What is it about 7 foot gnomes that scare me? >.<

In terms of Hp, since you did mention the aspect of not wanting people to be gimped, why not give everyone like +half of their max HP dice for the first 2 levels after the first? Since we are I think all using online dice, we should be able to simply roll out the rest of the HP with no problem. Would give everyone a bit more secure HP to start with, then after that you can go "Outa luck" on rolls for levels that would be earned in game. :) Just an idea of me trying to pretend I'm smart and sly when I'm just a silly little pathfinder novice at heart. ^^ Could also really just say "anything below half max HP you roll on the 2nd and third dice simply count as half the characters max HP" as well ^^;;
That's why I said half hit dice+1, gives secure HP and has it higher then half of their max hit dice actually.

Callie, since Black Howling isn't using traits I'm not sure if Nevin can have "Master Tinkerer".  Otherwise, I absolutely love the idea!
Master Tinker: Alternate Racial Trait-Gnomes experiment with all manner of mechanical devices. Gnomes with this racial trait gain a +1 bonus on Disable Device and Knowledge (engineering) checks. They are treated as proficient with any weapon they have personally crafted. This racial trait replaces the defensive training and hatred racial Traits.

Different then the added traits.

Dear, go ahead and submit it if you'd like. That's fine. I was mostly teasing yesterday though I thought it could be cool. I think I have a route to take my char, just gotta wake up XD
Mkay! Its fine, like I said, I'm crazy at coming up with character concepts on the fly, so waiting isn't a huge deal for me. I might be meh at making good RP stories right off the bat or making a good character sheet quickly, but when it comes to characters I'm crazy at developing it. :)

Speaking of characters, for the sake of laziness and not knowing what everyone else is wanting to play that didn't mention it, any particular roll that is lacking in attempted entries with? I'm pretty versatile in character design, so I can try out anything that might be lacking a lot of entries and enjoy it. So long as the concept isn't heavily reliant on the class, I could really even make a concept that can be changed rather quickly to fit in context with the style of class I play.

@Howling: Oh... I totally read that over... and my mind went... durr... >.< Anyways I think I'm going to focus on concept for now since number wise and all, I seem to be a little bit iffy on this minute. I think I just need something to nom nom on. :)

Totally forgot about alternate racial traits!  Sorry for the confusion.

Hmm... maybe I'lll work on doing a support/healer. Doesn't seem like anyone was going that angle. I have not gotten the chance to play a cleric yet, so it could be fun. Actually, I totally forgot about oracle too! Hmm I'll have to figure this one out. :)

That could be good, I'd think. Those are usually quite hard to find.

Wintercat

Shuran Wildwalker, the Wandering Barbarian

Description:

Shuran is a dark haired woman of the wilds. She has a tanned skin and a tall, strong build, her body is not bulging with muscles but the look at her arms and legs can tell she is in a firm, trained shape. Soft film of fat softens the flexible, firm but lean muscles under her skin. Her body looks made for swimming, running, climbing and fighting.

Her hazel brown eyes hold a tight watch on her surroundings, rarely at rest for long unless she knows someone else is guarding already, and sometimes not even then. Her pearly white teeth show a grin at times that is both feminine and predatory.

Her arms might not be meant for weight lifting but she is able to put a fair amount of strength in her swing and touch, having trained to use it right. Her agility and precision mixed with her strength make her attacks with a weapon dangerous.

Shuran's tough appearance is made distinctly less mean by her female curves. Coupled with her upright, confident stance that gives her a well defined back, the beautifully formed breasts are usually kept partially under a strap of leather padded with cotton, but taunting in their motion at her proud stride.

Gazing down reveals a smooth, flat stomach with a thin layer of fat softening what would be a firm surface again, leading down to a well rounded bottom leading down to strong thighs. She is not built with a hourglass figure but she is charming in her own strong manner.

Background:

Shuran was born to a clan of warriors and horsemen. She was taught to run, climb, swim, ride and fight along the others. Men and women all had to know how to survive on their own, and how to help their clan. Shuran had good eyes and she was able to fight well, so she was chosen as a scout. Tough and enduring, she could travel good distances, though she was not someone that usually chose to hide, which raised some concern among a few in her clan.

She returned time after time though, bringing some treat with her, whether it was berries she had picked up at the woods to sate her hunger, or a hare or fish she had caught in the wilderness. Sometimes she brought news from travelers that had come close to the clan's home. Occasionally, she had to report spotting bandits or monsters, but those encounters were few and rare, and best left to the champion of the clan.

One night the witch came to speak to her, asking her what she truely wished for. Shuran was silent a while but then told of her dream. She felt the road calling, she wanted to set out past the familiar, safe plains and forests, and to head on forth to lands further away. She told of her aspiration to lead a small clan one day herself, to take people to build a new haven for the people in the wilderness. The witch simply smiled to her, and whispered a few words in her ear. "You can remain and find a small peace here, or pursue your dream and find a great adventure."

