This is a second attempt at getting a great RP going. After several people losing interst mid RP, it kinda messed things up. This time I will GM, as the previous GM would simply like to be a player rather than GM and am looking for a co-gm or two.

In short this RP is inspired by the program "Young Justice" the DC universe focused young hero program on Cartoon Network, obviously a more mature take on it. This RP will begin with the founding of the team, first meetings, etc. You dont have to necessarily take a character that is in the cannon roster on the show, but they most certainly wont be turned down.

Here is the Character sheet, players can, for now, have up to two characters, GM's may be subject to other NPC's i.e. JLA members, Villains, etc. All characters must be of legal age [16+] as per Elliquiy Rules
Player:
Name:
Codename:
Age:
Height:
Weight:
Appearance: Image (+optional written description for details not covered in image)

Powers:
Skills:
Equipment:
Weaknesses:
Backstory:

Post the character sheet here and PM me a copy, please.

Those intersted in co-gm should be relatively active, and able to discuss plot details and whatnot behind the scenes. Also be able to help answer player questions, etc.

This RP was looking like it had great potential, andi think withthe right group of people, it can get far.

Eventually he did break away, becoming the solo Hero of Nightwing. Diesel Heart

#2
Player: WardenIce
Name: Veronica Anne Arky
Codename: Anarchy
Age: 19
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 151 lbs.
Appearance:
Standing 5’7’’ tall, for a weight of 151 pounds, this young woman is far from being the average you would walk by on the streets. She sports a short mohawk hairstyle flopped on the left side of her head, which seems to be very uncommon within Millennium City. But don’t let the hairstyle choice fool you, Vivi’s hair are always well taken care of. But other such details reminiscing of the punk genre is spread on her – among those are more notably the piercings on her left brow and her lip piercing. All those details can seem intimidating to an onlooker, but it’s important to note that Veronica is still young, as such; her facial features vibrate with youthfulness. And this girl does wear makeup, but only of a calculated quantity, that being black eye shadow. This is enough to bring out her slightly almond-shaped, pale golden eyes. Are those eyes natural at all, though? Closer examination would suggest that they are…

The rest of her body embodies the expression “Walking art gallery”. Her torso is fully tattooed. All those ink patterns of various designs all seem to be forming a certain form of unity. How it was done so is a mystery… Notable details of her tattoos include a garden of black roses along with skulls amidst the roses. The stem, from which the thorns point in various directions, travel across her torso and tend to have a rose, or skull, sprouting from it. Written in stylized italic letter, “Vivi” is tattooed above her right breast, and the dots of the i’s trail down to her stomach to form the tattoo of a tribal guitar set ablaze, which is interned with the thorned stems of the roses. On her right shoulder… Is this an anarchy symbol branded on her shoulder? No, it’s a tattoo of a branded anarchy symbol, and it looks life like. From it, chains link it to her other shoulder, by travelling up her shoulder, to her collar bones and around her neck before reaching said other shoulder, where a graffiti-like upside-down anarchy symbol lies.

Beyond those tattoos, however, is one of a very athletic woman with notable abs and biceps. She’s obviously somebody who does a lot of physical activities, and it’s paid off in keeping up this athletic musculature. She’s not devoid of curves though. Veronica happens to be on the top-heavy side, even. Though, her wrists have remains of healed burn wounds. However, the latter mentioned being mostly covered by the tattoos. But, those tattoos probably can’t hide away her left wrist that seems slightly deformed, and is most apparent when her wrists are placed one close to the other.

Powers:

 • Adaptive Muscle Memory: Veronica was born with Savant Syndrome which has given her a very potent memory. Due to developments with efforts owed to her friends and allies, she has gained near complete and total control of her ability to recall visual, auditory, tactile, gustatory, olfactory, and other dimensions at-will. Due to it being a passive hyper-sensitive feature to her passionate resolve to train and enhance it to its full capability, it has in turned become a deadly weapon to her to utilize. She has learned to replicate or mimic any observed physical or motor skilled feat, limited to her own level of strength and flexibility, of course.
 • Vril Magic: Veronica is a member of the Vril-Yah race, a secret society otherwise known as "The Coming Race" that were present dating back to the nineteenth century (publically) and flourished within the ranks of the Nazis in World War II. This allows her to access an energy source known as Vril with its only limitation being how powerful her will allows.
 • Enhanced Physical Conditioning: Veronica is very adamant on her physical training regime learned from her mentor. Through intense training and exercise, Veronica represents a very fit young woman. Her physical attributes place her on par and sometimes above Olympic level athletes. Strength, speed, stamina, agility, reflexes and coordination are at impressive capabilities. She is capable of lifting at least double her body weight, equaling roughly to 300 pounds. She also has demonstrated a coordination, reflexes, and perception keen enough (and in part thanks to her other gifts) to perform quite the notable number of tricks and stunts on her motorcycling skills.
 • High Level Intelligence: Veronica is a brilliant strategist and leader and quite the quick learner thanks to her memory. She is often regarded in terms of how quick she is to adapt and perceive things compared to those around her because of this. She commonly utilizes cunning and often deceitful tactics to outwit her opponents. Because of her intelligence and nature of growing up, she has proven to be one of the more resourceful survivalist compared to her peers, and exhibits a keen grasp of mathematics, business management, criminology, engineering, and anatomy.
Skills:

 • Combat Abilities: Veronica learned martial arts from her mentor in her former affiliation. However she has branched out afterward to incorporate a mix of street fighting, Boxing, and Krav Maga in her fighting style. Thanks to her adaptive muscle memory however, she's capable of recalling a practiced or observed technique or move from various other fighting styles where she implements them into a fight. Outside of martial arts, she's demonstrated feats such as an uncanny reflexive sense and keen body language predictability. Her abilities with a firearm are moderately adept, being capable of hitting a target dead on from at least fifty feet with a normal handgun.
 • Skillsets: Given her background, Veronica was exposed to many things of criminal origin and due to her memory she has learned various different things. Be these things self-learned, tutored, or otherwise, Veronica is an accomplished occult investigator and driver. Amongst other notable skills include: Survivalist, Escape Artist, Linguistics, and Engineering.
Equipment:

 • "Rebel" - Veronica's own customized Harley Davidson motorcyle, and something she's worked on for over a year. It's been highly optimized for her crime-fighting patrols, and pushed to the limit upon the Citadel's founding. The first notable thing about the motorcyle is its external design follows the Harley Davidson Travertson V REX model. The vrod motor has been specifically altered to be completely silent and highly efficient. The wide-rimmed all terrain tires accomplished by its cruise control feature allow it to be one smooth ride on the road, but its capable of reaching a near 200 miles per hour or beyond due to its nitrous infused performance and rear-mounted jets to allow jumping distance reach.
 • "Le Esperance": French for "Promise". It's what Veronica named the ebony black handgun. A master's work, the handgun can be disassembled and reassembled again to fit other various types of ammo, due to the amount of adaptable pieces that came with the handgun itself. On either side of the weapon are two polished circles which offer mirror-like properties, which seem to display images... Which makes it all the more obvious that Esperance isn't a normal handgun. Esperance has in way it's own presence. It doesn't want to be used by anybody else but their respective owner, and anybody else holding the handgun will find it awkward, to the point of finding the weapon inaccurate, unbalanced, etc. But when the owner holds it, it however feels like it fits their hand just the way it should, giving the feeling that it belongs in their hand: it actually improves the accuracy up to near-perfect levels. But it's more interesting property is, even if loaded with lethal ammo, it will never actually kill (or truly injure) unless deliberately firing it lethally. Each shot drains the target's energy, in a way that a mortal wound caused by the bullet will instead just knock them out for a while. A crippling shot at the target's leg, in example, will still cripple him/her, but without the pain and injury.
Weaknesses:

 • Mortal: Veronica is still a mortal and ages as any other human would. She possesses a trained and experienced willpower, but things are still on par with others. A simple firearm or blade can still harm her as well as anything else out of the ordinary given she is not capable of dodging or otherwise avoiding the damage. Despite the fact that she can heal herself to a moderate degree, she does not heal naturally faster than anyone else.
 • Insecurities: Despite circumstantial factors, she is still an nineteen year old girl and someone trying to relive lost opportunities from her childhood and earlier teenage years. She is incredibly sensitive about her weight since she started to reach a muscle mass of one fifty and since she's always been an active person called for or not. She also believes herself far less attractive than she is, always claiming she's not cute or lacks the curves compared to her other female friends.
 • Convictions: A side effect of Veronica's memory is that she constantly feels compelled to keep herself busy in order to not dwell on events in the past. Due to historic circumstances it is easy for her get caught up in experiences that may have happened years ago. Veronica works hard to stay focused and preoccupied so that this is not an issue by continuing to learn and grow because otherwise she is easily bored.
Backstory:
The truth behind Veronica's true origins are actually unknown. Later discovery in life have revealed her memories to have been tampered with in the past and most of what she grew up knowing to be a lie. She does know however, that her father was the notorious Dimitri "The Truth" Vincento, a notorious drug trafficker during the nineties and early two thousands. She was used as his pawn of distraction to the local authorities during her early life from the age of six. At the age of eleven she came into possession of a stolen guitar and decided to try and use it. Due to her savant syndrome, she took to it immediately, learning a song she heard on the radio by ear after a few days of trying. Continued efforts as the years past, she eventually began to earn some money off the streets playing guitar when she wasn't busy struggling with survival or working for "The Truth".  After getting the impression of always being an outsider to soceity, she ran into an individual who taught her the beliefs of anarchy. She saw it as a means to strike back at those who had done her wrong and began to change her style of music, lyrical meanings, appearance, and outlook on life. Due to her efforts of violence encouraging musical displays and public defiance of the law, the people deemed her "Anarchy".
For the next two years, "Anarchy" became a bane in the sides of police and other heroic individuals who tried to stop her. It wasn't until a group of heroes that worked with other teenage metahumans attempted to arrest her that she finally came into custody of the law. Not knowing she had no birth certificate and no proof of residence, the group of heroes worked with the authorities until the conclusion was made that Veronica would stay with those who arrested her in legal custody until further notice. During the time, she was whipped into shape by various mentors and instructors who taught her martial arts, moral codes, social skills, and some general education. Eventually "The Truth" made an appearance and made things more difficult until she finally stood up against him to make the arrest herself. The court date followed shortly after and all actions and charged placed under her were not held accountable in accordance to forced coercion outside of her individual actions as "Anarchy". She was sentenced to perform a reformation program with the group she was already with, as results were being shown through their actions. She eventually came into a field leader position with the program until it was shut down for lack of funding and she parted ways with the group.
Since then, she has dedicated herself to putting what she's learned to good use, fighting crime where she can find it. Eventually, in a chance of fate, one might say, she met with a woman on the same job she was working on, and the two hit it off quite nicely. Seeing the situation Anarchy was placed in, the generous soul kindly offered to help her out and soon became her legal guardian. Months pass and Anarchy gets her GED on request of the woman as well as starting her tutelage to becoming a sorcerer. For a celebration ceremony of a mutual friend, gifts were exchanged to all members present where Anarchy found herself with the pistol "Esperance" named after the promise she's made to the woman to never let her down or forget what she's taught her.

