This game is just that. A battle (humorous) of everyone under the sun. I claim Dr. Gregory House, anyone else is up for grabs. Whether you want to be the three Stooges, the Ninja Turtles, Three Musketeers, Micky Mouse, Richard Nixon, Donald Trump, Batman, Chuck Norris, the 6 original Power Rangers, anyone is up for grabs.

There will be a roster and a casualty list to keep track of whose in the game and whose gone.

There are a few rules:

No one is invincible. Even Optimus Prime, Godzilla, Cthulu--everyone has a weakness.

You can't Godmode someone else's death or damage. King Kong cannot waltz in and step on Mr. Rogers and kill him instantly (unless the two handlers have worked it out previously). Each person decides their own level of damage or when they die.

Having stated the above two rules, if you get shot in the head by Al Capone, you are obviously badly injured. Whether or not there is a damage meeter that everyone will have (like in Street Fighter, Mortal Combat, Tekken) that's fine with me, we can discuss it in OOC

You can play neutral characters that are off limits from taking fire, however you must state why your character is neutral in the battle. For instance, I'm House, I'm neutral because I'm a doctor and I will tend to the wounded on the playing field, repairing their health. If you'd like to do something comical like hand out water in little cups like in a marathon, then you can declare yourself neutral. Neutral characters, while they cannot be attacked, can participate in attacks to tip the scales one way or the other, however do not pick favorites for too long. If a neutral attacks someone more than three seperate times, that other character has the right to retaliate.

If there is a Mage present in the game he/she can resurrect dead characters but the dead are far weaker than they were during thier previous life.

If you chose a character from a team or particular movievers, bookverse, TVverse, gameverse, you have dibs on other characters from their world to call on as allies or to have battles with. For example, I'm Dr. House, I can use Cameron, Chase, and Kutner. If you are Bart Simpson, you can use Homer, Mr. Burns, Principal Skinner, etc. If you are Star Fox you can use Star Wolf, Falco, Peppy, etc. You can control other characters from that world so long as they aren't already claimed. If you'd like to claim someone that's already been used via another character, work it out with them.

If someone has John McClain, they have the right to also use Bruce Willis as a seperate person, same for Samuel L. Jackson and Mace Windu, etc. If you have the actor/actress, you can use all their personalities.

Please be familiar with the character(s) you use. I'd love to play as the vampire Lestat, but as I'm only partially done with Interview with the Vampire and haven't even touched the later chronicles, I shouldn't use him.

Forming alliances is acceptable, even encouraged.

You are welcomed to play more than one character from the same story line or other story lines.

Before executing a sexual act upon an opponent you must contact the recipient ahead of time to be sure that it isn't unwelcomed by the handler and that that it doesn't violate their turn-offs.

Would anyone who has posted already, or anyone new, be opposed to in addition to picking who you have in mind, also pick a character who is well known? I don't want to come across as dumb but truthfully the only name someone else came up with that I am familiar with is Master Cheif. Would anyone mind also playing as, i dunno, Mario, Batman, Sherlock Holmes, Brett Favre, Jean Grey, Zelda, Captain Picard, Yoshi?

I don't wanna say that obscure characters (or characters that I just haven't heard of because I live under a rock  ;D ) aren't allowed because I would be a doosh if I did that, but at the same time when I thought up the game I never imagined there would be so many characters I was unfamiliar with. I've read up on these characters and they sound badass, don't get me wrong, it's just that my brain child is steering a little farther off the grid of familiarity than I expected.

No objection from me. It'd be up to you guys to work it out who writes for who when the game gets up and running. First person to claim a character does have dibs on using anyone from that world, however a second person can claim someone else from that world who has not been previously claimed or written for already. If they've been claimed or used as an extra only then would I suggest you really have to ask for permission. Make sense?

