Looking for others interested in either a system based fantasy rp using the BoEF from DnD 3.5, or for more general long term fantasy rp threads. If anyone knows of other groups that are willing to take on another, please comment or send me a message.

Thanks, look forward to hearing from you.  :-*

I'm more of a general fantasy person  :-) but im interested so send me a PM when it's done and i'll take a look.

avorae

I would be interested in a game involving the BOEF.
Life is a hard game but the rewards are sweet if you know where to look.

Dracoat

Specify please on what type of fantasy? Like Elves and Orcs? or Angels and demons? Because people's ideas of fantasy differ! Just letting my interest be known.

Also interested in BoEF, but do you mean using it or playing classes from it or both?

Also, how much NC would there be?  It's a bit of a sensitive area with me...

Mystic Mika

Well, from my experience (limited though it may be) elves and orcs and angels(Celestials) and demons do not have to be exclusive, but aside from that I am still working out the details.  I am relatively new here so I am still figuring things out, and with that in mind, aside from playing, i was hoping that maybe some generous benefactor on the site could give me a hand setting things up. Most of my experience has all been OTB and not really online.

Keelan, both, and as far as nc goes, if that isn't for you, then it won't happen to you, i will make sure of that. ;D

Cool with the classes, though I hardly ever play magic classes (which is what most are in there, but I may prestige into something if it's a high enough level game :P), and regarding NC material: as long as it doesn't happen to me, I'll be fine (in other words, if someone else wants it, I'm fine; it's when it happens to my character that it's a problem)

Hoping this game gets off the ground soon.  Any ideas already for character creation (should this swing in the direction of BoEF)?

Mystic Mika

I should also specify that if I can work through all of this, I will be trying to keep explicit viloence (excessive blood, gore, rape) to a minimum, if at all.  You swing a club and it drops a goblin then the goblin drops, I won't spend an entire post watching its head split into a million little pieces.

Mystic Mika

Well, what i am hoping is that people use all of the material available to them, it does not specifically have to be related to the BoEF. Just realize that we will be adding those feats, skills, classes, spells, and the Appearance attribute to it so that we can draw from that book. In other words, telling a great story, without anything being held back. I t adds alot of spice I think.

Ok, I may have to resign my interest in this one, cause it seems I'm getting lost in the acronyms, which is never a good thing. I've played DnD online for a bit, play WoW more though, but was always interested. Seems you want experienced DnD personnel for this one. Good luck!

Sorry if that intimidated you, I really assure you that it wasn't my intent. I just hate spelling things out all of the time.
I don't really think that you have to be thouroughly experienced to take part, lord knows I am not (well online at least) so it wouldn't be a problem, in fact, I find those that don't often play can create some really intersting situations.

Just as a note, the addition of the Appearance attribute was something about the Book of Erotic Fantasy that was pretty much universally panned as being unnecessary and badly-implemented. ^^; For the classes, feats and items that use it, you can replace it with another appropriate attribute and they'll still work perfectly fine.

Mystic Mika

Alright, that is the kind of input i was looking for. I can imagine how it would slow things down with uneccesary complications. Thank you. ;D

This concept sounds interesting. I'm quite familiar with 3.5 (have DMed it) and passingly familiar with BoEF, though I likely would use 'regular' feats and classes for my character.

Agreed about Appearance. (Fortunately, if we do end up using it but I'm not using BoEF feats or classes, it won't matter too much anyway).

btw Mika if you don't already have a different or custom campaign setting in mind, I vote for Forgotten Realms- there is tons of reference material that's useful when thinking of backgrounds for the characters (place they are from, deities they worship)

Marie Reynolds

Hmm this would be quite interesting to me and it would be an easy fix to replace charisma with  appearance for the sake of  BOEF for feats.Forgotten realms is cool or Dragonlance would be awesome but im cool with whatever.

Chloe Milev

I'm always up for more erotic fantasy RPG, if more is okay.  Forgotten Realms does have a lot of background to connect you to the world, and if you don't know anything about it, you can just make it up, and it will probably fit somehow; it's fantasy.

Keelan

I also recommend Forgotten Realms. I would rather like making a character in that setting.

Robyn Hood

I would like to try an erotic fantasy rp, but I'm not familiar with the system. Also, I am interested in some NC so would this game include that?

Rune

I would be interested in joining. Let me know if this gets off the ground!

BenedictWolfe

If this ends up a Forgotten Realms 3.5 game, I'll be totally up for it.... Well, I'd have to know what the restrictions were, of course.

