Its strange, I actually live very close to the site of an old Sisters of Mercy Orphanage... my stepfathers mother went there, and her friend wrote a book about the horrid experience. It was only AFTER I read the book that I learned my grandmother with the twisted hands was the one that the Nuns were beating in the book. Was kind of... like whoa.