Jmorty33

Player: Jmorty33
Name: Tim Drake
Codename: Robin
Age: 17
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 150 lbs
Appearance:
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

Powers: N/A
Skills:
-Martial Arts training: Tim has been trained by Batman, Nightwing, Lady Shiva and assorted others in an assortment of martial arts disciplines which include but are not limited to Kung Fu, Aikido, Jeet Kune Do, Escrima, Judo, Wing Chun, Kendo, Ninjitsu. His abilities with the bo-staff gives him an extra edge with his fighting.

-Escapologist: Batman and Nightwing have trained Tim to be skilled in escaping from any trap, lock or captivity, ranging from the most simplistic of handcuffs to the most elaborate of cages.

-Gifted Intellect: His naturally high intellect allows him to excel in computer science and more importantly as a skilled detective. Further more, Tim apparently has a firm grasp of assorted scientific techniques including biology, engineering and genetics. Batman has trained him in many disciplines, such as forensic, criminology, acrobatics, stealth, disguise, and escapology.

-Detective: like any member of The Bat Family, Tim has proven great skill in detective work.

- Tactician and Strategist: Tim, much like Dick Grayson is also a brilliant  strategist with impressive leadership skills, but has yet the courage, and the opportunity, to step up and use them .

Equipment:
-The Utility Belt: This belt includes nearly everything required to face Meta-Human and human evil. Including: Batarangs,R shaped Shurikens, Specially designed bombs of all kinds.Tracking devices and various tools that range from screwdriver sets to full scale forensic kits. It also holds a full variety of antidotes and antitoxins and first aid kit needs.

A Word on Batarangs: He carries a number of differently designed Batarangs and R shaped Shurikens, Some are designed blunt and others are sharper then a samurai sword. There are also some that make noises, Explode and even some that tie to Bat-Rope.

Weaknesses:
Tim Drake has the greatest weakness of all, The human condition. He can get sick or hurt or even killed. Though he has trained his body in to a living war machine and is at the peak of human perfection he still has no super powers of any kind. He is still just a human.

There is evens chance of mental instability. Putting the weight of two predessecors, a harsh mentor, a city, and the world on the shoulders of a 17 year old boy is dangerous on his mind. Though Tim has done well in handling it there are the small moments where the stress can get too high or a panic attack can occur. Tim tries to keep these moments under wraps and hidden away from the team.

Backstory:
Tim Drake was little more than a toddler when he attended the circus with his parents. In order to ease his wife's concerns that the circus might frighten Tim, Jack Drake asked to take a picture with the Flying Graysons, who were the starring act. It was here that Tim first met Dick Grayson, who offered Tim special attention, and even promised to dedicate his performance to the toddler. Soon after, Tim and his family bore witness to the murder of Dick's parents John and Mary, alongside Bruce Wayne. As his parents rushed him out of the circus tent, Tim managed to catch sight of the mysterious Batman consoling Dick. Feeling sorry for Dick, Jack and Janet sent him a copy of the photo they had taken prior to the murder.

A few years later at the age of nine, Tim saw footage of Batman and Robin apprehending the Penguin. Robin performed a quadruple somersault, a rare maneuver that only a Flying Grayson could do. After learning Grayson was the ward of Bruce Wayne, he came to the conclusion that Grayson was Robin and that of course Wayne was Batman. Tim continued to follow the adventures of the Dynamic Duo, as well as Grayson's becoming Nightwing and Jason Todd succeeding him as Robin. After Jason's death, Timothy began to take notice of a drastic and almost psychotic change in Batman's behavior, in which he became convinced that Batman needed a Robin to maintain his sanity.

When Nightwing left the Titans for a short time in order to find himself, Tim followed him and after helping Dick solve a mystery at Haly's Circus, was able to convince Dick that Batman needed help. However, where Dick intended to help Batman as Nightwing, Tim remained convinced that Batman needed Robin more. Dick ignored these pleads and raced off to help his mentor, only for both Dick and Bruce to be captured by Two-Face.

Realizing that his idols were in danger, Tim donned the costume of Robin, at only thirteen years old and with the help of Alfred Pennyworth, was able to rescue them. Batman, although extremely reluctant, accepted Tim as the new Robin on a trial basis after being convinced by the boy, as well as Dick and Alfred. He was trained over several months, first by Alfred, then Batman, and finally Nightwing before ever being allowed to wear the costume again or go into the field.

Unfortunately, just prior to completing his training, the ruthless Obeah Man later captured Tim's parents during a trip to the Caribbean. The Obeah man intended to sacrifice them, but Batman arrived to their rescue. Unfortunately, Janet and Jack both drank some water laced with poison, and Janet died, while Jack was left in a coma with paralysis. Batman began to reconsider Tim for the role of Robin, due to his fear that Tim was now motivated by anger, just as Jason had been. Tim, however, became more driven by his desire to do what was right, rather than petty revenge. After later saving Batman and Vicki Vale and defeating the Scarecrow, Bruce at last bestowed upon Tim the mantle of Robin, as well as a new costume. As of now he has only a years worth of experience under his belt and has much to learn.

Re Z L

Jaime Reyes, the Blue Beetle

Powers

The powers of the Blue Beetle are best broken into three categories, those that the Scarab can use independently, those that its host can use, and those that manifest only while wearing the Blue Beetle armor.
Scarab - Khaji Da

 • Energy Absorption - The Scarab can absorb a blast of energy that would land a human in the hospital.
 • Independent Animation - The Scarab is capable of moving short distances on its own, either by crawling or flying.  When fused to a biological host the Scarab relies on its host for movement.
 • Pincer Blades - The Scarab's pincers are capable of cutting through metal.  When fused to a biological host the Scarab relies on the host for such abilities.
 • Scarab Mindlink - The Scarab is capable of communicating with Scarabs that have not integrated with a host.  The Scarab may also interface with other Scarabs that have bonded with a biological host as long as its host first penetrate's the other's armor.
Host - Jaime Reyes

 • Symbiotic Synaptic Interface - The Host's nervous system is bonded with the Scarab's, this allows the two to share their thoughts and emotions with one another.  The communication between the Scarab and its Host can only be intercepted by mind-reading.
 • Tracking Systems - The Scarab is capable of tracking anything which produces energy, be it biological, technological, or mystical.  It can track anyone the Host has met from at least seventy miles distance.
 • Scarab Sight - The Scarab can scan anything that the Host encounters.  It can identify major physical conditions, such as pregnancy or diseases; identify metahumans; identify relatives via genetic analysis; detecting sentience; extra-dimensional objects; it remains continually aware of electricity in the environment; it can perceive magic, being able to monitor its effect, determine how it can be dispelled and see through magical concealment.  It is capable of scanning at least a five-mile radius.
 • Network Connection - The Scarab can establish a link to communication systems, enabling its Host to talk through them or listen in on them.
 • Clothing Manifestation - The Scarab can create clothes for its host which dissolve moments after the host removes them.
 • Concealment - The Scarab is capable of concealing itself from modern technology, blocking off cameras and microphones in its vicinity for example.  It can also block mystical attempts to probe it.  Sufficiently advanced technology can detect it with less difficulty.
 • Healing - The host heals at a faster rate than a normal human.
Armor

 • Superhuman Strength - Able to move small trucks with ease.
 • Superhuman Agility - Able to fly and move quickly enough to dodge many attacks with ease.
 • Environmental Protection - The armor allows the host to survive in a variety of hazardous environments.  The host can withstand extreme temperatures and pressures, including the vacuum of space, and can survive reentry through the earth's atmosphere and the subsequent impact.
 • Armor Reconfiguration - The armor can reconfigure itself to create a wide array of tools and weapons, including an energy cannon, a sword and shield, a grappling hook, an energy blaster, claws, wings, and a set of large powered blades attached to the hands, over a foot in length, that can shear through tree trunks.
 • Partial Manifestation - The host can manifest parts of the armor, such as the energy blaster, without needing to manifest the whole suit.
 • Wing Shields - The armor can create a pair of wings allowing the host to fly and hover, they can double as a shield if necessary.  A jet thruster can be manifested to increase his flying speed tremendously at the cost of close maneuverability.
 • Energy Manipulation - The armor can shape and manipulate the energy it stores for a variety of effects:  energy blasts, energy cocoons, small-scale solid constructs, 3-D holograms and shields.
 • Antagonist Adaptation - The armor can tailor its blasts for use against specific opponents (eg. Kryptonite radiation, non-lethal suppression blasts, anti Green Lantern manifestations, anti-magic).
 • Energy Bubble - The armor is able to create a temporary energy bubble around the host and nearby people.  The bubble shields those within from outside attacks, but prevents them from leaving.  Flashes attempting to vibrate out of it have been blasted by the shield.
 • Vibrational Frequency Manipulation - The armor can negate the vibrational frequencies of extra-dimensional objects, pulling them into this reality.  This can also shift the Host out of phase with the universe, making him invisible and intangible to anything apart from technologies that normally interact with such objects.

