Stupid Programs (Redirect and ad viruses)

Ugh, ads keep popping up in the lower left or right hand corner of the screen, all kinds of things, some of which I'm glad I"m not in public on my computer. The other problem, possibly connected, possibly not, is the fact that it likes to redirect links. Mind you, so far not links I type in, but links that I click from a search engine seem to be the biggest victims.

Ugh, tell me someone knows how to fix this.

I've linked a few programs here, however, if your computer is rooted you might need to find someone who can actually make sure the programs actually get run on your hard drive.