Silverfyre

I'm more than willing to be on board for this.  I've run a BoEF game before and would love to play in one.  I've been doing DnD for a long time now and would love to join.

Keep us posted!

Marie Reynolds

So it seems  we have the interest so who would want to run the game?

Ixy

Forgotten Realms 3.5 sounds cool, with maybe a couple tweaks?  I'd propose house-ruling to incorporate some feats and abilities from BoEF without suffering the characters by taking away crucial feat and ability slots.

I'm really thinking about this one.  I'm thinking about running it, but it would have to be under some conditions.  No promises :)

Would players be able to access a 100 word minimum for each post?  Fill out a character application?   I'd probably prefer to homebrew the setting, too...

I'd prefer to be able to play, I think, but I think I'm about ready to try running again.

Chloe Milev

I'm good with homebrewed tweaks and applications.  100 words isn't too hard a goal for a post.  Sometimes, though, all you can do is react to subtle changes like, "Oh, there's nothing behind the door?  Then I walk in.  What's there?"
Ons and Offs

FFXIV Sargatanas

Ixy

I'm sure there's still room at this point.  And I'd like to add a couple of stipulations:
1) This won't be a 'taking all comers' game.  Here at Elliquiy, we don't exclude anyone for being different, but I'd rather be choosy about picking people with similar play styles.
2) Chloe-- true, but I expect those moments to be less common.  I don't expect people to just fill their post with verbiage, but I hope they'd see every post as an opportunity to enhance the game through some detailed description or internal monologue.  In some cases, 100 words would be utterly superfluous, but I'd like that to be the basic guideline... maybe between 50-100 is more reasonable, but it's still not huge.

This is kind of important for me... Some people feel self-conscious writing a great deal of sensory detail about their character.  It's as if they believe self-description is narcissistic.  Ordinarily, I'm sure it might seem that way, but I hope that we can suspend that attitude for this game-- at least for now.  I'd prefer the players to approach each scene as their opportunity to contribute to a vivid scene, and to assume that, yes, people -are- paying attention, maybe even studying, your character.

Or perhaps a mage who has been cursed with a belt of feminity.

Or maybe just a female sorceress who is is down on her luck.

Ixy

Okay then... I'm looking for 3-6 players who are willing to write characters with unique, well-developed personalities.

If you're interested in playing, please read the background below and post the following:

Name:
Concept in a sentence:
Brief background (or more, if you like):
Personality and Description:
Portrait: (please edit/resize to about 200 pixels tall.  For ambiance, please refrain from anime pics.  Stuck?  Try drakonis)

Background and character build rules:
Setting: Please decide how your character came to be in New Hadrius-- a colony of Hadrius in the recently discovered Smoke Lands continent.  Your character will be in the colony's city of Fort Quinza.  The nation of Hadrius is in a tenuous stalemate with its rivals for the resources in this 'new world,' but so far the pickings are slim.

The intrepid explorers who first managed to find a route across the storm-prone, kraken-filled, and huge Quazo ocean to New Hadrius found that the coasts of "The Smoke Lands" were impossible to land; its coast seemed uniformly composed of constantly shifting volcanic rock, the evaporation bringing constant rain, the fissures spewing sulfurous smoke, and the porous black cliffs bubbling and crumbling as fast as they formed.  But other undersea islands provided stepping stones, and although the total trip is a total of about 5,000 miles across the ocean from Hadrius, enough islands have been populated and subjugated en route to make colonization feasible.

One hundred years ago, an intrepid explorer named Quinza set out from the Hadrius colony of Gomma and sailed the coast south with three ships-- after two ships were lost (one smashed on the rocks, one incinerated by ignited volcanic gasses), the crew managed to reach inhabitable land and, finally, plant the flag of Hadrius on the black sands of this land.  Thick with swamps and marshes, riddled with emerged sea-caves and tar-pits, the land is home to volcanic hot springs, inland lakes, and tropical jungles.  It is hot there all year, the storm season has seen up to three hurricanes a year, and the land is much too harsh for many breeds of livestock.... but in this age of tenuous empires, Fort Quinza is a gem; strategically located on the rim of a cape, this fort enables utter control of the inland salt-water rivers that, one day, may be the main shipping line for resources claimed in this wild land.

