Have they done anything with Max Mercury yet? I think I saw him in the comics and he was Bart Allen's mentor for a while.
There is quiet a list of speedsters (or at least potential speedsters) announced for the show Barry Allen, Jay Garrick, Wally West, Jesse Chambers, Zoom but so far no Max Mercury, Bart Allen, Iris West and so on.
If found acting like an idiot, apply Gibbs-slap to reboot system.

They have added a Firestorm villain to the cast for Flash. Demore Barnes has been cast as Tomahawk.

Man of Steel 2 has been put permenantly on hold despite talks with George Miller to helm the sequel. Interesting development. I wonder what this means for other individual movies and other upcoming ones. Wonder Woman already had a previous director drop out due to "creative differences".

Seems there is a Blade movie in the works. But, it will focus on Blade's daughter instead.

That'd be Tokamak not Tomahawk, or to put it another way a Russian design for a nuclear reactor and not a stone headed axe  :P

Is there a lot of material on her in the comics or would him having a daughter be an original character entirely? Is she also a dhampir or is she more like a 1/4 vampire? But I'd rather have the original Blade character, even if it's not Wesley Snipes. Still, don't know if anyone could do as good as him but I'd like to see them put their best foot forward and try. Hell, they could have Snipes be the original Blade in flashbacks so we could get some background on where he comes from and weave the daughter's story around that. Her trying to live up to her father's reputation like how Scott Lang is trying to live up to Hank Pym's.

What I read, is that she is like the opposite of Peter Parker. Popular in school, well-liked, pretty much perfect in all she does. Then she learns she is the daughter of Blade, heir to Daywalking killing monster legacy. They say that Snipes would be in a mentor role, guiding her. But, interestingly, I can not find any information on her for the comics.

Mini update: Found the info. I tried looking up Fallon Grey, took a bit to surf through the links but found it. Blade's daughter won't debut in her own comic title till October 1 2015. Title is Blade the Hunter.

So then this probably isn't the BEST idea since they don't have any established comic lore to draw from for inspiration, unless they use her father's exploits for her. I just don't like the idea of a legacy happening without some backstory. Ant-Man did a good job with actually showing Hank Pym passing the torch on to Scott Lang, I wouldn't want this other attempt not to have a decent amount of that, since it's more of a physical legacy and not just technological.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has updated with new casting info. Former NFL player Matther Willig has been cast to play the Inhuman Lash whose loyalties are unknown. Constance Zimmer has been cast in a role, but the name of her character is not being released only that she is the leader of the ATCU (Advanced Threat Containment Unit).

They'll probably develop the movie along with the comic book. Though development for the movie takes longer, they'll probably have at least five or so issues out before the movie pre-production gets underway.

That sounds like it ties in WAY too closely with Civil War for them not to be mentioned or featured. Come on, Marvel, put Coulson back into play! The end of Phase 1 with his 'death' makes him appearing at the debut of Phase 3 (when his role becomes the most meaningful that it possibly can be) a perfect time to bring in the Son of Coul again.

I just wish he hadn't lost a hand, that seems really unnecessary. Also how did Fitz just overcome his brain damage without any intervention? It's not like they couldn't have invented some B.S. magic thing that would have fixed him like bringing Coulson back to life.

Actually, that reminds me of another question about the end of AoS season 2 (going to use spoilers til it's out on DVD, unless anyone thinks that is unnecessary).

Isn't there another Inhumans settlement besides Afterlife? I think I remember hearing about it in the Hulk and the Agents of SMASH show, where Black Bolt is the king but I don't remember what it was called. They have what looked like a much larger population and everyone was Inhuman instead of just 'potentials' waiting to become gifted.

In the comics, Black Bolt ruled over a colony of Inhumans who lived on the Moon. Medusa was his wife, Crystal, their daughter who married Quicksilver. They had a dog, Grimjaw who pretty much teleported them to and from the colony.

Season 3
Apparently, the Terrigen Crystals have spread throughout the world which will cause others with potential for powers to start appearing.