Weaknesses

 • Green Lantern Corps - The Scarab sees the Green Lanterns as the "enemy".  The Scarab urges its host to kill them when they are present, acting very aggressively towards them.  The Green Lantern rings respond with "fear" towards the Scarab, inducing different affects depending on their wielder (Sparks, Migraines, Desire to kill the Host, etc.)
 • Truce With Nature - The Scarab will not hurt nature, or the magical creatures thereof, of its own volition.  The Host must force the Scarab into helping one way or another.
 • Alien Sentience - The Scarab's sentience and morality is strictly inhuman.  It cares little for humans in general and is willing to injure or kill them.  The Host must maintain control to prevent it from doing either.
 • Reach Tech - The Scarab's armor can be breached by the weapons of other Scarabs.  The Scarab and the Host are susceptible to Reach technology, forcing the Host to resist being controlled by them.
 • Magic - While the Scarab is aware of magic, it doesn't understand it.  It's able to perceive, absorb, and disrupt magical energies, but little else.  As a result, creatures of magic are often a significant challenge.  The Scarab can't analyse certain mystical creatures, and so is unable to develop countermeasures for them.  When faced with certain other mystical entities, such as the Spectre, the Scarab panics, offering its Host ever more powerful weapons to take them on, which can have unintended consequences.
 • Magnetic Shielding - Strong magnetic fields block the Scarab's ability to track.
 • Dispelling the Armor - When the armor is removed it causes the Host intense physical pain.  The more the armor is used the more the Host gets used to the pain, though it is never gone completely.
 • Teenage Boy - Jaime has all of the weaknesses normally associated with being a teenager.

Water-Bearers:Twin hilts that can hold onto water which Aqualad then uses to create his hard-water weapons. They are also used as a type of water gun to shoot water from his waterpack and can be used to help manipulate sources of water.

Weaknesses:

Dehydration: because his natural habitat is underwater, Aqualad is weakened when exposed to high temperatures and dry conditions.

Backstory:

Aqualad came from the Atlantean city of Shayeris, where he was raised by Sha'lain'a, a native of that city, and Calvin Durham, a henchman of Black Manta who was genetically altered to infiltrate Atlantis. However, his actual father is Black Manta himself. He completed his education and began mandatory military service at age 12. At 14, he was transferred to the Conservatory of Sorcery in Poseidonis.

One day, the villain Ocean-Master attacked Atlantis, causing Aquaman to battle with him. During the fight, Aquaman was defeated, but was suddenly helped by the combined forces of Kaldur'ahm and Garth. Using a combination of Garth's magic and Kaldur's fighting abilities, the two attacked Ocean-Master. Though they were easily defeated, this allowed Aquaman precious time to recover and defeat Ocean-Master. After the victory, Aquaman offered the boys the opportunity to become his protégés. Although Garth declined the offer and returned to his studies, Kaldur jumped at the chance to serve his king as his sidekick. He became a superhero two years before his tour of the Hall of Justice.

If my other RP doesnt get off the ground, I'd like to try this one out. Maybe as Miss Martian or Artemis? Maybe Wonder Girl? Any thoughts?
The definition of a hero, at least in my mind, is someone who can protect what is right. To change and stop the wrong. To fight against the forces that seek to destroy you. And, at the very least ... live life well, and enjoy it with those you love.

apygoos

Ash! in our previous game wehad a wondergirl, i PMed her about this one, so well see if she responds. As for Artemis or Ms. M, they're wide open.

apygoos

If anyone on here was possibly interested in co GMing, feel free to pm me!

BlackestKnight

I don't mind stepping up to co-gm if no one else will, although I prefer if everyone had some say in the direction of the roleplay like a conciliatory democracy. I'm always open to suggestions and such.

MaiMizzu

I'll help with whatever duties I can. I decided I'm leaning towards Artemis. miss martian seems like an awesome character.. just not sure I could pull her off. I dunno.

I'll help with whatever duties I can. I decided I'm leaning towards Artemis. miss martian seems like an awesome character.. just not sure I could pull her off. I dunno.

I'm so glad to hear that we finally have an archer on the team. Or at least I hope we do. Nothing against Miss Martian fans but her recent character development has been disturbing to say the least.

I agree, her recent development has been a bit too dark for the show. Especially since they set her up as a very perky and cheerful character in the first season. Also, why the hell did they break her and Connor up? I thought they were working great together aaaaaaaaand then they're gone.

Ok, so me and apygoos were discussing the roleplay in private and we agreed  to incorporate a few fresh concepts into the roleplay. I ran the idea of having character specific arcs just like in the show by him, I want to hear yours guys thoughts.

QuoteWe will be completely starting over. It may have a similar start, but once we get going I would like to ask the players in general what kind of balance between "action" and "casual" they would like to see. I was thinking of asking the players what sort of villains they would want to encounter, kind of like, one each player, and construct mission arcs from there. As GM you would have the special ability to use the various JLA members, obviously mostly as NPCs unless its a specific arc that involves them around more.

So essentially, we're thinking of something like stand-alone episodes dedicated to each member of the team, establishing their own arch- villains,  character development and what not. Also,  I don't mind lending my support to anyone who needs help in this regard , but I think it should be a unique experience so I'm going to leave some individual freedom to the players to craft their story. This is your character after all. I'll probably create a thread in the near future for detailing and logging on-going character arcs.

Player: Primarch
Name: Unknown
Codename: Power Boy
Age: 17
Height: 6'2
Weight: 220 lbs

Powers:
New God Physiology and genetic manipulation gives him flight, levitation, super-strength, super-speed, super-breath, limited invulnerability; Empathy to read & sense the emotions of others; Immortality; Sonic Boom Clap; Energy manipulation powers to make solid energy constructs, force fields, and a giant energy hand.

Skills: He appears to have few if any specialised skills, beyond being a decent typical power brawler.

Equipment: Father Box, an Apokoliptian version of the Mother Box that can communicate telepathically with him, heal his injuries, manipulate his life-force to sustain him past fatal wounds, create a hush-tube to teleport across great distances, and do many other things.
Weaknesses:
Power Instability: Power Boy's emphatic powers can cause him to absorb negative emotions and lose control becoming violent. His emotional state can also cause his eyes to change colors, such a pink when feeling loved, and red when angry. It was likely that Power Boy absorbing Supergirl's kryptonite poisoning, combined with Dark Angel manipulating his and Kara's emotions via his Father Box caused the fight and break up between him and Supergirl.

Backstory:
Powerboy is an abused boy that has recently arrived on Earth from the Hellish world of Apokolips with his only friend, Little Barda. The Teen Titans looked to bolster their ranks, so asked the superpowered duo of Power Boy and Little Barda (who also came from Apokolips) to join the team. However, when the Teen Titans met Lex Luthor's new Infinity Inc. superhero team, their "team-up" resulted in the tragic death of Infinity team member, Eliza Harmon. At Eliza's funeral, Hotspot, Little Barda and Power Boy all quit the Teen Titans. After saying the Titans was not what they used to be. Power Boy and Little Barda then teleported away to parts unknown.

He was contacted by Power Girl and offered a position on a new team, to which he agreed. The night before his first meeting with the new team, he is shown to have had a consensual one night stand with an older female hero named Holly Granger.

MaiMizzu

Player: MaiMizzu (Ash)
Name: Artemis Lian Crock
Codename: Artemis
Age: 17
Height: 5’6”
Weight: 125 lbs
Appearance:
Artemis is half Caucasian and half Vietnamese with olive toned skin. Long blond hair, usually always tied back into a ponytail.

Powers: None
Skills: Above average conditioning; speed, endurance, agility, strength. Expert marksmanship with many ranged projectiles. Artemis is able to fire her arrows with both hands. She is also an accomplished tracker and acrobat. Artemis is highly skilled at hand to hand combat, with or without the use of her bow. She is highly intelligent and multilingual. She can speak fluent English, Vietnamese, French and Spanish. She is also versed in emergency medicine.
Equipment: Her main piece of equipment is her bow and her arrows. She uses a compound bow, and when she isn’t using it, the bow can be folded inwards and affixed to her back. With just a touch it can snap back into it’s original configuration almost instantly. The regular arrows she uses have smooth edges and no barbs. Along with her normal arrows, she employs a number of trick arrows. She constructs them all herself. The arrows she uses currently are:  Exploding, knockout gas, grappling hook, bola, adhesive, impact, lasso, explosive 3 way shot, foam (releasing a high density foam to engulf targets), smoke screen, fire, net and tracker.
She always carries a crossbow, either on her uniform or hidden amongst her civilian clothing. It is preloaded with bolts.
She also carries a miniature telescope and rebreather.
Weaknesses:While she is an expert archer and accomplished martial artist, Artemis is still ‘only human’. She has no meta powers to speak of. Sometimes this could potentially prove to be a hindrance, but she has yet to be proven a liability. Her intelligence makes up for not possessing powers.
She is also achingly self conscious about her role as a ‘hero’ or her place on the team. Due to her past, her origins, she often feels she doesn’t deserve the chances she’s been given.
She can be at a disadvantage if she doesn’t have her bow, or she runs out of arrows. She’s very good at keeping track of her arrow count and which ones she’s used. But there are times when she runs out of resources.
Backstory: Artemis was born the daughter of an ex-criminal (Huntress) and the villain known as Sportsmaster. She was trained by her father to be a ruthless fighter, to perhaps follow in his footsteps. Her sister, Cheshire, also went through this training. The time came for her to make her own decisions, and against the wishes of her father and sister she struck out on her own. She was noticed by Green Arrow, whom was an inspiration to her. With his guidance, she has been shown a new path in life now.

The definition of a hero, at least in my mind, is someone who can protect what is right. To change and stop the wrong. To fight against the forces that seek to destroy you. And, at the very least ... live life well, and enjoy it with those you love.

AribethAmkiir

Player: AribethAmkiir
Name: Cassandra Sandsmark
Codename: Wonder Girl
Age: 17
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 125 lbs
Appearance:
Images

Powers:
- Demi-Goddess Empowerment: She was granted her abilities by Zeus, who granted "her fondest wish" which happened to be having superpowers.

       - Superhuman Strength: Her Olympian flesh and bone is about one and a half times as dense as similar human tissue, contributing to the Olympians' superhuman strength and weight.  Currently able to lift 90 to 100 tons.

        - Superhuman Speed: Like Wonder Woman, Cassie can move at supersonic speeds. She can move fast enough to not register in the normal peripheral range of humans and seemingly vanish and disappear at will. At this speed, her mind processes information at least on a subliminal level that she is aware of her surroundings.