Currently, there is little industry in Quinza.  Oil is processed and shipped from there, but at the cost, this flammable pitch is barely worth investing in.  Exotic birds fetch a great deal of fashionable interest, as do the pelts of jungle mammals and reptiles.  The black sand, strange shells, and obsidian of its beaches makes for curiosities for wealthy main-landers.  Rice plantations exist near the rare freshwater lakes.  The ports are solid enough for fishermen.  But the most attention comes from a single diamond mine-- surely, with all the volcanic activity there must be more, and every gem mined is shipped back to Hadrius for a dangerous route fraught with piracy and natural danger. Settlers have been rumored to disappear without a trace, as if the jungle itself had swallowed them.  Living and dead samples of primitive native species have been recovered; these include: kobolds, goblins, trolls, jungle giants, and a halfling tribe calling itself the 'Kik-Tez'.  So far, no unified contingent of these latter have been found, with only a few 'Kik-Tez' who seem more fascinated by their captors' study than upset at having been taken from their people.  Explorers have reported seeing elves, halflings, and giants in the jungle, but these claims remain to be proven.

Your character lives or near the small city.  You might be a slave, a missionary, a mercenary, a hired thug, an explorer, a recluse, a convict, a reluctant son or daughter, a desperate business owner, a royal dispatch, or even one of the rare natives.

Starting level: 3, 24 point buy.  You can take a LA-1 character at a 20 point buy with approval.

Starting gold: 3000, with no more than 2 magic items per person.

Magic items house-rule: No wands, and any item must have a back-story explaining how your character came to possess it.

Classes allowed: Core classes, BoEF or GUCK, or Pathfinder classes... others by select approval.  If you want to be almost assured approval, provide me a link to the rule in an SRD.

Deities allowed: Any, with approval.  We'll make it up as we go if you can't find one that suits.

BoEF and GUCK: You may start with Four skill points and two feats from these works for free.  You receive 2 more skill points and one free bonus feat from them each level.  If you don't care for these books and don't plan on using those stats, you are not obligated to choose these skills or feats, and we'll try to provide them for you if the need should arise (which it probably won't).

Appearance:  We're not using the Appearance score feature, but you get some appearance buffs for free.  Please carefully describe how your character looks and bear in mind that, depending on the circumstances, you may receive a bonus to Intimidate, Bluff, Gather Information, Diplomacy, Hide, or Seduction.  You can choose to be more than one with less buff-- maybe you're 'sort of sexy', 'moderately plain, 'sort of scary', 'quite regal'...  Appearance isn't really that important anyway, I assure you, but bear in mind, being extremely attractive might bring you unwanted attention, too ;)

The plot will involve sexual elements, so if you see how something's going and you don't like it, let me know.

Skills houserule 1: Pathfinder got it better than 3.5... if you are 'trained' in a skill (meaning you have any rank in it), you get a +2 bonus on it immediately.

Skills houserule 2: Another blessing from Pathfinder-- Move Silently and Hide are now 1 skill: Stealth.

That's all I can think of so far... ask away, criticize away, or say what you like, because we're getting started between Wednesday, 8/11 and Friday, 8/13, depending on the pace and quality of replies.

I definitely want in on  this, but work has me on call til Monday.  If I can reserve a spot, I promise to have that character synopsis posted by Monday evening.

Thanks! I'm really excited about this game possibility.

Chloe Milev

So, are we actually using Pathfinder, or 3.5 with some Pathfinder inspiration?  Because trained class skills get a +3 bonus, and there are several more skills that were streamlined/combined:  Acrobatics, Perception, Spellcraft, Lingustics, etc...

Anyway, my first thought is a Paladin who will enter the Dominatrix class from BoEF.  Be a good industrious worker, or I'll MAKE you...

Perception is far better than Listen, Spot, and Search.  Linguistics kind of goes without saying... I'll listen to cases for the other ones.

Rune

Great, now you guys are making me want to get a copy of BoEF!

Is it worth the money to get the pdf?

Chloe Milev

I don't know, I'm a Buccaneer-American when it comes to the BoEF...

I very much like using all of Pathfinder, not just some elements.  Here are changes to skills, with the Pathfinder skill, and the 3.5 skills put into it.

Acrobatics:  Balance, Tumble, Jump
Diplomacy:  Diplomacy, Gather information
Disable Device:  Disable device, Open lock
Fly:  New skill, make checks for maneuverability, like Swimming in rough waters.
Linguistics:  Decipher script, Forgery, Speak language
Perception:  Listen, Search, Spot (and opens it up to other senses like touch, taste, and smell)
Spellcraft:  Spellcraft, Concentration (at least for casting defensively), crafting most magic items
Stealth:  Hide, Move silently
No more Use Rope, because really, Use Rope?

Also, all skills cost one skill point, whether they're a class skill or not.  If they're in your class, then you get a +3 bonus for training it.  Since there's no extra cost, you don't get quadruple points at first level, your max ranks equals your level/HD.  (Because of this, translating a 3.5 prestige class usually means lowering the skill rank prerequisite from 8 to 5, or something like that.)  And your favored class can either get +1 HP or +1 skill point per level.

