Paradox

John Ronald Reuel Tolkien, hands down.

Plato or Aristotle?

"More than ever, the creation of the ridiculous is almost impossible because of the competition it receives from reality."-Robert A. Baker

Bliss

Aristotle.

Archemides or Euclid?

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

Archemides

Anton Chekhov or Henrik Ibsen?

Bliss

IIbsen. I love to hate his work. :)

Aristophanes or Jonathan Larson?

Paradox

Aristophanes. The work of Greek and Roman dudes give me a mental hard on like no other (except perhaps Dante).

Hell as fiery pit of pain, or the more traditional interpretation of Hell as a barren wasteland of various punishments?

"More than ever, the creation of the ridiculous is almost impossible because of the competition it receives from reality."-Robert A. Baker

The Great Triangle

Barren Wasteland of punishments, mostly (that is totally) other people, and locked from the inside, because for those within, the alternative is worse.

An Eternity of madness, or throwing oneself to oblivion?
Meow!  I'm a kitty; made of fire.

Ons and Offs

Bliss

An eternity of madness. I can deal with insanity, but amnesia... *shudder* It terrifies.

Redbox or netflix?

Netflix, never heard of the other one.

Andrew Lloyd Webber or Stephen Sondheim?

Maeven

Andrew Lloyd Webber - Starlight Express and Phantom were amazing.

George Strait or George Jones?
What a wicked game to play, to make me feel this way.
What a wicked thing to do, to let me dream of you.
What a wicked thing to say, you never felt this way.
What a wicked thing to do, to make me dream of you.

Are you weary about the Phantom sequel in the making?

George Strait.

Samuel L. Jackson or Denzel Washington?

WyldRanger

SAMUEL L!

paper clip or rubber band?

Maeven

Paper clips   They cater to my slight OCD. They look neater and don't make a smaller stack fold into a tube. And I love those clamp things.

Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill's version) or Hans Solo

What a wicked game to play, to make me feel this way.

Luke Skywalker...I always wanted a lightsaber :P

Sunrise or Sunset?

Caity

Sunset

Hard or soft taco?

MusicNeverDies

Soft, I don't like messes.

Peanutbutter or jam?

Le RandomBloke

Peanutbutter (l) I'm addicted to that stuff.

Glasses or Contact lenses?

"Give me all your true hate and I’ll translate it in our bed into never seen passion."

MusicNeverDies

Contact lenses. I am just so used to them now it takes all of 2 seconds to put them in and then not worry about things being out of my vision because they're over my glasses.

Lost or Giligans Island?

The Great Triangle

Gilligan's Island.  Sure, Lost had an incoherent, rambling plot, but Gilligan's Island had the Harlem Globetrotters!  How can you beat the globetrotters?

Chastity belt or total removal of sex drive?
Meow!  I'm a kitty; made of fire.

Chasity belt. I like my sex drive, even if it doesn't get me laid.

Soccer or Rugby?

Maeven

#1696
I'm gonna go with rugby on this because of the St.Patty's weekend Rugby tournament in Savannah. Hot Hot Hot.

An amazing physical relationship, but no emotional connection or an incredible emotional connection with no physical relationship?

EDIT: YES! I am the first post on page 69 of this thread.  That's gotta be a good thing... RIGHT?

I have to take incredible emotional connection with no physical relationship since there are alternatives to the physical stuff, but not have any emotional connection really sucks...

Radio or Television?

MusicNeverDies

Television. I get too easily distracted when I have nothing to look at.

Books that are almost painfully long and descriptive, or short quickie books that have little more then the dialogue and essential descriptions?

Long and descriptive... as long as its engaging.  So often I find myself re-reading passages in a particularly good book when I near the end because I am loathe to finish it.

Speaking of long and descriptive...

Scarlett O'Hara or Melanie Wilkes?
