Any attempts at peace talks where Jews and Muslims aren't killing each other off in the Holy Land runs counter to this, where the Jews retake the Temple Mount, Jesus comes back, and all remaining non-Christians are forced to convert or perish in hellfire and the evangelicals get to claim Israel for themselves.

I'm not kidding; evangelical support for the Israeli Right is a huge decisive factor in US aid to Israel. Pastor John Hagee's one of the most influential Christian Zionists, and his church creates more funds than Jewish Zionists in the US. The man once infamously claimed that God directed the Nazis to perform the Holocaust to spare European Jews into fleeing to Israel, all part of His plan.

It is fortunate for David Steel, the still living former Liberal leader in Britain, that Brexit has dominated the news so much today. It has been said that he knew of the paedophile sex abuse committed by MP Cyril Smith when he was leader, but took no action about them.
I can't emphasize enough how well known and popular Cyril Smith was in the 1970's, when I was a child. He was a member of a third party, with no position in government, but seemed to be ubiquitous as a larger than life character (literally - he was obese), who would express his distinctly illiberal opinions as proof of his blunt northern "common sense" and appear on all sorts of light entertainment shows.

One thing that lightens the weight of this tragedy, is the fact that world leaders are finally recognizing the act for what it is. It is a terrorist attack regardless of who or what is the perpetrator.

At this point Fox News and its supporters seem to be so departed from the realm of sanity and rational human amotion, I would like to declare them as working in sedition with the Old Gods against all of humanity :P Sanity and Empathy becoming dirty words among some of them.