Hmmm, Paladin dominatrix sounds fun, but some ranger-type good with forests and water does seem useful for surviving the colony experience as well.

Hmm, I could totally get into this, though might have to learn a bit about the particular system you're talking about.  I'm knowledgeable with 3.5 core, but some of the expanded rules I never really got around to.  But I'm a quick study.  ^_^

Callie Del Noire

That's the fun part of pathfinder like Chloe pointed out. It's stream lined in areas and added in others. I would LOVE to bring my name sake into a game since Starfox has vanished. :(

Ixy

I'd honestly prefer Pathfinder, if no one objects.  I was just fixated on 3.5 because I thought that was requested.

Silverfyre

A quick question regarding the freebies from the BoEF and GUCK you are handing out: With the free skill points, do you mean we would be considered "trained" in the skill via the Pathfinder rules or are we using the old skill system from 3.5?

Ixy

We'll go with Pathfinder rules entirely for skills; if you train in a skill, you get the bonus to skill-related checks once at the beginning.  After that, each additional rank adds up normally.
______________________
The big print giveth, the small print taketh away.

Silverfyre

Since it's been a while since I've done Pathfinder, let me make sure I'm getting this down right.

Say I'm trained in Stealth.  This will give me a bonus on said skill and when I gain an additional rank, it will add a plus one to this skill, yes?  I just want to make sure I have my sheet done correctly.

Ixy

That's right... if you had a dex-based hide or sneak test, and you have 1 rank of stealth, then you roll 1d20+dex bonus+1 rank +3 for being trained.  It sounds more complicated than it is.  :)  This way, being trained enough to 'have' that skill, is basically a +4 to your regular check, rather than +1... this makes sense if you think about it, because a level 1 character can only have a max of 1 per skill.  That character deserves, at least, a chance at succeeding on higher dc rolls.

Silverfyre

Silverfyre's character:

Name: Almarath "Al" Crownsilver

Concept in a sentence: Elven rogue seeking out a new existence after being exiled from homeland; ex-Guild thief.

Brief background (or more, if you like): Almarath grew up in the sprawling urban metropolis of Denas.  The city hugs the coastal region of the mainland, a thriving mercantile port city that is ruled by the whims of the rich and the opportunistic.  Abandoned by his elven parents to an orphanage (they had enough mouths to feed), Al grew up among other "unwanted": half orcs, the youngest children of large families, the destitute sailors who wandered the streets looking for work, and other criminal elements.  He was given no quarter nor did he expect any.  Mercy would get you killed on the streets and as soon as he was old enough to leave the orphanage, he sought out an existence with the darker aspects of society.  Al fell in with the local thieves guild, becoming a pickpocket and burglar.  His natural affinity for dexterity and his keen mind made him a prized member of the guild and as he continued to go up the ranks, he soon became a lieutenant in the organization, under the halfling crime boss, Justine.  Al soon became her most prized tool, her personal pet assassin.  Some whispered the two were sharing a bed but neither was speaking on the subject.  Power and wealth soon came to the elf and for the first time in his long but shallow life, he had a feeling of belonging and a sense of being important. But, all of that soon changed as two of the lieutenants made a bid for power.

Justine was killed and Al barely escaped the city with his life.  The guild exiled him and the elf had no choice but to flee to distant shores, beyond the reach of the guild and away from the destruction of his former life.  His passage on the last boat out of Denas brought him to the shores of the Smoke Lands and Fort Quinza.  He has settled here in the small city over the last year and is now seeking out other tides of income, outside of his usual territories.

Al has some influence amongst the criminal elements of Ft. Quinza, especially with the "ladies of the night' and even patronizes some of them frequently, as both a customer and some might say their "keeper".

Personality and Description:
Al could be considered handsome by some, more probable due to his elven blood and less of a conscious decision.  His features retain their youthfulness, giving him a boyish quality but there is a bit of a rough, weathered appearance to him, cut from a long existence as a creature of the urban environment.  He stands just under six feet tall and is lithe and wiry in build, a figure forged by decades of stalking from the shadows and lurking in dark alleyways.  His light green eyes are often squinted in the harsh sunlight of the tropical lands, his face often carrying a scowl.  A thin scar covers his left cheek and his long, deft hands are crisscrossed with the assorted, acquired nicks and scraps of a life lived hard, the life of a rogue.  His blonde hair is shoulder length and is often pulled away from his face by a simple leather band.  He dresses plainly in dark leathers or a chain shirt, favoring utilitarian clothing over high fashion.  A blade is always kept at hand.

