Not so long ago, refugees of many races from the corupt lands to the south traveled into the harsh nothern forests of Sandovar and swore fealty to their hero, the human Rodderick the Great.  Now united under the banner of a white pegasus breaking black chains on a blue field, this is a mutlicracial nation 111 years old.

Humanoids raid the northern teritoris with growing boldness, taking steel, women, and wealth, in the name of a new chief...

This is the legnd of Kalto's Horde.

I'm looking to tell at least one Pathfinder adventure story in this setting, and also one or two semi-freeform non-con short stories.

Sheildmaidens: A Level Five Pathfinder Story of Sword, Sorcery, and Sex.

"Oi, yay, oi yay, oi yay!  All good citizens pray attend the procoloations of his Majesty, Rodderick the V.

"It is with solemn gravity that his majesty announces on this, the 15th day of spring in the 17th year of his reign, 111th year since the foundin of our nation, that certain protections in the code of gentleman's warfare, instituted by his father Roderick the Peacemaker, must be repealed.

"As increasing border raids have shown that the savage races cannot behave as gentlemen in war, the following proclomations of Roderick the Peacemaker are heareby null and void.

"The proclomation extending the code of genteel conduct in war to the warriros of the savage races is hereby striken.

"The proclemation extending the protection of genteel treatment to the fair sex captured in war to the savage races is hereby striken.

"However, the proclomation extending the protection of humane treatment to children between their naming and their coming of age to children of the savage races is not stricken.  Nor is this nations traditional ban on enslaving prisoners of war, even of the savage races.

"Further, it is with great solemnity, that his majesty reinstitutes the bounty upon the scalps of warriors of the savage races institutded by his grandfather, Rodderick the Conquerer, and only that upon the scalps of warriors.

"Finaly, as the savage races have proved unable to behave in a gentlemanly fashion towards his citizents of the fair sex, his majesty offers the following rewards for the rescue of his people from the savages.  For the return of a daughter of the nobility to her father's house, the crown will pay twice her ransome value in gentlemanly warfare.  For the return of a daughter of common blood to her father's house, he will pay the heroes the value of her dowry."

The word went out on that day in the City and the Seven Towns.  Over the next week it spread by official courier to the villages and hamlets, mines and elvenwoods and loyal nomads.

By the 25th of spring, fighting men and women were forming up into small bands to protect their nations borders for glory and gold.

In Harold's Shire, at the inn known as Easing the Badger, a band of shieldmaidens and adventerous men met to form a company.

This is there story.

What will the game entail and how many players are you looking for? This caught my interest

Solstice

Rar, posting indicative of interest, though I s'pose I somewhat echo Hyena's questions.
Apoloies & Absences - Updated 11/16/2014 - Around and available? Hopefully?

Muse

If you two play, I'm good for 2 more.

I'm hoping for a long lasting story with a good mix of heroines beating down the minions of the evil overlord and heroines defeated, ravished, and then escaping and taking their vengeance.

Oh, and the first plot:

An interfaith convent/library has fallen to gnolls who carried the resident priestesses back to their encampment for, as Gilbert and Sulivan would say, matrimonial purposes.

The heroines not captured therein must rescue them.

Laughing Hyena

You know! For Kids! ;D

Anyway it sounds pretty straightforward doesn't it? Some good stuff and good fun. So long as one has the dedication, then they have me all the way through.

Hiya

This one piqued my interest. I am very much into the concept, and I love pathfinder as a system.

What would be required to join as far as post lenght and time between posts?

I am pretty new to Elliquiy, and have not done a group RP in this way before, but I've played PnP rpgs for many years now, so I might need some explaining of how it works, but once we get going I should have no trouble playing a character.

Well Eshva in game a basic format of a post is for the ic happening to be posted first followed by a line break and then the mechanical aspects of the post if any. (That being done with the ["hr"] command. Remove the quotations and you get a link break.

Example of a post.

Gra'ak the half ogre knight takes hold of his claymore and blocks with his shield to avoid the trolls deadly maw before making him pay for the endeavors with a slam of his shield which vibrated slightly from the impact with a hard ringing. The head rattled the troll failed to notice Gra'ak's longsword coming for the neck which lopped the head clean off as the troll fell back upon the ground. The trolls head rolled about slowly before coming to a stop spilling putrid blood upon the stone floor. With a flick of his blade he scattered the blood from his weapon and made ready for the coup de grace for he knew from experience that trolls heal rapidly and a simple beheading was not enough to finish the job. For the troll was once again rising to his feet headless.

Gra'ak makes Two Attacks on his turn.

First Attack: 9+9 = 18
Result: 18 vs 16 = Hit

Second Attack: 14+9 = 23
Result: 23 vs 16 = Hit

Attack Roll Witness: http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2859316/

First Damage: 4+4 = 8
Second Damage: 8+4 = 12

Total Damage: 20

Eshva

Thanks for the detailed explanation :)

It doesn't seem so tricky at all now that I know how.

Will the game be played on certain nights with quick posts from the players or do we just post in turn as we go along.

If one player is unable to post for a day or two in the middle of a combat, will the game be held up until he/she can take his turn? and how would that be viewed by the other players?

I imagine I'll be able to post on most days, but I also want to know that I will be able to keep up a pace that is agreeable with the other players before I sign up.

Other than that I look forward to trying this :)

Well Muse what would you say to that query? In the middle of combat I would consider the idea of not waiting after a certain time period to make sure the game doesn't lock up and die. And the game is played everynight though with the forums the pacing is technically slower but it is giving you the benefit of longer thought into your actions.

Muse

Good morning, Chloe, and pleased to meet you Eshva.  I'd love to have you both.

Chloe, I love your inspirational pictures, and the concept implied is very nice.

Eshva, idealy everyone will post every other day.  I sometimes get together with folks on Yahoo Messenger to facilitate things, but that's not required.

I prefer to that we write in third person limited omniscient, but I'm more concerned with each post saying what it wants to say in a pleasing fashion that with it being more or less than 15 lines.

Eshva

Cool

I can post at least once per day, but there might be some days where something unexpected happens. Every other day should be no problem at all.

I am definetely in :)

I am thinking a druidess or priestess. Is there anything I should be aware of before making a character concept, or is it pretty open within the context of the pathfinder system.

What level should should we be?