They haven't revealed much detail about Simmons and what happened to her when she got sucked into the crystal. If I remember right, the actress was surprised, and didn't think that the writers would go there were about the only revealations so far.

With more people with powers becoming known, it changes the who game. Coulson could appear in one of the end credits segments?

Was it a crystal or a stone pillar? I can't remember. But yeah, that totally threw me for a loop. And yeah, i saw the Terrigen stuff that sank to the bottom of the ocean getting into fish which were then caught and made into food, so not only are there going to be more unintentional Inhumans created, but innocent people (in the thousands!) are going to be turning to stone. I guess nobody thought about the repercussions of that little unfortunate side effect before they decided to go with that cliffhanger style conclusion.

They really should integrate the Netflix stuff more with AoS, or vice-versa. Let SHIELD be dealing with headlines about the Daredevil of Hell's Kitchen, the reappearance of vigilante heroine Jessica Jones from her mysterious retirement, etc., if they don't want to devote time to that on the Netflix shows themselves. I'm sure all the people who find AoS a bit too tame or boring won't object to that becoming part of their domain instead.

Also, does anyone else think it was a mistake making Grant Ward unredeemable? I mean, if he had only wounded Victoria Hand and the other SHIELD agents escorting John Garrett, instead of murdering them in cold blood, he could at least have tried to earn back his place on the team. But that one event, that fucked any chance he ever had of being back in their good graces. A confused guy trying to repay the only true mentor he had, that at least could be understandable, until he put the bullets into those people. Ah well.

If the crystal is broken up, or the mist is now airborne, it might work differently then it did on Skye and Raina. Was it revealed how the other Inhumans got their powers, like Skye's mother?

From the way the shows are shaping up it looks like there will be crossovers. Everything is set within the same universe, and their missions might cause them to cross paths with Daredevil, etc. Especially with it hinted at Coulson and Skye are working to find those with powers and bring them to the training facility that was being built.

I think at some point in season 2, Ward was almost redeemed. Coulson went to him and asked Ward to find Skye. Apparently there was a chance of him undergoing a proceedure to erase the memories of what he did, but the team flat out rejected him returning, and Skye shooting him in the back didn't help. Garrett saw that Ward was in a position where he could manipulate him even further by appearing to be a friend and mentor. Playing on the insecurities, anger, and longing for a place to belong. Ward could have killed Fitz and Simmons, but didn't. He could have rigged and explosive charge to the med unit before dropping it out of the plane. There is probably some part of him that is still redeemable. Look at Gambit, he played a role in the Morlock Massacre which was carried out by Mr. Sinister's Marauder's. For a time the X-Men didn't trust him, nor want him around. But, eventually, he earned their trust back.

It depends what the writers have in store for Ward. He could continue down a dark path, or continues on a journey to figure out which world he wants to be in. He's walked in both worlds, and his story seems to have in torn between them. Who knows, he might turn into a double agent and work for Coulson while working within what remains of Hydra. But, Skye and the others won't be told this.

I know Ward was trying, and honestly, if he had only wounded those three people instead of murdering them, I'd have been on board to forgive and forget if he could prove himself. But he crossed a line he couldn't come back from. All the subsequent stuff that just went downhill for him would never have happened if he refrained from going so far in rescuing Garrett (do they not have Icers? Come on.) And I never read the old X-Men comics so I don't know anything about Gambit's dirty doings (but he's still my favorite X-Men character).

I'm beginning to wonder if Constance Zimmer's role is perhaps that of Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine?

True, Ward could have done those things, but the question is how can a short time with S.H.I.E.L.D. and Coulson's team combat the years he spent prior with Garrett? Garrett got him out of juvenile detention if I remember correctly. Garrett made doing bad things seem right to the point Ward's moral compass is askew. Ward felt loyal to Garrett as he was the only one who was there for him and treated him somewhat decently, yet drummed into him that showing certain signs of weakness was bad, like caring for the dog. Who knows what will be in store for Ward in the next season. In the Whedon universes, some of the bad guys were redeemed, like Spike and Angel. Though, Angel was forced into doing good by being cursed to have his soul, while Spike chose to be good. Have to wait and see.

