Just a couple of notes for the curious:  Goody is short for Goodwife, and was a common term of address for any married or widowed woman.  Women were also addressed as Mistress.  Men were addressed as Goodman or Mister.

Witch was a gender-neutral term at the time, and warlock not generally used, so I've used Witch as the term here.

Well, the rules are very basic, obviously, but strategy is a different thing, and varies pretty wildly.  This early on, pretty much everyone's equally in the dark.

Almost like in the pirate game, we've hit a sort of stalemate -- three against three -- and I know in some rule sets for this type of game, that means the bad guys have won.  But if no one else objects to playing it out to the end (and since that rule wasn't established at the beginning), we can continue on and see exactly what happens.  :)

In general, though, how would people feel about such a rule in future games?  That leans things a bit in favor of the villains, but not unduly so, I think.