Al's personality is much like his demeanor: rough, calloused, and at points, downright mean.  This is not to say that he is social inept, but rather quite the opposite.  He has something of a reputation as a lady's man but only among a select few does he show his finer side.  A lifetime spent among the rougher elements of the world has created a diamond hard exterior but to those loyal few he calls friends, and to the fairer sex, he can stern but friendly enough to not instinctively reach for a dagger.

Portrait: (please edit/resize to about 200 pixels tall.  For ambiance, please refrain from anime pics.  Stuck?  Try drakonis) Linky: http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e105/DjSlayer/elf_by_sandara.jpg

Please do-- I've received only one character summary so far, and it's a good one.  I don't believe in 'take all comers'; I prefer to pick a small group with styles and characters that interact well.

My initial timeline included starting today or tomorrow, but I don't think that will quite happen yet :)  If others still want to play in a game I run, see the background post earlier and the creation app/guidelines.  Plenty of time!  I'll probably update the recruitment thread with a more accurate subject and a more concise synopsis later.

Though I didn't make this 100% clear before, I'd like us to use Paizo's material from d20pfsrd.com as our core rules because it's good and it's free.  For any other resources, feel free to ask-- we're giving away free skill ranks and feats from GUCK and BoeF for this too, especially those that are game broadening rather than game enhancing-- meaning I'll be a little tougher on free meta-magic than on 'non-combat smexiness'.

Oh, and-- I know I've said this in other threads, but please consider finding a character avatar from Drakonis's Fantasy Avatar gallery.  You  can find it by googling Drakonis.  If you find one you like, PM me the link or label.  Thanks!

Starfall Smiting Prince

Name: Gorrath of clan Thunderbird
Concept in a sentence:Human Barbarian , Avenger of his tribe.
Brief background (or more, if you like):
Gorrath was born among the clansmen of Thunderbird,a barbarian tribe living far off from most civilization. There he and his clans fought goblinoids creatures to take over their lands. In a fight for supremacy where only the toughest and strongest survive. Gorrath proved to be the man for such a thing, raging like a beast and fighting like a ox among them. One night tho, as he was celebrating a victory with his tribesmen. A cold wave rushed through the tavern. Gorrath took his weapons and whoever among his men weren't too drunk to fight.

An ogre mage was leading the assault, the beast would not fell under the assault of the barbarian. As if his wounds were always closing from the hits of Gorrath. The goblins and bugbears were setting the village on fire and raiding on children and women.  Gorrath ran to the treasure room and took the greataxe known as Talon of the Thunderbird then while being pursue by the Ogre mage jumped from the hills to the nearest river.

There he swam down the river to the falls, while a rain of arrows came down from the sky and one of them landed on his shoulder, this didn't stop Gorrath from running and knocking his head against a rock.  Guess this night the gods didn't want him to fell, as Gorrath woke up on the shores with some blood coming down his forehead.

He walked for what seemed an eternity in the woods, some wild animals tried to stop him but he slashed through every single ones of them. Until he found a caravan under attacks by goblins and an orc at the lead. Gorrath with blind fury stormed at them and slashed through every single ones of them. The people in the caravan thanked him and offered him to take him to the nearest fort.

Gorrath followed them too tired to resume his journey alone. There at the fort Quinza, Gorrath found work as a hunter by bringing them exotic birds and other kind of animals.

Personality and Description: Gorrath stands 6'6 and appears to be heavily muscular, mostly covering himself in armor and using a very well made greataxe, people told him the axe was magic but this didn't surprise him. It was the talon of the Thunderbird after all. Gorrath doesn't talk much, preferring to act instead of debating of what has to be done and just do what has to be done. Underneath the helm, the barbarian has a forming beard but looking at his face, you could tell that Gorrath wasn't older than twenty six or seven years old yet all the scars and his battle hardened visage tells of a life of violence and Warfare. He is a glutton when it comes to food, ale and women as he never seems to get enough of them.

Gorrath is always looking for new places to explore and new challenges to take, from what he understood, they had a god that did that, Kord and while he still respect the symbol of his tribe. Gorrath saw that Kord actually listened to the prayers of his worshiper and has began his conversion toward learning about the god of strength and courage.

Prudence, justice, temperance, courage, faith, hope, love...
debate any other aspect of my faith these are the heavenly virtues. this flawed mortal is going to try to adhere to them.

