I was wondering if there is currently a game going on that i can join, or if someone is interested in starting one. I've played D&D with my friends for over 7 years, it would be really great to play it with adult contact.

Yes DnD Shadows and Shades its right now kind of solo and my PC can use a friend, contact Zaer Darkwell. Its in an old thread of its own under the game boards.

Or, yeah, I kind of miss the 'good old days' of having a system and a party, sometimes.  But, no offense to Ruby and ZD-- I don't think that particular set is my cup of tea.

We are organizing an adventuring group and I'm doing a second PC, your welcome to join up we have three players right now.

You know, I too would be interested in an adult content heavy D&D game.  3.x annoys the piss out of me, though, and I suppose people around here are less into the older versions of the game than I probably am.  :D

Well, I'd probably be willing to suck it up and play in a 3.x version, anyway.  Or maybe somebody will get excited and want to take a run at it when 4E comes out.  I could see the potential for some pretty nice synergy if you wanted to use the social conflict system for, say, seduction scenes.  Especially mixing D/S and the Intimidate and Insight skills.  Well, the possibilities could be endless, is what I'm saying.

It's still really sketchy, though.

You know, the more I think about it, the more intriguing it sounds.

I'd prefer NOT to incorporate rules into things like, for instance, seduction scenes... role-play > roll-play.

So, again, I dunno.  My participation is like the kiss of death lately.  But if a good group, good writers, maybe.

I prefer to just role-play out such scenes not roll dice for everything, I hate 4e. Or cast a spell beguile their minds and just use them for my lust depending on the character.

But we need more players in Zaer's game the second group, and playmates for my existing character. Or both.

We can use a rogue, wizard and cleric and I'll wait until we see what we need before commiting to a character. Five players is a good party not huge and not too small.

Playmates for your existing character? Wasn't that more or less a solo adventure?

WyzardWhately

Well, I occasionally like having a random element and a sense of conflict.  You know, sometimes, it's best to dangle something in front of the PCs noses, and sometimes they can get it...and sometimes they can't.  And yet not have the answer to that question be fiat.  I'm no enemy of roleplaying, rather the opposite.  I just like the idea of having a mechanical framework around which a conflict can be resolved.  Of course, if both parties already know how they want something to come out, there's no conflict.   ;)

Clearly, that's not cut out for everyone, or indeed every game.

Sort of evolved that way I don't mind, just having someone say hi between monster hunting expeditions might be nice.  ;)

Ah ok. "Playmate" seems to hint at something else :P

Wizard> I agree completely. However, do we really need that under the blankets? For non-con, grapple checks can suffice.

Ha!  Well, I'm more into psychological violence than physical, so you can see why I'd gravitate in a different direction.  :D  Still, we need a GM, or it's all for naught in any case.

Yeah, but still, in most cases, using the current system a little wider than what it says in the books is very well possible. You can use the Diplomacy and Bluff checks to talk yourself into something, without the need of adding endless skills.

RubySlippers

We do Shadows and Shades, Second Group, New PC's---> So Join. We can use more players a group of four or five would be nice.

Zaer will GM.

Is that an invite?  Uhh, can I get a link or a pointer to the thread in question?  I'm at least interested enough to look at what you're doing, but I don't want to commit unless I'm sure I can contribute meaningfully to what you're doing.

Has this game started up or is there room for one more?

I think your best bet is asking over in the related OOC thread, or sending Zaer Darkwail a PM to inquire.

Greetings, Xillen
