Here is a plot idea I have been thinking about for a while.

The Sorceress' Kitchen:

Through a window in a newly opened pub far from the trampling of the common sight seer is a woman that none would call beautiful or ugly. She is average in every sense of the word for a natural born native of the small northern English community. Brown locks of hair that are highlighted with red and blond in the sun, hazel brown eyes, and a pale complexion make up for her small slightly soft frame. She wears simple long dresses with an apron wrapping her hour glass figure. She owns the small inn and pub, working as the cook and can often be found socializing with the patrons that keep coming back.

The secret of  Alyth is that she is centuries old. A sorceress in her own right after the many battles and hard fought years mixed with the changes in customs had all left their marks, but not where the average person would look. For the friendly meek woman is a master in the arts of cuisine, using the herbs and concoctions to weave spells for the taster. She can create any emotion and elicit any behavior with the simplest of combinations of ingredients. Even in this sleepy town, none are the wiser to her using her skills to extract the energies she needs to remain young. She will stay for about twenty or thirty years in one place before moving on to another town to start over.

Her recipes take hold of the eater, they are overcome with pleasure, or happiness, or any other good emotion she wants induce. For only good feelings give her the power to ask for those things she needs to survive. She needs their sexual energies, and she isn't picky about the one offering to give it. Men and women alike had tasted her skillfully crafted food and her skillful touch as a lover. So what if they aged a year over one night with her, the experience was well worth the loss. Surprisingly she isn't dominate in bed as one would think, it was actually easier to extract the necessary energy when the other person was in control of the action and she was in control of the extraction of the little death. Being the proprietor of the Inn helps with the little details of where to express these delicious emotions.

Her most favored recipes are as follows:

For Happiness: Fried Happiness Fishcakes
An appetizer of a Salmon Fishcake over fresh baby spinach and topped with slightly softened asparagus spears. The combination is always one to bring a smile to the most wayward of hearts. The combination of spices in the fish and potato mixture lightened the mood with its crisp nature and the fresh greens and wilted asparagus is refreshing to the palate readying it for the next course. The feeling of peace and contentment make for the end of worries and woes.

For Love: Savory Lover's Shepherd's Pie
A shepherd's pie that is made with lamb and a garlic potato that makes the one eating it relax into a happy, homey state of being that conjures that happiness with whom ever is closest to ones heart. If the two are eating it together there will not be long until wedding bells or at least a night of uninhibited adoration. If only one of the part will eat the favored main dish, Alyth will make sure to serve the dessert to both parties.

For Sex: The Little Chocolate Death
A chocolate cake with truffle cream icing, fresh fig and raw almonds arranged as a garnish and a side of creamy ice cream heavy in vanilla. The combination of the effects of the chocolate mixed with her hidden herbs including something spicy for added heat but barely detectable and the full flavored ice cream bring a state of euphoric delight to the taster that culminates in a desire to fulfill all the inhibited fantasies with the one they loved. Often that love would fall on the cook of these marvelous dishes and she is sore not to accept their favors.

Article from the local Press after tasting the wares:

One is hard pressed to find traditional foods that aren't so generalized that all the flavor is deadened in the reproduction. That can not be said of Witch's Mound Inn & Pub in the north. It is a quaint little place nestled next to the post. Nothing is notable about the place until you eat the food.

Delectable and homey with that touch that seems lost in our fast paced world, the owner and cook creates dishes that speak to the deeper part of our cultural psyche. All local ingredients, all traditional recipes, but crafted better than even Nana makes for Sunday dinner. Though a word of caution; It has been rumored that those that eat the Little Chocolate Death Dessert have an increased incidence of public nudity and increased libido. The owner claims there is nothing to the incidents beyond those having a few too many pints.

(Please PM me if you find the idea tantalizing. This is open for everyone to interact, not just with the owner. And she will need a few people as employees for the inn and pub as she spends a lot of time in the kitchen and in the pub socializing with patrons.)

Mystic Dragon

James DeSay
Sous Chef of the Pub and Apprentice Sorcerer

James looks rather younger than his 18 years, fresh faced and shy on the surface. He's hiding a secret, though- his family has faerie blood in it, and the capricious blessing of it has shown itself in him. Years ago, his parents took him to eat in the pub, and he had recognized the subtle magic being used within, especially when the kindly woman cooking brought him a cake that brought him unending bliss in each bite.