Culture: the ability to carve an intricate and beautiful bowl from the skull of a fallen enemy.
Civilization: the ability to put that psycho in prision for killing people.

Chloe Milev

Name:  Aeran
Concept in a sentence:  Grappling dominatrix
Brief background:  From an ancient amphibious human race, she has left her society to explore the world.  She joined on with work ships headed to New Hadrius as her amphibious nature would make her a very valuable worker and scout.  Her strong, lawful nature saw her rise to a supervisor position very quickly in the company.
Personality and Description:  Aventi culture is very regimented and devout, and even rebels and adventurers are organized and methodical.  She grew up training in a monastery, but didn't have the insight to excel.  She mostly enjoyed her lessons in punching and choking people, and continues to perfect her skills in those areas.
Portrait:

Appearance:  Aeran is tall, statuesque, and a bit scary.  A strong, tough woman, she can play the dominatrix part well, but her long flowing hair and very round curves also show a softer side.  Coming from a very regimented and devout society, she's not a natural liar; her face often gives her away.  And with a figure like hers, it's sometimes difficult to go about unnoticed.

I finally hit on a concept, a mechanical bard... kinda a life size marionette who changes parts to change roles in an acting troupe...
Living construct of course...
how would that fare?

Laughing Hyena

Name: Davor Turvok

Concept in a sentence: A half orc runt that lack physical strength but harbors a rare power amongst his kind.

Brief background (or more, if you like): Davor was unfortunate through out much of his life, which began even when he was born. For unlike many of his fellow half orc he did not have the kind of intense physical stature that was so familiar with half orcs, robbing him of one of the few advantages they had. He was a runt, born puny and with weak muscles, ill suited for the rough life ahead of him. His mother was a victim of intense rape from a war band of orcs. Perhaps she never could love him as a son, for he looked like the dreaded war band that took her body as a toy. He grew in a orphanage of Pelor and was quickly forgotten about.

Whilst most half orcs had the luxury of being big, strong and very intimidating, Davor had nothing of the sorts and as such was the victim of many pranks from the bigger children due to his mixed blood. Many a night he kept wishing for anything to help him with such dark times. Perhaps it was not by coincidence that as he grew his jaw grew straight and whilst his teeth were mostly fangs, his skin smoothed to a hue of white and his eyes had a tint of emerald to those green pupils, a lasting gift from his mother. He had become quite decent looking though it didn't stop the teasings it made it slightly more bearable that a few glances from the girls came his way from the budding growth.

All the same his true nature would manifest itself when at age fourteen he had tried to woo a young girl who sang at the choir and for the moment all seemed well until her secret admirer was discovered to be a half orc and the children were quite merciless towards him and the choir girl. Seeing this he tried to intervene and recieved a bare fisted beatdown for his trouble. The boys were intent on taking a bit more from the choir girl in the form of her body, akin to the orc savages he was heir to. However it was then in Davor's anger that his true powers manifested as a streak of magical energy struck one of tormentors from behind. With that one act of instinct, Davor had saved his crush from being molested, however changed his life forever.

He could have stayed perhaps but that would have been folly, the priests would never have understood how a half orc could have channeled magic. They would have perhaps branded him a warlock or such and tried to kill him. Fearing such a fate he fled with what little possessions and savings he could have made, he struck out on his own. The world didn't seem so scary anymore now that he felt properly armed with his magic. He became an adventurer by need and not by choice for what else could someone like him be good for? He didn't belong but also what good is power if he doesn't use it.

Often he would find himself visiting whore houses and the like of prestige upon the few successful ventures he was on. It was here he would find a better knack for the skills of physical pleasure though for him it was ore of recreation then a sheer want to break into the business. As he grew in power one of his ventures took a surprising turn when he came across a pair of bracers that were of gold with a silver trim and draconic leather. Betting the opposing member of his party whom wanted it that he could pleasure a woman better, was how he came to claim it as his own. But before even that he had to risk life and limb for it having to pelt a lizard man shaman with his magics to prevent him from intervening in the fight to clear out a ruined temple of Pelor.

Along this adventure came a second spoil though this one was a bit more easier to get dibs on for it was a potion that could cure wounds  without the need of a cleric or the like. Which for him could be a lifesaver in of itself. he found it after dealing with a batch of spiders. It was taken with no regrets after coming up with the smart solution to burn the webs' upsetting the spiders and drawing them into the tunnels to choke them and finish them off. It was quite a good day to be the brains of the outfit during this time.

