Wall of Text Warning:: The upcoming portion of this post really has nothing to do with the overall sign-up…it just sets the stage for the first job the characters will undertake in game, and introduces three characters I will be using. If you just want to cut to the chase, skip past the italicized part.


”So, Mr. Jones, what makes you think you need the services of my company?”

Mr. Dennis Jones, owner and operator of the 23rd National Bank, took a second to collect his thoughts. He found himself looking into the faces of three people, including the CEO of Big Bad Wolf Limited, Lou P. Grey, who was looking at Jones with a look and smile that could only be called predatory. The CEO was smartly dressed in a white suit with a black colored shirt, his longish graying hair combed backwards. To his left sat a man who was not so sharp looking. A somewhat ill-fitting business suit of faded back hung loosely from his body, and his short dirty blonde hair looked like it hadn’t been combed all day, and he wore a pair of sunglasses even in the darkened office. The blonde man, whom Mr. Grey had referred to as Whistler, had been smiling since Mr. Jones had entered to room. To Grey’s left sat a young brunette, whom Mr. Grey had introduced as Natalie Sommers, who was awfully easy on the eyes, , so much so that Mr. Jones found his gaze drifting her way every now and then during the meeting up to this point. She was dressed in a black jacket over a white blouse and a white skirt, with her hair tied in a ponytail behind her head.

Grey cleared his throat, and Jones snapped out of his reverie, and got to the business at hand. “My apologizes, Mr. Grey. Truthfully, many in my company see my coming here as a waste of time, however, a number of events have occurred that lead me to believe that someone may be planning on stealing the money in my bank’s vault.”

Grey nodded, the picture of a predator in wait. “Such as?”

Dennis Jones swallowed, unnerved by Grey’s stare. The fact that Whistler was still smiling openly didn’t really help. “Undoubtedly, you heard of the subway bombing that happened a few days ago?”

Grey nodded. “Aye. Some dolt blew up an empty subway car at midnight…the morons meant to blow it up at noon during the lunch rush to pile up a body count, but set the timer wrong.”

Jones blinked a few times. “I wasn’t aware of that. How do you know?”

“We have our ways,” Grey said. Whistler’s grin grew wider. “Anyways, you were saying?”

Jones coughed. “Yes, well…at it turns out, the explosion took place in close proximity to my building…very close. In fact, the subway exploded at the point where there is the least amount of distance between the subway tunnel and our underground vault. Of course, since it happened at night, all our alarms and such were on, and the force was enough to shake loose or simply destroy many of our sensors. In fact, the damage was so extensive that, truthfully, the vault’s alarm system hasn’t been in working order since the blast. During this time, the clean-up project has continued in the tunnel. The city told us at first that it would only be three day operation to clean and repair the tunnel. However, the repair teams are still working down there a week later, and all I can get from their foreman is that they have run into ‘unexpected difficulties.’”

“And you fear that the crews working on the tunnel are actually after your vault?” Grey asked.

Jones nodded. “Yes. At the moment, we have more money in the vault than we usually do, because two of our other branches are under reconstruction, so we have three banks worth of money in our vault, and nowhere to move it to while our system is repaired.”

“And you believe they will strike soon because…”

“Our alarm system is slated to be fully repaired in two days. Given the irregularity of the situation, and the timing of events, as the one in charge of the vault, I can’t help but be suspicious and worried.”

Grey nodded, and smiled. “Of course. Truth be told, we had already decided on his case before our meeting, but I like to hear it from the source before I commit my people. However, I must agree with your assessment of the situation, and we accept the job offer. Whistler will be my man on the scene, and Ms. Sommers will be your direct contact with us. Now, allow me to bring in my lawyers and write up a proper contract…”


Characters will be limited to human or near-human species. By near-human, I mean a species that can easily pass for a human under most conditions. For example, Lou P. Grey, CEO and one of the co-founders of Big Bad Wolf Limited, is a were-wolf (which works out alright…he just has take a little vacation very month). Feel free to get exotic, just don’t try anything too superpowerful, or I will veto you.

Magic doesn’t exist, per se. Instead, the world of BBWL uses psychic powers…which is basically like magic…but different. I only have a few stipulations in regards to psychic powers:

1) You are limited to one category of power. For example, if you are telekinetic, you can’t be a fire-starter too, or visa versa.

2) No mind reading (with the exception of Natalie Sommers...which is my character) because that would be a pain to deal with for me as the GM and too easy for a PC to abuse in a fight or whatnot.

