That's what the Use Magic Device skill is for; it lets you use items like that, as if you were able to do so.

Well, Elven Sex Goddess and I discussed a connection between Grikzar and Morganthan, so if it's ok with ESG, perhaps a swap to get those two into the same party would be possible?

Sorry I didn't mention it earlier, but...well, I was asleep. :P

If that isn't possible or if ESG doesn't want to go with that, then that's cool, but I'm just thinking that we talked about a connection between the two of them so it might be advantageous for us to be in the same party.

So this puts ESG and Vergil in the same group and Lillic and Fable in the same group. If the group as a whole wants any other changes ( or if I missed any) I am fine with it just discuss among yourselves and make a proposal for the groups. It is really about what you all think will be fun for you.

I'm sorry but National Acrobat and I had worked out a cousin relationship between Fable and Asa and were looking forward to RPing that.  If it came to it, that would be more important then Lillic and Fable's connections.

If we move Vergil, Ruby Slippers, and ESG up, Chula and Coffee down, both sides will have a primary arcane caster, and the bottom group will have 2-3 people who can heal. I think that way everyone gets to be with who they want? Peepa has a backstory thing with Grikzar as well.

Before we can get to that point, however, I would like some input on which section to place the game in. Smut can happen but it will not be a main focus. With the connections I did plan on threads for characters to do side stuffs, whether that is business or kinkiness. All that said there will be very adult themes (for example on of the sub-plots I have planned involved a very nasty cult that runs a slavery ring, slaves put to the most unsavory of purposes).

Because some of the members of this cult are not human descriptions of their lairs and what not could get graphic so I was thinking NC: Exotic or extreme. What do you all think?

Hmm....either would work. If you're not planning for Smut, then I personally would suggest Exotic. :-) It gives us some freedom, but doesn't mandate that smut MUST happen. I'm fine either way though :D


And BTW, Connection PM's are sent out! I've only sent PM's to the party that Grikzar has been assigned to (except one, who seems to have blocked my PM's for some reason, despite me not being aware that we've ever even spoken...that's odd >.> ), but if anybody from the other party wants to make a connection with Grikzar as well, feel free to hit me up! :D

Either is fine with me.  I guess it depends how kinky the sisters are.  Are Fey and Whimsy into incest and such.   Of course extreme does not mean only pornographic content.   It could be for very gory descriptions to fight scenes and or very sick twisted stuff.    I fine with either way as said.

Elven Sex Goddess: Working with PM's on Vergil in regards our chars connections, but overall my proposal being my char aided Grikzar to break out from slavery with his aid and in lifedebt Grikzar helps him. However in public persona Tilthul is LE Cheliax noble who is attended two beautiful elf slaves and intimidating bulky half-orc bodyguard (who wears helm/well covering armor in public).

So perhaps at night your char met both Grikzar and Tilthul in their alter egos (Tilthul in his vigilante persona and Grikzar as unmasked self). As drawn to Grikzar you two started 'date' and such and then once you got further involved, learned Grikzar worked for Tilthul and then through several meetings learned Tilthul was the vigilante who Grikzar was aiding that night earlier. Then learn the true relationship dynamic between Grikzar, Tilthul and his two elven slaves (who are more companion who had sworn to elven goddess to serve him until to his death because he rescued them from life of cruel sex slavery, even if in public persona they are attending him like proper slaves do but Tilthul is not cruel to them like most Cheliax nobles would be).

Overall everyone in group would be aware Tilthul is aiming to collapse Cheliax government and assign a new king/queen on the throne (however his elven companions both think he would make excellent king if he disagrees on it). So he seeks collapse Cheliax reign by creating chaos and try collapse the economy by crippling slave trade (and some other trades relating to bigger noble houses and frame other noble house being behind the deed and thus create friction which hopes to spark a civil war). Not sure what plot GM in end has in mind but these ideas were Tilthul's personal motives.

Hold your horses there, Zaer ;) Maybe we should finish up the nature of their relationship before we start making other peoples connections reliant on Grikzar and Tithul's connection.

I was under the impression that most of the party have already been together for a while, and my backstory relies on Grikzar joining the party after it was already formed only six months ago, meaning that he'd be the new addition rather than already knowing most of the party when it formed. My idea was for Grikzar to still be relatively new to the group, but indebted due to them freeing him from slavery. Hang on...

Ahah!

It was during one such suicide fight that Grikzar – who had long been plotting an escape of some kind, simply watching for the right opportunity –  noticed a group of adventurers who were in the port hunting a particular outlaw for his bounty...who just so happened to be his Owner.

This here was supposed to indicate that the party had already formed and was adventuring by the time Grikzar met them. Your version of events puts Grikzar being in and escaping from the Arena FAR earlier than I intended, which...well, to be blunt, fucks up my mental view of his timeline. XD

Let's see...

Current timeline:

22: Father and brother killed, he flees.
23: Captured by Pirates
25: (six or seven months ago) Met the party and escaped.

Having been freed by Tithul and presumably working with him for a long time (enough time for him to be trusted with his secret and get into a rhythm) would mean that I'd have to dial back his timeline a good few years, at least...when that wasn't what I had in mind for the character. I gave more details in my PM back to you, though, so we can chat about it there. :-)

For the rest of you guys, Zaer and I haven't worked out a connection yet. That up above was, as he said, his preliminary idea, which I've suggested alternatives and amendments to, so...please, for your own convenience, don't plan anything based on that connection until we've finalised the details. :-)

The opening post says "At least six months," and I kind of want Grikzar to have been recruited after the rest of the party had gotten together, even if it's only a few weeks after. It gives him an easy in to meeting the rest of the party at the same time, despite having been enslaved for the last two years. :P