        - Superhuman Durability: Cassie's been pushed through buildings, knocked into cars and tackled by superhumans. Her godly flesh can withstand powerful impacts and blunt force trauma.

       - Superhuman Reflexes: Cassie is able to react to and deflect bullets with great comfort.

       - Flight: Wonder Girl can also mystically fly through the atmosphere through sure act of will, enabling her to soar through the atmosphere at sub-orbital levels and travel across the planet at supersonic speeds.

Skills: Advanced Hand-to-hand combat (trained by Artemis)
Equipment: Silver bracelets (like Wonder Woman)
Weaknesses:
    - Maternal Depowerment: Discouraged by previously shown arrogance in his children (Ares and Heracles), Zeus also blessed Cassie's mother with the ability to take away her powers for a short time via a simple touch.

Backstory:

Cassandra "Cassie" Sandsmark is the second person to be called Wonder Girl; the first being Donna Troy.  Cassie is the daughter of Dr. Helena Sandsmark (a noted archaeologist with whom Wonder Woman was working) and the Greek god Zeus.  During a fight with a Doomsday clone and another battle with Decay, she created a costume and used magical items (the Sandals of Hermes and the Gauntlet of Atlas) to help Wonder Woman, much to her mother's horror.  Cassie later had the opportunity to ask Zeus for a boon, and requested real superpowers. Zeus granted her request, but gave Dr. Sandsmark the ability to deactivate them. Dr. Sandsmark, however, reluctantly accepted her daughter's wish to be a superheroine and rarely uses this ability.

my idea was one big team, only really breaking into two teams if theres like, 20+ players wanting in on this.

Bah I need to stop looking over dc characters hehe. I thought about play starfire or raven because I knew their stories a bit more. But Argent and Looker look like a lot of fun with possible interesting rp.

apygoos

keep in mind this is a universe all of its own, in our previous game for example, superboy's name wasn't even decided upon yet. He could've been indiana jones for all we knew. so when it comes to character selection go with whatever you think would be most fun. ill also get an OOC and character thread up soon

How many players we looking to get before we get started IC? I don't wanna lose anyone because we waited to long, ya know?

Ok question here, which set of power aspects should I go with for Looker aka Emily. I have two different sites that have slight differences in her powers. Like all her mental abilities came before her vampirism so they are her natural gifts. But on a different one it doesn't mention them as a before her turning thing. I'm so confused!

Can't you just make her powers to be whatever you want it to be? What I mean is, is it really so important that you follow the script that the comics laid out instead of personalizing the character in a way that works for you?

Player:curvykitten
Name: Emily Briggs prefers Lia Briggs
Codename: Looker
Age: 19
Height:5'9''
Weight:180 lbs
Appearance: now coming into her own after being exposed exposed to the rays of a fragment of Halley's Comet. Her body is now what would could describe as perfectly constructed. Full lush curves, that fill out that hourglass figure rather nicely. Well toned muscles that only give hint to the power that they can call upon. Long legs that seem to go on for days. Vibrant red hair that draws attention up her tall form.
more pictures of emily

Powers:
Her meta-gene abilities

Psionic powers. The original set of Looker's power are psionic in nature, and are manifested by a soft blue glow around her eyes, she is one of the most powerful mentalists on Earth. Her psionic abilities are varied in disciplines, including telepathy which allows her to enter and read the minds of others, communicate mentally with others over long distances, set up mental blocks, or emotional influences, stun the minds of others with powerful "mental bolts" which shock the minds of others into unconsciousness, control the minds of others thereby commanding their actions, and create complex and believable illusions in the minds of others. She also possesses telekinesis which she use for levitation and the construction of psionic force shields which have a high degree of imperiousness.

Vampiric powers
Immortality: So long as vampires continue to consume blood, they will not age beyond the physical state they were in when they first became a vampire.

Invulnerability: Vampires are invulnerable to most forms of injury (certain exceptions apply). Bullets, blades and blunt objects do little to no damage to a vampire's body.

Regeneration: In addition to being virtually indestructible, whatever damage a vampire does in fact suffer can be healed through the consumption of human blood.

Superhuman Strength: A vampire's strength level is several times that of a normal human being and they are considered superhuman.

Superhuman Stamina: So long as they continue to consume human blood, a vampire can function tirelessly without rest or relaxation. However, a vampire's stamina wanes the closer it is to sunrise.

Transformation: Vampires often possess the ability to transform into a variety of creatures or effects such as bats, wolves, rats or even mist. While their physical attributes may fluctuate during such states, a vampire's mental acuity is the same as that when they are in their human shape. A vampire who transforms into an animal may also benefit from that particular animal's attributes including razor-sharp claws, fangs or the ability to fly.

Vampirism: In addition to the various mental and physical benefits that vampires are heir to, they also possess the ability to turn others into vampires as well. Each new vampire is traditionally subservient to the one who "turned" them, but some strong-willed vampires have been known to rebel against their masters. Unlike most vampires Looker is a Daywalker, hence most vampire afflictions against sunlight, holy symbols, and other such typical limitations.

Skills:
her intelligence, dancing, painting, good with money and the stocks, lucid dreamer, photography (even if she herself doesn't show up on film),
Equipment:
All the things a woman needs to be absolutely fabulous oh and a kick as pair of boots.
Weaknesses:
The blood lust that eats at her, a struggle that sticks with her and has her having to keep some of the things she would want most at bay.

The fact that she has to have enough energy or blood to use or benefit from her vampiric powers. So she has to feed or she will become weak and almost sick from lack of blood.

That she could be subservient to the vampire that turned her. Though she has not come in contact with him since he turned her.

The effectiveness of her psionic powers depends on her physical condition, distance to be traveled and other consideration.

Not as combat trained the others, as she has relied on her psionic powers for the majority of her fighting.
Backstory:
With an "ugly duckling" view of herself and growing up having a massive inferiority complex due to her plain appearance, Emily Briggs always longed to one day be beautiful. One day her dream would come true as she was kidnapped by emissaries from the lost underground colony of Abyssia. Reviling to Emily she was actually the next in a line of generational structured governing house for the throne of their nation through her paternal grandfather, who fled Abyssia decades ago for the surface world. Overwhelmed by the destiny which was unveiled to her, Emily was taken against her will to Abyssia, Emily was told that by once having been exposed to the rays of a fragment of Halley's Comet that fell over two thousand years ago she would undergo a transformation. Finally becoming a swan Emily would gain formidable powers of the mind and incredible beauty.

Emily was than transformed by the comets fragment and quickly became the pawn of two warring factions from two hateful siblings in a plot to wipe out the entire population of Earth's surface. Since Emily had met Katana earlier on and the two became friends, Katana attempted to side her during the kidnapping but failed. Contacting her fellow Outsiders, together with Batman planed to track and rescue Emily who with their help and her new abilities defeated the warring siblings and won her freedom. Delighted when she found her transformation was permanent she went home with the Outsiders. Her fiance ( a high school sweet heart she settled for because she never thought anyone else would look at her.) ended up not understanding the woman that returned, not excepting her and in the end turning her away. No she come across a new team and looks to find a new purpose in life.

apygoos

kitten: If i may suggest omitting her vampirism? With just her Mental powers shes a pretty formidable character. and when it comes to telepathy, ill put the advice out early, it is very, very easy to metagame/power play with telepathy if you are not careful. This is often avoided with communication, but some people forget or don't realize it.

CurvyKitten

Oh I know all about the mental powers and respecting peoples posts and such and not metagaming with them. I play Jean grey in an other thread, and I mostly use her powers on the bad guys. I always ask if it is ok to read your characters mind in this moment. Normally when it is REALLY important to do so. Like when they need help or are going to hurt themselves or others that sort of thing. I actually have only used her powers on on other PC's during a intimate moment lol. The rest of the time it was what ever big bad was in play.

apygoos

perfect then, also the second a paragraph in the bio seems to be quite a bit for a nineteen year old to have gone though so far. So i think it you trim the bio a bit and drop the vampire aspect she will be good to go, anyone else have thoughts?

CurvyKitten

I kind of wanted to play her due to the vampire aspect, the interesting twist and the struggle and depth of the character that comes for it. If she can't have or be that I'd rather not play that character than. On either site she had the mental powers it either came from her vampirism or had it before I simply flipped a coin and went with one.

I thinks she would be fine, maybe instead of removing one or the other completely. She could just remove a few psychic and vampiric abilities that aren't needed, or weaken them.

apygoos

Re Z L

Her vampiric powers are directly tied to drinking blood, so if she goes long without it then she'd be like superman being taken away from the yellow sun, they'd wane over time (though without blood she starts to become even weaker, as if she were starving to death).  How do they compare with other heroes?  Well I don't think she'd be nearly as strong as Wonder Girl or Superboy, but certainly a physical power house in her own regard.

What about her psychic powers?  She's certainly no Miss Martian.  I think they round out the rest of her powers nicely (especially since they won't wane with her loss of blood).

Her weaknesses are interesting for a hero.  She has to drink blood of all things, which I'm sure will cause some problems along the way.

All in all I think the character is fine as she has it presented already.
A&A

CurvyKitten

Also note that she has very little combat or hand to hand training. So even with the vampiric powers she is pretty much a street brawler when it comes to straight man to man fighting.

+1.

Although it would probably be unfair if I had an issue. I app'd Power Boy after all.

well given we have superman being the pinnacle of super speed, strength, etc, id say keep it in check relative to that scale, and perhaps it should be fine. Shes a young inexperienced vampire, so perhaps there could be some character arcs dealing with that fact, etc.

Kind of part of the reason I wanted to play her, she will be struggling with her vampire side for a while. I'm sure there will be some touch and go moments. Like struggling with a dark side that is always hungry. I thought it would be an interesting aspect to rp.

And I figured I'd use other vampires as examples, she can probably lift a car but not a building or something huge like that. Punch through a wall but steel enforced walls would take more effort. Where as the really strong people could do it with an easy punch.

