I know this seems like a really dumb question, but if one does not have a vegetable steamer, one can cook carrots by boiling them, right?

You indeed can. If you've got baby carrots it'll maybe like 5 minutes but I put mine on longer because I like them really soft.

That's what I thought, but it's been a while since I've made carrots.

Yeah, though you should consider getting one later. They should be pretty cheap? Like the basic ones you put into a pot?

Real cheap.  Although, if you have a small metal colander, it'll work just as well.

Can slice em up and fry em too. Turns out great (I usually cut up carrots and onion and fry along with porkchops). Cant really mess up carrots all that much. Good little suckers that way.

You can also cook carrots but cutting them into small slices and putting them in an air fryer if you have one, after putting a bit of butter on them and any seasonings, (on top of tin foil. My favorite way to make them)

I just boiled the baby carrots until they were tender.  Then I made a honey butter bourbon sauce for on them.  It's good.
