Teen Titans: Rivalry (Intrest check)

I tried this once before but I think this time I have my stuff together so it may actually get off the ground, here is the general idea of the game:

South City was plagued with villeins and criminals of all shapes, sizes, and members to the point that good people began avoiding the place. Everything was going down the drain when a request for a super hero team to be placed in the area went out over the wires and before long the mayor received a response over Facebook that two Teen Titan factions where quite interested in helping out the town.

In the Mayor's excitement to see the city he loved returned to it's former glory he informed them that both factions would be welcomed into the town and they gladly accepted the terms and began construction of Titan Towers, one on the east side and one on the west side.

Before long South City began to see the results of having two super hero factions placed within the city limits and once again people began to flock back to the City with 'smiling faces and open wallets' according to the Mayor. Unfortunately that's when the problems began, an unspoken rivalry between the Titan Factions had begun to surface and before long criminals began escaping to fight another day due to a member from each team fighting each other instead of catching the crook. Before long each Titan team was spying on the other in hopes of intercepting a call for help and earning enough brownie points to push the other tower out. It was getting ridiculous but at this point there was nothing the Mayor could do simply because they where still getting the job done, but it was inevitable that something bad would happen and change the whole dynamic for the worse.

I have decided that I want to use BESM 3rd edition for this game, I need people to play members of the Titans and at least two people to play npc's and criminals.

I have considered having each faction of the Titans having one of the original Titans as a founder, but I wanted you opinion on that first.

Hello, color me interested, and I have a bad-ass villain that would be great for moving into the city and forcing the two teams to either put aside their rivalry and fight together or quarrel until the whole place is burnt to the ground.

@ Blackstar: I recommend you find the BESM 3rd edition book somewhere... it's not in stores.

@ Lorcan: feel free to pm me the character but remember you would have to volunteer to play various NPC's and villeins if you wish to play him.

This actually piques my interest for two reason. The first is in BESM 3rd I have been the storyteller several times, but never the player. And it's superheroes.

As for originals as founders. Could work, but I'd think they did kinda move on to 'bigger' things.

Considering where this was posted I do have a question. How much 'erotic' do you see happening ?

well I want at least one couple that is made up of a Titan from both factions making for complications. I want sexual content to be welcomed into the game but I know that it can be disruptive so I may toss up a privacy thread or something along those lines.

Considering my usual strategy of creating character for system games begins with a rough sketch (in system numbers) in tandem with a rough background, would you be so kind as to provide the values and house rules you're thinking about ?

I am kind of leaning toward a character that was a big fan of batgirl (the Cassadra Cain/Wayne version)and is trying to follow in her footsteps.

Without breaking the TOS regulations of the site the best i can tell you is to do a search on the web and see what turns up.

I thought it might be fun to do a girl who was a purple lantern if I could figure out how?

Well here is the basic powers of a Violet power ring that you can use as a base to build it from...

Corp members of the Star Sapphires use violet power rings, fueled by the emotion of love. They allow the wearer to fly, generate a protective aura, and create violet light constructs.
Violet rings have several unique abilities. They can create crystals which can be used to imprison members of other Lantern Corps on Zamaron. Over time, the rings of the prisoners trapped in stasis within the crystals are infected with violet energy. After spending enough time inside, the prisoner will emerge as a Star Sapphire. The rings can also detect when a love is in jeopardy, locate it, and then create a connection to the embattled heart that can be used as a tether. Sapphires are also shown as being able to show others their greatest love. Unlike constructs created by Green Lanterns, Orange Lanterns cannot absorb those made by Star Sapphires. Star Sapphires appear to be able to teleport in order to escape attackers, while their energy constructs release a disorienting dust when destroyed. These two abilities can be combined effectively to avoid being pursued. Violet power rings have the ability to restore the recently deceased to life by drawing power from the heart of one that loves them.

Though Star Sapphires do not have a weakness to other Corps (they are immune to the energy stealing properties of an Orange Power Ring), they are more susceptible to being controlled by their own power. Love is one of the two emotions on the far ends of the emotional spectrum, and has a much stronger influence over its users. Unlike the Star Sapphire gem, which could force itself on a user, violet power rings must be accepted by the wearer.

Yea there are some interesting things that can be done with a power ring depending on which color you wield. each color has it's on capabilities and special powers unique only to them based on the emotion it represents. I need to see if I can find the oath for the violet ring and put it up as well.

Found it here is their oath when recharging the ring.

It only took me a few moments of searching on Wiki actually. Though looking over the various corps it almost makes me want to play one but I really like the concept I already have.

Like I stated earlier if none else wants the position of team leader then i will take it. In fact i think i already listed it on my sheet.

Also seeing as i am off for the week I can help people with there characters as long as they can give me a idea of what they would like to play. The more details you can give me the better I can build it.

any thoughts on how to build a ring?

A: High rating Power Flux requiring a Soul roll to reconfigure?
--Themes in the power flux include solid light constructs, computation, communication, and weapons? (And teleporattion, or that separate?)
B: Limited by the ability to acess the ring?
C: Limited by the need to recharge the ring every ____?
D: Limited by a code of conduct? Or psychological codition?

well it should be limited by a charge but if your using your EP to keep the ring in use that means that every battle you could run out of power.

Traditionally it would need to be recharged every 24 hours by holding it up to your latern and chanting your oath. And telepoert would be part of the ring unless you want it to be a power you personally posess.

Well, I don't so much mean part of the ring as part of the Power Flux.

For example, I don't get the force field without the ring, but I gather it's a bit more constant ability, whereas the comptuer and comunications need acessing and the constructs need shaping.