And some of her vampire powers she is still probably learning, like transformation is kind of a hit or miss...I wonder if I can turn into a bat..yes ok, what about a shark..nope...damn ok...what about a... and so forth. She is still learning her limits and what she can do. Maybe along the lines she gets stronger but that all comes with time. As any real skills would take some time.

apygoos

well all that in mind, if no one really has any other problem, shes pretty much good to go.
Is Bats really a part of her cannon backstory? i haven't seen any mention of Bats in it. Bats doesn't seem like the type to quickly jump onto that "train". Thats my only remaining issue, being a batman fan at least. perhaps another league member would mesh just as well onto it?

CurvyKitten

I pulled that power straight off the site as it was written...so I guess it is. Granted she probably would try all the typical vampire stuff, fog, wolf, bat, never saw rats though. All the stuff people see in movies, as her sire changed her and left. (also part of her story that can be played with.)

I can so see her trying the first time and looking like she was going to bust a blood vessel. LOL :P

apygoos

i mean Batman, not the power**

**Batman is not a power, but a state of divinity**

Vladimir valentine

I'm assumin sunlight isn't a problem for her, right? Because that would make her more complicated to play with. Other than that I think she's fine.

CurvyKitten

She was half alien to begin with her meta human side helped combat that. Or so the wiki says. Unlike most vampires Looker is a Daywalker, hence most vampire afflictions against sunlight, holy symbols, and other such typical limitations don't affect her.

And that means she is an alien vampire...I've seen that movie. LOLZ

apygoos

making sure, everyone's gotten the OOC bookmarked/notified right?

AribethAmkiir

I know its late, but vampires and superheroes really don't mesh.  Every time the two genres cross it's been a pretty big fiasco, in my opinion.  Honestly, it seems like every time a character has been turned into a vampire was an attempt to make the character more appealing, or simply to sell books.

A more important question though is if we have a character who is a vampire on the team then how big a part are vampires going to be to the story?  If vampires aren't going to be a part of the story then having a vampire on the team just convolutes and muddies the story for no real reason.  If vampires are going to show up eventually, then having a vampire on the team can be a good plot vehicle.

It really shouldn't matter if vampirism makes the character too powerful, it should have to do with whether vampirism belongs in the "Young Justice" story apygoos wants to tell.

It could fit.  Instead of fighting aliens we could fight vampires and monsters.  Of course, to me that'd be more of a Hellboy story and less Young Justice.

The more I think about it, a vampire subplot wouldn't be so bad if it was handled properly. No one said we have to follow the shows script religiously. Besides, we couldn't follow the show 100% even if we wanted to without making significant omissions to canon . We should come up with something original since our cast reflects that. My two cents. Anyway, has everyone given some  consideration as to who they want their arch enemies to be?

This does seem interesting to me, so I think I'll apply!  I'm just drawing a bit of a blank when it comes to any sorta costume for the character, however, so if anyone's got a good place that'd have plenty of pics to choose from, I'd really appreciate it.  I'm planning for an original character rather than a canon one, since I'm not all that knowledgeable about too many comic book characters (just general stuff, mostly, but I can find more info from online sources as needed).  I should have a character sheet up tonight, I think, so long as I can find a pic for his appearance.

SciFiSpectacle

I have interest in this RP, but I'm a bit new to Elliquiy, so I'm not exactly sure how to go about creating the character, but I'll give it a shot!

Player: SciFiSpectacle
Name: Nina White
Codename: Blood X
Age: 19/57
Height: 5ft 5in
Weight: 130lbs
Appearance:
Nina has very short black hair, about an inch long on the top but shorter on the sides and back. Her hair is black, typically spiked up, and is a drastic contrast to her perfectly white skin. Her eyes generally are a deep, burning red, but sometimes they are a cold black. She is athletically built, but has a strong feminine physique despite her masculine haircut.
Powers: Nina is a vampire, so she has the strengths and weaknesses of vampires. For starters, she is immortal, so long as she continues to drink blood or isn't slain. She has superhuman strength, easily as strong as ten men. With superhuman speed, she can dodge bullets and move faster than the normal eye can see. An incredible acrobat, she can jump buildings in a single bound, climb walls, ceilings, and contort her body into fantastic positions. She also possesses incredible senses, as well as an amazing healing factor and hypnotic abilities.
Skills: Decades of practice and training have contributed Nina's skill as a martial artist. Able to take on almost any foe in hand to hand combat, her inhuman reflexes, strength, and healing factor lead to her usual victory. Contributing to her martial skill, is her years as a dancer and acrobat. Incredibly flexible, with an inhuman sense of balance and control over her body, she boasts the ability to run on water. Years within the vampire hierarchy have granted her exceptional communication skills, as well as a bit of knowledge in hacking, programming, politics, and street smarts.
Equipment: Her typical hero outfit consists of a full body suit of armor, capable of stopping most piercing and blunt attacks. She carries a utility belt with an array of simple gadgets and utility items, varying from smoke pullets to flash pellets and small radius electronic jammers. On both thighs she carries a modified semi-automatic pistol, typically loaded with plastic bullets, however her belt does have standard, explosive, incendiary, and GPS tracker rounds, all of the 9mm variety. She has a grappling hook with gas powered grapple gun, a ninjato sword, four throwing daggers, and two timed explosive charges. On her head, to cover her eyes, she wears an advanced goggle mechanism that protects her from UV light, as well as allows her to zoom in, lock onto targets, and has an advanced scanning technology comparable to Iron Mans hud.
Weaknesses: As a vampire, however, she requires blood and constantly thirsts for it. She cannot be exposed to direct ultraviolet-light, or else become extremely burned and ultimately die. She is highly allergic to silver and garlic, and piercing her heart or brain will kill her.
Backstory: Nina, an adventurous young woman, was happy with her life, a husband and a kid at home. She was a dancer, married to a highly successful violin player in Moscow, Russia. She was 22 years old when she was turned, a dark turn in her life that ended her once serene and happy existence.

At home in her bedroom, her husband out at another one of his late night parties, Nina sat waiting for him to come home. She worried about him greatly, but was relieved when a light tapping on her window got her attention. Thinking it was her husband, she stood with a smile, and gripped her midsection to hold her nightgown. Crossing the room, she felt it was odd for him to come in through the window, but he was probably drunk. "Nina..." a voice said from outside the window. "Abram..." she said with an annoyed tone, and opened the window. A gust of wind through them open once the latch was released, and she stumbled back in tired surprise. The dim light of the moon filled her room, but her husband was nowhere to be seen. Confused, she was about to turn around when an impossibly strong hand grabbed her around the middle and pulled her lithe form back. She was about to scream out, when a cold hand covered her mouth. "Be silent my pet..." whispered an English voice, right before a pair of fangs sunk into her neck.

That night, her body changed and contorted, but luckily her husband didn't come home. Nina didn't know what to do with herself, and struggled to resist the urge to kill her daughter, to feast upon her blood. Her first day turned was the worst. When evening had come again, she drove her new fangs into her daughters 2 year old throat and drank her dry. Her husband came home, drunk and dirty. She killed him as well, unable to control her thirst for blood.

Time passed, and she had been picked up by a major House. Nina has lived with the House of White for over a century, training and learning the ways of the vampires. With the new Superhero team assembling, she as well as high ranking members thought it would be wise to increase their popularity among the young heroes. Thus, she is trying to join to hopefully strengthen human and vampire ties.

How's that? xD

SciFiSpectacle

Shit really? Someone else is joining as female vampire? xD

Re Z L

While you have the Justice part down, SciFi, you seem to be lacking in the Young department  ;D

Part of the premise of the game is that the members are pretty inexperienced heroes and they're still learning.  So I don't think a 133 year old vampire would fit terribly well in that regard  :-)

If you dialed that part back then I'd say you're probably just fine, maybe work something out with Curvy to tie your backstories together (sisters, friends, etc.).

PS.  Apygoos:  I'll probably be changing to a different character.  I haven't heard back from Etah dna Evol about if he wants to take my place yet, but I've been thinking about an OC character which I think should work well with the group.   ;D

SciFiSpectacle

#66
Player: SciFiSpectacle
Name: Daniel Davis
Codename: Durable Dude (DeeDee)
Age: 17
Height: 5ft 6in
Weight: 126lbs
Appearance: Average height, with dirty blonde hair and green eyes, Daniel Davis isn't a very flamboyant hero. Preferring to wear cargo pants and a wife beater to spandex, he keeps his identity hidden by wearing a titanium mask on his face resembling The Man in the Iron Mask.

Powers: Density Control: DeeDee is able to increase and decrease his mass from close to 12.5 kilotons, to as light as air in an instant. Durability Control: DeeDee is capable of increasing his durability to near diamond hardness. This also grants him, doubled with density control, an incredible level of superhuman strength. With these powers, he is able to leap from building to building, punch through concrete, and survive almost any attack.
Skills: DeeDee is a pretty average teenager. He likes to play the guitar and sing, and is quite good at it. He grew up wrestling greco-roman, folk-style, and free-style in tournaments up until the age of 15. In high school, he decided to take judo and a mixed martial arts class, and is still learning today!
Equipment: He doesn't carry much on him, only the clothes on his back, a communication link in his ear, a cellphone in his back pocket, his mask, and titanium brass knuckles he ordered off of Amazon. He can't afford anything else, what with paying for his martial arts classes and education.
Weaknesses: Besides being young and inexperienced, DeeDee feels all the pain done unto him. Granted, his durability control makes it very difficult to physically damage him, he still feels all the pain from attacks. Whether it is walking through fire, getting shot in the face, kicked in the groin... It wouldn't necessarily kill him, but it will hurt. He struggles with putting aside the pain, despite knowing it won't actually damage him, his nerves still tell his brain he is hurting and being hurt.
Backstory: DeeDee's father was an Olympic wrestler back in his time, but suffered a fractured spine in an unrelated accident. His father retired, married, and raised a son. DeeDee was in wrestling classes almost as early as he could walk. This led to tensions in the family, and the inevitable divorce between his parents at the age of six. DeeDee stayed with his father while his mother went away, to where, he does not know. His father works at a titanium factory, and knows of his sons superpowers. DeeDee is a mutant, being that he discovered his powers going through puberty. His father is well aware of his gifts, as well as his hero work, and has promised his son that he won't tell anyone so long as DeeDee does well in school. DeeDee looks to become a member of this new superhero team, in hopes of learning more and saving people! Oh, and for the thrills.

