Ancient trouble in modern New York (F for Dom M Pharaoh, writer gender any)

Rosalyn Summers has been working her ass off for months since getting the job as the assistant to the New York Museum of Natural History's director and finally, finally the man trusts her enough catalogue new arrivals after hours without his supervision... and what is even more exciting, a brand new Ancient Egyptian mummy just arrived! A real early dynasty pharaoh! How cool is that?! Apparently this guy died in his early twenties or something and was a hair away from controlling the whole of Egypt with an iron fist before his demise.

In the sarcophagus's crate was this weird book made entirely on onyx... only, it's latched shut with an intricate lock and there is no key or object that could be used a key anywhere in the crate or sarcophagus, the archaeologists that made the discovery even made note of it's absence anywhere in the tomb as well within their report.

Little does Rosalyn know as she's busy as work cataloging all the new Egypt exhibit items, eager to please her boss... there is so much more going on that she knows and she's about to wind up smack dab in the middle of it...

Okay, here is the thing. There will be a cult residing in New York that conspired with money and connections to get the pharaoh brought the museum... the cult leaders and their priests will break into the museum with the missing key to the black book in hand and begin their ritual to bring their great and powerful pharaoh back to life as the living dead.

In order to achieve this, his life force must be tied with another and that individual will share his eternal youth, but not his power, making that person the ideal anchor to this world. I was thinking they would choose to use Rosalyn instead of one of them, providing their leader and god not only an anchor tying his to the physical world, but a consort/queen as well ;)

Lots of things we could do with this. He could choose to go all powerful conqueror on the world or go more subtle by becoming one of the most wealthy and influential men in the world with far reaching connections or anything else my partner might think up.
