~Save the Date~

THE STORY

Michael Tessier considered himself an ideal employee. He worked hard, showed up early, and stayed late, and never complained about anything. Of course, things at home could be better, his dad's health was declining, and his girlfriend Gwen had just left him for a much older man. But outside of that, things seemed to be going pretty well. Or so he thought.

One day, his boss, Jack, mistakenly grabs the wrong laptop from Michael's desk -- taking Michael's personal laptop instead. When he opens it, he stumbles across photos of a stunning looking red head. Upon closer inspection he realizes it's Michael, much to his shock. Not wanting to embarrass the young man, he decides not to say anything, and returns the laptop with no mention of what he saw.

Jack Burgess (Your Character) is an older, recently divorced businessman, who hasn't been able to find a long term relationship again since his wife left. One day, when cornered at work -- and to starve off embarrassment -- he tells a group of co-workers about the "new woman" in his life. He says she's classy, and feminine, mature, and to the guys he lets them know she has a figure to die for. Jack hopes this is enough to get them off the trail.

Then, to Jack's dismay, he receives a wedding invitation from his senior manager at work. Panic sets in as the invitation clearly states "+1", and Jack's boss makes a point of saying how he is looking forward to finally meeting the woman he has heard so much about. Finding a stand-in appears to be a challenge, his current twenty-two year old "girlfriend" finds the idea laughable, and actually opts to resume sleeping with her professor. He calls up old GFs he hasn't spoken to in years -- no dice -- and in a moment of desperation considers an escort service, but the women available look too young or too much like tired porn stars.

It's then that his mind goes back to the photos he saw of Michael. He looked so classy, yet sexy in many of his looks, perhaps with a little work it might be possible for Michael to portray Jack's fiancée. Jack is smart enough to know that the more put together his personal life is the better chance he has at finally making partner.

Michael is reluctant to oblige with this request at first, but then his boss offers to pay him for a three month contract to portray his fiancée and attend the wedding. It's more money than Michael has ever seen. Everything seems great at first, but what happens when Michael starts to realize his boss is beginning to really think of him as his fiancée? And what happens when Michael meets his boss's oldest daughter, Brooke, who is not only Michael's age, but the girl he's harbored a long term crush on?

NOTES

I'd like to start right with Jack offering the "assignment" to Michael.