How about this one?

Mr Self Destruct

I don't suppose there's an opening for Superboy in this story, is there?

Arlyn

#68
Player: Arlyn
Name: Mihara Isao
Codename: (Undecided)
Age: 16
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 145lbs
Appearance: A light tan, somewhat brown/red-colored hair kept cut short.  Has a long scar on his back, drawing downward in a diagonal direction from his left sholder to his right side as a result of a whip laced with acid that ate away at the flesh there, forcing his body to heal only after the dead flesh and the acid had been flushed off.  It is of a lighter color than the rest of his body.  He's slim, more for running or swimming than weight lifting, and his build reflects such training.  His eyes are blue, though in certain lighting they can appear green- an odd thing that has been mentioned more than a few times throughout his life.

(I have the damnedest time finding something that isn't anime-based.  Any help would be appreciated in this regard, but for now, he'll do.)
Powers: Moderate Regeneration (can regenerate a limb within a week kinda-strength).  Gasses and poisons can take up to three times as long to affect him as normal, and he is rarely sick unless it is a very serious illness or disease.

Photographic memory, though he requires several seconds to look at something in order to memorize over a long period of time.  A glance is enough to give a detailed record within twelve hours, with deteriorating recollection afterward.

Heightened reflexes- due to where his brain had been struck by a bullet, the regeneration of that part of his mind also activated those neurons as well, granting him quicker reflexes that have been tested at around three times faster than the average human.

Skills: Currently a black belt in Karate and learning Aikido (basically a purple belt, if one were to rank him).  A smattering of Judo knowledge from when he was a child before he focused on Karate rounts out his hand-to-hand combat capabilities, though is not quite everything.

A few years of being on the baseball team gave him quite the swing (perhaps not much of a skill, but it has been useful at times).  Along with his tendency to run, bike, swim, or jog, this has also helped provide him a decent quickness on his feet.

Thanks to his mother, he can read and speak Japanese as fluently as he can do the same in English.

Equipment: Typically carries with him a baseball bat when he's out and about- he has a small selection at home to choose from, whether they be metal or wood in construction.  Other than that, he has a fair amount of equipment to help him in his attempts to be a hero, though most have to do with trapping or ensnaring others.  Other than the bat, his main offensive weapons include throwing weapons (typically bolas and caltrops, things that are easy to carry and don't take much space in pockets).  As he's just starting out, he doesn't exactly have access to stuff that the more veteran heroes do (not even close).

Weaknesses: The human condition.  As a human, he's got pretty much all the standard weaknesses that comes with being human, minus that which his regeneration can handle.  However, he must actually be able to breathe in order to regenerate, and corrosive acids negate his ability to heal.  In order for his photographic memory to work right, he has to be able to look at something for about 5-8 seconds, uninterrupted.

Backstory: The typical young man.  Had good grades (other than math, though he was hardly failing those classes), managed to keep up with his homework, had a part-time job... and then disaster struck.  Some thugs that were escaping from superheroes decided to barge into the day care center he was employed at and took the kids, and the caretakers, hostage in an effort to keep themselves from being caught.  Eventually, the heroes that were involved managed to get into the day care and smuggle most of the children out.  But the leader of the thugs caught onto what was happening and before he could be stopped, proceeded to shoot at one of the few remaining kids.

What happened next, as far as Isao knew, was that he woke up in the hospital, with a throbbing headache, roughly forty-eight hours later.  According to the witnesses, he had grabbed the kid and tucked him down just in time, and the bullet that had been fired had gone into his head before the superhero that had seen it could stop it from happening.  Isao fell, the thugs were dealt with, and he was rushed to the hospital.

It wasn't until the bullet that had been lodged in his brain was removed, though how exactly that had been managed wasn't told to him, that his body started to heal quickly.  The wound itself sealed up within hours, and the damage to his brain, well, within 48 hours, which led to his being awake afterward.  Tests upon tests were spent to make certain there was no brain damage, which resulted in the discovery that instead, he had gained far more than they thought he'd lost.  Though his memory before had been good, now it was nearly perfect with his newfound photographic memory, and his reflexes had been enhanced as well.

That was a year ago.  With his better than before reflexes and memory, Isao threw himself through rehab, and into karate and aikido classes.  He became a black belt within the year (after being a brown belt beforehand), and ranked to purple in aikido in the same span of time.  He started creating things to help him out in case things like that happened again, often carrying around a wooden baseball bat on his back.  Eventually, he began scaring off the bullies at school and that led to dealing with younger gangs that had thought to make his neighborhood their turf.  Most of the time, the worst that happened was capturing them with a net for the police to find, or just giving them a rough time 'til they gave up and eventually left his neighborhood alone.  He'd only had to use the baseball bat once, and that was to give himself a breather from the gang that had been trying to wear him down through attrition.

Mr Self Destruct

Player: Dark Clown

Name: Connor (Kon-El)

Codename: Superboy

Age: 5 (Looks 17)

Height: 6 ft

Weight: 150 pds

Appearance: Connor is a solid six feet in height and his form is fit and chiseled.  He is Superman’s clone and it shows in his impressive physique, although he isn’t overly bulky.  His hair is short and black, and his blue eyes are clear and always watching those around him.  He has no facial hair, though now and again he sports a day’s worth of stubble, liking the way it frames his jawline.  He wears a black t-shirt emblazoned with the red S of his icon, Superman, and a pair of blue jeans and leather boots.  He carries with him a leather jacket and a pair of dark sunglasses, too, though he tries not to wear them if he’s expecting trouble.

Powers: Super strength, limited flight, limited invulnerability, x-ray vision, super speed

Skills: Amazon combat training, limited practice with telepathy, some scientific knowledge from his time in Cadmus

Equipment: N/A

Weaknesses: Because of his Kryptonian DNA, he is vulnerable to kryptonite and magic.

Backstory: Connor was cloned from the DNA of Superman and Lex Luthor.  He was created to be Luthor’s personal superpowered son, and was controlled in Cadmus via telepathic control by various genomes that overwhelmed his thought processes.  During a raid by Robin, Aqualad, and Kid Flash, he was freed and joined the three heroes to fight his way to freedom.  Once freed, he met with Superman, only to have his hero turn away from him.
He joined the new junior league members to form their own group.  While he’s not actively dating Miss Martian or Wonder Girl, his time with them has helped increase his skill set.  He’s often seen as the impromptu leader on missions, and the pressure of that can cause some anxiety.  When frustrated, his temper shows, and has led him making impulsive decisions in the past.

Re Z L

Player:  Re Z L

Name:  Mark Lee

Codename:  Misfit

Age:  19

Height:  5'10"

Weight:  185 lbs

Appearance:

Powers:

Sorcery.  As a Homo Magi he is able to channel magical energies in the form of spells.  Basic abilities do not require incantation or other foci in order to cast, he is able to perform them by will alone.  He should, with time, practice and learning, be able to cast other more complicated spells while also growing his innate magical prowess.

Grok - He has the ability to intimately understand the function and working of any technology he comes into physical contact with.  Depending on the complexity of the technology he must remain in contact and concentrate (or "Grok") on it.  During this time he is less aware of his surroundings as his consciousness is truly navigating through the object.  Physical contact can shock him out of the machine but is jarring on his mind and can leave him disoriented.

Teleportation - He can teleport short distances without error, though he has to either see where he is going or have been within the room he wants to teleport into.  He is incapable of bringing other living beings with him.

Elemental.  The elements break down into six major categories:  Chaos, Order, Fire, Air, Water, and Earth.  Five of these elements are innate to his being, making channelling them particularly easy for him.  He is unable to channel the element of Order in any way.  Some suspect that he may be a new Avatar of Chaos, though he has no knowledge of that possibility.

Chaos - Something he refers to as his "non-zero chance", his magical ability to manipulate chaos manifests itself largely as just enhanced luck.  He can consciously concentrate this luck for particular effects, but most are minute (making coins land on their sides, getting extra money from an ATM, etc.).  Passively this makes him very accurate with ranged weapons and gives him the ability to dodge attacks more easily.

Fire - His ability to control elemental fire is limited.  He can create a roughly lighter-sized flame.  Warm his hands (or other parts of his body) enough to inflict first to second degree burns on others.  Shield himself from the heat of flames no larger or intense than a bonfire.

Air - Elemental air grants him the ability to manipulate things from afar, blowing out candles, knocking papers off of a desk, etc.  Eddies of wind can be created to shield him from slower moving projectiles (arrows or thrown weapons), or the density of air can be mildly altered for similar, slowing effects.  Moving air quickly enables him to build up a static charge which he can fire as bolts of electricity.

Water - Elemental water grants him control over the phase of liquids, though he quickly loses control of anything changed into gaseous form (ex. a puddle of water could be evaporated and blown away by his control over air).  Interestingly he can use this ability to heal others by augmenting their natural healing ability, though this can still take time (in the field he would only be able to stabilize wounded people).  Being in contact with water speeds his own healing dramatically.

Earth - While in contact with natural earth (or wood that is connected to the earth) his control of elemental earth grants him increased endurance and stamina to Olympic Athlete levels.  He can take blows that would normally knock out a human of his size and build.  Synthetic materials, to include metal alloys, concrete, asphault and similar substances block his contact with the earth.  This is his least developed ability due to living in the city most of his life.

Skills:

Sleight of Hand

Street Magic

Con Artist

Streetwise

Brawling

Billiards/Snooker

Being Sneaky

Equipment:

Pool Cue

Deck of Cards

Pack of Cigarettes

Weaknesses:

He has no specific weaknesses.  However he is still human and has all normal vulnerabilities associated with being human.

Backstory:  Growing up in London is difficult enough, growing up in foster care after your parents die in a house fire is a little bit harder.  His attitude had never been the greatest and he'd learned quickly how to take advantage of situations and people.  Street magic, as well as a little gambling on the side, got him some extra money from time to time and got him noticed by a passing fellow by the name of John from time to time.  John always seemed to know the ins and outs of the tricks, even the cons he tried to play on him.  They had a bit of rapport, but nothing that he really thought much of.

