What was once a dried up and forgotten oasis of Shay-al-Quan, protector of travelers, has been restored to its former glory.
In the spirit of its original purpose, the Caravanserai will open its doors on June 6, 2020 to weary travelers from around the world.
Follow the path etched upon the stars and discover true luxury and comfort within our private desert hideaway.

What is Caravanserai about?

First and foremost, this is a mentor project! :)

Caravanserai is a freeform, sandbox group game which will take place somewhere in the Saharan Desert. Our story will start June 6, 2020. The story will be centered around the characters who escape from the challenges or boredom of their lives to what promises to be a desert paradise. Aside from your characters enjoying day to day activities, Caravanserai will have events for holidays and other special occasions. Fill Caravanserai with your drama, humor, romance, etc. We'll love you for it.

Who can play in Caravanserai?

It is our hope that Caravanserai will be have a diverse cast and writers. Approved members and non-approved applicants may create a character sheet and participate in the threads.

What type of character can I write in Caravanserai?

You create any type of character from anywhere in the world.

Important Information

• Section the Game will be placed in and whether it is a system game or not. Caravanserai will be located in the non-adult section but will have a sister thread in the Red Light District for fun time scenes. This is a freeform game.
• Who is the RP open to? Legates, Lords, Ladies, and Lieges are encouraged to put forth a character sheet. Applicants to Elliquiy may join the fun as well. 
• Short Summary of Player Roles and General Story/Plot. This is basically a relaxed group game for members/applicants to enjoy the joy of writing. Feel free to jump in and out of the story as your interest rises or wanes. That's the beauty of a hotel. People are always coming and going.
• Setting. Somewhere in the Saharan Desert.
• Character creation info/guidelines if any. There will be a short skeleton for character creation. Do not stress about character sheets. It does not need to be overly detailed.
• Game Pacing. Post at your own pace.   
• How much sexual activity is likely to occur or expected, if any? There will be no sexual content allowed in the non-adult threads. However, approved applicants can post more explicit scenes in our sister Red Light District thread.
• Whether tagging will be used or not. Yes, a small tagging system will be used in each post.   
• How guided will the play be (sandbox, directed etc)? For the most part, participants will be left to their devices and in charge of the creation of their own plots. However, mentors will present special events for your character's participation. No event is mandatory. If something does not interest you, you are not required to have your character present.
• How NPC's will be handled. Staff members are only being written by mentors. Participants are allowed to create NPCs for their own story progression.
• Will there be an OOC thread? Yes, there will be a thread for OOC chatter.

Character Sheet

Name: What's your character's name?
Gender: Male, Female, etc.
Age: How old is your character?
Sexuality: What's your character's sexuality?
Personality: How does your character behave around other people? Feel free to write a short blurb.

Eye Color: What color are your character's eyes?
Height: How tall is your character?
Body Build: Is your character slender, muscular, etc?
Additional Physical Notes: Do they have any tattoos, piercings, scars, etc?

History: What's your character's backstory? Again, don't stress. This can be a snack or full meal of a history.

*Note: Applicants of Elliquiy, you might not have the ability to link pictures. Please just describe your character via words in the 'Additional Physical Notes'.

For everyone, pictures are not at all required. A written description will suffice.

If you're interested, feel free to make a character sheet. Double check that your face claim isn't already in rotation. Post your sheet in the character sheet thread.  Hop in OOC if you want to chat and post a scene in the main thread.

Sorry for the delayed response! Hair appointment took waaaay longer than I planned.

But yes, you just create your character, post them in the character sheet thread, and join the fun. We're trying to keep the process fairly simple to not confuse new applicants/members. :)

Because it's hard to keep secrets... we're going with a gothic feel for the masquerade. Think black and maybe deep wine colors. Might change the start time to a little later to give people time to shop if needed. Food will be available at the party.  Anyways just wanted to share so you know we haven't forgotten and are working on bringing something awesome (fingers crossed) for you all to enjoy. Hopefully that excites some people and gets ideas flowing.