However his tale took a drastic turn when he heard of perhaps untold opportunity and wealth in the tavern rumors of a diamond mind within the recently established city of Quizna. Regardless of rumor or not it was still a budding town and an intrepid adventurer with enough wit and skill as he could probably make a decent fortune there. The lure of fortune and perhaps innocent damsels or not so innocent ones and the potential to reap the good life were what called him forth. His first act once there would be to secure a place for himself and then to investigate a few rumors surrounding this place. People needed things handled and outsiders were a perfect way to manage such a task.

Personality: Davor is jaded during his youth, constantly of the impression that nothing is given to you for free and everything must be earned however you can manage. He is very ruthless with his enemies only staying his hand when they surrender and even then taking no chances. He does nothing to sway others notions that he is a savage beast and play on others fears greatly with harsh orc tongue when he needs to make on cower.

He is very practical in combat often going straight for the kill in most circumstances or allowing others to handle their jobs. Due to his natural profession, death rarely phases him but he has trouble warming up to a person because of it. And also because he is of the mindset people are only looking out for themselves. Despite all this he will go out of his way to help someone whom asks of it should they be sincere. Those who earn his trust find a very stern and loyal ally.

To a lover he is exceedingly gentle especially with his mouth knowing how it can sting a person so well with the mouth of fangs he naturally has. All the same he prefers taking his time and warming a woman up to the point where she writhes with desire seeking his length for that final release. He is also quite careful with a lover making sure that they harbor no surprises for the morning which is why he only pays for the best and reputable concubines and harlots. Few bed with him willingly without the concept of money behind it and he does not force the issue. If one seeks him out he would not turn it away.

Appearance: White skinned which is quite rare amongst half orcs, one could wonder why this was. Truth be told even Davor does not know of this reason and honestly does not care. His teeth are mostly pronounced with fangs only adding to his naturally imposing form. His hair was short and only ends at the start of the neck. Jet black in hue it curled slightly in its natural state. Sharp green eyes with an emerald tint peer out from his face. Often preferring dark robes to help add to such a fearsome manner as well preferring midnight blue.

When one disrobes him one sees the slightly average build he has. Few muscles are developed and he is slightly hairless however he is still thin and limber due to his life as an adventurer. He only stands at five feet, six inches in height however his natural endowments still remain strong for a half orc as his length was seven inches long and two and a half inches wide. Considerably wide for a human though one could argue that most half orcs are bigger in comparison. The hairs are trimmed showing proper hygiene showing more civil nature in this regard then most.

If you need more time, that's okay.  As long as you have a concept and background, you can start 'light' RP.  I don't expect challenges right off the bat :)

Ironwolf85

Name: Vinteomaltio
Concept in a sentence: a living construct based on a life size marionette, formerly an actor now fallen on hard times and is seeking adventure to try and reestablish his fortune.
Brief background (or more, if you like): once a well known actor designed to entertain the southern courts, normal puppets were not going to cut it in a world of magic and wonder. so Vinteo was built from a combination of clockwork and magic to entertain. He could easily slip in and out of roles by just changing parts unfortnately nobility are fickle, and were quickly entertained by somthing else. Vinteo discovered not only was he now unemployed, he also had no money, as it was all given to his acting troupe. the troupe split up, and he found himself going from job to job, and eventually seeking his fortune in the new world. the young idealistic actor finds his current inability to change his body fustrating, other than construct traits he has the same stats as a human, as he was playing a cursed human in the play when the troupe broke up
Personality and Description: intelligent, quick to anylise people, but often expecting things to turn out like a play. He found his possessions sold when the troupe fell on hard times, meaning he was stuck with the modifications he had for his last play, a midsummer night's dream. of course in the decadent southern court that included a bit of pornagraphic stuff too.

I'd be interested in joining, I'm very experienced with 3.5, but have no knowledge of Pathfinder or BoEF, if someone were willing to help me out with a suggest feat or help me convert a D&D character into pathfinder, I'd appreciate it.

Starfall Smiting Prince

everything is literally in the srd but basically what you must know:

skills, some have been combined move silently and hide are stealth for example, no more skills x4 at first level but instead if it is a class skill, you get to add +3 as a class bonus to skill and now skill max = your level. No more extra cost for cross class skills.

A feat every odd level.

Some class features, more appropriate bonuses for races, no more multiclass penalties that what I could think of at the moment, all the rest is pretty similar and some feats and spells have been changed. Essentially check the srd linked above, they have a character creation section in the srd.

Ironwolf85

don't forget my two favorite changes...
Cantrips: weak 0 level spells you never run out of
Combat Manuver Bonus/Defence: gets rid of all those looking up stuff to do fancy stuff like tackle, trip, bull rush, and overrun. just CMB Vs CMD
Prudence, justice, temperance, courage, faith, hope, love...

