Though I would like to some or all of the above themes into play, none are singularly required. I prefer intricate and detailed plot driven stories flavored with sexual content. I am admittedly very particular about the quality of writing of those I play with, but I imagine that's why we are all here.

THE KINGDOM

The King is dead. A hundred years of war have left the once beautiful and mighty Kingdom a ravaged and fragmented ruin of abandoned cities and deserted temples. The young are born atop the dead, the new is built upon the old, and all of the stories of yesterday have been forgotten. The beasts and creatures of the deep forest, long ago pushed from the edges of the Kingdom, are beginning to return. The strongholds scattered throughout the land have become isolated states upon themselves and the young and brave who dare to venture beyond their walls step into a world that is entirely changed from that their forefathers told them of.

This is the Age of the Changing Wind.

STORY LINES

Life in the Kingdom is full of many perils, but none so terrible as the tethered heart. A young woman has decided to leave the safety of her family's stronghold and venture out into the world in the company of a traveling band of mercenaries. There are many dangers that await her, not only from the terrible beasts that now openly roam the lands and the threat of brigands and madmen in the wilds, but from the bold affections of the men she has taken up with.

Not all the children of men live behind the high stone walls of the strongholds. Some are born into the wild in the lands between - destined to a life of danger of turmoil. One such child has been so blessed by fortune that she has lived long enough to become a young woman, valued highly by not only her tribe, but by their enemies as well.

The fall of the Kingdom has given rise to spiritual turmoil throughout the land. Many, feeling they have been abandoned by the patron god of shield and the sun, have turned their faith to the cults rising in the old temples and the wilds. A young woman has been kidnapped by the Cult of the Serpent to be made a priestess of the serpent god Ssethesh, bound to a life of ritualized orgy and human sacrifice.

The time has come when the dangers of the world close around the throats of men. It has been reported that a tusked creature of the Deep Forest has been emerging under the cover of night near the Stronghold at Fenderlane's Folly and slaughtering the farmers who live beyond the hold's walls. The brave and able bodied have been sent to slay the terrible beast - among them is a young woman trained in the way of the sword and the bow. This will be her first time leaving the relative safety of the Stronghold and a test of her mettle.

There are some rare in their bravery and cunning who find fortune in a ruined world. The forgotten tombs and ruins of the old days gone past are home to many secrets and treasures. However, when a young woman anxious to find adventure and fortune dares to venture into the depths long buried, she discovers that there are old and dark secrets best left buried which would welcome a young and beautiful woman.

The nature of men is bent toward chaos. The northern wilds are home to many dangers, but few so great as the bold heart of a young woman trying to build the foundation of an ordered and civilized village at the very edge of what many would consider to be the lands of mortal men. The threats of wild creatures alone enough to test the mettle of most, she will also have to prove her worth to those who doubt that its a woman's place to lead.

There are secrets in the hearts of men, and what better than a woman to bring them to light? The Stronghold on the Iron Shore is the largest and most populous of those that still stand unconquered by the wild and war. Those of royal blood and loyal men who still harbor dreams of empire are most often to be found behind the high walls and long docks of the Iron Shore, so named for its black beaches and grey seas. The Blossom House, the most luxurious brothel in all the land, stands at the heart of the Stronghold's market street. Girls are bought and sold here on a daily basis, their flesh enjoyed, but it is said that all too often the secrets of great men fall upon the bosom of painted girls. What power is found in the words of strangers? Could the right words transform a slave girl to a queen of the land?

Once, the might of men had driven the creatures of wild deep into the forests and the great beasts shied beneath the shadow of men - that time is no more. The Northern Wilds are home to fierce creatures more fearsome than those that roam in the East. The Stronghold at Pine Hearth has fallen under the grip of one such a creature. Unprepared to battle the tribal warriors that serve the monster, the towns people must offer up their most beautiful daughter as a bride for creature.

It is said that love is akin to a flower - fragile and delicate, but even atop the highest peak can be found a tiny blossom. Despite the dangers of the world, the return of the old creatures, and the Kingdom crumbling all around them, the hearts of a man and a woman have touched. Can their love survive the treachery and danger that surround them?