3) If you are a psychic, that is going to be main thing. Of course, you’ll still have basic training and what not (be able to fire a gun and has some hand-to-hand skills), but since you’ve been training your mind, a guy who has been training with a gun and his body all this time will kick your butt in a hand-to-hand battle or a gunfight.

4) Try not to go overboard. If you say you can throw garbage trucks with your mind, or cause city-destroying firestorms, I’m going to veto you. While psychic powers are extraordinary, their not terrible uncommon in your line of work, so it doesn’t make you god-like.

Setting will be modern day…but I’ll allow some near-future technology for a character. Sorry, no power armor or over the top stuff like that, but if you want a laser rifle and can come up with a good reason to have one, I’ll let you have it. The key words in that last sentence were “good” and “reason”.

Description/Personality: What does your character look like, how do they act…rather simple, yes?

Bio/Background: The history of your character. I’ll ask for a least a little effort in this department, if you please.

Name: Whistler

Age: Technically unknown. Claims to have eternal life, and looks to be about 30.

Sex: Male

Class: Jack-of-all-Trades Soldier…or Soldier-of-all-Trades. Whistler is skilled in both ranged and close combat, with both archaic and modern weapons. Again, he claims this is because of his long life.

Equipment: Gladius-style short sword, .45 Colt SAA, and two “Tommy-gun” style Thompson sub-machine guns.

Description/Personality: Whistler is almost always dressed in an ill-fitting black suit (it’s a little too big for him), and his short, dirty-blonde hair looks like it was never combed properly after he dried it with a towel. He also usually wears a pair of sunglasses, even inside or at night when he can, but he will take them off if they are slowing him down.

Whistler is a very good natured person (sometimes annoyingly so), and is almost always smiling (again, sometimes annoying so). He doesn’t get mad often, though when he does, it’s usually a hum-dinger of a reaction, he honestly can’t say there are too many people he flat out hates.

Bio/Background: Whistler claims that, long ago, he somehow gained eternal life, and as such, hasn’t aged a day since. Not immortality, he says…he’s pretty sure he can be killed, and has been at death’s door a number of times throughout his life. While the notion is generally absurd, there is a few interesting bits of information that make is seem a little more likely (like the authentic gladius he uses, the fact that he speaks fluent Latin and a number of other languages… And if you get him drunk enough, he’ll claim that no one partied like the Romans did).

Whether or not his claims are true are generally beside the point when it comes to the daily working of Big Bad Wolf Limited. Whistler has been with the company for a long time, and as such, despite his little…’quirks’, is often chosen to tackle the more dangerous, and as such, high-paying jobs for the company. He does, however, seem to have some minor problems. He tends to whistle the “The Ode to Joy” some habitually, and is also sometimes an annoying eternal optimist.

Name: Natalie Sommers

Age: 26

Sex: Female

Class: Psychic Mind Reader

Equipment/Abilities: Natalie is usually not a field agent, so she doesn’t carry much in the way of weapons, just a small-caliber handgun. Her main skill is that she is a mind reader. This means she can easily access the surface thoughts of a person, and given time, can dig deeper into the memory to find what she is looking for. Mind readers can also tell when someone is trying to read their minds of the minds of the people around them, and can act as a shield against that (comes down to a battle of wills…which Natalie is very good at).

Description/Personality: Natalie is a very pretty brunette who dresses very business like when on the job, favoring jackets with blouses and skirts. She is often seeing carrying a case of some kind, which is not to strange since she is Mr. Grey’s assistant, and is usually carrying paperwork for any given case. She is friendly, but very professional on the job. And she can…you know…read minds (even though she usually tries not to), so keep an eye on your thoughts.

Bio/Background: Even among psychics, mind readers are very rare. As you can imaging, being able to read minds made for a very “different” childhood for Natalie. Sometimes good, sometimes bad…sometimes really bad. Despite this, however, she managed to keep her powers a secret for most of her life. It was until a few years ago that a Mr. Jeffrey Portrait, one of the now retired co-founders of Big Bad Wolf Limited, and a psychic, stumbled upon her quite on accident on a job. A short time later, Natalie was at BBWL both as the CEOs assistant and mind reading shield.

Mr. Grey isn’t going to do field work, and as such, I don’t really need to write up a bio for him.

Quick note, this RP will be battle heavy. Unless you're making a joke character, which I will accept if it seems like it could work, make your character so it can fuck some shit up.

Also, this will have little in the way for sexy interludes, sorry. But it will have plenty of opportunities for blood'n'guts, so get your aggro on!

Age: 19 (Is this acceptable? I can change it, I just have a thing about younger characters.)