You do have a point. Anyone want to take a vote? I'm open to ideas. However my original intent is that this would be a free-for-all battle where anything under the sun goes really. It's only fair that if a char hasn't been chosen by name he/she/it is still available right? If you'd like, you could start an FR game of your own, correct? But in your favor, I did say that whoever you claim you could keep. If you want, go ahead and put a post with every single FR name in it. Then it's all yours  :D

I either want Sir Ian McKellen (Gandalf, Magneto etc.), Deadpool, Negi Springfield or The Maxx, with Deadpool (comics version. I don't need access to Van Wilder or the guy in Definitely, Maybe) as my preference.

Two questions: First, when you say they can use any character from their career, do you mean ANY character, even if they were only minor, one time characters? Because if so, Ian gets The Simpsons and Deadpool gets about half of the whole Marvel Universe.

Yes you can, unless they've been claimed already. Also if you don't claim them by name here on this or the OOC board (still to come) and haven't written them into the game (when I finally get it started  :P ) then they are still up for grabs by other players.

Yes. Were you to do that however, I would in turn pose 2 questions to you:

A. Which version of 'God' are you referring? He's been on Family Guy, South Park, the Simpsons, etc. Might be best to pick only one---and also keep in mind that even if he's 'God' for the sake of our game he is not invincible nor can He kill any easier than anyone else (unless you arrange it with the player in advance)

B. Can you write equally for all of those characters? If you are claiming them primary characters you'll need to put them to equal use otherwise it's not fair to keep others from using them.

Sorry for the delays guys, as this is a game that will involve A LOT of interest I've been putting it on the back burner compared with games I already had going. I'll get up the OOC thread soon and message all of you to see if you're still interested.

I don't think you should be able to claim God without saying exactly where that God is from.

Because there are many other Gods, heck even Allannis Morisette played God once.

Yes. Were you to do that however, I would in turn pose 2 questions to you:

A. Which version of 'God' are you referring? He's been on Family Guy, South Park, the Simpsons, etc. Might be best to pick only one---and also keep in mind that even if he's 'God' for the sake of our game he is not invincible nor can He kill any easier than anyone else (unless you arrange it with the player in advance)

B. Can you write equally for all of those characters? If you are claiming them primary characters you'll need to put them to equal use otherwise it's not fair to keep others from using them.

1. In this case, it would be God as seen on The Simpsons, the only one of those series I've ever seen or heard the real Ian McKellen on. And even with God, I had no intention of God-Moding. "You're all dead now because God says so." What fun would that be?

2. All of them, no. But that was an example. I doubt I would use more than three characters, probably two depending on which I end up on.
But where do you stand on mindless minions?

Minions are perfectly fine. If you play as Sauron and want to throw some Orcs at Laura Croft, go for it. Same for Homer Simpson. He can call upon Bart to help him out, as well as Maggie, Moe, Principal Skinner and so on. But if they are not your primary character, someone else can come along and ask to use them.

If they're going to be used as 'minions' or secondary characters would you mind not claiming them?  :D You can bring them in whenever you want because they are connected to Deadpool, but not claiming them gives other people the option to either claim them or use them as secondary characters as well.

Very true, I was thinking that as I wrote it, but I like to cover all bases in order to avoid being accused of defying my own rules.  :-) But yeah, as far as Bob and Weasel go, I'm pretty sure it's safe to say you've got free reign.

Anyway, since probably no one besides me and jilorbb actually recognizes the picture, you (or whoever GMs) can officially put me down for Gilgamesh from Fate/stay night.  Who is incidentally also a peculiar take on the original Gilgamesh of Mesopotamian myth.

I'm not necessarily averse to other people taking ownership of other Nasuverse characters (since the only thing less likely than any of them helping Gil out is him accepting their help).

Also, I have decided to step down as GM from this one. I will still take part in it as Dr. Gregory House and Goliath from Gargoyles, however I would like to pass on the responsibilities of managing an OOC and IC board to someone else. I would be willing to co-run it, but not fully. Any takers? I'll also message all who posted here later tonight in case anyone has backed out and such and is not reading this any longer.
