Cold winds breathe again
as the seasons stir
as heat gives way to
falling leaves and
pumpkin spice.

The change is coming
from within my soul
to things once known
and echoes of the
once remembered.

Every chill that brushes,
each sullen winter breath,
fills me with the melancholy
of the days long past
of times best left behind.

Still on the edge of my
thoughts, ever holding there
where only dark awaits,
rests my fading memory
of what used to be you.

XiroSevyn

open the door
open the soul
let in the rain
let in the cold
feel the bitter bite
feel autumn's kick
burn the sage light
burn down the wick

the Equinox is here
the Matron comes tonight

What do we do with a broken spirit?
What do we do with a useless body?
What do we do with a mindless tool?
Early in the morning

Burn her away and scatter the ashes.
Bury her alive in an unmarked grave.
Lock her in a closet and forget the key.
Early in the morning