Sex: Female

Class: Psychic Dark Illusionist

Equipment/Abilities: Her ability is that of illusions, dark and painful. Her strength depends on many factors, and the harshness of her abilities vary with her concentration. It can range anywhere from the annoying gnats to accessing memories long buried and resurfacing them so that the victim is forced to relive it. Unlike mind reading, this memory is not sought out... It just appears at random. Some of these require something as little as eye contact to close proximity to even have tasting their blood. For her, some of the strongest illusions can only be pulled off if she tastes the blood of the intended victim(from a simple scratch or cut... No she is not a vampire LOL). Every 'mind tap', as she calls it, zaps her energy. In some cases she has been left unconscious and nearly dead... in addition to the energy zap, she is plagued with nightmares constantly. She has developed a bit of a paranoia, and so carries a single dagger and a small pistol with her everywhere.

Description/Personality: Sky is a tall, young woman with extremely long black hair. Her long locks are naturally straight and reach down to the small of her back. Her skin is pale and this mixed with her dark hair really makes her saphire eyes stand out. She is slender and always shows this off, often wearing tight and flexible clothing. She is an extremely observant person, often paying more attention to the world around her than her own body. Sometimes she zones out for hours, not eating or sleeping or drinking. She is extremely impassive, not caring much for others and yet she hates to see people pick on those smaller than themselves. No body but her twin brother can explain this one single emotion that rises from a sea of black.

Bio/Background: Skylar Brookes is the twin sister of Jacob Brookes. Both she and her brother are psychics and are quite similar in build but their personalities are polar opposites. She hates talking about her past, in fact she hates talking at all. Even when she does, her voice is usually devoid of emotion and her words are of logic and not of opinion. Often when asked about her past she will fall silent and walk away.

Age: 19 (?)

Sex: Male

Class: Psychic Light Illusionist

Equipment/Abilities: His abilities are much like that of his sister's only instead of bringing about a sense of doom, he brings about a sense of peace and tranquility. He is the balance to her powers, making sure that she doesn't step out of line. His abilities work the same way Skylar's do, except for the blood. Instead of blood it just has to be personal contact (holding hands or even kissing). He usually works at canceling out his sister's attacks on others, just to be sure she doesn't kill accentally but it takes just as much of a toll on him as it does her.

Description/Personality: Jake is just as tall as his sister, thin and angelic looking. His skin is slightly sunkissed, his blond hair streaked with brown highlights and his grey eyes are cool and soothing. He never wants to hurt people and cares only for his sister. He follows her everywhere, making sure she doesn't get into trouble. Jake is also quite emotional, feeling everything in full and not afraid to show it. He is a quick learner but he still knows that what he feels is who he is and that it wont ever change.

Bio/Background: He discovered his ability at a young age, triggered by a traumatic event that occurred in his house. Skylar warns him not to speak of the matter, that she will reveal the darkest secrets of her life when she was ready. He however, when asked, will just reply that their childhood was rough and that it was their psychic abilities that pulled them through. They had no idea how to use them and went solely on instinct but managed to survive. Other than that he wouldn't say, but its something that haunts him to the present day. After the incident Sky decided to live on the streets, but the frightened youth began torturing people to death when Jake wasn't looking. He had made the decision then to run to BBWL for he had heard alot about it from his dad (who worked there previously but had been recently fired). The children were nine years old when they left home and were ten when they began training with Big Bad Wolf Limited putting them members for about nine years.

Animegurl5: The characters look good. The only thing I'd like to see is maybe how they come to join the organization, maybe how long they've been there. Just more information on them and their background. But the abilities look well balanced, and their ages are not a problem at all.

Name: Erika Staern
Age: 30
Sex: Female
Class: Ex-Special Forces
Equipment/Abilities: A Raging Bull (Large Modern Revolver), Three throwing knives and a stiletto knife.
Description/Personality: Erika is a harrowed and negative woman, her ideals and justice shattered in line of duty. This experience gives her a world-weary and dry sense of humor, but gives her a drive, a need to restore her broken dreams and mend her bitter, regretful heart.
Bio/Background: Erika had been a strange girl, always loving her country of birth, America, above her country of blood, Sweden. This love gave her a drive, to preserve and protect the freedom of her wonderful country, leading her to sign up at the age of eighteen for the United States Military. Showing an exceptional aptitude in training, they drafted her into a special operations training program, drilling into her the idea of country over comrades, mission over self. This same thing was repeated for two years whilst she was learning how to wield the modern day weaponry in the highest of expertise. Her first few missions went perfectly, in and out, target killed, sabotaged or captured. On her sixth, someone inside had betrayed her squad and it came down to either detonating an explosive device that was wired in the enemy base, costing her comrades their lives and numerous other civilian hostages theirs, or completing her mission and destroying/ killing a significant enemy asset. In the end, she chose the mission, her friends and comrades killed along with a number of civilians, their blood on her hands. Even so, Erika was awarded the medal of valor, and promoted twice, but she was defeated, her ideals shattered and what little innocence gone. Erika resigned a day after the promotions and had a tough time in the next few years, albeit with a supportive family and friends. Erika had only the skills to kill and destroy, but she joined up with a private security contractor, hoping to someday repair her broken ideals.