Mini Update: Rumor is that Mads Mikkelson might be appearing in Doctor Strange as a villain but who is not being revealed. Chiwetel Ejiofor is playing Baron Mordo. I have a feeling that Mikkelson might play Dormammu.

They did bounce around a bit... First it was the pollution of the world that forced the Inhumans to go to the Blue area of the moon, but they were all back in their home city for the events of Infinity. Black Bolt and Thanos going toe to toe is still my favorite moment... Then they ended up back on the moon and then went further into space if I remember correctly. Though it was during Infinity when they released the Terrigan Mist all over the world activating powers in certain people.

Honestly I would love to see them do a Pet Avengers movie after they do the Inhumans... Younger kids would get a kick out of it I think. Lockjaw, Hairball, Red Wing, Throg and Lockheed? Well Lockheed might be a problem since he's attached to Kitty Pryde, though they worked their way around the mutant thing with Quicksilver and the Scarlett Witch so who knows? Would still be fun to see since Lockjaw has beat Thanos before and they could probably slide in Zabu to hint at introducing Ka-Zar and the Savage Lands if they felt like it. Probably never going to happen since I'm still waiting on Fin Fang Foom and MODOK...

I can't say anything about AOS since I'm still waiting on Season 2... I will say I don't mind spoilers though I can't speak for anyone else!

Tony had a hallucination of the Avengers dying and the Earth invaded as Cap said his last words. I would love if they did a similar scene in Civil War not the same exact words because I would think it wouldn't work that way but something close to make Tony see what has happened because of their actions.

You mean like, in the middle of the actual Civil War battle, he sees the carnage/destruction going on around him as a result of the schism between the teams and realizes to his horror that once again, this is all his fault? I'd love that, especially if he does so without having Wanda use her powers to make him hallucinate. This would make sense because he really had no good reason why he just overcame his PTSD in IM3 (among the myriad other continuity problems and whatnot from that film).

EIther in the middle of the battle itself or if Cap dies like a lot of us are expecting him too.

In the original storyline the Watcher showed Iron Man a better future if Iron Man stopped for a minute and trusted Cap from the start and everything could have been avoided. This scene right here sums it up after seeing the future he prevented

"It wasn't worth it"

Then between this and RDJ's next movie appearance we could see that he's given up being Iron Man and has shut himself away from the world.

Kinda like Bruce Wayne did after the Dark Knight movie.

Then Thanos shows up and it prompts him to don the Iron Man suit one more time.

I don't like it. He's too important to the team to just do that. His technology is presumably responsible for Cap's magnetic boomerang-shield gadget, as well as Falcon's new wings and those nifty goggles that allowed him to

and of course War Machine's armor. If he just stays alone in his workshop like in Iron Man 3 from now on, what was the point of Iron Man 3 (actually, even if that didn't happen, what was the point? Sorry, so many dead horses lying dead in my yard, can't help but take a whack at them when it's been a while).

I wouldn't object to him flying off in his suit to do some soul-searching, maybe even take off for the stars in an experimental spacecraft (Guardians cameo, anyone?) and he returns to Earth later on to herald the invasion of Thanos and prepare everyone to stand up to the tyrant. Him just going all TDKR does not bode well for pleasing fans.

Speaking of Thanos I am rather curious what the plan will be if the titan gets his hands on all Six Infinity Stones?

They made it perfectly clear that no mortal can withstand possessing their powers...multiples times in fact.  So unless they form a massive conga line with Star Lord wearing the Gauntlet I am curious what they are going to do for Infinity War

They made it perfectly clear that no mortal can withstand possessing their powers...multiples times in fact.  So unless they form a massive conga line with Star Lord wearing the Gauntlet I am curious what they are going to do for Infinity War

Well we know one powerful being can withstand holding one stone, and they can cram it into one of their inanimate weapons if they like. So it's possible to buffer them to a degree. I'd imagine the Gauntlet is the mother of all buffers and the one wielding it can survive the use of all six gems and control reality. Otherwise what's the point of the Gauntlet, why not just get the stones and the Gauntlet be damned?