Meanwhile, on another side of the world, Dr. Fate had been getting premonitions, occluded though they were.  He sensed that a potential agent of chaos was emerging on earth.  Unable to fully divine the source of the disruption he went separately to two who he knew could track down the source:  The Question and Detective Bobo T. Chimpanzee.  The two took the clues that Dr. Fate gave them and decided it best to go their separate ways to persue different courses and compare notes along the way.  It wasn't long until their search brought them to another famous occultist John Constantine.

Constantine didn't seem too surprised by their inquiry and told them that he'd let them know if he found anything.  Constantine had already located the potential student of chaos in a young street magician, but decided to keep that fact to himself.  Instead of revealing him he took Mark under his wing and began to slowly push him in the direction of true magic.  It wasn't long before Detective Chimp realized what Constantine had been hiding and confronted him about it.  Constantine agreed to turn him over to Dr. Fate as long as he could be present with the boy at the time.  Bobo saw no reason not to allow him to tag along and contacted Dr. Fate to arrange the meeting.

Dr. Fate was uncertain with what to do with the boy.  He was dangerous, but still very inexperienced.  Constantine suggested he try to teach him a thing or two, and maybe put him on a team with others like him.  Dr. Fate took his recommendation under consideration and spoke with the other members of the Justice League.  After some deliberation they agreed to place him in the Young Justice program.

Actually not so much with the Daywalker thing, Looker used her telekinetic shielding powers to stop her being effected by sunlight. So if she was knocked unconscious, outside at midday she'd go up like a roman candle.
When Looker was bitten by a vampire the transformation had some unexpected results due to a combination of her meta-gene attributes. Unlike most vampires Looker is a Daywalker, hence most vampire afflictions against sunlight, holy symbols, and other such typical limitations Looker only has one major issue. She suffers from bloodlust, and has an dependence on human blood to keep up her strength and is the only nutrition for her "un-dead" form.

Due to previously being a metahuman, Emily was able to bypass some of the traditional vampiric weaknesses such as resistance to sunlight.

Both sites say it is due to her genes combined with the vampirsm not her powers shielding her.

CurvyKitten

The way it reads it is her genetics that did this not her powers, as it say she is a daywalker and doesn't have those weaknesses. The weakness they speak of is the blood lust. And the fact that her vampire powers are weaker as well as a physical draining of her body when she has not fed.

We adjusted the time line to fit her in the current setting.

And she still has weaknesses, that have already been looked over and excepted. She isn't without her weaknesses. And in the end it allows her to fit with the setting and interact with the characters more anyway.

Kryptonnite isn't an every day thing and in all honesty if that is her only weakness she still has a very large leg up on Looker.

apygoos

well mia brings up a good point the way i like to say it is, the more pwoeful you are, the larger of a weakness there is. Supergirl sans kryptonite and magic weaknesses is absolutely over powered, given that supergirl is stronger than superman.
And i did over look that small fact about power boy, the way i mplaying this, is there was no titans. If there were it would've been in nightwing's back story.
this discussion should perhaps be taken to the ooc.

Ex68471

Player: Ex68471

Name: Chris Orsson
Codename: Spark
Age: 19
Height: 5'10”
Weight: 127 lbs
Appearance:

When using his powers in public, in order to protect his identity, Chris' body becomes covered in a layer of moving electricity and flames.

Powers:
Thermal/Electrical Control: Chris can control thermal energy and electricity within 15 feet of his body. He can us this for a variety of strategies from absorbing enough heat to create ice, or superheating objects to the point of melting or evaporating. With a little concentration he can control open flames to within 5 feet of himself. He can, however, hurl them beyond this range, he simply loses control of their trajectory. While touching simple electrical machines, he can control the flow of electricity through it, effectively controlling the machine.

Thermal/Electrical Absorption: Chris can absorb and store thermal and electrical energy as well, expelling it when he feels the need to use it. As he stores more energy, his body temperature skyrockets immensely. After a certain point, he begins to feel discomfort, then pain beyond that, and has never absorbed enough to find his limit.

Body Enhancement: By manipulating the energy stored in his body, Chris can boost his strength, speed, and stamina immensely. If he boosts his strength or speed too far or too often, however, he begins to feel serious pain. He has yet to find any drawbacks to using his stored energy to refresh his stamina.

Mind Enhancement: Chris can increase his brain's processing power to rival that of a supercomputers by manipulating the electricity flowing through his synapses, making him hyperobservant and giving him a genius IQ and tactical prowess. The only drawback he has discovered to this is the headache which begins to appear a few hours after he ceases the increased performance.

Skills: Chris is far from an expert, but he is relatively proficient in both boxing and Tae Kwon Do from taking public classes, and is willing to learn more if a willing teacher is found. He can augment any of his strikes by increasing his strength and speed, and can further increase damage by wreathing his fists in flame or electricity. He also can run fairly fast even before enhancing himself with his powers. With his couple of years of wandering around the country, he has become quite the accomplished driver.

Equipment: Chris has three sets of heat-proof clothing, to facilitate using his powers without accidentally burning off his clothes. They generally consist of dark, loose-fitting pants and colored shirts. He also has a dark red Kawasaki Ninja that he modified to run solely through use of his thermal control powers. These were a gift from his mother and father respectively, so he is very protective of them.

Weaknesses: Chris does have upper limits to the energies he can absorb and wield, though he has yet to find where they are, as approaching them causes him discomfort and pain. When he is completely depleted, he is powerless until he can find more energy to absorb. Beyond his powers, he is a normal mortal human being, and is just as fragile as any other normal person. He also usually has a short temper when it comes to anything or anyone he holds dear.

Backstory: Chris was living a normal teenager's high school life in Metropolis, he had good grades, good friends, and a good family. Until his powers began to appear at age 15, and he accidentally blew up a gymnasium. After explaining that “Metahuman damage” was covered by their insurance, the school assured him that he could in fact stay, under the condition that he gain control of his powers. He took to this with fervor, and learned to control anything extreme within a couple of months. His parents were very supportive, even going so far as to help him train, albeit with the local fire department on standby. He turned 18 the week after he graduated high school, when his mother gave him a gift of a heat-resistant wardrobe, and his father gave him his old motorcycle, a Kawasaki Ninja. After tinkering with the bike, he said goodbye and began wandering throughout the country, getting by on odd jobs he'd pick up here and there.

Codename:Red Lantern

Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide
Powers:
■Rage Plasma: The Red Lantern can vomit plasma, which has been described as napalm and acid mixed together, it burns away at anything. It can be surmised that is the internal rages effect on the blood. These flames burn even in space. The effect it has on living beings allows it to ignite the flames of rage in a victims' blood and has the effect of burning through an energy aura of an opponent as well as corrupting other power rings depleting them at an accelerated rate and greatly weakening the structures they create.
■Energy Projection: The ring can be used to fire blasts of Rage energy. This power is unique as it takes the form of rage-energized blood. The ring can project this blood as a blast that has the effect of a concussive blast with high destructive capability. The weapon's power is more an indication of the Rage of the user, rather then their willpower.
■Energy Constructs: The ring can form constructs of Rage energy. The primary function of the Power Ring is to provide a weapon capable of transforming the wearer's thoughts into physical constructs through the wearer's rage. A Red Lantern can create any particular items or construct that they can imagine as long as they have the appropriate amount of rage necessary to will it into existence. The constructs are made out of red energy, which is a tangible form of pure rage, and they exist only as long as a Red Lantern is fueling it with their rage. Items created by the rings are not indestructible and are only as powerful as the rage of the Red Lantern creating them. The types of constructs usually reflects the ring wearer's personality.
■Force-Field: The ring can create various force-fields of various sizes and shapes to protect the wearer and others around him. With the cosmic duties of the ring wielder, it is only natural that the power ring is designed for operation in space. The ring creates a force-field around the wearer, protecting him/her/it from the hazards of the void including filtration of stellar radiation and microscopic particulate matter which would ordinarily be fatal should the space debris strike the ring wielder at high speeds. An atmosphere appropriate to the ring wielder's biology is created inside the force-field, body temperature is maintained and waste products are removed. Gravitational stresses which could cause injury are stabilized for the ring wielder. Theoretically, a ring wielder could use the ring as his/her/its sole source of life support. The forceful seems to be created instantaneously, whether this is due to programming or an instinctive reaction from intensive training has not been established.
Flight: By the manipulation of anti-gravitons and directed molecular movement, the ring allows the user to fly at incredible speeds.
■ Rage Infection: The Red Power Ring is capable of infecting others with the rage of the Red Lantern, which can lead to them being converted to the the Red Lantern CaRage ■Rage Empowerment: the Red Lantern ring is unique in that its base of power, Rage, can be manipulated by the ring user. A Red Lantern can detect the rage in the heart of others and by connection the heart that pumps that blood. The rage and hatred of a individual red lantern empowers their abilities as well as the rage and hatred of others.

Skills:Computer skills,
Equipment:red lantern ring red lantern power battery
Weaknesses:
■Life-Support Dependency: As the Red Power Ring assumes the functions of the heart, a Red Lantern cannot remove his ring without riskUncontrollablecontrollable Rage: The Red Lanterns suffered from literal uncontrollable rage, due to red being on the farthest edges of the emotional spectrum they were unable to think clearly or beHopeoned with.
■Hope Influence: The Blue light of hope can extinguish the red flame and depower a Red Lantern.
■Love Influence: Love can be fatal to a red lantern. Being the opposite of anger, any Red Lantern who feels love for another being will immediately be rejected by their ring and die without its life support.

Backstory: Joe grew up a computer nerd. His whole life he was consistently bully and picked on. He was invited to a party, only to be left in the middle of no where after he pass out.  Once he woke up. He wen in to a fit of rage yell and ranting. Joe felt a red light wash over him and everything go red. When he comes bake to he see every one from the party beaten nearly too death. Both of hands covered in blood.  A red lantern ring drops in to his right hand. Joe put the ring on his finger and spoke the words “With blood and rage of crimson red, ripped from a corpse so freshly dead, together with our hellish hate, we'll burn you all, that is your Fate! Joe notice that he never left where he was standing. Somehow when he put on the ring he learn of it powers almost instantly.

you could make him a Blue Lantern, though that would take some major editing of that story.