Wintercat

Greetings and well met, m'lady.

I would like to inquire a few things if you would permit it. I would like to know if that 24 ability point spread is a Pathfinder spread or 3.5 spread. 3.5 I think starts at ability score 8 + the points you have to spread, while Pathfinder starts you off at 10 + the points you have to spread. So the 3.5 already means losing 12 points in getting to the -same- level as Pathfinder starts at. Uhm, not a big matter, since I am thinking of a wizard character and I mainly need 1 big ability, his intellect.. but wanted to ask on it.

I dont mean to be a mechanics jerk who causes trouble or anything of the sort but it concerns me, if I made a Pathfinder character with the Pathfinder ability point-buy and then learned you wanted to have the 3.5 as you originally named... well, I just dont want to cause you a headache with a character you would never feel welcome in a game.

I'll post the character idea below, but a sheet is not yet done.

Name:  Dalon Wind
Concept in a sentence:  Young elven wizard, a young man studying magic, including some of the naughtier aspects in it.
Brief background (or more, if you like):  Dalon is a handsome, lithe elven man with long black hair reaching to the back of his neck. He has deep green eyes and a friendly smile, a smooth silken skin and a look of royalty about him in a strange way, seeming to be blessed with good looks.
He tends to wear dark clothing, he is not by any means a depressed person or such but he finds night to be a beautiful thing and shadows comforting in the heat of the day, a person who appreciates peace and tranquility, which is a bit strange considering he is not against causing some mayhem if he has to.
He has the looks of a charming, friendly man with attractive face, but it makes it hard to take him seriously if he tried to intimidate someone, his face just seems a touch too gentle to take it seriously. At least unless he unleashes some magic to show he is serious.
Personality and Description:   Dalon is usually gentle, friendly person and tends to consider women in particular to be people he should respond to nicely at first. He reacts to people how they react to him however, if someone keeps insulting him he will take a more reserved stance. He will respond to kindness with kindness, usually having polite, gentle mannerism. He is also quick to defend those he considers friends however, by openly using force (of magic) to drive his point home if he has to.
Portrait:

Background and character build rules:  Wizard with points loaded up to improve intelligence, hoping to be allowed to take a few BOEF cantrips a least to his spell list. Likely having spent starting wealth for scrolls to increase his spell library (if allowed?) as these would not be magic items remaining in his possession afterall. If this use of gold for scrolls thaht are already spent to add those spells for his journal is allowed, I would like to take advantage of it and fill his spellbook a bit.
Also, considering the 2 magic items limit and what would be good, and most importantly, fit in with a story for him.
Setting: Dalon arrived into the lands mostly by chance. His mentor had travelled to the city to train young mages in order to protect the town and ensure that there would be some educated with the use of magic. Dalon was requested to arrive to help his old teacher settle down, but on hsi arrival Dalon received grim news.
The old man had passed away with a wasting illness he had suffered for years finally having caught up with the man. Dalon was shocked, he knew the old human hadn't been healthy but Dalon and the mage had known each others for 50 years, and suddenly the old man was dead. To Dalon, it meant a loss of someone very dear, a friend and mentor he had come to honor.
He offered to finish teaching the first young mages in the base basics of the arcane art, planning to leave after that was done, but in the end he ended up quite enchanted by his surroundings, the locals seemed a pleasant gathering in the end. The elven man felt a bit alone with nobody he knew left around anywhere nearby. Even the students his former mentor had left were already almost ready on his arrival and he had mostly just witnessed them complete the necessary trials for a wizard before releasing them.
It was the fact his mentor's library had afforded him to find a bit of different magic that struck him with most curiosity. Spells of mischevious, naughty nature, such as a bit of 'telekinesis' targeted at a female form to caress and brush, with an unseen hand from a distance. Of course, he knew on reading the spell in that little note already that if he were to be caught he'd end up treated just like any other guy appreciating female form so without permission. Most likely less than welcomingly.
I've taken the Oath of The Drake. Remind me of it if you think I act against it.

No worries.  PF is the rule set, and we're just getting some little perks from BoEF or GUCK for free.

lemme see... I got the Savage species book as well...
the races I might pick could be, Gnoll (still have a gnoll bard named Seth he used his natural ability "beast's Lure" to sing in multiple voices), Hobgoblin (could be cool with armor and a crossbow), a couple of anthro's are availible... ooooh the mako shark is within the level limit so are a few big cats.
I can't play any of the little stuff like kobolds or halflings, I like to play the big and strong guys...
