Star Wars the Old Republic

I... REALLY don't know how to feel with the release of the High Republic announcement. It throws out all the built things that we know and love, but... Maybe we need it? I... I am not sure. What I do know, is I want an OLD REPUBLIC game with no Skywalker stress. That he isn't the great limit. People of the Force should be amazing. So, I hope I can find a GM that will have fun with a great OR story with us. I don't mind the Sith Wars or not.

The Star Wars: The Old Republic mmo probably has a lot of useful stuff to draw on too. I'd a lot of fun playing my Imperial Agent and Síth Warrior in that :) Especially when the Sith Warrior threatened to kill and eat someone when going for an indimidation attempt :)

Recently been developing my shadow class jedi on Old republic myself.  I also am in the works of developing my own Star Wars rp character as well, basically a Shadow/Infiltrator class Grey Jedi, but I'll never say no to the possibility of a mass group Star Wars Rp.  :P  I was curious though, from a lore perspective whether the gravity well technology found in the 1st generation Interdictor class Starships was originally built during the first generation or the technology was originally developed during the Old Republic era....

I'd certainly be interested in some Old Republic fun. Loved the MMO when I played though the gameplay couldn't keep me hooked once I was done with the class story. Hell if I know what I'd play but I'm sure I'd find a niche here.

  I can come up with something in the KOTOR era.  If I reprise one of my old plots, I can get it started pretty fast!  (Or i can work up something new.) 

  But it won't be based on the MMO.  I never played that. 

  Never payed KOTOR, either, I only know it because I've don'e some reading on the setting book.

  I usually play something set at the tail end of the erra, in the aftermath of the last sith invasion stuff.  Maybe an alternate time line where I have more leeway wiht events and we could be part of resiting the Mandalorian Crusade? 

  Or just a recontruction stuff...

  Would people prefer level 1, level 3, or level 9?  At level nine we could have started a prestige class like jedi knight or bounty hunter.  :)

I try to maintain 2  game advancing posts a week, no more than three.  It can take a bit of momentum before i know how to handle a late poster, and that will sometimes slow us down, but usually if you boop me on the snoot for a day or two i'll pull stuff together and keep us going.

Erotic Content: 

My preference for a game like this is to put it in NCES (i have a large groups board there i host star wars on.)  It wouldn't be a non con or even smut focused game, but nor would it shy away from these things.  If a few people don't want to RP non con but don't mind coming upon the aftermath and such, we can still do it on this forum. 

What I'd like to know from people is--understanding that erotic content is not a primary goal of the game, and should evolve organically from the plot--what kinds of erotic content will people enjoy, and is non consensual off limits?  (Note, I usually play non con more as "forceful seduction" than as "throw the girl down and gang bang her.") 

That and i'm still interested in the other questions.  :) 

I'd like around six to nine players--seven is ideal, but i can easily handle up to nine or ten in play by post.

To those of you who want to play girls, you don't have too, but you could spoil me rotten by playing a virgin that one GM character or another would get to be her first.  Similar spoiling would happen if the guys focused their attention on the GM PC girl i'll bring. 

But that's just a selfish fantasy.  I'm happy to run the game whether or not you indulge it.

  That's right, Gilgamesh, Star Wars Saga Edition.  Its a d20 style game that they came out with near the end of the publication run of 3.5 D&D.  I like it.  I think it's crunchy enough to have fun with without getting bogged down in minutia or opposed rolls.   I'm happy to help with the character creation as much or as little as you like.  (I'm going to make a google drive for people who want my help with sheets.)

Always great to have people who aren't force users.  You can come to the Force form a lot of directions in this system, but like any system if you invest in one thing you're not investing in something else.

i do apove of having some roll to play if we get into a ship's battle.  if we get enough pilots we may need a way to bring another an escort fighter or two! 

  If you have teh skills for both a pilot and a slicer, there's lot of stations on a ship you  can man.  Sensors, Pilot, copilot.

  Not particularly.  It's not a dark side game, so no sith or others fallen to the dark side.  Otherwise, anyone presented as a PC race should be fine--though a Misassi or Kissai would be hard to justify.

I'm not sure on the race but I'm pretty sold on a bounty hunter. I'm thinking of making him center around being like a sniper or lookout who just knows how to spot, track, and take people down. Need someone found, he'll find him. That kind of thing. So...typical bounty hunter I guess.