As the years passed, he made friends with the Sorceress and "helped" her make desserts when he wasn't at school. While his parents didn't know what to think of it in the beginning, as his skills grew both in cooking and in magic, they were pleased that he found such an outlet after many years of acting out and not fitting in. Besides, the Sorceress often sent goodies home with him- who in their right mind wouldn't appreciate that?

Fresh out of high school, the Sorceress has hired him as her assistant in the kitchen, and he's enjoying every minute of it.
"Vi Veri Veniversum Vivus Vici"
"In our world, all the Redheads have chainsaws"
"Nightmares never last. One day you wake up and they're gone"

BaronS

Chris Whitfield
Bartender and human

Chris looks like a fairly typical 21 year old, just on six feet tall with a solid build that hasnt yet shifted to make him look overweight or sloppy.  He has dark brown hair that curls thickly on his head and bright blue eyes that always seem wide and friendly, as well as a permanent smile on his face.  Despite this, there are one or two faint lines on his forehead above his eyebrows that attest to his earlier personality and experiences...

After leaving high school Chris had no idea what to do for the rest of his life.  So in the years between school and university he decided to travel, saving nearly all of his pay to fund the trip.  Finally after several months travelling and with almost no money left he found himself nervous and anxious about the future almost to the point of driving himself crazy.  It was this time Chris was travelling in the north of England, eventually stopping at a small country inn.
The woman in charge of the inn said she knew exactly what to get him and served him a fishcake.  After eating it, Chris felt revitalised.  His worries and nervousness seemed almost childish now - looking back he couldnt help but laugh at the way he was.  He felt at ease, happy about himself and his future for the first time in years.  But most of all - he loved this little inn in the middle of nowhere.  He loved it so much that he immediately asked if there was work available - and was stunned when he was given a position as bartender.  That was several months ago now and in that time Chris has seen a lot of strange things...

He doesnt quite understand why so many people who come in angry wind up leaving happy, or why the rooms always seem full of people enjoying each others company.  Thats not to say he doesnt mind it - in fact he's had several encounters with female travellers he will love telling his friends about when he gets home.  He puts it all down to the atmosphere of the inn and the good food, and doesnt really care if theres more to it.

Gone Walkabout.

Will return.

Heather Lockshire
Waitress.

Heather grew up as a typical small-town girl in typical small-town England.  She looks probably 19, she may be a bit younger but definitely not yet 20, with subtle and sultry curves just beginning to fill out her height.  A mop of sultry midnight curls cascade over her back and frame a youthful and freckled face bedecked with a pair of emerald eyes.  She is a bright little ray of sunshine, generally bubbling over with infectious cheer.  Though she is quite bright, her small-town naïveté and desire to believe the best in things makes her seem and airhead at times.

Her biggest dream growing up was to one day leave the town she was born in and travel far away.  The best she’s managed to do is move to the next town over down the road.  Seriously, she told herself, she had meant to keep walking.  There was just something about that house, something big inside that inn that just pulled on her somewhere deep.  She hadn’t been particularly hungry, but the Lady of the establishment had been so nice…  They were the best chips ever.  Perhaps not high praise coming from one of Heather’s experience, but praise nonetheless.  It tasted like she thought dreams should taste…

Whatever happened there, Heather never could convince herself to leave the Inn.  She spends as much time there as she can, never really questioning the odd way people act or the mysterious habits of her employer.  As her mother used to say, "It's just one of things..."

MzNurse

Tessa Williams
Waitress/Barmaid/Bookeeper

Tessa is a fairly pretty girl, looking about 20 with long, loose auburn curls, deep blue eyes, and a sprinkling of freckles over her nose.  Her smile shows of matching dimples and her teeth are clean and even. Looks can be deceiving, though.  Just because the townspeople believe she is yet another stray female drawn to the Inn, she has actually been traveling with Alyth for the past three decades.

In actuality, Tessa is the behind-the-scenes partner for Alyth. Alyth runs the Inn, but Tessa keeps it on an even keel. They've made a good team these past many years, and Tessa is fully devoted to Alyth. Alyth, in turn, rewards her faithfulness well.