Appearance: (since I did the personality up there) Erika has long blonde hair drawn into a tight ponytail and she is rather small, standing about 5,7 and weighing only 140 pounds. Her standard combat gear is a tightly drawn Kevlar vest, mostly for impact absorption and a pair of combat gloves and boots, all in urban camouflage. (Below picture is supposed to be her physical looks, the stupid clothes don't fit in line with her personality or training at all >.<)

Okay. Here's my character. Hope she's okay!

Appearance

Name: Olive Thomas (Codename Power Surge)
Age: 5 years (appears 20-ish)
Sex: Female
Class: Android

Equipment/Abilities: She can communicate wirelessly to other technology with forms of wireless interface. She can also plug herself into technology that does not have any kind of wireless interface, as well to those that do to get further information. This makes her an effective hacker, and spy, as well weapon. Given the fact that she can hack, change, and shut down, almost anything that is electrical. She is, as Mr Gray calls her, his "walking computer and security system".

(I'll understand if this weapon is too much) Her weapon of choice was made specifically for her. It is a laser/energy katana/stun gun. When off it looks somewhere a silver metal handle to a katana sword. However upon pressing a hidden button a laser/energy beam in the shape of a katana blade appears. The color of this blade depends on the swords setting, from red (which is its low setting), weak enough to only due minor damage to human skin, all the way up to blue (its high setting), strong enough to cut through most metals. There is also another hidden button that releases a small burst of pink energy, that will stun most targets if hit (much the same effect as a taser)

Description/Personality: Olive has two personalities depending on rather her personality chip is on.
Her human personality is "badass tough girl". She always has an attitude in her tone of voice, she's very sarcastic and tends to act like she doesn't give a crap.
Her Android personality, or rather lack of personality, is just what you'd expect. Emotionless, blank, logical, only caring about the facts.
Background: Olive was created by an genius of a scientist, who was a good friend of Mr Gray. After the lost of hid beloved daughter Olivia, Dr Tomas (the scientist) started working in a project to create an Android. He modeled the Android completely after his daughter, from her looks to her personality. It took many years, but at last he completed his work. He named the Android after his daughter, simply changing Olivia to Olive, and he died only six months later. However, he knew his death was soon to come, so he left his prize creation in Mr Gray's hands, where she had been ever since.

Equipment/Abilities: The abilities of vampires (classic vampires not Twilight version), hypnotism and seduction aura.

Description/Personality:

Appearance

Larissa is a young vampire, a bit over 200 years old she is still in the middle between human emotions and the coldness and cruelty of vampires. Her pale skin is decorated with several tattoos that were inked on her after she was transformed, carefully hidden under her clothes so only those she allows intimate contact are able to see them.

Bio/Background: Larz was a girl who lived in the end of the 18th century. Keeping the traditions of that era, she wears semi-Victorian clothes. She also witnessed the rapid growth of modern society from the start of the steam age till the invention of rockets. Being transformed by one of the ancient vampires who used the natural way of luring girls in, seducing her to fall in love with him and then transformed her in their wedding night and leaving her all alone. She dedicated the rest of her life to find him.

She continued to live on, hidden in the shadows of the night and moving from city to city, country to country whenever people suspected her. Specially that she never leaves her house except at night or in very cloudy and rainy days. Her life in modern days is somehow easier, her paleness and weird behavior can pass unnoticed. Hunting her victims from very crowded places as she uses her talents to feed herself.


ٍShe joined the BBWL after being seen doing one of her "interrogations" with a victim she thought he had information about the whereabouts of her maker. Accepting their offer she knew she will have a wider circle to seek him in. Finally getting closer to her goal.

Alright, a couple things... Firstly, how did Larissa come to be with a mercenary group such as BBW? And secondly, minor continuity error, you list her age as over 200 years, but in her description you state she is only 100 years old.  Just a little something I noticed.
