A list of ideas loosely based on recent movies

To be clear these are not even movies I have seen.  Just a general description I came across in conversation or on television.  The move title which the RP is based on is listed as the RP title.

Frozen-A princess sets out against all odds to stop her sister, a powerful witch, from destroying her land which she has come dangerously close to succeeding at by turning it into a frozen tundra.  With her people starving and broke she is desperate when she comes across the one man who may be able to help.  However he is not going to donate his services without compensation.  He can either be a wizard capable of stopping the witch or a man who she has fallen in love with and as a result he has a very strong say in what she does.  He would most likely demand to be her prince making her do as he pleases.

Occulus-An antique mirror has a troubling past as each owner of the piece has wound up killing themselves.  I see this as a man who had a troubled life isolated from the world and as a result he only had himself to look at in this mirror.  Eventually he haunts it and jealous of the good fortune of others sets out to drive them insane with the images he puts in the mirror.  Currently it is owned by a woman who was brave enough to endure the ridicule for suggesting it was haunted and as a result a man experienced in the occult comes to her aid.  Together the terrifying experiences they share creates a strong romantic bond.

The Other Woman-A man with a weakness for woman gets discovered when his wife finds the woman he is having an affair with purely by chance when she sees her husbands secret phone he uses to communicate with her.  She confronts the woman first and is shocked to find she actually liked the woman and that the lady began to suspect something wasn't right but had no proof.  The two woman device a plan to exact there revenge but as she accidentally discovered his phone he stumbles across their plan and turns it back on them.  Female character will be the wife and the other woman will only be referred to not played.  What the plan and counter-plan are I have not yet decided and would love any input.

The quiet ones-A scientist has an idea that hunting's are not caused by the dead but poltergeist created by the living.  He believes those with stress levels  beyond there ability to handle  result in those who unknowingly create the poltergeist.  He lures a woman into participating in an experiment saying it was for the use of a medication to treat anxiety, insomnia, and to calm the nerves.  No such drug exists but he gives her a pill once a day that does nothing and proceeds to do all he can to drive her as close to insane as he can.  A man comes to her rescue discovering what has been done but her paranoia is keeping her from hearing him correctly.  He cannot stop the experiment as it is secretly backed by a very wealthy and influential man who believes his home haunted.  During his struggle to bring her back to sanity a strange bond forms which surprises even him.

Brick Mansions-An ex undercover cop seeks he aid of an ex con who happens to be female and is very close to the man who has kidnapped his daughter.   They did it to force her to give away the secret to a weapon she created that can quickly and quietly destroy an entire city and for revenge as this cop put away a few of his fellow mobsters.  What does she want in return?
