becomes a wandering knight who protests all countries from darkness. A calling of Myth Drannor Knight. Dove knighted him and educated him on magic, as she saw he had aptitude and sharp mind for it. He eagerly learned the magic and mixed it with his martial prowess. Along his initiation there was other knights and they founded a group, a band of adventurers. He grew close to them and he took mantle of a leader and they had many success against Zhentarim raids upon Dalelands. He grew cocky and bit arrogant with growing success and it made him blind for never underestimating his enemy, which he did on one battle where enemy had laid down alchemical clay mines which shred immediately his barbarian...who was quickly animated into undead abomination by cleric of Cyric who was leader! Then his sorcerer ally was felled on arrows and he narrowly managed escape the ambush alive, leaving behind his injured or dead allies and the event haunted his mind and led him in shame drink in tavern. Given up basically on living and doing what he swore to do. He felt he had failed his mentor for getting others knights killed because he had been reckless in leading them into battle, too confident on himself and his friends.

He wandered taverns and bars until in Baldur's Gate hiding behind mug merchant came....and his life took quite twisted turn.

I was secretly hoping someone would just say that they were a queen or high noblewoman, just something that is usually forbidden from being a player's character in other people's DnD games. Your princess does paint a pretty target.

Well, in Cormyr being a knight is nobility (minor but still nobility). Anyways I otherwise agree that ravaged elven princess is very tempting target >:). Also do note that Bard's Jack of All Trades does apply to initiative.

Well, to quote pg7 on player's book;

Ability checks, attack rolls, and saving throws are the three main kinds of d20 rolls, forming the core of the rules of the game.

So, jack of all trades boost ability checks but not saving throws which are their own type of roll type (and thus skill checks = ability checks and thus fit under jack of all trades purpose boosting skill checks on bard).

Zaer. Tandi is half-elf which is why she is not at her grandfarther's, the king, Court. Elves can be a bit snobbish about that sort of thing in a royal court ;) ;)

I apologize for missing this before. Your Mage Armor spell, I know you get this from your Magic Initiate Feat, but Mage armor doesn't stack with the Barbarian's Unarmored Defense as they both change how you calculate AC rather than adding a modifier.

Shield of Faith is a similar spell to Mage armor, with the exception that is gives a +2 modifier rather than altering the AC base. This would stack with Unarmored Defense.

OK, It has been awhile and I've never actually rolled a 5e character, so please don't be too harsh if i've messed up too badly!

Name: Saetha Aridian
Age/Height/Weight: 25/5'8"/145lbs
Class: Sorceror (Wild Magic)

Book Details: From a young age, Saetha had sought answers. Being raised in the countryside and away from any sort of city, she knew something was different. Things would fall over or fly across the room when she'd get upset, for example. On occasion, she'd feel a cold breeze that nobody knew about. Things like that -- stuff that didn't happen to "normal" people. Her mother and father both would play it off as if it was nothing. Throughout her teenage years, Saetha still didn't suspect much, figuring she was just going to have to live a life, tending to the farm, knowing she was different. Over time, she had learned a bit of how to control these 'powers', making her life on the farm infinitely easier -- after all, who wouldn't find value in milking four cows at once?

However, the highlight of Saetha's time on the farm were the occasional merchants and travelers that would stop by on their trade routes or otherwise long treks to the cities. She would talk to them and learn about life in the city and even hear stories about how there were actually more people out there like her. At first, figuring these were just stories the travelers would tell a kid so they'd feel better about themselves, the books that repeat travelers would bring by and Saetha would voraciously read made her realize they weren't tales -- but reality.

On her 25th birthday, Saetha and her parents all knew it was time for her to leave -- they had been planning this for years now. On her 25th birthday, she would travel to the closest city over from the farm, a full day's worth of travel. Once there, she'd set out to actually meet some of these people she'd heard and read stories about. She embarked rather uneventfully on the trip and, at the first stop, a cloaked man boarded the back of the wagon Saetha was on. He mentioned that he had been by her farm a few times in the past, and knew of her and her abilities. He reached under his cloak and pulled out yet another book and insisted that Saetha take a read of it when she reached the city, mentioning she would learn a lot about herself from the read. At the next stop, he got off the wagon.

Saetha then arrived in the city, on the outskirts. She had spent most of the trip asleep, the book she had been gifted being held close to her. She found a nearby inn, ate a quick meal, then found her way to her room. She lit a lantern hanging near the bed and started reading the book. She read for what seemed like hours before she drifted off to sleep...

Favored Kink: Having been rather isolated on the farm for her life, Saetha hasn't had a human lover. However, as she learned more about her abilities, she learned that she could twist magic to bring herself pleasure. To her, anything magically sexual is incredibly hot.

Player offs: None that haven't already been meanined as being off limits (no death in the campaign)

Thankfully backgrounds can be customized to fit a character. I am good with that background, even the features are fine with me.