By next dawn she had packed her meager supplies, but the rest of the clan was waiting. Gift after another filled her arms as she hugged friends and extended family, receiving their gifts and words of advice, finally standing before the chief. The old man smiled to her, presenting to her the gift she considers the most important one. Her grandfather's old sword, a blade the old adventurer brought when retiring from that life among the clan's people.

With fond farewells she said goodbye to the people, and turned to make her own path.

Writing prompt

"So, what it like?" The question made Shuran turn to look at the merchant that was travelling with her. "What is?" She asked with confusion showing in her hazel eyes and on her tanned face, staring at the pale, short man. She had already answered a number of questions but he kept coming up with more. Shuran was beginning to think he was afraid of silence.

"Well, you ride horses all day, rob others and then have a feast and a party around a campfire right?" She suppressed the urge to punch him. "That's just a bad bard tale." She commented roughly. "Oh. What about a tribe of just women, that fight against men and only capture them when its time to... you know." This almost made her laugh. "Just women? That's stupid, that tribe or clan would die out soon." The merchant snickered. "No, I mean I heard there were these warrior women that captured men and threw away male children but kept their daughters."

The look he was giving to her ass when he seemed to think she wasn't paying attention made her snort. So that's what he was after. "So you think because I'm a lone warrior woman on the road I might be one of them?" She asked, looking at him, and seeing the merchant nodding, and grinning. She almost wanted to punch him, and almost wanted to laugh. She had just enough willpower to hold both impulses back.

"And since there's no other men around for a long way still, you are starting to look pretty good huh?" The young man was smirking a little. The merchant actually nod.

"Show me that soap you were trying to sell me earlier, would you?" Confused, the merchant opened the saddlebag on the horse following him on the leash.

"It was nice meeting you, have a lot of good trading, trader!" Waving her hand and grinning to the merchant at the gates, Shuran headed along to see what she could find in the town. Perhaps she should visit a tavern. First she would have to wash her hands though.

They were still soapy and coated in spit from washing that man's mouth. Who said you couldn't teach barbarian some manners?
I've taken the Oath of The Drake. Remind me of it if you think I act against it.

What is that a picture of, your mom? Oh I tossed in the cheesiest of cheesy jokes!

Anyways, not quite sure where to look for a good picture of a oracle... but google managed to find me a picture that actually looks pretty good. :) Also I guess I do have some non-anime styled pictures in my Photobucket I forgot about, one that could even work for the character. Still want to look up to see if I can find more though. ^^

Did actually spot one more that, minus the dagger, does seem like she could potentially fit as an oracle in a way. :)

Departure

Marianne was in her room, she was backing the last remaining essentials for her journey. She watches on the generous pillow bed with rich thick mattress and the silk blankets. She makes deep sigh and small smile on her lips she pats the bed and says; "Thanks from all pleasant dreams from the years, it will be while before we meet again." Marianne checks her finely crafted full plate armor from the mirror, hoistening up her father's longsword in her hips and checks she has everything. With smile she departs from her lavishly furnitured room, leaving her dresses and luxury behind the closed door while she carries her backpack.

She walks down the halls of Roseblade's castle, tabards of ancient war companies, some adventure companions, hanged from walls alongside with paintings of warlords and generals. Her family has several generations of valorous knigths, war heroes and generals of many wars. She passes past statue depicting Iomedae, standing proudly while helding longsword up in challenge. With smile she draws her longsword and greets her chosen goddess; "Fair greetings to you mylady, favor me in future battles." Sheathing her blade she walks down the halls to courtyard where her warhorse awaits, valet of the castle held reins of her horse. Besides valet stands her well noble dressed mother, she is holding tissue and she has reddened eyes, from all crying since her announcement. She speaks; "You know you don't need do this! You could stay here and be just lady of the keep!"

Marianne sighs, shaking her head sadly she replies; "I can't mother, you heard Iomedae herself speak dinning table last night; 'Your eldest daugther must go now to Redwall mountains and face challenge, then continue face more challenges until she sees the red dawn with golden wings'. It's direct call from goddess so I cannot deny it, consider how fair she has been with our family. Your doing fine mother, even if father died campaign years ago your been more mistress of this castle than I had ever been."
Mother sobs, swiping tear away with tissue and says; "I know....may goddess watch over you."

After teary farewells Marianne set upon her road, saying farewells to her noble life and starting her long road as adventurer.

"Mistress Rhea?" The scribe looked up from where she was scribing Archmage Halgin's notes. The man was a gifted researcher and talented in the Art but his handwriting was a thing that only could be described as 'exquisite torment'. How could a man so smart mangle grammar in common, yet speak so well in the Four Cardinal Tongues. She set aside the notes and looked up. "Guard Inspector Tarroc." The man said as he presented his papers, which she looked over with care. Guard Captain of Watch Semiv's signature was there.

