Girl who pines for her best friend (FxM)

I reeeeeally wanna do this plot because this is based off a true situation in my life. 

A girl has known her male best friend for over a year now and she's been in love with him for a long time.  He doesn't realize how much he hurts her when he is with his 'so-called' girlfriend who is really just a fuck buddy.  Everytime my character sees the girl with him it literally makes her feel nauseous and pained.  As times goes on my character starts distancing herself from him because being around him now just hurts more and more.  He starts noticing she's been acting different and decides to confront her about it.  He soon realizes how he really feels about her too.
