Confusion, or: how can you believe *anything*?

Just to continue on the matter of ritual slaughter: last Friday, the issue was being voted on in our parliament. The vote went in favour of banning this kind of slaughter.

Aaaand... apparently, I was wrong about the concession having been made for our local religious groups. I thoughts Jewish and Muslim communities would exempted from the ban, but they aren't. Polish Chief Rabbi has already voiced a protest.

Damn, it's complicated. From what I've read, this ritual slaughter may really cause excessive pain to the animals. But it does complicate life for people from our religious minorities... Hm.