"What can I do for you Inspector." She said politely from where she sat, looking through the veil with care as she set aside her pens.

"I need you to walk with me." He said as he offered a silk cord to her, which she took with a sigh. The Trusting Cord, it was a minor magic of the courts. So long as she told no lie to his questions she would keep her hands entangled, the more she lied the more it tied her hands till she was bound by her own admissions. It wasn't the first time she had been asked to wear them.  "Tell me why you left the Warder's school."

"I might be a smart woman, Inspector, but I'm not particularly pious. My.. condition." She flicked her tail to highlight it as she let him lead her through the school grounds with her noting that they were headed to the Summoner's Annex. ".. is not well regarded by the Lord Warder." She left out that it was not her taint but her character that clashed with the Lord Warder, he thought she was blood tainted beyond redemption and she thought he was a blustering fool without a redeeming quality beyond the boil on his chin. Saying so in public got her invited to leave. At spear point, with only her house name saving her life.

"Indeed." The smirk on the Inspector's face told her that he had head of the inferno that she had wrought on that holiday gala. "And why did you leave the Alchemists?"

"They found me an able student, but it was clear that it was only a minor skill and that my true talent was in tongue and the Art." She said as he walked with her, not quite marching her to the warded rooms but the destination was clearly that.  Why do you want me unable to summon things from beyond Inspector? She asked silently as she took another glance at his warrant writ. Her sharp and trained eyes looked over it carefully. Ah-ha

"And why are you hear working in the Summoner's college?" He asked as they stepped into the warded testing rooms of the college. Here, students were expected to rely upon their own arts and skills, with outside influences blocked and wards to prevent calling for aid with magic.

"I came here to learn the Four Cardinal Languages. With my gift for language, my mentor thought it would be a boon to my training." The Four Cardinal Languages were the core of the Summoner's College tenets. By knowing how to speak to the various elemental spirits, it was thought, one could coax greater boons and cultivate a more diplomatic relationship with the elements. She spoke all four languages and wrote them as well, a rarity for a student of her relatively low power. The Inspector closed the door and she could feel the wards settling into place, like her inner sight was being covered by a veil.

"Do you bear any spells of combative power today?" He asked as the bolt shot into place. Ah now we come to the crux of the matter. A Guard Inspector could enter the Collegium unescorted but only had the strength of his arms at hand, along with his writs and magics such as the cords she wore on her hands.

"I have no learned spells of battle this day or for the week as a whole. I've been translating texts for Archmage Heglin from his journey notes." She said as she noted his eyes looked to her hands, checking for the truth of what she said. They were as loose as they had been when she put them on. So to his thoughts she was without a way to defend herself. "I wonder though, who you go to fill out the writ you present though. There are fourteen seals used in the Guard's Writ. I know the scribes who write them, so I have a question for you Inspector.  Did your forger simply thing everyone at the Collegium were fools or that I couldn't spot a forgery with ease?" She asked as she threw a blanket of darkness of the room as he lunged for her.

Minutes passed as the muffled sounds of combat filled the halls as the Legate waited outside the rooms. Finally she opened the door and stepped out.

"We thought you could see the forgery Mistress.. did he say who sent him?" The man said as he gestured and a trio men stepped in to collect the man, who was groaning in pain from her magics. She leaned over to hear his groaned question as she slid the Cord onto his hands.

"I answered you true Assassin.. you simply assumed that I was a member of the Summoner's College and not a student of another school. Archmage Heglin isn't my mentor, but merely my teacher. Archmage Riduculdy is my Mentor." She smiled as the realization that she was a student of the Evocation School. If she had been armed with proper spells rather than the blunt tricks she had learned in the school, she could have burned him alive. She let the men take him away as she turned back to the Legate. "No, other wise he'd would have gotten me somewhere were I couldn't throw my darts of force at him or lay darkness over the room to get the distance I needed."

Okay, sorry to say this; but it doesn't seem like you have even read my creation area. So far you have missed the no traits, which yes was not in the creation area but I thought it was decently obvious when I said APG was only a maybe based on concept. You've also mistook it on the favored class bonus, and now I see you are thinking of rolling up a warlord which is a 3rd party class from adamant entertainment.

I wanted to keep this as rules simple as possible to cut down the stress on power gaming and just get a good group. Sorry, I don't think I'm gonna consider anymore concepts from you. I just think you really haven't payed attention to what I was asking for from the players.

References from other posts you've made in this thread. You read late about the no traits, which yes you hadn't selected yet but seemed to think were alright. You also suggested alternate favored class bonus to another players despite my creation area, and now you are thinking rolling up a class from adamant entertainment. Might I also mention that the feat you are thinking of selecting isn't even from the two books I have mentioned. It's from the Campaign setting for Golarion.