I still think it's way too soon to be messing with a story like this, though. Not one of the Guardians is really strong enough to tangle with Thanos (possibly Groot, if in full condition and in a conducive environment) and only Thor or the Hulk can hope to do that as part of the Avengers, with maybe Scarlet Witch if she controls her powers better, and Vision if the Mind Gem doesn't get ripped out of him and completely deactivate his body. Doctor Strange, possibly, and certainly Captain Marvel, but then you have to consider Thanos with one or more Infinity Gems in his possession, and that just makes the gap seem insurmountable, let alone with all six of them. So unless the goal is keeping them out of his hands rather than stopping him once he has all of them, I'd imagine lots of Deux Ex Machina type stuff going on that will make us walk out of theaters with conflicted looks on our faces.

Here's the other problem: It's almost a universal complaint that Marvel has weak villains. While that is pretty much true for the most part, Thanos does look pretty menacing so far, although him not getting up out of his floating chair until the post-credits scene of AoU does leave us scratching out heads and going, "Oh, you're just doing this NOW?" Plus he gave up one IS to Loki in the chance to acquire another, and ended up losing both. Not so smart. For a guy who supposedly wants to lose subconsciously, this still reeks of questionable boss-bad-guy-ness. If he's got minions who can stand against the united good guy forces, we haven't seen them yet. And we still need to spend time collecting the last two unseen Infinity Gems somewhere in the next couple of Phase 3 films. I just don't think there's going to be adequate time for character development before they trot out the baddest of the bad. Plus where does that leave us for Phase 4, or the TV universes?

They could put Phase 3 on hold as far as the Infinity stuff goes and maybe have a Secret Wars instead. This will truly push the Avengers to figure out the nature of good and evil as they are put to the ultimate test. The stakes are their own lives and their own survival, not simply for the greater good, which will force them to question their own motivations (Tony's self-interest and Steve's selflessness, but to the extreme). This would also set the stage for a real reconciliation after Civil War, the perfect thing for the conclusion of Phase 3 and go into Phase 4 with even bigger threats, leading more appropriately up to an Infinity Saga or whatever they'd call it (using 'War' in their titles is bound to get old by then). They will also meet each other and make introductions that haven't yet been made yet in the films, like new characters from Phase 3 getting to rub elbows with anyone they haven't gotten the chance to shake hands with. They will face their villains, and others' villains, to test their mettle against even worse odds. Leadership positions may be shaken and end up in others' hands. Weaker characters might get an upgrade (that is where Spider-Man found the symbiote, isn't it?)

That's my spiel. Something with more time for build-up. It's not like Marvel needs to play catch-up with DC and have their version of Darkseid make a splash before the real Darkseid shows up to threaten the Justice League, is it?

Only the voice? I mean, yeah, he's kinda old and probably out of shape, but he's always been good in everything I've seen him in. But his voice is awesome, so that's cool. Keith David is kinda in the same boat.

But how does that work? Is the actor in the suit never going to be outside the suit or are they planning to dub Todd's voice over everything that person is saying? Or is this some different version of Zoom?

From reading the article Tony Todd is the voice of Zoom in the same way James Earl Jones did the voice of Darth Vader. Also we should see Zoom outside the suit but won't have a clue who it is because they look or sound anything like Zoom.

It looks like we might possibly be seeing the Green Lantern appear in Arrow this season. Well, at least Coast City. They teased it with a welcome sign for the city with part of the Green Lantern saying on it. It would be awesome to see Hal Jordan appearing. They've already mentioned Ferris Airways in previous seasons.

They could have Zoom just be a being encased in a special armor to give him form. That his body is pure Speed Force energy. Which would make sense if they are having Tony Todd do his voice, which is very cool.

Apparently Michael Shannon is backtracking his comments about Zod appearing. Now he is saying that it might be a ghost thing in which Zod appears.