Yes, there is actually defined good and evil in the various Corps. I tend to stray away from the GLAS, it's good that its trying to stay true to the comics, but their grasp around the effects of a Red Ring are sorely off base. The user has no will over the Rage, the Rage controls the user to commit certain acts, much like how love controls the Star Sapphires and how Avarice controls Larfleeze. Many of these acts are quite evil indeed, like how Atrocitus wants to rule the universe with his hellish hate, or how Sinestros wishes to grip the universe in fear to keep it in order. There are indeed defined good and evil between the Corps.

maybe i just dont see good and evil the way you do.  I dont see useing love, Compassion, Hope, Will, Avarice, fear or rage as being purely good or purely evil. i look at it like a sword, in one person hands it can enslave, in anothers hands it can set people free.

life and death are another story. i will agree to disagree.

Green lantern app

Player:Zenpai
Name: Ju'kun    Earth name Jospeh knight
Codename:green Lantern
Age: 17
Height: 5'8
Weight:200lb
Appearance:
looks like a dark skin human male
wares the normal green lantern uniform

Powers:
■Energy Projection: The ring can be used to fire blasts of Oan energy or create weapons such as projectiles of them. The ring can project beams of force powered by the will of the user. The ring can be used to produce kryptonite and kryptonite radiation. Their appearance does not indicate the power of the weapon. The weapon's power is more an indication of the will of the user. Certain users (i.e. Hal Jordan) have been powerful enough to stagger even Superman. If the user wishes, they can alter the form of the blasts such as Kilowog's "booms."
■Force Field: The ring can create various force fields of various sizes and shapes to protect the wearer and others around him. With the cosmic scope of a Green Lantern's duties, it is only natural that the power ring is designed for operation in space. The ring creates a force field around the wearer, protecting him/her/it from the hazards of the void including filtration of stellar radiation and microscopic particulate matter which would ordinarily be fatal should the space debris strike the ring wielder at high speeds. An atmosphere appropriate to the ring wielder's biology is created inside the force-field while body temperature is maintained and waste products are removed. Gravitational stresses which could cause injury are stabilized for the ring wielder. Theoretically, a ring wielder could use the ring as his/her/its sole source of life support. The force field seems to be created instantaneously whether this is due to programming or an instinctive reaction from intensive training has not been established. It could be considered as a subroutine of the ring's automatic defensive system, but as of yet this theory has not been proven. The only exception to that was attacks based on the color yellow. The newer version of the ring is not limited by the color yellow.
■Energy Constructs: The ring can form constructs of Oan energy. The primary function of the Power Ring is to provide a weapon capable of transforming the wearer's thoughts into physical constructs through the wearer's strength of willpower. A Green Lantern can create any particular items or construct that they can imagine as long as they have the willpower necessary to will it into existence. The constructs are made out of bright green energy, which is a tangible form of pure willpower, and they exist only as long as a Green Lantern is fueling it with their willpower. Items created by the rings are not indestructible and are only as powerful as the willpower of the Green Lantern creating them. The types of constructs usually reflects the ring wearer's personality. For example, Kyle Rayner was an artist, so his constructs reflect his strong imagination. John Stewart is an architect so his constructs often appear mechanical as if he designed them in his mind before making them a reality.
■Phasing: The Power Ring allows the wearer to pass through certain solid objects such as walls. Which objects that are not penetrable are not known, but it may depend upon the strength of the wearer's willpower and the density of the object's molecular structure.
■Energy Twin: The power ring allows the wearer to create an "energy twin" of his/her/itself that can travel at far greater speeds than that of the ring wielder's physical form. While the energy twin is active the ring wielder remains motionless, his/her/its life force is needed to guide the energy twin. The energy twin can not alter its surroundings and may only be perceived by the Guardians or another ring wielder as a green, ghostlike image. Any knowledge gained by the energy twin is transferred back to the ring wielder's physical form upon recontact with the body.
■Energy Absorption: The ring can absorb and store other energies. Doing so does NOT replenish the normal store of energy the ring has. A ring that needs recharging but contained a store of electricity could only discharge that electricity, for example.
■Flight: By the manipulation of anti-gravitons and directed molecular movement, the ring allows the user to fly at incredible speeds. In atmosphere, a Green Lantern has been known to fly as fast as Mach 10 in atmosphere by creating an aerodynamic envelope around his body. Towing others, usually within a bubble, his speed is limited to the twice the speed of sound or 1440 mph. In space, Green Lantern's speed can be significantly greater and has been known to approach 99% of light speed in normal space. Flight has been shown to be velocities far exceeding light speed. In atmospheres, air friction is not a hindrance since heat is either absorbed or reflected by the ring's field.
■Superhuman Strength: While not super strength of the conventional sense, a Lantern while using constructs created by the ring becomes capable of lifting/moving tremendous weights far heavier than 100 tons with little effort.
■Wormholes & Spacial Warps: The power ring grants its wearer access to wormholes in space, enabling the ring wielder to rapidly cut time and distance needed for transport. The Guardians established at least one known wormhole to Oa, which required the use of a power ring to enter. Black holes can be navigated by experienced ring wielders.
■Limited Cellular Regeneration: The ring has an ability to heal physical injuries; this seems to be a feature held over from the previous incarnations of the ring. Green Lantern can use the ring to repair injuries in himself or others.
■Electromagnetic Scanning: The ring has a wide range of detection abilities based on the imagination of the user. If one can conceive of it, he can probably detect it. Magical effects like clairvoyance seem to be beyond the scope of the ring. Most normal electromagnetic phenomena are within the range of the ring, including radio, radar, television, infrared, ultraviolet, microwave, and high frequency band communications.
■Universal Translator:
■Emergency Beacon: A Green Lantern in distress can use his/her/its power ring as an emergency beacon. The alert can be directed to a Green Lantern's neighboring sector, or it can be a Corps-wide alert.
■Homing Beacon: A homing beacon in the power ring can lead one Green Lantern to another. This was one of the recent power ring upgrade features added by the Guardians of the Universe. The power ring can be ordered to disguise itself to elude power ring wielding trackers. Most often ring wielders will allow the beacon to signal their location to others.
■Mind Alteration: Though the ethics of mind tampering may be debatable, sometimes it is necessary. As the power ring relies on thought and will to operate, mind tampering is not impossible. The real difficulty lies in properly applying the power. There lies a risk of catastrophic damage to the mind should mistakes be made. A ring wielder can use the power ring to erase portions of an individual's memories. They are taught to build mental defenses to protect themselves from psionic attack. The power ring can also be used to beam information from the ring wielder to another being. Green Lanterns have used this technique to share information regarding their enemies during combat situations.
■Preset Conditions: Commands can be stored in the ring to be executed at a later date even if the bearer is not wearing the ring.
■Thought Relay: Otherwise known as a telepathic link.

Skills: Extraterrestrial Biology- superhuman taste, touch, and  smell.

Equipment:Green lantern ring and power battery
Weaknesses: Mental Instability Protocol: Drug use, neural interference, vertigo or other forms of mental incapacitation can render the wearer unable to use their ring, rendered useless.

Recharge Protocol: Formerly, the rings needed to be charged after a period of one planetary axial rotation (dependent on each ring's location), regardless of how often it was used.

Humanoid females: not used to being around them.

Backstory: Ju'kun was born planet where men lived on one side and women on the other. The only time men and women meet was to reproduce. Ju'kun at a young age showed the skill to to use the power of the green lantern. The former green lantern on his plant was ju'kun birth father. As gift ju'kun was given an a copy of his father ring. Ju'kun master the ring as best he could. Ju'kun's home planet was destroyed by a solar flare. His father sent him to Oa with the last of his power. Ju'kun recently completed his train as a lantern    and  was assigned as a back up too earth.

Would a character with Molecular immobilization and Molecular combustion be welcome here?  I have a specific Idea for a character that flowed really good and It got my muse a going.

apygoos

that sounds pretty powerful, who exactly would these powers be put into application?

RainbowRian

An OC, But things can be adjusted power wise.  Curvy and I had a certain way we wanted to play some characters out as but before I sent in a sheet to be looked over I wanted to know if its something that could be used in this game

apygoos

could you give an example of these powes in action?

RainbowRian

Piper from charmed.  A little adjusted for age and experience and such.

CurvyKitten

Glomps Rainbow~ YAAY..hehe I'd love to work out our OC here. :) and get our rp on together.

so do i need to change anything with my app or am i good to go.

the power to stop ANYTHING near instantly is pretty over powered. Its like an OC I met on another comic board that was called Kami, who had molecular control of kinetics,  What if you changed the power to telekinesis? It could work simmilarly.

RainbowRian

Eh, Nah I think I will pass on it because she only has two powers.  But no big deal thanks for pondering the idea though and happy posting :)

apygoos

okay, very well, sorry, but that power seems..to have nearly no limits. any power that can be described down to the molecular level is pretty damn powerful. It's nothing against your concept, but I'm trying to make sure theres no, one button fix

RainbowRian

Okie Doke. Im slightly confused but it happens often :D

Less is definitely more with a roleplay like this one. I don't think YJ was meant to be on the same level power-wise as Justice League or The Avengers.
The problem with overpowered characters is that it's hard to write convincingly threatening villains for characters like this without coming across as plot induced stupid,  the idea is that you want to compliment the team, I like Michael Jordan I just don't want a team of them.  Even blue beetle who is arguably the teams powerhouse, is barely stronger than many of the villains that the team face so he has to rely and co-operate with the team and vice versa.  A big part of YJ is the team compensating for whatever individual weaknes with superior teamwork/co-ordination.  That's how they won all their battles pretty much.  I personally think a green lantern and someone who can manipulate molecules is too much . There's a reason why they don't have a green lantern currently in the cast.

apygoos

yes but a GL in training is not nearly as powerful as say, Hal Jordan, and is far more vulnerable than someone who can outright something in motion.

RainbowRian

The one button fix portion of your statement.  But its really fine, its not good for a minimum power base game like young justice league.

How about this, how about he starts with only some of the rings powers and as the game progress, hell grow into the role learning more and more ways to use his ring. This is sensible, but he can't start with all those powers and barely any weaknesses. He needs a real weakness too. Like weak to magic.

this may sound funny but i cut out a lot of the green lantern power to begain with lol

Sorry to disrupt your flow. I will bow out. I have no intenion on makeing my Oc any weaker then he is already. best wishes
